Regarding my status
Posted 8 years agoHey people,
If there are people that still follow my FA, I won't be posting as much as I am very busy right now and cannot find the time to draw. However, I'm still active in browsing here nonetheless.

My commissions are open!
Posted 9 years agoYo folks,
I'm a new artist entering the art scene. Commissions are now finally open, I look forward to this experience drawing for people.
If you you want to see the prices of what I offer, go to the following link.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....i_UOJz86foP8bQ
Since I am new to this art scene, I don't know how much my art is worth. This is an educated guess from myself and information I got from someone who commissions a fair bit of people. Basically, the prices are potentially negotiable at the moment.
Also if you don't see an option you'd like, feel free to ask me for a quote.
Please read my terms of service before paying. https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....HDE6A6MJdhCMIE
Contact me if you have any questions through any of the following.
FA noting, Steam, Skype, Discord.
E-Mail is not a good medium for you to contact me with.
If you have any questions, I prefer you to comment below so other people who might have similar questions can read it. If you prefer privately, then please message me.

Tracing and referencing? Is it bad?
Posted 9 years agoThis little topic has been bugging me for awhile.
When is it tracing, and when is it referencing in context of digital drawn art?
Like, there's a line where art becomes art theft/bad?
Let's make it clear, if you're actually copying or tracing someone's work, they can take legal action because it's plagiarism.
But anyways, I believe referencing is an okay thing to do, and also tracing to an extent which I'll explain below.
Take for example, this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNHqnDVzm9M
While he isn't talking about my topic, he begins the video by tracing a stock photograph. However, he adds some of his own content on top of it. It's much like YouTube videos how people are allowed to take another's work and do something that typically falls under "transformative". You still use the material of another, but you've changed the entire meaning so that it is now different. I might be dodgy when it comes to legality, but I believe it's something similar here.
There are other praised artists out there such as Vincent van Gogh who did the following painting: http://i.imgur.com/zeVQKrg.jpg
While this is his own work, this falls more under tracing. Would this be bad? He's not entirely ripping off anyone, I guess most would call into question of his artistic merit. I think it's an okay thing to do, it's his own photograph and drawing, and he has a certain art style he changed the photograph into.
To be honest, I'll come clean, I took photographs of my own hand and traced it for some of my artworks as seen here: http://i.imgur.com/DVEhaO6.png
Source picture (NSFW): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16223985/
I don't think doing this makes you a bad artist.
But what does is if you just traced and add nothing to the picture. You should probably be /honest/ and credit the source art though. Honesty is keyword here.
Referencing in my opinion also helps you build an art library in your mind, developing your art skills so that eventually you'll one day not need to use references.
What do you guys think? >.>; I feel like I'm going to get crucified for this.

Dragon Science
Posted 9 years agoI've been interested in this topic lately when it comes to debating "if dragons existed".
For this breakdown, I'm going to be talking about flight, fire breath and their physiology.
Also, I can be wrong, please point it out if I am!!!
First off, there are no cold blooded organisms that are capable of flight like birds, mammals or even bats which rules out dragons being cold blooded!
To explain this more, the metabolism of a warm blooded organism has more energy to fly than a cold blooded organism. You want to lift a ton? That's unlikely, because the amount of energy you need to expend would probably make your blood boil.
According to James Hinds, an organism weighing around 200 kg and under is capable of flight given the wingspan is 10 meters, meaning my fursona can fly being at 170 kg.
But to give more perspective on this, using the laws of motion of forces having equal and opposite force exerting on a body.
We can deduce that 2 litre bottled water weighs about 2 kg. My wings would have to lift up to 100 2 litre bottles of water, giving me lift of 30 Newtons, given my force is constant. If I wanted to hover, I can just lift 85 2 litre bottles of water.
Question now is: Can dragon bones withstand that weight? Of course they can. A human bone can support 8,626 kg of weight. What's to say a dragon can't?
This is a pretty hard to prove that they can. The first two gasses that comes to mind for flammable gas is hydrogen and methane gas. Animals and humans can produce methane gas, so it's likely that dragons use methane gas which basically narrows our gasses down to methane.
There's a problem. Methane gas does not burn without an ignition. So, how do dragons ignite their methane?
People may argue that dragons put rocks and flints or some mineral in their maw as one answer or that they have an inbuilt iron and flint. However, no creature on earth naturally grows an iron and flint in their mouth, it has to be put there artificially.
Someone else might also argue that they have a chemical that when combined with the flammable gas that ignites it. The problem is that if a dragon dies and decays, there's a chance they may explode from the chemicals mixing together as they die. That just sounds silly. Adding onto that, injuries to the fire breathing organs could cause an explosion.
According to a source, I've discovered an ultrasonic sound can be a source of ignition which makes it the most plausible way of igniting the methane gas! Ultrasonic sounds are vibrations of ultrasonic frequencies that are a capable ignition source.
I'd say it is pretty plausible given three different ways one could ignite the methane gas.
It also helps the fact that you can't hear ultrasonic frequencies as humans.
Other sources of ignition such as electricity or static electricity sounds far too implausible personally.
Well, dragons. This might be the hardest topic to cover. There are no vertebrae recorded that has a frame of 6 limbs. A pair of legs, another pair of legs or pair of arms and a pair of wings. No mammal or avian or reptile can have 6 limbs.
But wyverns, by definition of some people are 4 limbed dragons can possibly exist. Take for instance, a bat.
Sadly, 6 limbed vertebrates do not exist, they are tetrapods and can only have 4 limbs. Basically, dragons are not possible in the realms of organisms that exist on Earth if we were to categorize them as reptiles, avians or mammals. They're most certainly not arthropods.

Curious about my watchers!
Posted 9 years agoI'm actually very curious actually, what makes you kind folks watch me in the first place? I'd like to know. I just want to gauge what kind of audience I have.
I could probably have pretty silent or shy ones which will probably make this journal entry pretty hard to gauge anything if I get any response.

2016 Ramblings & Status & Me
Posted 10 years agoMy Art Page & Experience:
Yeah, it's 2016. My first artwork here was a year ago. I haven't been very productive in regards to this account. I'm afraid I have to say it's not going to change. I just get too busy.
Although, every now and then, I will post stuff here. I've learnt many things using this account to draw artwork, taking requests and even learning a bit of piano. Yay, I can play two hands now.
Personal:
Well, 2015 has been pretty rough for me with the stress from classes and things related to it as well as my social side of things. I've gotten new friends, lost other friends. I guess people come and go.
I'm in a serious relationship now, happily. Although, because of it being serious, it's also quite stressful.
Although I've got new friends, I've not recently talked or really started conversations. Maybe I'm a bit too much of a workaholic.
General:
Let 2016 be even better than 2015.
Let's top 2015 with 2016.
Cheers for reading.

I don't understand 'Adoptables'
Posted 10 years agoIt's going to be a rant again but it has been on my mind.
I don't understand adoptables. I know what adoptables are but I don't understand why it exists to an extent.
I get it if an adoptable includes a reference sheet, a character sheet, badges, and basically a plethora of stuff related to the character or just a well designed one. I can understand if people want to buy those, those are awesome.
These adoptables I'm talking about are basically generic recolours that really... I don't see how can be copyrighted because it's so generic. I'm talking about things like this: http://i.imgur.com/twbop9P.png (I made this as an example. Don't give me 25$ over these things)
Half of the time, I can't even tell if any of these 'adoptables' are stolen because they're that generic.
Is it because people are bad at colour schemes? Then my question is: How unimaginative can you be not to think up of a colour scheme you like? How can one not look at real animals and their colour schemes? Don't even get me started on character doll stuff.
Then I might be told by someone: Settle down GD, these artists are offering a product that customers actually want to buy. They're not stealing or being forced to buy or give money. Why are you even complaining?
...well okay, you can buy what you want to buy, I guess, I'm not stopping you.
I mean correct me if I've made some oversights or misunderstanding. >.<
EDIT: XD, please don't kill me, adoptables artists.
EDIT EDIT: again, please, sorry if I came off vitriolic, don't attack me, just keep things civil

Oh My Colours - REVELATION!!!
Posted 10 years agoOh my colours.
I've been shading all wrong. Thanks to the kind people who criticized my art and watched and favourited, I have ... discovered a flaw in the way I draw! I shall work hard to drawing better.
I've been shading with black the entire time unknowingly that it looks terrible! Argh! How can I be so... well, this is only a hobby. XD I'm so greatful to submerge myself in a community of artists.
Thank you all for appreciating my work. It's just like a stunning revelation I had to write a journal about it.

I don't know why I even wrote a journal just basically for this - I guess I just want other people to experience this game.

Regarding "families" on FurAffinity profiles
Posted 10 years agoWell, this is going to be a rant. Call me a nerd or a freak but I actually Googled around to understand this topic. There wasn't really any, I guess I'm paranoid?
The topic is basically: Mothers, Fathers, Big Sister etc. Not actual ones, I mean the ones you put on your profile with the icon linking to another FurAffinity account. Those kinds.
But I'm drawing a line here. If the stuff is just play-pretend. I'm like, eh, go for it - but I'm talking the type those who actually, mentally, literally consider that person to their mother and father. I find this quite ... unnerving and scary.
Let's start off with my culture side of things, probably the weakest part in my opinion but here it is: I find it pretty disrespectful to your family, at least assuming these types actually put blood and sweat into raising you, physically, there, in real life. It's probably just me but it's the culture I was raised in to be pretty respectful.
I do draw the line somewhere here though. I'd say, it's the parent's responsibility to raise a child properly and not abuse them in any way - and in turn, the proper respect is given back. That's all said and good.
~~~
My second point on why this is scary is: There was one time I actually met a person who did this family thing and took it seriously. The thing that scares me when talking to this individual is the lack of spine and individual thought they had. They talked about this 'mother' being caring and supportive and everything much like a mother would treat the person. That sounds great, right? No.
Like an overprotective parent they have, or an irresponsible one, they have no spine from the 'sheltering'. They talk like "I wouldn't know what to do without them", or "I always rely on them if I'm lost.", or things like "They're always by my side to help me decide things". This, I find is extremely unhealthy.
It seems extremely bad for the mental development! I mean, it stops being fun when it goes beyond play pretend. Like even, how do I even tell them this? They're too reliant on this individual, the moment they vanish, they'll probably be a chair that just lost one of its legs.
I worry about these people. -sighs deeply- Maybe I shouldn't. It's the internet after all, at least I can ramble.
Tell me if I'm wrong or anything by the way.
P.S. Free art request, first come first serve, I'll see if I can do your request~ See my profile.
I might expand it to 3 slots - forgive me, I'm still new to this art stuff. I'm scared to actually post this on my journal because the number of slots and the potential unfairness argument. It's an experiment, you know? I can't please everyone. I've seen why people do raffles, like I said, I'm experimenting.
If nobody requests, yay, more time to game. XDDD - but I enjoy drawing too. FULL!
Konami! Not in the Yu-Gi-Ohs! XD
Posted 10 years agoRamble alert!
I thought about not writing about the Konami drama, because you know, you get people from all spectrums like: It's their business, they've been making pachinko machines to fund their games or stuff like: Oh yeah, they've been done before, what makes Konami different? I guess if you simplify it like that, I guess it's not significant. But, you know? P.T. and stuff! Blah! How is P.T. not significant?
It's just that they made a Silent Hill slot machine over Silent Hills. They made a Castlevania Erotic Violence Slot Machine for some damn reason.
With Metal Gear Solid 5 - Phantom Pain out, it's getting great reviews and I'm glad. Don't boycott the game, it doesn't deserve it, even though Konami would be raking in the cash. I can't not just shrug it off.
Yeah, I guess Japan has a gambling problem for the company to shift their gears to a more lucrative market. I understand the appeal, but it's just, I felt like Konami spat in my face. I mean not myself, I know it's not a personal attack, but to every other gamers out there.
With Nintendo's YouTube policy around the corner, the EA being the worst company and stuff and Capcom just killing Mega Man, I just refuse to believe that all good things come to an end.
Please, don't make a Metal Gear Solid Slot machine. I hold many of their franchises close to me, Metal Gear Solid is one of them. Don't make it into an endless runner.
Lol...
Anyways. I'm not down, I just don't let it affect me to badly, I've accepted what happened.
Yay for Hideo Kojima quote!
As for journal about me, ah I've been pretty busy at college lately, it's my final year. Good grief is it hard.
I'm doing fine though, I'm glad I got my reference art over and done with.
My poor friends didn't like me spending so much time drawing and not a lot of time talking to them. But now I'm like, I want to do animations, personal games and music. It's hard having a lot of friends, I'm so content with a handful right now - but I'm happy to have more and talk, I just don't want to seem rude!
You might also noticed my profile "ART QUEUE" has a bunch of planned things. They won't be for awhile but they're in consideration at the very most.
Also on a side note, I'm a programmer for this game currently! You may probably see it at PAX Australia this year eventually! Looking forward to it. I can't wait to eventually make a few personal projects of my own.
... and, lately I've been very addicted to Warframe. Dx! I have so many games to play.
On the other side of things, there are a bunch of things I want to share to you readers out there who like reading my journals! You know? Entertainment recommendations I guess..? XD Maybe you don't know but THAT'S ASIDES THE POINT!
YouTube Channels - recommended videos! I mean, feel free if you're bored. xP
Super Bunnyhop - His reviews can be weak but his other content are much stronger and very insightful.
Gnoggin - An A-Okay channel, it's not THAT great, but yeah.
TL;DR - A channel about common sense applied put others under scrutiny. Excellent for white noise while you do something!
ADoseofBuckley - Similar to above, but more sarcastic.
YourMovieSucksDOTorg - A furry film reviewer that is surprisingly more deeper than majority of other reviews film on YouTube.
MisterMetokur - If you like feasting on some drama n' stuff, fun channel to go to.
Yuriofwind - Awkwardly funny at times, rips aparts creepypastas and looks into mysterious stuff about video games.
PettyPranks - Pranking scammers can be pretty funny.
ExtraCredits - I think most of the design club episodes are the strongest. Channel talks about the bigger picture of games. The other episodes outside of design club can be quite flimsy in terms of arguments, but still worth a watch and debate. It's basically debate on what works better for games if you want to get that far.
And if you didn't know this existed:
Aersia VIP - A large online playlist of various video game music! Very awesome stuff.
If you folks have questions to ask me, ask me in this journal! Ask me anything, I feel like people are afraid to. I'm not scary. Maybe.
I thought about not writing about the Konami drama, because you know, you get people from all spectrums like: It's their business, they've been making pachinko machines to fund their games or stuff like: Oh yeah, they've been done before, what makes Konami different? I guess if you simplify it like that, I guess it's not significant. But, you know? P.T. and stuff! Blah! How is P.T. not significant?
It's just that they made a Silent Hill slot machine over Silent Hills. They made a Castlevania Erotic Violence Slot Machine for some damn reason.
With Metal Gear Solid 5 - Phantom Pain out, it's getting great reviews and I'm glad. Don't boycott the game, it doesn't deserve it, even though Konami would be raking in the cash. I can't not just shrug it off.
Yeah, I guess Japan has a gambling problem for the company to shift their gears to a more lucrative market. I understand the appeal, but it's just, I felt like Konami spat in my face. I mean not myself, I know it's not a personal attack, but to every other gamers out there.
With Nintendo's YouTube policy around the corner, the EA being the worst company and stuff and Capcom just killing Mega Man, I just refuse to believe that all good things come to an end.
Please, don't make a Metal Gear Solid Slot machine. I hold many of their franchises close to me, Metal Gear Solid is one of them. Don't make it into an endless runner.
Lol...
Anyways. I'm not down, I just don't let it affect me to badly, I've accepted what happened.
Death of a video gaming era? Or is it not?
Posted 10 years agoI might just be anxious or having a conspiratorial thoughts but I feel like an era of video gaming has ended, gaming has well, trying not to sound so pretentious: evolved and moved forward to what it is now. Please don't take any of these as pure fact. In fact, put me under scrutiny, see if what I say does hold out.
Let's start with the consumers.
People despise innovation. Well, hear me out. If you give a survey to people polling if people prefer innovation in games or not, it's obvious innovation would be the most voted option. However, their wallet speaks otherwise.
You may also seen Game Theory's take on this matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxhs-GLE29Q
Now if I stopped here, I wouldn't have added very much.
The video game developers of back then is starting to become irrelevant.
I enjoy the hell out of MegaMan, but I feel like gamers today don't want to play MegaMan anymore. You might go: HEY ! WHAT ABOUT MIGHTY NO 9? Well, despite the stupid controversy, let's look at the game and the Kickstarter. I know, it's one of the most funded games but the number of backers makes me question this. It makes me question all the games on kickstarter. The number of backers is what I question.
67,226 backers... $3,845,170
Now let's compare this to Starbound
208,182 backers... $4,189,126
Let's look at Bloodstained (Spiritual Successor to Castlevania)
64,867 backers... $5,545,991
The first and last games were game genres of the old kinds, the ones already established. Starbound however, is a recent game. Is it related to this figure?
Are gamers these days just wanting games like Starbound, Terraria and Minecraft?
I don't necessarily know but I feel like there's more to it than just comparing the $$$ figures. Are the backers of the older games just die hard fans?
Now with backers out of the way. I'm not a professional developer myself but I feel like I know enough to say game development is really high maintenance and costly. If companies are not making money with these old developers, it's likely they won't listen to their demands or ideals and such.
Keiji Inafune has left Capcom after they refused to restructure to his demands. I mean, god knows what happened to MegaMan Legends and MegaMan sales.
What does this say about Igarashi Koji (Castlevania)? He left Konami. Is it because he's not making anymore money to them? I suppose he left to persue is dream to make games with more freedom but I'm still sketchy if he's still relevant. I am a massive fan of the Castlevania series and I can only guess.
And what happened to Hideo Kojima? His Metal Gear Solid work is insanely awesome. PT was awesome, took the world by storm. But even then, the Playstation version of Minecraft sold more than Metal Gear Solid.
I know Rareware is old news.
I mean I guess who cares about Contra as well, right?
I've tried introducing my cousins and stuff to these old games, they rather play Roblox and Minecraft.
I mean, the sales chart tells me all these old game developers are fading. It breaks my damn heart. There are games that capture retro games like Shovel Knight, The Binding of Isaac and Retro City Rampage, but these are new developers, and these are pretty indie compared to the older developers.
I hope what I say is wrong. I doubt any young gamers would care any of the half of the games I talked about fading away.
Maybe I'm freaking out again. XD
Well either way, it's nice to embrace the ever growing video gaming medium.
Standards too high?
Posted 10 years agoOh boy. I don't know how I should say this but I'll try my best.
I've never exactly felt bad that my art isn't as good as X or Y because I'm my own style, you know?
So I draw a few stuff and eventually I draw something like this and I feel like I set my own art page standards really high. Now I feel under pressure to top it - I doubt I can. I don't know if other artists feel this way, maybe you folks can give me a word of advice?
I mean yeah, I guess I should put out some quality art but the pressure is really high for me now!
I have doubts I can draw something as good as I did again. It's only a hobby though I guess, I should just draw what I like maybe? But, since I have watchers, it's like, I'm turning my page way too professional, I don't want to let my watchers down. Maybe I should chill out instead and put out art because I enjoy drawing and drawing for people. (Maybe I should do some freebies eventually when I have time instead of making it exclusive to friends)
On a side note, I also did an interesting response to someone's journal here. I hope that's some food for thought.
Here's a SILLY video game quote this time: http://i.imgur.com/UfWkPmc.jpg
I gotta settle down, maybe I'm too anxious. xD
Rusty & Responsibilities
Posted 10 years agoOh man, I know I haven't posted anything in ages but this journal entry is basically to say this account is not inactive. Though, I may reduce myself to a watcher here on FA. Maybe I have too many things to do.
I have one more exam left 2 days from now, after that I should be free. Free as in free to do more programming, maybe a bit of gaming and art and spending time with friends. It has sucked up my life.
I've already started working on some personal art between the times and discovered how rusty I was.
I'm not sure if I should do commissions let alone free art. I'm too scared to. I don't know, maybe anyone out there has some advice for me?
I mean, I can draw, I have a lot of responsibilities, now I'm a bit rusty, maybe I should give myself time.
In other news, I saw a lot of nifty games I can't wait to try like:
The Witcher 3, apparently counts as indie!
Doom 4, apparently has the guy who did Crytek engine, so I'm expecting fancy graphics.
As usual, a quote about video games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERaaBLCqXW0
Maybe not so much a quote but yeah, inspiring words, perhaps one day, one can make a video game that can at least draw someone in like that.
P.S. I hope this is what journals are for on FA. x3
Howdy folks, I'm in back for another journal to talk about - random stuff surprisingly! Well, my status.
Elated to try Mortal Kombat X and I DID! my thoughts? It's fun, the gore is ridiculous but I'm desensitized, the story, I tried it a little. Quick time events are silly~
Looking at the controversy over the easy fatalities and stuff? I don't see a big deal out of it. It doesn't need to be in a triple A game? Well, in my opinion - the option is there, if nobody buys it, they'd probably drop that tactic. There's no business there. They're not forcing you to buy it and the way you perform fatalities is free.
Probably people are now going to say: Well it's greedy. Well, you may have a valid point but it's nothing we can argue about because we can't be conclusive either way - lacking proof both sides unless you consider anything like in game purchases proof then I guess it's one valid way to see it.
Mercifully, I shall spare you the rant about Mortal Kombat X. Haha, my status being elated to try Mortal Kombat X, so silly of me.
Enticing enough to talk about Mortal Kombat X, I shall move onto miscellaneous things!
Pretty much what you're expecting next.
Lame? You think game designer quotes are lame!? I'll be honest, I get them from a source, I didn't make them up. Here's proof: http://i.imgur.com/6uX201i.png
Eh, they can be but...
Ah what the heck?
So, a quote from Kojima Hideo! (He's behind Metal Gear Solid): Games are a study about people. http://i.imgur.com/RxGwXDN.png
Enough of that right? NO! Well maybe. Stay safe everyone, take care!
11:33 PM 21/04/2015 (It's DD/MM/YYYY and uh, >roBSvefgyrggre - I'll probably edit this journal for awhile, I don't want to fill up people's watch space! Probably stop at 3 entries, because it gets too long)
[Activity]
I made this account back in 2011, it's only now starting to be much more active. I thought an account like this with not much activity would be removed but hey, it's active-ish now.
Abhorrently inactive I was, I'm still quite busy but I can do some art on the side. Busy with study and all, I think you folks know and understand that. Apologies to all my watchers.
Meh, anyways, I recently tried animating with flash for the first time and it wasn't that hard at all! Though I fiddled with it, I finally got a basic animation without that gif quality drop. I avoided that by exporting a gif using the png sequence generated by flash.
So, about commissions, right now I don't take commissions. I'm new to FA, I don't feel confident in my works to do commissions and I'm bad at handling money and stuff you know? And with all the time I have, it's quite difficult to put more on my plate right now. But with some spare time, I may draw randomly for friends with some gift art but yeah, but they're mostly quick to make. Hopefully that's understandable.
And a note to end on: A quote from Igarashi Koji (Guy behind Castlevania)
Games are like baths, without them, we would get sick.
Definitely an awesome quote! At least I think so. Hahaha!
Over Simplification? Why?
Well, this is a rant for fun, I haven't really anything to do so here's a rant if you're interested.
Lately I've been on Guild Wars 2, like usual but anyways, I was in PvP lobby and I wasn't talking, I was just observing and I'm starting to see a pattern I really despise.
Oversimplification. Let me elaborate.
A player goes and asks ... how do I play X?
The response: Easy! Press A repeatedly and win!
Literally, 80% of all responses are this. Why? Does this make you smart? It's not even necessarily true. This is when I broke my silence, I decided to question this guy. I ask him: oh, can you elaborate? - to paraphrase. His response? "You press X when ... Y happens. Make sure when Z is ready." to paraphrase.
Completely, it's not simple anymore.
Then it hit me, it is not the respondent that are being idiots simplifying things, it's the player asking the question. It's too general.
So, the moral of the story, if you're going to ask questions in PvP, be prepared to make a specific question so that players can answer it sufficiently.
However, my point still stands about people oversimplifying things. It can still happen if you ask specific questions.
I mean.. I think it's a given, right? What a sub par journal. :(
