Anybody here like watching UFC or enjoys martial arts?

Start school tomorrow, I am not excited one bit, considering I haven't finished all my homework.
Though, athletics is coming up and everyone loves dressing up for it so a certain dragon will
appear ;)
On the drawing side, after drawing two good drawings, I kinda feel a bit more motivated to
actually draw a bit but we'll see.

I only have 4 days left of holidays. I didn't do much besides from gaming and converting a friend into a
furry... nearly >:3

I still have a drawing to finish, which only needs to be shaded. Its turning out better than I thought it
would.

This Saturday I am going to Melbourne for a karate tournament, I hope to do well in this one.

Got a couple of hard bits of homework to compete, or at least nearly finish. One is a evaluation of a
advertisement I changed for VisCom class. The other is a plan for a short film I need to make for Media
class. I want to make a martial art film inspired by Jackie Chan, though I'm having trouble thinking up a
story(there needs to be a reason for the fighting).


So what have other peoples been up to?

I don't know how many people even care about looking at my journals but we'll see.
How would you describe my fursona Drag? What does he look like? What's his
personality?

I ask because while I am drawing him right now, I randomly wondered what people
thought of him. I know people say he's cute but is there anything else? Or is that it?

So the holidays are coming up a couple of days. I finish on Wednesday which is pretty cool.
Not looking forward to doing a bunch of holiday though, that is definitely not cool. But the
thing that is annoying me is that I haven't drawn a thing since my last drawing, which I
uploaded a month ago. Now that is not good at all, why? It means I have to learn how to
draw again and having the knowledge that I could, some what, draw before will really irk me.

Well lets just see if I will attempt to at least put a pencil on paper.

Watched Kill Bill yesterday, man was it one "bloody" movie. I can definitely see the influence
from anime in it. Just the way the story is and how violent it is as well. Makes me want to
watch Cowboy Bebop and Dragon Ball Z and Akira. Well after watching Kill Bill I had a tinkle
of inspiration and motivation in me to draw something. Obviously that will be crushed by the
need to finish homework but at least I have some hope... of drawing... again?

So on Saturday I went to the Moomba Festival in Melbourne. I went with a furry friend,
we both braved the heat and brought our fursuits along. We were kind of popular, like
we had children come up to us, we did some high fives and posed for photos. The people
that handle the carnival games also wanted us to play the games as well. We only
fursuited for a hour because it was so hot but I really enjoyed it. Seeing all the happy
faces on the kids, it could makes a grown dragon cry :")

After that we went on some rides, intense rides, rides that spin around at very fast speeds
that made me feel sick after the second one but I manned up and ignored my body.
Didn't even throw up ^w^

Brother showed me a kickstarter for a how to draw book. It looks faboulas and
its geared towards furries/anthros. Definitely something I'd use.

I want to draw all my friend's sonas as chibis, with cute little weapons,
on a hill getting ready to charge. If you would like to be in the picture

I think I had my first nightmare o_o
In my nightmare (I hope I was sleeping and not hallucinating) I was sleeping exactly where I was,
in bed, lying upwards. I heard a voice which was probably my dad's since he stays up till 7:00 for
businesses purposes, I saw something movie across the ground and then suddenly a facehugger
from Alien leaps at me, I wake up (still not sure if I was asleep), yell and turn on my lamp in a
matter of seconds. I was very warm and couldn't really comprehend what was going on. It was
5 in the morning.

So yeah, never had this happen to me before. The only reason I can think of is stress.

Hello people who read my journals, i've been away for a little bit, this is whats been up.
So school has become more challenging and demanding, but the cool thing about year
12 is free periods and this year it seem they've been more generous with them, though,
since I have less time at school that means i get more homework. During the week its
been constant VisCom homework and other stuff. Week 3 and i'm already getting ready
to do a test. So yeah i've kinda been busy.

I got a subscription to gym, my parents were phoned up about a deal and they asked if
I wanted to go to the gym. Seeing that i'm quite the lazy fellow and i want to get better
at karate as well, I thought this was the time to finally join one. Apparently I might be
working with a personal trainer. Hopefully it'll improve my health, motivate me and help
get me into bed sooner and wake up ready to go.

Artwise i've got one drawing that needs to be finished and i'm planning on doing one for
my brother's birthday. I've still got ideas and the comic in my head so those haven't
disappeared.

Got a school shirt with the name "Drag" on the back. Hehe people are going to be so confused :P

Well now that I can see all the mature art on FA, it got me thinking about the people that despise yiff.
While I do agree with them, it sometimes sounds like they say this is the only fandom that sexualises it. (is that a word?)
What about the people who draw manga, you hardly ever hear them complain about the mature and wacky art they draw.

Yes I do know the furry fandom was and still kinda is branded as a sexual fandom from the media.
But why is it always the furry fandom, why not something else for a change.

So yes today is my hatch day. Got birthday wishes from freinds, got a free last period so I went home early to
do some homework annnnnnnnnnnd... thats about it. Haven't gotten any presents yet.
Tomorrow night i'll be out with friends at a chinese restaurant for dinner. The the day after that i'll be
at a freinds's 18th and might fursuit there.

Planning on doing a comic and just wondering if anyone has any tips on planning
and making panels for a comic.

Also on other news, school starts in a couple of days *flips table*

Went to a fur meet yesterday and I had a lot of fun. Met a few furs I knew and met
a fur that is actually from my town (so i'm not the only one here). Did some fursuiting
let a couple of friends try it on as well. Later we all went to a bowling venue, i didn't
play because I wanted to fursuit a bit more though I did play laser tag.

All and all it was the best fur meet i've been to yet.

Let me quote what a status I put up on Facebook "Life of Pi is one of those rare movies that set out to amaze".
You know those big budget movies that have a fully made up world that is huge and alive and the trailer claim
you'll be amazed, half the time they fail too. Sure it could that I am much older than a younger that would be
amazed. Then why does Life of Pi amaze me? 2 things...

1. The story is so well done that it feels like its based of a true story, yet it isn't.
2. How rare is it to be amazed by CGI in a movie, the tiger looks real in certain scenes. Of course it looks fake in
others but those certain scenes really show what we can do with CGI.
3. The is spot on and superb, the main character and side characters are believable, with a few exceptions.

Its mainly how the story is presented to viewer that really amazed me, the ending as well is very satisfying.
I highly recommend anyone to see this movie. Stuck between fanboys and major nerds getting to see the classic
The Hobbit and families off to see Wreck-It Ralph. Its not surprising that Life of Pi may not be seen by as many
people and that is shame, this movie needs to be seen by everyone.
