2020 has been quite a year, hasn't it?
Posted 5 years agoIt's been a while since we've last spoke or seen each other, a little over a year at this point, but I'm back and I'm ready to jump start my return into the art scene! I know I've missed a lot by means of milestones, show's ending, and just general fandom shenanigans, but I hope that I can catch up with a bit of light reading or just forgo the info in lieu of building my own canon out of what I know from the past or my own creative imagination.
Where MLP is concerned, I still haven't watch the movie- haha- I think I was waiting for a rainy day to come and it never did, so it's just sitting and waiting for me to get to it. Which I likely will, just not until things get a bit more settled for me. That being said I'm definitely going to be either soft resetting my NextGen or just hard booting it from the beginning- we'll see which I prefer to do after I have a look at what I left off at and whether or not I want to take it in the same or a different direction!
I am aware of how FiM ended, I watched the last few minutes just so I could see what we were left with, but that's about it. I have no real comment on it as I stopped watching in the middle of season 6...so...yeah, that's that. Here's to a new tomorrow!
Steven Universe and SU!Future were probably the only shows I kept up with during my hiatus. With the movie then the epilogue series releasing it was just what I needed to keep that muse and interest alive, so I'm glad I was able to stick to it when I did. Spinel, Volleyball and Revolutionary Pearl Fusion are my absolute favorites and I'm so glad they were conceived for us to further enjoy- although I wish we had more of all three!
Kingdom Hearts...oh boy.
So I think 3 came out either before or after I left aaaand I wasn't...happy. The DLC came out and I was even less happy. I ended up restarting my AU Roleplay forum for the fandom just so we could write out how we wanted it to have "ended", so you'll likely see some doodles of the shenanigans we get up to there alongside my NextGen work for Zenithverse, but other than that...I'm currently looking for a new favorite fandom/video game lmao
Maybe I'll stick to horror games for a while- who knows?
Outside of fandom news...my husband and I are in the midst of a separation. It wasn't intending to lead to a divorce, but I dunno- it's all incredibly personal and I won't go into further details here, but I'm on my own in South Carolina now living off disability and commissions and just trying to find a place for me and my new emotional support animal, Sunny, in the midst of this craziness the pandemic has caused and...yeah it's been rough. I'm between a rock and a hard place right now, but I hope me coming back to my roots will be able to keep me grounded will I look to re-stabilize my life.
Newnie and Chip had to be given back to the shelter I adopted them from as I couldn't bring them with me, but I do have Sunny and he does his job well. He's only 10 months at the end of July, but boy is he big. He's definitely gonna be huge cat when he gets older and I look forward to those giant floof snuggles when its time for bed, but for now I've just got the small floof snuggles and they're just as good if not cuter and less suffocating.
Anywho, that's me in a nutshell.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk and I'll see ya'll around the Keychain~
