I will be in Pittsburgh at the Westin Hotel from Wednesday July 2nd - Monday July 7th. You can pick up your badge on any of these days.If you have a Twitter account, please do the following:
► Follow my account by clicking here. I will follow you back so that we can DM one another.
► Throughout the convention I will be tweeting whenever I am in The Zoo (Allegheny Grand Ballroom). This is the best way to see where I am. When I am in The Zoo I will be relaxing and drawing. This is the best time to approach me to successfully retrieve your badge!
Non-Twitter Users, please do the following:
► If you see me roaming around the convention, even in-suit, just approach me and tell me your name. I will be carrying the badges with me until they are all picked up. (Consequently, if you see VAIN_Vurxof and he's not with me for some ungodly reason, ask him where I am and he can retrieve me for you!)
► If you prefer e-mail correspondence or FA notes instead of Twitter, please note me or comment on this journal telling me so. (I know I had this as an option on the form but I derped and deleted some old responses to make room for new ones. Sorry for the inconvenience!)
If we fail to get together and deliver your badge:
► If for some reason we cannot meet up and I do not successfully deliver your badge to you, I will mail it to you after the convention at no extra charge.

► I will have my lamination machine and art supplies with me. However I will not be selling badges. I will only be doing trades, whether it be for other art or little trinkets from the Dealer's Den, such as stickers, phone charms, keychains, etc. Don't be afraid to approach me and ask! ANTHROCON BADGES! Commissions announcement!

I am VERY CLOSE to clearing my backlog ENTIRELY which was my goal for awhile. I am ditching the old rolling slots system and going back to the good ole' system of taking batches of 10 slots at a time. This will ensure that commissions get done much MUCH faster and I can take commissions on a more regular basis.
I should hopefully be done with my backlog tomorrow or Wednesday. Once it's done, be on the lookout for a GIGANTIC, SUPER DUPER BADGE SALE!
Badges will have a one time only special price especially for those that are attending Anthrocon. (Don't worry, if you're not attending the convention, you can still enjoy the sweet deals!)
So keep an eye out for that! Just a heads up!
(Also during this time you can of course commission other things from what I usually offer, however badges will be the spotlight!)

Back to Work & Thank You All

Finally back home and got my laptop up after 5 days of being away. The last 5 days were insanely depressing and stressful, especially for
VAIN_Vurxof obviously.We are still sad and dealing with the loss. I didn't have the time to thank everyone individually for their condolences, so thank you all so very much. Vain and I are insanely grateful for your love, support and understanding through this time.
I am getting all my stuff back up on my computer and going through my lists of to-do. This set me back a ton and I will be working hard to get everything to everyone in a timely manner.

Sad News [Commissioners Please Read]

It is with a heavy heart that I write this journal. Yesterday while we were both working, VAIN_Vurxof got a phone call saying his grandfather was on life support in the hospital. Long story short, as we were in the car ready to rush down, he passed away.
I met Vain's grandfather once, and he was very sweet and kind. I am lucky to have met him.
We came back down to Vain's hometown, about 5 hours away, to tend to his family and be here for the funeral.
While I did bring my laptop and tablet along, I do not think I can devote too much time to commissions until we are back home. Probably early next week.
Thank you for your understanding, please keep Vain and his family in your heart and thoughts.

I wanted to think of some different commissions I can offer that would be easier on me, while offering more to my customers (with this upcoming job and all!)
I am not sure why I wasn't offering these before, but I decided I would offer sketch pages!
Sketch pages will be $30 and include:
- 1 full body sketch, lightly colored and shaded.
- 3 headshot sketches, lightly shaded.
You are essentially getting 4 sketches for the price of 3!
The sketch pages can be any mix of characters. It can be all of the same character, or of 4 separate ones, etc etc!
I just wanted to sort of "announce" them and gauge interest. I've had some people on Twitter interested, so I will probably go ahead and do them! :3
They will be open probably this week!

Posted 11 years agoHi everyone! I have some exciting news!
I recently got hired to work with a publishing company doing various things - my first project is designing and illustrating a book cover!
I can't give too many details, such as what company it is and what I am doing specifically (as I have not received my contract yet) but I am VERY excited as illustrating books is something I always have wanted to do!
What does this mean for commissions?
I will be finishing this current backlog and still take commissions, however take less at a time. I also will probably offer more YCH auctions as opposed to normal commissions, as that will be a bit easier to manage while doing this other work.
I don't anticipate my current backlog moving too much slower than it is currently. However, in case it does, you know why!
This is a huge opportunity and if this goes well, as well as the other project they have for me, this can become a pretty concrete stream of working doing illustration and book design.
I was just very excited, and wanted to share with all of you!

I will be finishing this current backlog and still take commissions, however take less at a time. I also will probably offer more YCH auctions as opposed to normal commissions, as that will be a bit easier to manage while doing this other work.
I don't anticipate my current backlog moving too much slower than it is currently. However, in case it does, you know why!
This is a huge opportunity and if this goes well, as well as the other project they have for me, this can become a pretty concrete stream of working doing illustration and book design.

Many artists have been creating Patreons lately, which are essentially programs to donate monthly to them so they can create more free art and expand on their businesses! http://www.patreon.com/
I wanted to set something up, but I feel like I have so little to offer. My question to you guys is - if you were a Patreon to my art, what kind of gifts/prizes would you want to receive?
Some ideas so far:
- Entry to a monthly full body badge raffle
- Exclusive entry to a monthly art livestream
- Quarterly Seasonal Icons
- Previews to upcoming YCHs
- Previews to upcoming personal works
(^ Not sure of what tier any of these would go under, they're just ideas.)

I only ever post about being ill when it effects my commissions, and in this case it is - very much so! x(
On Wednesday I was getting what I thought was allergies (normal for me), it did not turn into something much worse until this past Saturday. I spent all day yesterday in bed resting and today there is no improvement. :(
If you have submitted a commission form to me over the weekend, it will be reviewed and responded to tomorrow!
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding!
