This document is a physical contract between artist and consumer for purpose of legal documentation of agreements.
Hello, and thanks for choosing CrystalRyuu as your provider for a commission.
Below are listed agreements made to ensure the legal safety of both the artist, and the one purchasing artwork in any form (future or previously made products).
By working with this artist, you agree to:
1. All artwork deemed as “NSFW – Not Safe for Work” must have an age verification. International age of consent for all media classified as “pornographic” or “heavy gore” is the age of 18. A photo ID and documented agreement of this ToS are REQUIRED before payment. The selling artist will not distribute uncensored NSFW images to anyone under the age of 18 or those who fail to provide age verification. Photo ID must show photo, birthday, and full name of the client. This information is classified and stays between the artist and client unless used in a court of law in defense of the artist.
2. The artist will not provide services that depicts topics offensive to the artist. The artist has the right to refuse commissions for any reason. This is case by case basis.
3. Displayed prices are subject to change by artist discretion. The artist may ask for a price higher or lower than a base price based on (but not limited to) difficulty, complexity, medium, and size of each individual piece. If the piece involves a physical product, shipping estimates are included.
4. The client will provide clear visual references and/or description of the commission idea. A quote of estimated price is provided after the commission idea has been given to the artist.
5. The artist is not responsible for stolen or copyrighted images the client has not received permission to use for the commission. This includes anything the client provides in their commission idea description. By agreeing to this ToS, the client relinquishes all liability of the artist to any copyright claims made by another party. These claims will be taken directly to the client.
6. The client provides valid contact information to the artist.
7. All payments $20 and under must be paid in full before the commission begins. If the commission is more than $20, at least half must be paid before the commission is begun and the client will receive watermarked products. The remaining half must be paid to receive colored pieces and the final non-watermarked piece.
8. In the event the artist cannot accept this commission at the time of request, the client will be given the option to be put on a wait list and be contacted by the artist when their commission can be accepted. No payment is required to be put on this wait list. The waiting list is not a separate agreement to the ToS, but a promise to contact when the artist is available to take their commission request.
9. The client agrees that they have full say to make altercations in multiple stages of the piece, but once coloring begins, all work is final. The client is entitled to two complete revisions before coloring. The client will have the chance to have input during the coloring stage regarding coloring and light effects only.
10. The client is allowed the following types of refunds:
a. Before a sketch is provided – 100%
b. After a sketch is provided but before line art – 75%
c. After line art but before coloring – 50%
d. After coloring – 10%
e. The final piece (watermarked) has been given - 0%
The artist has the right to deny a refund if the client does not maintain a professional demeanor (begins to threaten, harass, etc). These refund stages are roughly estimated for physical products.
11. All communication for a commission will be kept recorded in a .zip drive available for the client at request. The client may not request another client’s .zip drive contents nor will the artist provide this .zip drive to any 3rd party without client consent.
12. Clients are encouraged to maintain communication with the artist. The artist will provide the following updates:
a. Sketch (watermarked)
b. Line art stage (watermarked)
c. Flat color (watermarked)
d. Shading (watermarked)
e. Final piece (both a watermarked and non-watermarked copy)
The artist will provide these updates within a reasonable time, but is not obligated to give daily updates. The artist is responsible to give updates involving events that would hinder the timing of the piece such as (but not limited to) injury or immediate family emergencies. If more than a week has passed without communication, the client may request refund for current stage of the artwork.
13. The client is not allowed to remove or cover the artist watermark in any way shape or form unless the unwatermarked version is used as a logo or tattoo. The artist retains ALL rights to the commissioned artwork, including the right to make prints and merchandise as well as uploading to their portfolio. Rights can be negotiated, but must be documented with a clear agreement.
14. The client may not profit from the artist’s work unless specified in agreement. Prints and display are for personal use, and to not be resold or used commercially. The artist will not claim a client’s original character(s) as their own, only claim their creation of the commissioned piece.
15. The exception to rule 14 is tattoos and logos. In the case of these, the artist is only to be credited verbally and in written manner when asked who created the original art. The artist does not require future payment for logos used for profit (i.e. band logos, website logos, etc), only initial payment and future credit during distribution. A visible credit to the artist must be distributed with each copy of the logo.
16. The artist may recycle sketches and preparatory work that were rejected by the Commissioner for other commissions or personal works.
17. The artist has the right to display all commissioned work on any personal media format. If the commission is a time-sensitive gift, the artist can delay public showcase at the request of the client.
18. The artist will discuss rules for previously made art with the client, and all discussion will be documented into the same format listed in term 11 of this ToS.
19. Forms of payment accepted are:
a. Paypal (preferred for all online and international transactions)
b. Cash (if in person)
c. I do not, and will not accept deviantart points....I'm sorry this will not change.
I will NOT do: Scat, Vore, Diaper, Excessive gore, or Vomit! If I think of anything else, I'll add it here, everything else is free game.
My prices are set, do not complain about them please!
This T.O.S is subject to change, by purchasing from me, you are agreeing to all statements above.
I will not be held responsible if you are displeased with your piece after it is fully completed.
I -may- change it for you if I am not swamped in other orders, or feel it needs a change on my own accord. I give 1-3 WIP to make sure everything is okay.

Adoptable/Design Terms of Service
Payment:
Payment is via PayPal.
Payment is in USD.
Payment must be made within 24 hours or it will re-open again.
No refunds will be given once paid.
Payment plans are available for auctions that total 80$ or more, I require 50% paid upfront, and the other 50% within a week, no longer.
No holds. I don't have time to wait.
General rules:
Notify me of owner change! This is to avoid me assuming it's stolen and miss-used.
Do not take credit for the design.
Cannot be sold for more than bought for, UNLESS it comes with extra art to make it worth bumping the price.
May be traded or given away as a gift.
The "unwatermarked" version is a version with the watermarked shortened and moved on the tail or hip of the design.
Credit me (:iconCrystalRyuu) for the design at least the first time you use it, or when you re-upload the image.
The art of the design will be yours, but you may not claim the work as your own or edit without my permission. Credit must remain.
You do not get the .PSD file. No exceptions.
Rights to the adopt:
Once paid the adoptable is yours, the above rules still apply.
You may use the design in stories, artwork, crafts etc, however the winner sees fit.
Can be changed to any gender or species. (Unless the adoptable was a closed species.)

...Today we bring him home...
Posted 9 years agohere has been much crying since his passing...we lost him on the 18th...
He had an enlarged heart and was on many medications for it. Me and my mother had come home and he greeted us with a yodel bark as he usually does, his tail wagging so hard his whole body swayed back and forth. He was always smiling. I went to work on something for my mom while my grandmother decided to take the dogs out to pee. All of a sudden my grandmother is yelling as is my mom and I rush outside. Odie had collapsed in the yard. I ran down the steps calling his name and his ear perked just slightly but other then that he didn't budge. I checked and he was still breathing but barely. I lifted him up and he was limp. We ran him into the house and put him on the couch and he was convulsing while I held him. Grama tried to call the vets when I told my mom we needed to take him now. We grabbed a towel and rushed him to the car.
He was gone before we left the house but we still rushed there. They confirmed that he had passed. They said he wasn't in pain when he went, and that most likely he got excited and it was just a bit to much for his little heart. Upon examination he also had a mass in his stomach that was the size of a soft ball. None of use could bear the thought of having to bury him, so as a family we decided that cremation would be best for him. While coming back to the house we decided that he should have his beloved squirrel with him. So we drove back to give him his squirrel. All of us, my brother, sister, mother, grandmother, and were sobbing. We all keep thinking about him and how quiet the house is without his presence.
Tomorrow...we go in to pick up his ashes and urn...and even as I type this tears are streaming down my face. This dog had so much personality and loved everyone so much. If he just met you...he would get upset when you went to leave. He was very smart and even did a few tricks. If you were sad he would come try to make you happy. He would check on everyone in the house and would yodel bark. From what I have been dealing with earlier this year, he was a huge help as he never judged anyone and just wanted people to be happy. He was so eager to please too. He'd bring you his favorite toy so you could pet him and call him a good boy.
I miss my dog...I miss my Odie...I miss my companion...I miss my friend...
So much has been going wrong this year, I have lost much...and now I have lost a dear friend as well...

To add to what Hannah said. I have never seen someone always smiling. If he were human like us, he would have been happy about all of the little things in life. The only dog I have ever met that behaved as if he believed he were more than a dog. In 2004 when my grandma took us to meet him, he was just as sweet then as he was with us for his entire life. He was always excited to see new people and even though I moved out over three years ago, he did wait for me to come back every time. He learned our schedules and would wait by the door when we normally would come home so he could greet you.
Garfield loves lasagna the same way that Odie loved bologna. So much so that saying the word was enough to get him rilled up. It was always fun to watch him prance around rather than walk like a normal dog. Every step had a little bit of extra spring to it.
I had a lot of great times as a kid playing with him. More times than I can remember it felt like he was the only one that was there for me when I was at the point in my life where it felt as if I had no one to turn to for anything.
I think it was a nice thing to do to take his favorite squirrel to be cremated with him. He always tried to catch squirrels. One year we bought him a toy squirrel and had him unwrap it at Christmas. His eyes lit up so much because of it. I would like to think he would have liked that we brought it to him so he could have it.
Even though he died very quickly and no matter how fast I got to where he was, I still wish I could have been there for him when he needed me...
Once he comes home later today, I'm getting a better plague made than the one that will come with him.

Odie..we got you back in 2004 and we didn't want a dog...but you found your way into our hearts in a way that still rings within us. We will be bringing you home this afternoon, so you can be with the family again. You were so happy to be near me when I had to come back home, and with all the nights that I cried you were there. You brought me your squirrel and your stuffed jack and did all you could to try and make me feel better. All the way up til it was your time to go. I miss you so damn much. I miss many things...but your smile and presence is missed so much. The house is so quiet without your happy yodel bark and jingling of your collar. I miss you so much you dumb dog...there isn't anyone to beg from me now when I get bologna from the fridge...and it hurts.
There is now...another piece of my heart missing...one was ripped away in February...and there another this month...and another will be on the 24th...tomorrow. Please excuse me guys...this year has been awful to me and I may be quiet much longer. I am still having health issues on top of all of this as well. I hate 2016...

To add to what Hannah said. I have never seen someone always smiling. If he were human like us, he would have been happy about all of the little things in life. The only dog I have ever met that behaved as if he believed he were more than a dog. In 2004 when my grandma took us to meet him, he was just as sweet then as he was with us for his entire life. He was always excited to see new people and even though I moved out over three years ago, he did wait for me to come back every time. He learned our schedules and would wait by the door when we normally would come home so he could greet you.
Garfield loves lasagna the same way that Odie loved bologna. So much so that saying the word was enough to get him rilled up. It was always fun to watch him prance around rather than walk like a normal dog. Every step had a little bit of extra spring to it.
I had a lot of great times as a kid playing with him. More times than I can remember it felt like he was the only one that was there for me when I was at the point in my life where it felt as if I had no one to turn to for anything.
I think it was a nice thing to do to take his favorite squirrel to be cremated with him. He always tried to catch squirrels. One year we bought him a toy squirrel and had him unwrap it at Christmas. His eyes lit up so much because of it. I would like to think he would have liked that we brought it to him so he could have it.
Even though he died very quickly and no matter how fast I got to where he was, I still wish I could have been there for him when he needed me...
Once he comes home later today, I'm getting a better plague made than the one that will come with him.

Odie..we got you back in 2004 and we didn't want a dog...but you found your way into our hearts in a way that still rings within us. We will be bringing you home this afternoon, so you can be with the family again. You were so happy to be near me when I had to come back home, and with all the nights that I cried you were there. You brought me your squirrel and your stuffed jack and did all you could to try and make me feel better. All the way up til it was your time to go. I miss you so damn much. I miss many things...but your smile and presence is missed so much. The house is so quiet without your happy yodel bark and jingling of your collar. I miss you so much you dumb dog...there isn't anyone to beg from me now when I get bologna from the fridge...and it hurts.
There is now...another piece of my heart missing...one was ripped away in February...and there another this month...and another will be on the 24th...tomorrow. Please excuse me guys...this year has been awful to me and I may be quiet much longer. I am still having health issues on top of all of this as well. I hate 2016...

Posted 9 years ago...Odie died in my arms...he went out to go pee and collapsed. I had to go get him in the yard...and bring him inside...and he died in my arms...he was a few days away from his 12th birthday...he died in my arms...he loved everyone he met and wagged his tail so hard his body would wiggle...

Anthrocon wrap up!
Posted 10 years agoSo the drive up and room consisted of Jagger-jaw, DerpDoodle2k, Carcin-Ryuu, my friend Iris, and myself!
After we got up there we met up with our other room mate
Drakonicknight Who gave me some more advice for my fursuit head completion. Also got to look at some of her handiwork face to face! Also...got to share the 'MY BRAND' video I did a while back featuring some of her fursuit eyes XD So many inside jokes to be had there it was crazy! Also hung out with Rudy and some of his friends, which was delightful! Love you Rudy! :D
At the con I met quite a few people this time! Like
Jasonafex and 
kabier. Also made my obligitory stop at the DreamVisionCreations table...and I didn't have my head done on Friday so I go the stare down from Monoyasha ._. (since I have had my head for over 3 years now and just now finished it >.>) and bought a bunch of stuff...on multiple trips! 
Synnal and 
Anarchity are awesome! Made sure I had the right stuff and took all my monies X3
Also met up with
Starrik who helped me glue my face down, while I let her borrow my shaver! Through her I met 
Crimes (been an admirer for a while now! *gushes*) 
Sekioh and a few others they had with them!
I also got kidnapped by
Kironeem and 
Blasterblurby OHHHHH should mention that Blurby had kidnapped my sister cuz my sister had bacon XD it was so funny!

I did get to do the parade which was just wonderful. My sister walked me around as I followed Lunarhowler23 and her mate 
areus. Btw guys those two people I mentioned? Hella awesome people and a huge help the entire con as well! There will be many more shenanigans to be had with them I can promise, as I have found they are local before we went to AC.
So on the last night we made plans to eat hibachi with DVC, and met up with
mnementh and 
tygerstkuan (I am a huge fan of Tygers >.> shhhhhhh) which was wonderful, so when the DVC crew was done packing up we all crammed into two uber cars and went for food shenanigans! It was wonderful close to the con and everyone was hilarious and just great to be around. I had to get steak of course and tried a few things I had never heard of. Also got massage advice from Tyger...which btw already helped Carcin with his back issues!
I'm trying to remember who all else I cam into contact with. I will update as I remember who I came into contact with as my brain is just plain worn out. There was this awesome Wickerbeast I got to meet but not sure of their fa! This wicked rad Charizard who was super awesome nice!
I will post pictures of all the swag I got, and also more details on my suit as I didn't get to post much, but this year was just plain magical. I can't wait to go again, I love all you guys and this year went without issues at all. I am still coming down from my excitement!

On another note, I think I may have decided on my sergals name.
Kaydeeprod made the suggestion of naming her Aralyn (a-ra-lin). I find this name is starting to stick. We shall see :D

Posted 10 years agoA lot has been going on with me recently, and I have been pulled in multiple directions. I have been very very stressed and unfortunately it is affecting my health. Went to the doctors today and I was not happy with the results. I will not go into detail about what was said but I need to fix this...and now. I also have a lot of house cleaning I have to do (almost the entire house jeez)
This includes the work that I owe that I was unable to work on, as well as posting WIP pieces as well. So I will be trying to be more active and post more on here, twitter, facebook, and the other places I frequent.
I also need to apologize to my friends, I have not been that much active online and even in real life and I swear I am still here. Another update on stuffs!
Posted 10 years agoSo my hours are getting slashed at work which means less money for me. However on a flip side that means that I can work on stuff a little bit more and maybe be around a little bit more. I am sorry I have been so scarce recently. It really isn't like me to do that so I'm reeling myself back in. Been doodling a little bit between working and sleeping and a little bit of eating here and there.
So the work list below has been updated. I have had a few secret things that I have been kinda poking at too that will be shared sometime soon. I am not giving out any hints sorry guys XP

Posted 10 years agoSo first priority is to Mahad's commission which I have let sit and there is no excuse for that. I am sorry my friend that I let that go and I shouldn't have, time to watch more MLP and get that background done (I hate doing backgrounds and am not very good at it, so time to do that.) After that my next priority is going to be cleaning up my new crafting room. I may do a few commissions or something to try and get a list of things that I need to get there.

I am already starting to move things in there, and take note on what materials I have or need. I also need other colors of fur. I have plenty of the white and blue I need for my suit. I still need black and more white for my husbands. I have plenty of green for a friend of mine as well. I also have some hoodies and might start trying to make caplets for me and my husband, just gotta learn to make some decent ears first!
D: I need fur!
Now with that I am also already planning our trip to Anthrocon! Yes we will be going this year, I am not missing another AC for something dumb and am planning now so I can go! I hope to have our heads done by this time or at least our caplets. I will be redoing my large tail to have for the con, and maybe redoing my small tail but we shall see. I do plan on livestreaming some of this work and figuring out how to make my fins and frills work on my head, that is the challenge that I have encountered and I will not be defeated by this!
For those of you still waiting on a commission or a spot, I am going to be clearing my que of those who have not paid. If you paid already but we are waiting for a reason don't worry! Again...if you have not paid you will be removed from the active que and the quote I gave you may not apply anymore. I will be working on some personal projects coming up like new badges for me and my husband. My husband is getting a redesigned sona, and therefor needs a new badge, Crystal is remaining the same so no worries there!
:D alright done for now! Time to get my broke butt to work and make money so I can afford things...OH LAST THING!!!

Posted 11 years agoSo my mom's surgery went well, though she is in quite a bit of pain and keeps saying she regrets it. I have been to the hospital everyday except for today as I have to go back to work. Today they are moving her to a rehab and training facility that is attached to the hospital so she should get the same great care that she has been receiving. The doctors and nurses were great but I still feel very bad for my mom. Hospitals are very depressing places, I have been in them quite frequently and hate them personally. My mother hates needles and like me....hates feeling like she can't do anything. She is very sad and I am doing all I can on my end so she doesn't feel as bad. I may not be on here as much as I am trying to be at the hospital as much as possible. If you guys need to contact me please see below!

I hate hospitals...
Posted 11 years agoHad to help my mom check in at 10:30 this morning. She is getting one of her knees replaced probably around 1ish today. She is so upset and afraid and so am I. I love my mother and she has really been there for me when I was horribly sick and hospitalized. I also am not fond of this hospital at all. I have lost two family members here and they also almost killed me on two separate occasions. On the up side though...she has one of the top rated doctors for the area doing the procedure...i just pray it goes swiftly and with no complications. I love my mother...wish her luck and pray everything goes well...I may be quiet for a bit...this place scares me....

Posted 11 years agoWent through a lot of my old art...and I keep seeing where artist take their really old stuff and redo it!
I have had this thought for a while anyway...and sometimes its hard for me to come up with ideas now that most of my time is taken up in work, family, and other stuff. So I may just pull some of my really old stuff (and I mean really old...like before I had an fa old) and see what I can do with it. I have a few fluffy characters that never got lovins and I feel like I could do something with them, if not just enough to say I still love them and they mean something to me lol. I'll share my old art as I redraw them, just to show how much forward I have moved, as I do in fact think I have moved forward. I just need to practice coloring and shading I think. I am trying to stay active as an artist and I really feel like this would help.
Still working on sergals as Carcin's story moves forward, and we just got a sketch from Azrin as well as from Esco now! Really starting to show progress! <3
I finally feel like my art is moving forward some instead of being stagnant like its been in the past. I still need to work on some anatomy things here or there, I might do some practice sketches to get a little better. But overall I think I am getting better with differentiating characters from each other. Like my sergals for example don't all look like cookie cutter sergals anymore. They are starting to show life to match with the story that they spawn from.
That brings me to my next part! My husband is writing a story about Vilous, and about sergals and other things. That is what all these sergals have been for!
There are over a hundred pages now and more are being added, Azrinanei has now joined the group to assist me with character sketches and illustrations! We hope to eventually get this to a comic format and move from there! We hope to have a website at some point and a few more spoilers as things progress but for now has some busts and images!
I will upload things as I move forward, there are a few more busts I need to complete then we can move to full sketches and things! <3

Posted 11 years agoSo gonna do an update, I may change part of my sona's coloration. Gonna do a comparison and see what you guys think I should do. Since most people on here are pretty good with that. I shall update as I get closer. I need to make this choice and stick with it so we shall see. The more input the better.
