My 2 cents on Pacific Rim
Posted 12 years agoBetween macrophiles, movie reviews vary a lot here in FA. Some people loved "Pacific Rim". Some people walked out disappointed from theater. I understand both points of view.
There's two ways to see Pacific Rim. If you see it as any other Hollywood movie, it surely gets lost in the herd. A cliché storyline, amazing vfx, lots of action, epic music etc etc...yeah, we have all that in Man of Steel, WWZ, Hobbit, Avatar...
Now forget about Hollywood and try to see Pacific Rim as what the movie pretends to be: a love letter to the kaiju/mecha/anime genres, a tribute to the japanese culture. It's a lot better, isn't it?
I know we macrophiles had another expectations for a movie like this, we wanted to see the kaijus towering over the humans, squashing and devouring them, something similar to Godzilla 1998...and the best we got was 2 seconds of truck crushing under a fat kaiju foot
Albeit the disappointment, I'll back Pacific Rim with all my strenghts, and I appeal to all macrophiles to do the same. Why? C'mon people! If we don't support these movies, what we're going to back? Superman? Spider-man? Personally, I'm kinda sick of the superhero genre! Yes, Pacific Rim is hollywoodish mainstream. Yes, as a crush fetishist I'm disappointed with the movie. BUT I SUPPORT THE KAIJU GENRE, AND PACIFIC RIM IS OUR CHANCE TO RETURN THE GENRE IS GOLDEN ERA! I know that's a common dream between us! C'mon! This is the movie we macrophiles need to support!
Oh...now time for a side note...in which aspects does IMAX excels over the other 3D systems? I paid 10€ to see the movie in IMAX and after 10min I forgot I was seeing it in 3D, I didn't see anything special

Giants The Jack Slayers
Posted 12 years ago...and suddenly Jack appeared between the crowd, raising the Giant's Crown high in the air, and all the Giants knelt and vowed eternal obedience to the tiny humans...
THE EN...
NO!
NO!
NEVER!!!
How dare you, Bryan Singer, to lower the giants so down in your stupid movie?! You'll finish up as a flesh mash under our mighty soles, you foolish bug!

Update
Posted 13 years agoTo IceDoggie23, Monstrous and DrkKaiser...
I won your watches some months ago, right in the beginning of my adventure here on FurAffinity. As far as I understood, what pick up your attention about me was my macrophile-themed novel that I supposedly begin writing back then.
Well I don't need to say that after all this time the only thing I managed to upload on FA is a bunch of paragraphs...that don't even have a single crush scene...
I think it's fair let you know what is running in my mind now...maybe is just me, but I take watches seriously...I just watch ppl who I think they really deserve my attention, and when someone watches me I see that as a trust vote.
Lots of things changed, and changed again, and again, and again...as these months went by. After my hormones blasted my height in the last years, making me reach 6.2ft tall, my brain finally step up to the challenge and decided to grow a lil bit. The chaos that tortured my mind over the last months is finally cooling down. Finally I feel I'm thinking rationally, and I can plan my day and stick to the plan, my resilience levels are much higher and I'm not delaying my projects anymore. I feel more adult. Now I can talk sincerely about my projects without fearing tomorrow I'll feel in a completely opposite way. So here it goes:
Right now, my main hobbie is photography. Non-fetish related. Only exceptions are the ones like I upload to my devART gallery. However, sometimes I catch myself writing fragments of the new fetish novel I'm planning. I still didn't develop the characters or the plot, I just have an idea how it will be and sometimes I feel the need of writing about some scenes right away :p I don't know when I'll have it ready, I'm developing the story with no pressure so...just don't wait for it.
Anyway the story is not about furries, so I won't upload it on FA. Here's the premise of the story: it's a tale about a VERY VERY small breed of humans that install themselves in a suposedly abandoned house in a popular summer destination...but after 7 years of peace and prosperity they'll have to deal with a family of 5 + their dog that arrived there and want to have their deserved vacations...
I have more ideas for stories/drawings with more focus on animals/furries...but that's what I want to do now, writing that story. It's my free time, and I'm the first one to have fun with it :p

...that's it. Peace ;)
