Who is my fursona?
My fursona is an anthro dragon called Drag.
How is your fursona similar to RL you?
We both enjoy video games, food and karate.
How is your fursona different to RL you?
Drag is almost the epitome of happiness, he's easily excited and wants to hug everything. Plus he doesn't have to worry about the responsibilities I have >o>
How long have you been a furry?
3 or 4 years?
How did you discover the fandom?
Oh boy, so I was trying to learn to draw, discovered the anthro section of DeviantArt, I thought anthro dragons looked bad ass and decided to draw my own. From there I discovered people who were in the fandom.
Do you own any furry related clothing/accessories? (fursuits/tails etc?)
I own a partial suit and a random dragon tail.
What's your favourite thing about the fandom?
I love the openess of people and their affection for hugs ^w^
Have you ever thought about leaving the fandom?
Nah, the fandom isn't really that much of a huge deal to me that I would leave it if something happened.
If you met your fursona in RL what would you do?
Give him a hug annnnnd probably not let go.

Quick Popularity, Quickly Forgotten?
General | Posted 11 years agoNot even a week and a fanbase with theories and fan art of some times questionable taste was formed for the recently
released Five Nights at Freddy's. It could be seen that its just another horror game for YouTubers to play if it wasn't for
the way the game was designed(Its not another Slenderman-clone). But like any other horror game it garnered a
fanbase, however, this one formed so quickly its intriguing.
Could it be pinned to the furry fandom creating fanart for the fox character? Is the horror game genre so over
saturated that people just go through the motions of creating a fanbase? Or does it actually deserve the poularity?
In my opinion is really sets itself apart from other budget horror games due to the mechanics and design, also the
rather ridiculous but effective back story. As for the fanbase, it'll definitely die down and may not stick around as long
compared to, let's say Slender Man because of the explosive form of popularity.
Also I played it and could only handle one night...

Rise of the Hardcore Shooter?
General | Posted 11 years agoCall of Duty and Battlefield pretty much dominate the modern FPS multiplayer world
and for good reason. Whoever lately it seems that is somewhat started to die down
a little bit. I don't know about you but I think there's a sudden interest in hardcore
shooters now. I'm talking about modern military hardcore shooters and also arena shooters.
Let's start with the obvious news. So incase you haven't heard, Epic, the developers of
the Gears of War series are developing a new Unreal Tournament specificaly for PC and also
former head of Epic Cliff Bleszinski has formed a new company to create his own arena
shooter. If that isn't a sign for a return to hardcore shooters then I don't know what it.
There's also the abundance of indie devs that have been creating more hardcore oriented
multiplayer games for those who remember the old Rainbow Six game such as Insurgency,
Due Process and Interstaller Marines.
This is an exciting time for me since I myself have been craving for a shooter that relied on
actual teamwork and tactics or fast reflexes and the power to rocket jump. The CoD's and
Battlefields have run thier course and the gamers of classic multiplayer experiences want
to see THIER games return.

Drag visiting Oz Comic Con
General | Posted 11 years agoI'll be at Oz Comic Con in Melbourne this Saturday and Drag will be coming along as well.
He might not be around for long though because Super Smash Bros., Hyrule Warriors and Evolve
will be playable there so I'll be hovering around those.
So if anyone is going to be there look out for the derpy black dragon ^w^

Just An Idea!
General | Posted 11 years agoSo while trying to get to sleep after checking out some comics on the interwebs, I randomly got the idea for a short story, furry comic. Fans of the furry fandom are/have transformed into their fursonas. Short stories will be explore this idea in comic form and the only constraint I would place(or maybe no) is the transformation has to affect the person's life in some way. But of course not all the short stories have to be like that.
I have thought up a story already that is inspired by a Batman The Animated Series episode called "Perchance to Dream". It's a "what if" story of what if Bruce Wayne's parents didn't die and everything for Bruce was great. For my story, it will be a teen waking up and discovering that he is furless and back to normal, he's happy to see his parents and things seem good. However, the furry fandom does not exist and his furry friends don't know him. Then he wakes up in a alleyway, where he actually lives, with his fur back.
It's just an idea I had *shrugs*

Should Horror Movies Forget CGI?
General | Posted 11 years agoTom Carpenter's "The Thing" is an amazing example of the life-like quality practical
effects can produce. As well as hiring people who know the ins-and-outs of practical
use, also editing and smart camera angles, practical effects are extremely convincing.
Makes me laugh a little when big budget movies insist on continuing to use CGI that
nowadays is far too obvious.
But should horror movies forget CGI all together? Well no... as much as we like to berate
CGI for its overuse, that's the film maker's fault. CGI should only be use for those
impossible effects that can not be made by hand. For horror movie, we've been so used to
CGI now that its not scary(highly doubt it was acary in the first place). I'd say its time for a
come back.

Art Course Accepted
General | Posted 12 years agoI was accepted for an art course! Certificate IV of Design I am going to be learning.
However, since I live pretty far from where the TAFE I was accepted I was advised
to find another TAFE that is closer and ask for an irregular offer. Now there is a
TAFE that is closer to me but I've got some phone calling and emailing to do. I hope
I can get enrolled into the closer TAFE and take the course. If i was accepted at a
city campus I should be accepted at a country campus.
Anyways I am to have taken the next step.

My Day at Confurgence
General | Posted 12 years agoIncoming wall of text!
So first off i spent about 10 minutes trying to find the convention. A lady gave me directions and it was in a corner pretty far into the convention centre. It didn't take long for a friend to see me and I got suited up. With another dragon called Kimbo we went outside for fresh air(ciggy for friend :P), there was a Disney on Ice show on in the convention centre as well so there were lotsa kids, so we were out there for a good hour interacting with the kids. However, Uncle Kage, who I didn't know was even at the con decided to come watch. I was having a fanboy moment XP
The fursuit parade was shorter than I thought it would be but it was still cool. I bought a couple of things from the dealers den. A bookmark with a xenomorph on it because I needed a proper bookmark and I also bought a couple of comics called Killeroo, it is as silly as it sounds.
Saw CynWolfes variety show then went to the train station, which was a bad idea because I went too early so i had to wait a couple of hours. Could've watch Uncle Kage's show. -_-
Overall I had more than I did at MidFur and I would I got my ticket's worth of fun. Looking forward to going next year, hopefully for 3 days.

Alien: Isolation
General | Posted 12 years agooh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my godoh my godoh my godoh my godoh my godoh my godoh my god
*ahem* So you're there's a survival, almost Amnesia-like game coming out based on the first Alien movie.
The trailer looks so good but since the absolute bombing of Aliens: Colonial Marines I am extremely skeptical
although the Alien fanboy in me wants to play it NOW!
But... ah yes, but... Apparently Ripley's daughter Amanda is searching for the Nostromo. The ship was blown up
at the end of the movie. However there is footage of the ship, WHAT!
Anyways I hope the is at least better than Colonial Marines and does the license justice.

Remember to Look After Yourself
General | Posted 12 years agoFor nearly a week now I've felt pretty ill and tired. I've been going to bed around 1am
almost every night. I wake up feeling groggy and with a cold. Ever since I finished
school I've just neglected my health and it doesn't help that I've been off some karate
sessions due to small events.
But I've got a national karate tournament coming up in Sydney soon, I'd rather to feel
fit and ready for it. I may have to start jogging now because the only reason why I was
semi-fit was because I walked to school everyday. But before that I must start going to bed
earlier and get some sleep.

Pursue It?
General | Posted 12 years agoSo today I got a message on my YouTube account from a game developer who funding his game
through Kickstarter. The dev wants me to do a video on his game which is early alpha while the
Kickstarter campaign is still on.
This is making me wonder whether I should pursue the hobby of game reviewing and created
YouTube videos. It sure would be a great thing to do since I love gaming so much and I believe
I have good knowledge of games and gaming.
For all I know this could just be a once thing but I've made other review and enjoyed it so this
could be something I could pursue and maybe something or nothing will come out of it.
Oh and I have 1 exam left till i'm done with high school for good.
