Some big changes - hoping to move soon, among other things!
Posted 10 years agoSoooo there's a lot on the horizon for me and my little family. After ten years of living in Florida, we're starting to work on a plan to move north. We're eyeballing New England, with the hopes of establishing a brick and mortar store for my soap biz there. Woo hoo! We're planning a vacation of sorts for next summer to scout out locations and find a good spot to land within the next two years or so. If anyone has suggestions I'd certainly welcome them. We're looking at small towns, possibly coastal (though being on a large lake would be OK too) but I really just want to open my shop. It's been a dream of mine to have my own little store some day, and St. Augustine just will not fit the bill like it would have fifteen years ago, when I first moved here. This city is becoming too commercialized, and once someone has a great idea, five more stores just like it pop up around the historic district, so no one truly thrives.
Anyway, the reason we're going next summer and not this summer is because we are expecting another babby this year. :3 We have better timing this time around, as the little peanut isn't due until the week of Thanksgiving - which, while stressful in its own way, at least it's not during Halloween season when my costume shop is at its busiest! This time around has been pretty hard on me, so I'm pretty sure I'm done having babies. I'm only barely past the halfway point, but I feel like I did at about eight months along last time. Then again, with my last one, I wasn't chasing around a toddler while juggling two separate businesses. And I wondered why I've been so tired...
Next month, Ev starts preschool, so that will help ease some of the load around the house for 2-3 days a week. I'll be able to spend full days working, while she's socializing and learning. She's beyond ready for school!
Since we've got plans to vacate the Sunshine State within the next few years, and my little Ev is turning three later this year, I went ahead and indulged in something on my bucket list: a Disney pass. ;) Who saw that coming? I've been taking the kiddo down to the House of Mouse about once a month and just having a blast. Planning on taking Joe (who doesn't have a pass) to Epcot for Food & Wine probably some time in October. So this pretty much leaves "visit the Keys" as the only thing I need to cross off of that bucket list before we move. :P
Finally, I've been scaling back on the conventions I've been working this year. Pretty much my only planned convention for the rest of the year is AFO next month. We might do another somewhat local con in September, but that remains to be seen. Next year we will hopefully be back at FWA! I'll be bringing soaps and scrubs and all sorts of goodies with me. No costume stuff, unless it's been pre-ordered. We're also planning on Animazement (as always!) and after that? I don't know. I'd like to have the soap shop up and running as my full time income by then.
The end!

Disney 5k and Orlando Anime Day
Posted 11 years agoOne of the many, many things taking up my time lately has been running. Or, rather, training my body to run.
Don't get me wrong, I love being a couch potato as much as the next guy. But I've been out of shape for a while, mainly since I no longer live in an area where walking regularly is required. My lung capacity went kaput as my asthma got worse, so I decided to do something about it.
Last April, I set out with a goal to see if I could start running. My intervals were incredibly short, about ten seconds each, with roughly three to four minutes of walking in between short jogs. I increased my time until finally, this January (that's right, last month) I was able to start following the C25k training program.
Each week, the running intervals increase in time. And each week, I start out skeptical, uncertain as to whether or not I'll be able to actually make it through the full interval. My first week of the program, I was barely even able to hit 60 seconds. In fact, I had to repeat the first week, because the FIRST first week had be hitting the pause button on my timer so I could regain my breath and let my poor legs take a break.
As of yesterday, I was able to run for ten minutes at a time. Ten MINUTES. As opposed to ten SECONDS, less than a year ago.
I'm astounded. I'm in shock. No one is as amazed as I am. If you told me a year ago that I'd be able to actively run for ten minute stretches, I would've laughed in your face. But here I am, working on strengthening myself and improving my fitness.
What's my reward for all of this training?
What else? DISNEY WORLD!
Last year I signed up for the Disney Princess 5k, along with my sister. I knew I'd have plenty of time to train, and the incentive of not losing the entry fee (it wasn't terribly expensive, but it wasn't cheap, either) kept me training.
And as of right now, it looks like I'll actually be able to run the race! \m/
Really, as if that wasn't insanity enough, getting up at 4am to run around Epcot in the dark, we're going to also be working at Orlando Anime Day that Saturday and Sunday. I'll have a spot in the artist area and will be bringing costume accessories for sale. I've only ever done Jax Anime Day, which is a one-day thing, so Orlando's will be new territory for me. I'm looking forward to it. :) If you're in the area, come say hey!

Soapy Stuff!
Posted 11 years agoI finally got my fundraiser up and running, it can be found here:
http://igg.me/at/scruboaksoaps
It's pretty much got a whole business proposal written in. :P But if folks are going to be helping us out by investing in our company, I want them to be confident in our production ability. :)
Also, I finally had a batch of soaps come out a little less than perfect. As in, I don't really like how it looks so I don't know if I'll really be able to sell it or not. But at the very least, we have several local organizations to benefit people in need that would probably appreciate them, so I will still package them nicely and send them on their way. :)
I'm going to set up a separate FA account for the soaps, too. While not specifically furry-themed, I do have plans to create some merchandise around the branding that could possibly be of interest to folks involved in the fandom.
Now, to spend the rest of my afternoon cleaning... the temps are going to drop for the weekend and I'd love to be able to open up the windows and air out the house. That means I have to vacuum up all the dust kicking around from all of the sewing I've done to prepare for Halloween...

Changing up my career
Posted 11 years agoThis year marks exactly five years that I've been making fuzzy costume accessories as my full time job. It's exciting to me, because many small businesses fail (as in, never turn a profit) within the first five years. I am so happy I've been able to have success with this work!
It has been, however, incredibly demanding on my time. My business is at a point now where I have more demand than I can keep up with, and yet still not enough for me to really justify hiring anyone to help with production. When I try to keep up on my own, every spare moment of my time is taken up with the business. Throughout Halloween season, my husband comes home from work and is immediately on baby duty, I am working. I work while she naps during the day, too. I put in full time work around caring for a curious toddler, and my house's upkeep really suffers for it, not to mention everyone's diet because I'm not able to make real, good meals. All of my time is spent working.
So Silv and I talked it over and we came to a conclusion. We're working on a new business. We have been making many of our own personal care products for personal use in our own home (things like toothpaste, or dishwasher detergent, or laundry booster, for example) and we decided that we would start making soaps. Real, all natural, honest-to-goodness-from-scratch soaps. As in, put on the gloves and the goggles, we're playing with LYE kinds of soaps.
We've done a few different scents so far, and the reception has been pretty good! I'm confident that with all I've learned about running a business over the past five years, this will be able to succeed.
We've already done kind of a "soft opening" of the Etsy page and Facebook page, and will have a fundraiser up soon with different scents of soaps as perks for helping to fund our venture. My eventual goal is to settle in to a brick and mortar store to be able to sell our products on a full retail scale!
If you're interested, you can check out the Facebook page here:
http://www.facebook.com/scruboaksoaps
I'll still be doing limited amounts of costume accessories, but not full time as it once was. I'd like to eventually transition from one business to the other, because the soaps allows me to spend more time on things I need to, like tending to the household and playing with the kid.
Anyway, that's that... I'm sure I'll share more later. :)

Disney this weekend!
Posted 11 years agoSo we are headed out first thing in the morning to hit Disney World... we'll be staying at the campground as we usually do when we stay on property. Haven't been there in a couple of years so it will be nice to get back over there and pretend like we're roughin' it. ;)
Friday night we are headed to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for the kiddo's birthday present. Then Saturday we're hanging around Downtown Disney with friends. Saturday evening and Sunday we're just going to be bumming around the campground, unless other plans come up.
If anyone wants to meet up let me know and I will try to make it happen. If you have my cell number or Facebook that would probably be the most reliable way to get in touch though email works too. I'm usually just so busy with everything else that I have a hard time remembering to keep up with FA. :(
Also! I have a new business venture I'm starting up... I'll share more about that later.

I'm going to the City!
Posted 11 years agoMy mom rented out a house for a week in Maine, and me and the little bit are going to be driving up to spend the time with her, my sister, and my sister's kids. I'm really looking forward to this, since I haven't actually been to Maine since I was in high school. It's very beautiful and it will be the perfect time of year.
On our way home, we'll be driving through New York City, and guess what! I'm planning to make a stop to pick up some fun, unique materials in the garment district. I'm reeeeally looking forward to this, since I've previously relied only on people that sell fabrics from the garment districts online. This is generally short-run stuff that is available in limited quantity, and the things I've made from these furs always do well, so I'm looking forward to having some different things available in my inventory.
In order to help fund my trip, I've started a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/.....furs/x/8290365
The campaign includes various rewards you can select, to be manufactured from the materials I'm able to find. I'll be making purchases regardless of whether or not I get funding (I've got the space on a credit card, and I'm not afraid to use it!) but if I can get away with not having to pay interest on it, even better!
So if you've been thinking about getting a little fuzzy something for yourself, now's the time to do it. If you know someone else that might be looking for a little treat, send them the link!
If you're not able to contribute right now, but you're familiar with NYC, please feel free to share information. If you know of some good fabric stores to hit, let me know, or even some sights to see or a good place to have lunch or dinner! We will be there for two days (the first to browse, the second to actually collect the materials I've decided on) so we will have a little bit of time to play tourist, as well. I haven't been to the City since I was a kid, and at the very least I want to go see Times Square as an adult. ;)

No FWA for me. :( But, I'll be at Megacon!
Posted 11 years agoLast year I was on my way home from a convention, bored because I was riding shotgun instead of driving, and figured what the heck, I'll send an e-mail about Megacon. I guess my timing was perfect, because it happened to coincide with the time frame in which people could submit applications for the Independent Press (aka "I Made It Myself") section of the vendor's room. I didn't expect to hear back, but I did, and I got in! Score!
Then, a few weeks later, I found out that FWA was going to be the same weekend. Boooooo!
Y'all know we've been to every. Single. FWA. that has occurred since its beginnings as a convention in the lowly hotel next to a graveyard just outside the Atlanta airport, lol. We've seen it grow up from a tiny weekend con with just a handful of fursuiters and a Starving Artist's Alley where people spent money on my art because they felt bad for me and my husband being the only people in the room (for serious!) to being the incredible beast that it is today. Silv and I are pretty sad to be missing out, because even though we don't really feel like we fit in with the furry fandom anymore (and this feeling started several years pre-babby, so that really didn't have anything to do with it) FWA has been the one furry con that we still made a point to go to, since all of our friends are there and it is always, always a good time.
I'll be thinking of you guys over the weekend, missing out on the company of good friends and fun times like our annual pizza party. Hopefully, next year the dates won't clash and we'll be able to hit FWA as well as Megacon. :)
Everyone have fun, be safe, and enjoy the con! Oh, and if you're going to be at Mega and not FWA, stop by my booth (#764) and say hi! :)

Still alive ;)
Posted 12 years agoNo, I'm not entirely gone from the site. ;) If I never visited FA, how would all of my notifications get cleared out? Hah! I'm still alive, just... insanely busy. In fact the only reason I'm really getting a chance to update here right now is because the kiddo is sleeping in and so I get a rare moment of early morning peace. :)
This year is going to be crazy for conventions. This year I am tackling my largest ever convention - Megacon in Orlando, FL with over 50,000 attendees. I hope I will be prepared for it! Pawstar will be there too, so I am working on some fun things that will be unique to my booth that will also coordinate with their items, since we both use a lot of the same materials. And of course I'll have my usual fox and cat tails and leg warmers, too. Additionally, the sad news is that Megacon falls on the same weekend as FWA this year, so this is the first year that we will not be able to attend FWA. You guys will have to have the pizza party without me. :(
Other than that, the only cons we're working are going to be some of the ones that we've done before. Details are still being worked out for some of them, but I'll share info on the Facebook page as it becomes available. :)
In other news, Evie is already 15 months old! She can walk and run pretty well, and she's starting to talk. So far her favorite words to mimic are "banana" and "envelope." Weird kid. But then again, she comes from weird parents, so that's to be expected. ;) She also loves playing dress-up. We took her to the ren faire in Gainesville last weekend, and she wore a pretty dress, and just loved it. She'll have a few costumes for conventions over the next few months too, so keep an eye out for the ridiculously cute baby. :D
Still on a hiatus from building fursuits. It's been nearly impossible to find the time to sit down and work on a project that will take extended amounts of time, although if Megacon turns out to be a bust and I have inventory left over for the rest of the convention season, I may be able to make one or two. But who knows? My accessory business has been pretty successful so I'm hoping Megacon cleans me out. ;)
Retiring...
Posted 12 years agoJust putting a public note here that I am "officially" retiring from making suits for the near future. I've been having a huge struggle with being able to have appropriate amounts of time to work consistently, and after dealing with illness and injury last month and effectively losing three weeks of work time, I decided it would be better to just retire from it all together.
I can't say if or when I will ever make any full costumes again, obviously that is still up in the air. But as my daughter approaches a year old, her nap times become shorter and shorter which leaves me with less and less time to work during the day. By the time my husband is home from work in the evening, after chasing around a toddler my energy is nearly gone. Needless to say, there are different priorities in my life now.
It has been so much easier to do smaller projects, like ears and tails and hoods and such, so those will still be viable. My Etsy store (as well as the shop on my main web site) will remain open for the time being.
I thank you all for your understanding and your support. :)

Seriously? What else can go wrong?
Posted 12 years agoI am officially done with the month of June.
This morning, I found dog poo on the carpet. Which isn't too terrible in and of itself, because this is the first time Dizzy's ever had an accident indoors in the year+ that we've had her.
But then, she actually asked to go outside twice (this never happens, she never asks to go out) and pooped outside too. It wasn't pretty. :(
This afternoon, I happened past the place where she'd left her present for me this morning, and there were two more little piles, one of which was really bloody.
Seriously? Not only did everyone in the house get sick, and then I broke my toe... now my dog's having issues, too?
Suffice to say, we have a vet visit in the morning, we will see what this is. I'm hoping and praying that it's simply parasites of some kind- at her check-up last month she'd had worms, but meds we were given took care of that. However, being that we live in a townhouse community and homeowners rarely are faithful about cleaning up their pet's waste, it's possible she could have contracted something else.
Of course, this would happen during the month when I've been unable to work very much at all, and our con this coming weekend is going to be a total bust because I hardly have anything for it.
Can I just curl up in bed and sleep for the rest of the month? Please?

Argh, this month..!!
Posted 12 years agoStarted out this month sick as a dog, got over it and then Silv got sick. He was running a fever and getting chills and had to miss work because of it. After he got better, li'l Eevee got it and ended up having to go to the doctor.
Wouldn't you know, as soon as everybody gets over being sick, I tripped over a baby gate and managed to break my toe.
AUGH.
I lost two weeks of work to being sick, now the toe is getting in the way, and we've got ACC coming up next weekend. I'm afraid to say I probably won't have much there since there's so much work I've had to catch up on. :(
In the meantime, I am running a contest on Facebook!
animecat and I have been working together to create a mascot for my shop, and he(she?) needs a name! Check out the details here:

Jax Furs Picnic, who's going?
Posted 12 years agoNext Saturday is the Jax Furs spring picnic, who is going to be there? We're hoping to go up if all works out and the weather is nice. We always have fun! I didn't get nearly enough beach time last year, and I love that park.
Except the skeery bathrooms with spiders.

Welp... sick...
Posted 12 years agoIt seems like the world was determined to get me sick. First we dodged the crazy Florida temperatures going hot, then cold, then hot again. Then, we had a free pizza from Papa John's so we ordered it the other night, and what do you know, the delivery guy had a cold! And then my neighbor and her friend came by our house and her friend sounded sick, too. After all that, I found out from my grandpa that my cousins, who were at Easter dinner on Sunday, had a stomach bug.
Guess which one I ended up with?
The stomach bug! Ugh!!
This has really been taking a toll, I'd just gotten things re-settled from the craziness of traveling last month and started in on projects again, only to come down with this sickness. Normally I get rid of them pretty quick, but my body's super drained from having to feed a baby (who also happens to be going through a growth spurt, at the moment...) so I'm just so drained of energy.
I'm taking a couple days to try and recover, Silv might even be taking the day off of work so I can rest tomorrow if I'm not feeling better.
I'll have some more updates coming soon... stay tuned. :)

Blank Head Contest (Link Inside)
Posted 12 years ago
media is having a contest today. If you want to win a free head base visit his page at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/media/ and sighn up today. Back from Momocon & FWA, Back to Work
Posted 12 years agoWell, we survived both Momocon and FWA, and E was a trooper! In fact, after we got back home, she was bored out of her mind after having spent so much time hanging out with all the fun costumers.
We've recovered from our crud, I've put my work room back together and now it's time to dive back into getting stuff worked on. Karuno's head sculpt is well underway, his bits and pieces are going to be assembled over the next couple of weeks. Still have Fox Lemonte's partial, feet for Alpha, and Mangler's partial and then I'll be caught up with suit stuff.
As far as cons go, we've got Khaotic Kon in early May and Animazement in late May, so April will (hopefully) be a pretty quiet month, putting my head down and working as much as I can.
Also! To celebrate 1,000 sales on Etsy, anyone that makes a purchase on my Etsy store tonight (until midnight Eastern time) will get a freebie in their package! What's the freebie? Well, that all depends on what you buy, but it's guaranteed to match! You can also use the coupon code "FOXIE10" to get 10% off your order, on top of that. Woot!

Radio Silence
Posted 12 years agoJust dropping a note that I will not be around for a couple of weeks. Last minute prep for Momocon, and then we'll be headed to Atlanta next week. We'll be around for both Momocon (next weekend) and FWA (the weekend after). I don't think we'll be bringing the laptop with and who knows how much time I'll have to check in? I'll have my phone so will have access to Twitter.
If you're at Momocon, come find us in the dealer's room! If you're at FWA, I'll be around, maybe in the artist's alley but this is going to be a "for fun" con so I might just be hanging out. Check with Studio Neko-Neko or Midsummer Knight's Dream tables if you're looking for me. ;)
See y'all on the flip side!

Rough day...
Posted 12 years agoToday started off well enough, I got out to the farmer's market for some fresh produce and a breath of ocean air. Stopped at Hobby Lobby for some supplies, came home and put the kid down for her nap, then started working.
A short while later, Silv got home for lunch. He wasn't here long before he came to get me saying he'd heard a thud from the bird cage, and suddenly the bird was on the bottom and not getting back up. I came down, picked up the poor little guy, and he was so very frail. (He did not like to be handled much so rather than stress him, he had a big cage full of toys by the window.) The fact that I could handle him was a bad sign. Long story short, after a few frantic minutes, my little Sunny passed away. At least we were there for it, he has being held, he wasn't alone. :(
I have had several birds as pets over the years and one of the things that you never get used to is how quickly they leave, when the time comes. They hide illness, so you often have no idea it's coming. We adopted Sunny as an adult bird, so I have no idea how old he was, but he was spoiled during his time with us. It's going to be quiet around here without a bird in the house.
Fly free, little Sunny. Go find Miss Peach, she's waiting for you.

FWA - Pizza Party Art Jam!
Posted 12 years agoSorry for the relative silence around these parts- most of my down time has been spent catching up on work lately. So much to do, and not enough hours in the day to do it!
We are planning on attending FWA this year, of course, and as usual we are intent on hosting the Sunday night Pizza Party Art Jam! After closing ceremonies have ended and the dealer's room has closed, we gather with friends in a common area of the hotel and spend the evening together laughing, drawing, chowing down on pizza, and making memories together. It's a fun way for us to have a meal with friends without having to commit to going to dinner with just a small group of people. It's like a big room party, only, too big for one room to handle!
Since the con is at a new hotel this year, I have no idea where we'll be hanging out for the jam. Those of you that have joined us in years past, I'll pass along info to once I figure it out, and for those of you that might not be connected, either check adorablefoxie on Twitter for details, or I will try to put up a notice on a bulletin board if there is one.
Looking forward to seeing all my friends again! :)

Momocon, FWA, Fursuits
Posted 13 years agoDropping a note real quick. :)
Momocon - We will be there in the dealer's room Friday through Sunday. Come find us! Lots of fun stuff at our booth. :)
FWA - Not selling at this one, if I am it will be in the artist's alley but not very likely. We'll be around though and plan to do our Sunday night pizza party/art jam as usual! We're tentatively going to be there Saturday and Sunday.
In between cons we are taking a mini vacation to go see Silv's grandmother since we were unable to travel at Christmas. We're also planning a side trip to Gatlinburg since we haven't had a real vacation in years.
Fursuit update - I'm working on a couple of heads at once, making the most of my time. It's been unpredictable how long I will get to focus on them during any given day but I've got a lot of sculpting done. Kiddo is sick right now (babies are so prone to picking up germs, especially in winter) so it has been even more unpredictable this week.
Focusing on carving heads right now as most of my Momocon prep is done. :)

Fursuit Updates
Posted 13 years agoGoing to try and update this list every week as I get things done:
http://www.adorablefoxie.com/?page_id=81
Daniel Yote is -almost- finished, the feet are the last thing that need to be done! Everything else is completed. After that will move on to Karuno's partial.
Still having to take things day by day, never know how much time I'm going to get to work in any given day, although my morning schedules are seeming fairly regular these days.
Slowly but surely moving down the list! :)

Congested New Year's! :P
Posted 13 years agoLike most people in the area, our household is full of throat-clearing and coughing. Ugggh. :P A few days ago I was getting ready for bed and felt congested and gross, and it's been kind of a mild thing since then. :( Which really sucks, but what can you do? I've been camped out on the recliner for the most part, chugging water and orange juice. I've got homemade chicken soup defrosting in the fridge and some homemade sauce simmering on the stovetop today.
I hate being sick, I am a creature of habit and I like to be able to get things done during the day. Can't wait for this gunk to clear up. :(
How was everyone else's new year's? I spent mine in bed. I only woke up at midnight because of fireworks going off. :P

Important Update: Fursuit Commissions
Posted 13 years agoThings have slowly been getting into a routine here. For the past week, I've been practicing the routine and am able to get about two hours' worth of work done during each weekday. Weekends are variable depending on how much E minds being watched by Silv. ;)
I've updated the current commission queue list here:
http://www.adorablefoxie.com/?page_id=81
This lists whose costumes are still outstanding and where production is on each one. Most projects have a majority of the sewn pieces (ie, arms & legs) completed and/or patterned.
From here on out, I'm not going to be doing any "multi-tasking" on projects, I am going to focus on each individual project at a time until it is completed and then moving on to the next. This is going to be the most efficient way I can use my time since it's anybody's guess as to how much I will actually be able to put in to work each day.
I will be making a new journal every time this list is updated, namely when a project has been completed and removed from the list.
If you have any questions please contact me via e-mail and I will respond as soon as I can. :)
Also, unfortunately, since I can't guarantee turnaround times anymore, I will be closing for fursuits for the foreseeable future. After clearing the queue, I may make a few pieces for auction, but the majority of my focus will continue to be on accessories and vending at conventions.
Thanks! :)

Slow Going
Posted 13 years agoTo say the past two months have been a learning process would be an understatement. I expected to have a newborn baby that would sleep a lot, as newborns tend to do. What I got instead is a young'un that wants to stay awake and not miss any of the excitement. We just got her used to sleeping at night consistently so I can get enough sleep, now we're working on a daytime schedule.
Of course, everything is trial and error at this point, some days everything works just fine and other days nothing works. I've found something that seems to help get me some work time during the day - if I put E in her moby wrap and go for a ten minute walk around the neighborhood, I can get about 40 minutes of work time before she'll wake up and want to eat and/or play. Dizzy is ecstatic because this means lots of walks for her. I'm trying to be content because that means hopefully my legs will get into shape. :P So now I'm starting to schedule these walks/naps/worktime so we can have some daily consistency.
But to give you a good idea of how hectic the past few days have been: in the past week I've been able to accomplish work that I could normally get done in about a single day. Simple sewing components to a project take far too much time - the measuring, cutting, pinning and sewing all are done as quickly as possible without making errors, but 40 minutes a go is not much to work with. Granted, right now I only have been getting one work period per day (as the rest of the day is spent with chores and/or errands, in addition to tending the baby) but since E is showing consistency in the walk-then-work pattern, I'm going to bump it up to two working periods per day, then possibly three.
I'm also recruiting Silv to help out where he can. Either by watching E for me while he's home on weekends, or by teaching him to help with patterns/cutting/pinning/sewing, he's going to help me get caught back up on projects over the next few months.
Needless to say, things haven't gone as expected - they haven't been *bad*, just different from what I thought. I'm just glad that right now things seem to be leveling out a little bit, and that after a week of practicing work I'm getting that consistency from her already, hopefully that will continue for us. :)

Black Friday/Cyber Monday Etsy Sale, GAAM, & Return to Work
Posted 13 years agoFirst off, I have a coupon code for anything pre-made that's currently up on Etsy! Use the coupon code "BF2012" to get 20% off! I still have leftover con stock from this past year, and a good selection at that, so if you were looking for something go check it out. :) Good through Monday!
Second, I'm going to be at the Games Art & Music charity show in Jacksonville next month:
http://gamesartandmusic.com/
The evening of December 14. If you are interested in coming, I have a coupon code for 50% off the admission price, so let me know and I can forward that code to you. :D
Finally, now that little miss E has grown a bit and established some small routine, I'm finally going to be able to get back to work. Silv helped me get my work room back in order today, and we set up a place for E to hang out while I'm working to keep her entertained. Granted, the time periods I'll be able to spend working will probably not be very long (it ranges from 20 minutes to an hour or two that I can have to myself, anybody's guess) compared to the longer days I used to put in but I'll be doing what I can.
Because it's not certain how much time I'll be able to have to work each day, I'm not taking on any new projects, just finishing up the ones that are outstanding. Things will probably need a few more weeks to settle in and I'll be able to get longer periods of work time.
