Ok, So I'm going to make this one really quick. I'm sure some of you want to know just what the fuck is going on with the studio and it's many projects. So, here it is a nut shell. I may expand on these thoughts later:
#1. I AM NOT DEAD! I've heard many rumors saying I died in a car wreck. This is not true
... or maybe ZOMBIE CROW is just fuckin witcha! ^.^
#2. I am not avoiding commissions nor people who are waiting on commissions. I still am
working on all the commissions in my list. Dracos, Marvikat, Blask and Hyenafur are
currently the closest to being done.
#3. I am holding down 2 active jobs in order to cover living expenses. This has cut into
development time. I apologize for the delay but rent + food kinda make steady work
my top priority.
#4. I know the game is in need of some serious fine tuning. This is being addressed and a
Massive update is planned for August. This update wil bring the game from 20%
complete to around 55% Complete.
#5. I will be releasing new music to the website in August around the games next updated.
#6. I am preparing to render a massive chunk of updated material from the DVD through
August. While it is still months away from being complete I do feel that this product
will make up for the delay in time with superior quality to what was initially produced
in 2007.
#7. I would like to thank everyone who ordered the DVD in advance for being so patient
and understanding.
#8. The HTH game engine will be going under some massive internal updates over the
next few weeks. If you notice anything strange with the game's performance it's
probably just the code monkeys fucking around with the plumping.
#9. I have found a place to live. Moving was quite a setback. I am going to have to move
again in about 5 months. I may be inactive again for a while.

General | Posted 17 years agoOk Just for a quick update. I am very much aware that High Tail Hall seems pitifully empty. Reason being that it is.
The net character updates will be happening later this week. I hope to have Zoe dropped into play by thursday or friday. Tanya seems to be taking a while (had to redesign a few flaws in her model but she'll be coming soon)
Also, Big NEWS! I am going to be dropping in some more C2 forms!!
Now, what in the blue FUCK is a C2 form?
A C2 is my designation for a crowd character! Yeah Crowd Character! CC! Two Cs! C2 ...yeah...ok.... fuck... sounded clever at the time.
Anyway these are basically filler characters for the moment however I hope they fix the atmosphere around the place.
Also, Just so people are aware, I will be adding varying degrees of interactivity to every character in the game at some point. However I feel it is important to get the main core characters out there first.
Finally if I dont respond to questions/notes/comments/emails ect. I've been having connection problems seeing as my area sucks for internet access.

As stated before the Rio DVD has been delayed a while due to scheduling conflicts and production problems. I apologize for the long wait and would like would like to put this out there: Anyone who pre-ordered the DVD and simply doesn't feel like waiting for me to finish this project, I am offering a full refund to the people who have paid in advance. I will require you to present me with your name address and date of birth as well as the date you placed your order.
If this is your decision I will not take it personal and you are free to contact me at: HTHStudios@gmail.com.

General | Posted 17 years ago Sorry if I sound like a bitch but I need to vent and get some of this shit off my chest. I do not mean to offend anyone with this (like that warning has ever stopped some ass hats before *slams head on desk) But I would like to actually start using this journal more.
I know that my commission list has stalled. I know that the DVD has been backed up for months and the game seems a bit frozen. I wanted to get this out there and say that I am doing everything that I can to get this done AND have it looking as good as I can make it. I don't want to just throw out a massive quantity with no quality. I guess if I have one question accross the board it would be this:
Do you want me to get it done?
Or do you want me to get it done and get it done RIGHT?
Thats how I approach every project. And yes sometimes (most of the time if you want me to be honest) I fall WAY short. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be pulling ginger out of the game in a few weeks to rework her character model as I feel she was rushed.
The reason behind all these delays is as such.
The thing that kills my schedule is the fact that I have a crazy-ass job. Yes I have a REAL job. I am the only designer for a large expanding company in NY. I have between 15 - 35 deadlines every two - three days and usually end up working from around 7am-9 or 10 pm without break. Everything from small signs for toothpicks to massive full page ads that have run in the New York Times.
(Just as a side note, Yes I have had full page 4 color ads printed in the New York Times *pelvic thrusts*)
But all that takes so much time and energy. And the thing is for all the exposure and portfolio materiel and even the (shitty) pay and praise at work don't amount to jack shit next to one comment from the fandom. and I mean this. I do feel terrible and I do feel neglectful and it really is hard having to watch it all move by so fast.
I get home from this and i am a fucking zombie. seriously. there have been times when I get home and i don't remember leaving work or even driving home. I fall asleep with my cloths on a lot.
NOTE: THIS NEXT STATEMENT IS NOT AIMED AT YOU! YES I MEAN YOU THE ONE READING THIS! IT IS A GENERAL PROBLEM I HAVE WITH AN ISSUE!
It sucks and it may seem weak but I get stressed to shit when people bitch me out for not responding to EVERY SINGLE IM or note or that it takes me too long to get things done (commissions, trades, ect) or that i miss so many deadlines (yes the Rio DVD deadline fuck up IS killing me MUCH more than it is killing you. You may think otherwise you are wrong) or some people just will find something to give their hollow criticism on.

It's been bad lately. I loose sleep over this, it drives me up a fucking wall that I have so much pending shit.
and I know some asshole is going to be commenting like

I'm not expecting everyone to be able to relate to this but try to understand that i am busting my ass trying to get everything done. I don't care if your a fur, a browser, an artist or at this rate the pope...I know that things are slow and/or delayed. I have to deal with it 24/7.
In other words please kindly shut the fuck up if you plan on bitching...your only going to hit air at this point anyway.
Thats ok though. A least I have more than enough to keep me busy. I do really get a huge boost from the comments people leave. I have to go as i have already gotten to work before finishing typing this. I may come back and add more later but I just wanted to throw this out there.

Overseeing the last finishing touched on HTH 2. I will be launching this shortly and yet construction on the main hall is still going VERY slow. Even the glass room needs a rather large expansion that I have not yet fully figured out, however the main sphere, lobby and lounge are done so hopefully once I get the girls in here everyone will be able to keep themselves amused for a week or so. I don't think that will be a problem. Still, I'm not impressed.

News Updates 2/24/08

The DVD is coming along rather well. Granted I am still behind as to what I want to do with it due to work related scheduling issues. Scene 1 and Scene 5 are both 100% animated and the others are not far behind. Once the animation is all done I will begin taking time off my job to get this out as soon as possible. Many of the problems I expected to encounter in editing are actually not as bad as I had figured so I may just end up crashing through that in a week or two.
On another note I would like to make an update to some of the DVD specs. I have decided to cut off the last scene in the DVD. This will leave the final project at about 45-48 minutes as opposed to the original 55 minute mark. The reason for this is basically that the scene is too complicated for me to get done in such a tight stretch of time. I will eventually finish it but It probably wont be any time soon. I really think this is what kept kicking me in the teeth earlier in the production so I feel it is better just to remove the problem for know.

I've been working on two new CDs for the last few weeks and it is coming along rather well. Updates on this soon.
Sketchcam Delays
Some folks may have noticed that I have not done a sketchcam for a number of weeks. This is due to my web-cam being STOOOOPID and rescheduling for the Rio DVD and High Tail Hall 2.

HIGH TAIL HALL 2 IS LAUNCHING SOON

High Tail Hall 2 Phase 1 launched within the next 2 weeks.
So WTF is a phase 1?
Phase 1 is essentially the base of the game.
• The first area goes live
• Some of the girls go live
• Interactive areas begin going live
• The new GUI and navigation get tweeked
• Sound and music are put into place
Now this is NOT the full game. Just so people get exactly what I am doing I am opening this game up in big chunks. The first area is called the glass room. It will have about 5-7 fully interactive characters in it. Once this area is stablized I will lauch the second are called The Main Hall. This area is pretty freaking huge but Glass Room has alot of hidden stuff in it I think should keep people busy for a while.

Ok, So it's been a few days and It's had a chance to sink in.I saw cloverfield opening day ...

Thats the date many on the interwebs where waiting for since transformers came out. I myself was not disappointed. Actually I think this is the best movie I have seen in years.
It has everything they promised and then some. It has moments of humor, emotion, epic courage, some romance (albeit with a coating of blood) and some of the most frantic, edge of your seat terror and suspence I have ever encountered on the screen.
This movie is designed to be seen in theaters so don't screw up an "just rent it when it comes out". I know it's expensive and I know your broke but I think it's damn important that it be seen in it's intended format. Think about it, you getting a movie AND a rollercoaster at the SAME TIME!
I know my phrasing of all this sounds cheezy but I'm very hard to please when it comes to films and almost never write very good or long reviews but this film is worth it. I went to see this with ScullyRaptor, Fossil, Era Dragon, and Dracos Blackwing and we where all stunned when it was over. We all agreed it was fucking amazing, but "stunned and shocked" was the words I'd use.
Now heres the thing, some people hate on this movie. They say it's not that good and that it doesn't live up to the hype.
THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO: is see cloverfield.
THE SECOND THING YOU MUST DO: is kill the sad, sackless, fucker who said this movie was "just meh"
Now, that being siad please note that this movie does do ALOT of camera motion wich may cause some folks to get sick. However I get motion sickness and I was 100% fine throught the film. Also note, that this movie is pretty dark so if your the kind of person who is into light romantic comedies and cute little films about penquins...this movie will destroy you....then rape you...then eat you alive.
But if your like me, and you've been waiting for a movie that isn't afraid to try something new and fresh, and isn't afraid to have BALLS and TEETH. then this movie must be seen.
I can't stress that enough, this film is BRUTAL and in a good way. Go see it before it's gone.
