aaa i feel so god awful for taking so long.. like i really am so honestly sorry

most of the reason is really that i have lost all drive for art and i've just. been in a huge art rut. i've been having trouble getting past anything more than a sketch and everytime i go to work on commission it just doesn't come out how i want it and i just get frustrated.... eugh

i have a convention im selling at in about a week and a half so there will be further delays because i haven't really prepared at all seeing as i have been having so much trouble drawing..

if anyone has any concerns or wants a refund then please message me!! i won't be offended at all and i completely understand, but if you're happy to wait then i thank you so so much and appreciate your patience and understanding unu

i am going to be out of school for half a year so that means i'm going to have a lot of time on my hands and seeing as it has been a while since i've opened commissions last they are now open!!

these are standard commissions, not the sketch commissions i've offered previously. what i mean by that is that you can now get the other range of commissions i have to offer (dont worry, you can still get sketch commissions!!)

so todays the start of a three day con joyride for me. this is my very first time ever selling my stuff like this so im real nervous/// but also excited!!
i dont think anyone here is from bris but yeah. this is why i havent been doing commissions... will get onto them asap.....

however that brings me to some bad news. my laptop is dead. im using my phone right now. basically the harddrive is damaged i think, cos i dropped the laptop. so yeah thats great for me considering i defs cant afford a new one. i uh... also havent backed up my things.... so.... that means that ive lost all my files.... my dad is an IT dude and my last laptop also died from harddrive issues but he was able to retrieve the files... hopefully he can do that again.... my mum said she can lend me her laptop for a while so i guess im not completely fucked. ugh.

anyway, yeah im real sorry for this. i feel so shitty and stupid ughhh.

i am very close to finishing university for the year (literally this coming sunday) and i am honestly very glad.
at first i was very looking forward to university and university life. but due to personal reasons it's been hard to get through, especially this second semester. so i've decided to defer my study for a year to take a break because i just. really need it. i spoke to a counsellor at university and they also agree that having time off would help me out psychologically.

having a year off would ALSO give me a lot of time to focus on my art (seeing as university is more...using programs and such i didnt have much time to work on art.) because i feel like my improvement has been greatly hindered. i dont feel like ive improved at all and it's kind of distressing haha....

but yeah honestly university wasn't cut out to what i created in my head. i study animation but... well i don't really want to be an animator? i want to study illustration but literally no university in the whole of queensland or new south wales offers an illustration course. well. ok maybe i haven't searched hard enough but still, they're hard to come by is what i'm saying. (basically dont study in australia for art. oh my god.)

so that got me thinking about studying abroad, specifically in america cos that's where it's all happenin yo. i looked at the list of universities i can study at and they do offer illustration courses so!!!!!! i've made that my goal to work towards within the next year... as i have to save up a lot of money to be able to afford it all hahhhhh

today i went to a bird sale in my town and it was. the best thing ever. i died and went 2 heaven..............SO MANY BIRd i wanted all of them (u dont even know how enthusiastic i am about birds. crie. i love bord)
there were diamond doves for $7.50 and i texted mum saying like. this bird is $7.50. i can buy it.
