about my art and a small change...
Posted 11 years agoSo gonna do an update, I may change part of my sona's coloration. Gonna do a comparison and see what you guys think I should do. Since most people on here are pretty good with that. I shall update as I get closer. I need to make this choice and stick with it so we shall see. The more input the better.
So after all this is done...I think I may shut down my commissions. I am not getting many hits for this recently and I guess I need to get better before opening them again. I am proud of what I have done so far but...well I don't have a lot to offer and I need more experience I suppose. I need to practice poses and see where I get and really develop my style. I'll do some more personal art and see where that gets me, and I will decided if I open again. So far busts have really been my thing and I need to broaden myself. Final determination will be coming, as well as working on some of my owed art. May see a few personal things here and there.

Posted 11 years agoIn more then one way. Gonna be moving some artwork to scraps (not gonna remove them its ok) as I feel I have gotten a little bit better. I am also going to try to finish up the commissions that I have so I can offer more things! On another note, my list of people on facebook, twitter, steam and skype has gotten a bit to large so I will be thinning those out. If you feel as though you should be re-added just message me back! There are a lot of contacts that I added where there is no conversation so yeah, gonna be doing that today. Skype is for if you want to chat, be silly, or discuss a commission if you like! I am very friendly and love to talk to people, in-between my work schedule.
Again, by the end of today I am cleaning up my twitter, facebook, steam, and skype. I am not doing this to hurt anyones feelings. Update on a few things.
Posted 11 years agoSo I was going to attempt to livestream today....but I am awaiting a very important phone call from my insulin pump company. I did receive my insulin pump but have no idea how to use the thing so I have to receive training before the 13th. That leads to my next update. I will be gone from the 13th to the 22nd of this month. I will try to log in from time to time but this leave will be from my computer entirely. Those of you who are friends with me on skype or facebook may see me a bit more but there is no guarantee. We will be in Florida for most of that time, and then on a cruise ship from the 18th to the 21st. If you really really have to get a hold of me note me here or skype me, though while on the ship I have no promise that you will be able to reach me. On the 12th I will be working the home depot both at my local county fair...as much as I love the fair I think this will be a tad stressful seeing as how we leave for the trip way early in the morning. We shall see how that goes.
I will be attempting to finish as much of the commissions that I took as possible. If you have already paid you are top priority, unless we have arranged something else.
I will still attempt to livestream if possible and will keep you guys updated!

So my girlfriend
bawnii has received some hefty medical bills from a visit to the clinic she had to take last year while in the states and as a Canadian citizen, is being loaded on with a bill for something she hardly even had choice in receiving. Insurance is unforgiving in this scenario so unfortunately she is not receiving any aid for this.
I'm not going to go into any further detail as for the why on it but just that she needs help!
Her costs are over $2000 and every little bit will help..
So
Tape will be purchasing a Moleskine sketchbook that will be auctioned off to be filled with free-reign art as well as whatever the winner chooses!
here are the specs:
- Layout: Plain Paper
- Dimensions: 5" x 8-1/4"
- Hard Cover with elastic closure and bookmark ribbon.
- Color: Red
- Pages: 104
The sketchbook will be filled with mixed media works including graphite, ink, india ink, pastel and charcoal (maybe even more!)
SB: $50.00

Going to be uploading some art I have been sitting on that I have received when money was good. After that I may upload a few doodles I have done over the past few days just to see what you guys think. I am still working on commissions so no worries there. Tomorrow will be a clean house and work on commissions kind of day.

I just don't know....
Posted 11 years agogot the call yesterday...didn't get the job...wouldn't tell my why...I feel very defeated right now...not very motivated and just really sad right now. I feel like crawling under a box and staying there. I know that I have things to be thankful for but I am tired of feeling like I am at the bottom of the heap when it comes to many many things. That I can barely pay my bills and get by with my end of things, I don't like my husband picking up what I was responsible for and I have done very good about that, just no more spending or money to do anything but pay bills and food for the house. I'm sorry if I am not bubbly or giggly for a little bit...I feel so defeated. I will try to finish Ma'had's commission sketch within a few days and try to move forward on that. I need to pull in more commissions so I need to work on something cute and adorable if I can muster up my skill right now enough past this crushing pressure.

Had my interview yesterday and I feel it went ok. They are only hiring for part time (big surprise) but it is way more hours then what I am getting now. I am very hopeful for this job as my bank account is very sad as of the last few months...getting only 12-17 hours really sucks when you have food to buy, bills to pay, and medical things in the way. So I am very hopeful for this change. I am also buckling down on my remaining commissions and trying to work with my markers more to try and make that an option as well. I did manage to get a few more colors for my collection thanks a few friends of mine and will be showing more examples soon!
I will be finishing up commissions and then will be doing a raffle! The prize is yet undecided but will be art involved. Maybe a badge, headshot...who knows!
I may also do some freebies to help sharpen my skill, we shall see :D as I want to do more sketchy commissions! More updates soon!

So work hours are dwindling again...and I am barely making any money so time to look for a new job again...I hate retail with a passion!!!
Moving on...After these commissions are up, I will finally sit down and make a ref sheet for my ever patient husband, who hasn't had one at all. He has changed a few things recently so I have to update that so if I get art of us, it will be correct. With that being said, my prime focus will be these commissions. I know the wait time is crazy but I am trying, bare with me guys! I am not going to any conventions or anything big til September so I have time between very small work hours, and job hunting. After that I may open up for a few free headshots, what do you guys think? I may to sketchy busts with some marker work if I am able, though shading is not something I am very good at yet and I have been told that I need a better paper quality so I will work on that. I think it would be fun to do a few busts maybe on one page and offer that as freebies. I notice some artists doing that on here, and on their twitter so maybe I can do that. We will see what time permits. I also need to work my my fursuit head some more. I have learned quite a bit so I know how to do some things, but I tried to fur her....and well I need to rip it off and re-pattern XD I learned quite a bit from that little mishap!
Not sure when I will be streaming again as my schedule is kinda crazy this next week. I will of course being keeping you guys updated so that as soon as I can stream again, and update I will!

Livestream was a huge success as I uploaded a bunch of stuff and got many things done today!

No...I am not going to Anthrocon this year, I am very sad about this as it is usually the big thing I get to do but it will not be happening this year. Anymore questions about this will be ignored, as I am a little tender about that right now. Finances were not where they needed to be to go, and others that were going with us were not financially able to go either so it didn't work out. Though I do hope everyone has fun when they go! I love anthrocon as it was my first con that I could go to and it was always a blast. I can't wait to see all the pictures when everyone comes back!

Livestream was a huge success as I uploaded a bunch of stuff and got many things done today!
Not sure when I will be streaming again as my schedule is kinda crazy this next week. I will of course being keeping you guys updated so that as soon as I can stream again, and update I will!

Finances were not where they needed to be to go, and others that were going with us were not financially able to go either so it didn't work out. Though I do hope everyone has fun when they go! I am uploading some of the commissions I received, doodles I have done, and stupid things I haven't posted. As for today I shall be cleaning up the house for a bit, then I will be working on commissions for a bit. I will also be responding to messages that have been piling up lol. I may livestream depending on how I feel and that will be later in the evening. When I start the livestream or whatever service I use, I will put up an image and a journal so stay posted guys :D

Now with that said I can carry on. Also work hours are all over the place...I have none and then a bunch, so time is crazy right now plus making a lot of doctors appointments. I am working on commissions still. There really isn't much excuse for the time-frame that this stuff took but I had a bit of trouble a little while back, I won't go into details. On the bright side, my husband took care of the insurance company and at least figured out a temporary fix for the situation that I had a few months ago. I am not on my insulin pump right now and haven't been since April. I have a new Endocrinologist and hopefully she can get me back on the pump and help me get more leveled out. I would also like to be able to drive, because if you have type 1 diabetes you have to be medically cleared by an endo and by the medical board of the state. I have been struggling with this for six years now and I even have a car but an no closer to being able to drive then I was before. Now this is not be complaining by any means. It is just something that I would like to have very very much. Now since the medical bills have come down quite a bit I am no longer in need of these commissions, but would still like to finish them and maybe open some for other slots!
Now my husband
Carcin-Ryuu got me these awesome copic markers for my birthday! They are expensive and like I don't know what but omg I love them so!!! So you guys I give you an option. I can't do awesome shading yet as I am still learning but for anyone who got a badge you can either have it digital or I can do a traditional badge for you, no extra charge! I know this may not apply to someone who is getting a digital badge but I figured I would give the option. For those who have waited I thank you so much, I really do. If you no longer want your spot on the list I can understand, and this is the first time I have taken commissions like this was unsure if I could do it. This is why I did not take payment upfront as I did not want to take money and seem like I was gone with it. I will message each person individually to confirm whether you still want the commissions or not, and will adjust the list accordingly.
For those who made it this far with my rambling I thank you, and I do have some art that I will be posting! And again if you have a spot with me I will be contacting you privately about what was requested and if you still want the slot.

Alrightie guys, another update. I am working on the commissions as promised and when I have something for you to proof I send it to you through email. I will ask for your email as I finish these guys up, pretty simple right? I also don't ask for payment until I have something for you to see!

My friend streulicht is in a bit of a bind guys. Someone got a hold of her paypal and wiped her accounts clean. She uses this money to take care of her family guys and she was almost at her monthly goal. Also paypal decided they can't refund her...what a bunch of crud! She is taking donations but will also do commissons.

Update, and all commissions open!
Posted 11 years agoUPDATE TIME!!!Alright got the printer fixed thanks to my wonderful husband
Carcin-Ryuu and was able to print out a few badges in between work. I also made a run to the post office today and mailed out some of the first badges that I have completed. I now know how many stamps I need to use to ship out these badges so I should be able to roll now and get these done quicker. I am so sorry for the wait guys, but thank you all for your patience and kind words. It means a lot to me! <3Wanna know what the heck I am talking about? Just follow this link below for full details on what is listed below. I don't want to keep posting the whole dang thing as it is a lot of info so I will just link to the journal in question and update as I go! :3 If you are not interested in a slot, but think my stuff is worth it I wouldn't mind a passing of word or a bump either.
