I'm going to hopefully get on Phoenixwolf's list when she opens in June for a head, but I'm looking to commission the handpaws, feetpaws, and tail from someone else. For those of you who commented on my previous journal about fursuits, I've checked out your work and all of you are on my list for being considered. I'm looking for handpaws that have 4 fingers and are puffy fingers, and the tail I'd like to be skinny like a dachshund's tail. Feetpaws should be outdoor use paws. So if you make these, you know someone who does, etc. please comment.

Don't think your work isn't good enough, because I've never seen anyone selling bad handpaws/feetpaws before, they always look good to me. I'm a LOT less picky about the parts than I am the head.

*UPDATE* I think I'm going to go with  phoenixwolfsuits so I can get a head next time she opens, then upgrade my suit as I get the money to.

Went to my first bowling meet today! Was so much fun!

Finished my handpaws and tail for Sam, so I suited. (well I still need to put the pads on the paws and sew the nose to the head instead of pin it, but shhh)

I suited for about half of the time, went to take a break, and when I took off my head I got really dizzy so I decided to stop for the rest of the time (except for the picture.) I know a few people took pics of me, and then there was the group photo, so if you see me, I'd love links to the pics :)

Also I am an awful suit bowler. I bowled a 29, and that was thanks to bumpers for the second half. When I bowled a game normally, I got a 122 (with bumpers because we were too lazy to take them off). Without pads, my paws are SO slippery.

Oh yeah and some dude kept calling me 'she' after I told him my name was Dean and then assumed that my boyfriend brought me. Like what. Excuse you sir. I never said I had a boyfriend in the first place. And I am a boy, and even though you think I am a girl, girls can be furries too.
And now he thinks I'm a lesbian and idk man it's weird. I think he was hitting on me.
ALSO he kept asking if I wanted bumpers as I bowled badly but he was doing just as bad and refused bumpers. He eventually added them to mine without my consent. Again, just because you think I am a girl does not mean I am weak. Stop sir. You offend me.

Let's see... foam was about $20 or $30, enough fur to create the entire suit with some to spare was $200. (It's actually probably a lot more fur than I needed but I didn't want too little.)

Completely tore apart my first head to reuse the foam if that counts.

What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
I basically wanted a breed that represented my personality so I took a bajillion personality quizzes and Doberman and Border Collie were tied in how often I got them.

Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Uuhm well I tried to keep his colors mostly natural with a little bit of extra (the mohawk). He's also not a common mix, I don't know of any other doberman border collie fursonas. Though I did see someone recently who had a character almost like him visually- don't know what breed theirs was.

Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Toooons I draw him too much actually.

Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
Absolutely not. At least not right now. I haven't really written down who Sam is inside and I don't think someone else could portray him in the same way as me. If I ever gave him to another artist, I don't think he'd be the same Sam anymore.

So I was talking with my mom and we discovered that I won't be able to go to Animazement next year. :C
BUT then she told me that she'd bring me to another con to make up for it, even if it was in Charlotte or Atlanta.

She is actually willing to bring me to Georgia for a con, since I'll be missing Animazement! So I might get to go to FWA! I won't know for sure until closer to the con, but it's definitely exciting that it's a possibility!

If I do go, I'm thinking of making some badge commissions related to whatever the theme will be.

Who all can I see there?

Rumor has it there is hacker on FA, hacking people and blocking our friends to make them block us. You'll then be banned from FA.

Would there be anyone interested if I made fursuit handpaw commissions?

Not saying I'm going to at all, I'm just curious. It's an idea I've tossed around a few times- it'll certainly help me build up my sewing skills, and they're not too difficult from what I've heard.
If I do, I'm certainly going to make a few trial pairs before I do any commissions. Wouldn't want to screw up on those.

Anyone know who made step?

I've been thinking recently and something came to my mind
I don't think I want my main fursuit to be my fursona- instead a more colorful character like iceberg. I wouldn't be able to perform as my fursona because my fursona is me. I still love the suit of Sam that I made... but if I can afford to commission a suit, it probably won't be of Sam.

I'm going to try making a horse head. I just really want to.
