Cameo Contest!
Posted 15 years agoWell as promised I wanted to start things with some fun and reward those people who have been here since our beginnings.
Basically if we ever need someone in the background it would be nice to have a collection of characters to choose from. Who better to put in than those of you who are loyal followers of the comic? This time I'd like to open up three spots. With only a handful of watchers at the moment I think those are pretty good odds. In fact, I'm picking one, Imp will be picking one, and I'll try to get Kavi to pick the other. Because everyone knows if it was all left to me I'd probably pick 3 dragons :P
If you would like to enter we first ask that you be Watching the comic, since we want to use stuff like this to reward the people who keep up on a weekly basis. If you aren't already watching then that is fine as long as your watching the comic when you enter the contest.
Then just comment to this journal with a reference (picture reference preferred) and tell us what you think of the comic so far. If you have any ideas or questions please feel free to mention those as well.

Posted 15 years agoHello everyone, I go by Empty Shadow but you can just call me Shadow for short. I'm one of three people that make this possible, and one of the two that dictate plot.
First I would like to thank you for checking us out. On behalf of everyone included in this project I would like to let you know your support is appreciated and your comments will be read.
This comic is going to be unlike most comics you've ever followed. Imp and I do not have the next hundred pages figured out and would really like feedback and support from the people who enjoy the comic. We have ideas to get it started and a nice cast of characters to introduce as we go. The possibilities are endless.
As for contests there are a few different ideas. We could have a contest for logo design, offer cameos now and then, or even allow you to vote on character decisions every once in a while. If you have any ideas feel free to let us know!
Now for a slight history/background of how this comic has come into existence. Many many moons ago I would commission an artist that I adored. She had an style I fell in love with and so much talent to back it up. I commissioned a handful of things from her before she eventually cleared her accounts and disappeared from the fandom. She originally went by the name 'Curious Creature' but shortly before leaving opened the Milkbone account in which we give the style credit for. If you visit that account you'll see a sexy animation featuring Vitalis that she gave to me as a gift before leaving.
In recent history I met a very talented artist named Kavi. Kavi has this wonderful ability to not only draw in her own style, but also copy the style of other artists. So logically I gave it a shot, slowly commissioning the majority of my friends in Creature's forgotten style (you can check these out in the favs of this account, although I'll likely post them on this account here and there). Kavi from time to time offers 'lifetime' art deals where you buy something very expensive for her and in return she draws for you once a week indefinitely. So I saved up some coin and invested in this comic. So as long as I get the page explanation to Kavi in time, you'll get weekly pages.
As you may have noticed the title of the comic is in honor of Creature and I hope she is doing well somewhere. If you ever come across this I want you to know we miss you, and you are not forgotten.
