We here at CutePatrol are sorry to inform all of our great members and watchers that we can no longer continue with this club. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but sadly, due to a lot of rough times and current dilemmas, we who once ran and updated this site can no longer go on with it.
That being said, I want to personally thank each and every person out there who supported us, and even still wish to support the great cuteness that will one day over take this world! Though we will no longer be around, we still hope everyone out there will continue to create cute and beautiful work and find great happiness in that.

Here we go again with our fourth ever interview of one of your favorite deputies. Today, we have with us  Risu-Chan. So please sit back and enjoy as we pick their adorable little brain about all the cuteness in the world (Well, in our world!). So let’s give a huggable welcome and enjoy the Q&A.

CP:What’s your favorite aspect of being an artist?
RC:The thing that gives me the most joy out of drawing is being able to draw for others. Don't get me wrong, its incredibly satisfying to see a finished piece of your own, but especially in this community, having the ability to brighten someone's day with a drawing makes me so so happy <3 Its a beautiful feeling to connect with someone else out there, even if indirectly, when they can identify with a feeling depicted in your lines and colors.

CP:What is your greatest inspiration to draw?
RC:Definitely being able to get out and draw with others. I'm incredibly lucky to be able to do collaborations with undyingsong and drakenbyte. I learn new things from them all the time and its just a great inspiration to see through new perspectives. That and music, it drives me!

CP:What names do you like going by?
RC:Mostly just Risu :3

CP:How does it feel to know that your art is so cute?
RC:Nice. I am a huge fan of cutesy things myself so its nice being able to contribute to that niche. I wish I could draw things that weren't teeth-rottingly cute sometimes, but even my "scary" stuff ends up looking cute XD

CP:Do you have any pets? If so what kind and how many?
RC:I don't have any, but my roomates have pets so I get to come home to a prissy cat, a retard dog, and an adorable puppy every day!

CP:What would you do for a Klondike Bar?
RC:I would go to my freezer, then open the box… then eat my klondike bar in bliss :D

CP:Have you ever considered changing your art style?
RC:Yes, my style has changed slightly over the years. Right now I'm in a chibi kind of phase but I'm working on a different doodle style that's a bit edgier and less chubby at the moment.

CP:What’s the most positive aspect of submitting your art on FA as oppose to other sites?
RC: The community here is so nice and generous! I feel there are so many sincere people here than on other sites I've been to.

CP:What makes you so sweet?
RC: Must be all the sugar and coffee? I just like to be fair and open to others every chance I get <3

CP:Any inspiring words for artists and future artists?
RC:Find other artists and draw with them! Have an art jam, they're fun! Also, don't be afraid to try new things. New mediums, new foods, new music! Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places! And remember when you're trying something new and it doesn't quite work out, "mistakes" are really just new challenges and opportunities to learn ;)

I'm so sorry for the delay on the contest. I'm just waiting for one response and hopefully I will have it submitted next week. Though, I said that last week. v_v;

Welcome to our third ever interview of one of your favorite deputies. Today, we have with us  BigFuzzyWolf to talk about the interesting craft of “Spriting”. So let’s give a big welcome and enjoy the Q&A.

CP: Is there a specific name for the hobby that you took up?
BW:Yep! It's called 'bead spriting'. I didn't know much about it until last year. It's not that common a hobby yet, but it's slowly gaining popularity. There are a few forums out there devoted to the hobby. One of 'em is actually run by a furry!

CP: Is this an expensive hobby?
BW: I wish I could say "No, it's so cheap!", but it's not. I've made enough money from commissions at this point to essentially break even. That being said, my bead orders cost between $60-$80 per order, in addition to all the other supplies I buy. However, if you're doing just basic sprites (no coasters, keychains, etc.), and you buy large assorted tubs of beads on sale, you can actually save a significant amount of money. I've had to buy beads, pegboards, ironing paper, glue, foam, keychains, magnets, a postal scale, shipping labels, and shipping envelopes, amongst other things. It adds up, but only if you let it.

CP: Would you recommend this craft to others?
BW: I would only recommend this to people who had a bit of spending cash and a lot of free time/patience. It requires a lot of time hunched over a pegboard with a pair of tweezers.

CP: What's the average time that it takes to complete one of your pieces?
BW: The smallest sprites take me about 20 minutes. The largest one I've done to date (the Samus ship), took me between 50-60 hours. I stopped counting after a while.

CP: What project made you use the most beads? And if you know, how many beads did you use?
BW: It was by far the Samus Ship. That was actually my third bead sprite that I ever did. The ship was 10,796 beads.

CP: What do you have to do to create your blueprint to your product?
BW: That's a good question! A majority of the time, I use sprites that have already been made. I prefer using actual in-game sprites when I can find them. If I can't find them, I will either attempt to make one myself, or modify another sprite. Once that's done, it's just a matter of cutting/pasting into photoshop, and using the lovely 3200% zoom to look at each pixel. I actually have a tutorial in one of my journals if anyone is interested!

CP: What inspired you to take up this craft?
BW: I read an article online about the coolest coasters, y'know, the things you put a drink on? Some of those coasters were actually made of fuse beads. My brain went "Hey, I remember those," and I decided I wanted to make some. Being a wolf, I had to get all kinds of research done, and I totally went overkill. Eventually, I stumbled upon bead spriting, and I fell in love. It's developed into what it is now. I'm certainly not complaining.

CP: Any helpful hints to people interested in beading?
BW: Keep a cool head throughout all parts of the process. You -will- mess up at some point, and it sucks, but it's like that with all art. Stay organized, stay professional, and enjoy doing it.

CP: What names do you go by?
BW: I have lots of nicknames. Fuzz and Fuzzy are the most common, seeing as Fuzz is my name. Fuzzbutt, Fuzzles, Fuzzopolis..any friggin' combination you could think of. However, nobody ever, EVER calls me Puppy. I hate that name. D:<

CP: What makes you so sweet?
BW: <blushes> I wouldn't call myself sweet, exactly.. I'm a bit rough around the edges, honestly. Once I open up though, I've been told I'm one of the sweetest wolves out there. I guess it's because I genuinely care about people. Blame it on the species, but once I'm close to someone, I kind of become their bodyguard. People confide in me, and I provide them with the best I have to offer.

CP: If you were a root vegetable, what kind would you be?
BW: Ginger. (Better be a root vegetable! <narrows eyes at Wikipedia>) Kind of ugly on the outside, but once you really get into it, it has kind of an exotic, strong flavor. It can also be an acquired taste, kinda like me?

Alright, so there is a situation I wish to address to all deputies and watchers alike. There have been some inquiries on what some of the fellow watchers that don’t have the capability to draw can do to become an active member of Cute Patrol… And in all honesty, I have no answer for them. I want things to be fair and interactive for all members that wish to actively participate in our club. But I’ve never actually approached an aspect of not drawing or crafting out the idea.
So, should I simply hand out inmate numbers, so that they feel welcomed? But also, the images are a good way for me to keep the deputies/inmates organized.
I wanted to make it to where Deputies adopted a sidekick, but that would be asking too much as that would be like adopting a perfect stranger that you don’t know whether you would get along… and then, even if the deputies choose a sidekick what would happen to those that were left out… @.@ And I could just envision the drama would happen if the sidekick rubbed the deputy the wrong way.
In either case, does someone have a logical and fair way of approaching this predicament?

CP: What names do you go by?
Ap: I go by Kristy or Kristen, in da real world! And Aprice or Appy on here.

CP: What's your favorite character you've created?
Ap: Besides Indie, Cybil. But I don't like drawing him on MSPaint, so my watchers have barely gotten to see him. C:

CP: Do you believe that your art has evolved overtime or that it has consistent?
Ap: YES. It has changed SO much within the short time that I've joined FA.
I want to keep letting it evolve and change, so I can become better. My goal is to get off the animu crutch.


CP: If you could change your art style, what other direction would you take?
Ap: Well, I've always been attracted to old-timey marvel and DC artwork.

CP: What do you believe is the biggest flaw in your art?
Ap: I've only been drawing for about three years. So I still don't have a strong grasp of anatomy

CP: Do you think pink is the ultimate color?
Ap: I love the color pink. IT OWNS ALL THE OTHER COLORS. <3

CP: What type of medium or style do you prefer to see in artists?
Ap: I don't really think about this. xD I like fresh inventive things. Whether you’re using digital, traditional or bug guts to make your piece.

CP: Is it your goal to give heart attacks with your cuteness?
Ap: INDEED. :B I try and make things people would like. <3

CP: If your character was sacrificed and made into a dish, what dish would you want her to be made into?
Ap: I DON'T WANT HER TO BE EATEN. ;___; Maybe Pixie sticks.

CP: What inspires you to draw?
Ap: All my wonderful watchers and comments. <3 They make me super happy.

CP: What made you decide to have a sheep as your fursona?
Ap: I've raised and shown sheep, goats, and rabbits since I was in fourth grade. C:
Last year I was at a show with one of my good friends, and the lamb she was showing got sick. For eight hours me and her cleaned (the lamb’s) diarrhea, gave her water, cleaned her pen every six minutes because she was throwing up so much. IT WAS PRETTY DISGUSTING. But I didn't want my friend to do it by herself. ;__; Like I said, eight hours of that crap.
The lamb got so weak she couldn't walk, so we left the door open so it'd be easier for us to clean her area. But all of a sudden the sheep jumped through the door, collapsing onto her side. A truck was coming to pick her up, so I and my friend took off our jackets to help warm her up. She was the first thing, and so far only thing that I've seen die.
EMO HUH? x) Raising livestock had played a big role in my life. C: So it kinda stems from that.

CP: On average, how long does it take you to create a picture?
Ap: About 20-40 minutes. :3 I'm impatient.


CP: If you kidnapped all your watchers and made them be your slaves for all eternity, what would be the most annoying task that they would have to complete?
Ap: I would use them all as human furniture.

CP: What makes you so sweet?
Ap: I dip myself in candy every morning!

CP: May Cute Patrol have your wool?
Ap: FINE. I'll just be NAKED.

CP: Any inspiring words for artists and future artists?
Ap: Err... Sex sells?

So, we are going to be having a contest soon, and would like to hear the opinion of everyone of what they would like the theme to be. So, please throw out G rated material that would be a cute contest.

We sat down with  Forbitten_Mongrel, aka FORBIE Deputy 001 this past week and chatted with her about her love for art and a few personal tidbits. So, for the first issues of Cute Patrol Q&A, we proudly present Forbitten Mongrel!

CP: Can I call you Forbie?
FM: I haven't stopped you yet, so of course. lol

CP: What name do you normally like to go by?
FM: Don't really have a favorite. I always like what people come up with.

CP: What do some other people call you?
FM: Biddy, Bitty, Coy, Stoopid. Lol

CP: What inspired you to become an artist?
FM: Well, when I was really little I would doodle a lot. Just random things. Then when I got a little older I watched Sailor Moon and got hooked on Anime. Thus began me drawing non-stop anime. Lol

CP: When did you first start drawing as a hobby and what was your first pic of?
FM: Who knows. I think I was too little to even remember, Lol. The earliest pic I can remember was... a card I made for my mother when I was nine. It had spiders on it. Lol

CP: When you started drawing did you realize how cute your art was going to be?
FM: Heck no! Even now everything I do seems to be cute. I don't try to be, it's just the way I ended up making my style. Of course, cute can mean a different thing to different people. I don't find my art that cute. lol

CP: Who or what inspires you?
FM: For artists it's Koge-Donbo. An anime artists, as well as a few others.
My cats inspires me too, believe it or not. They put me at easy and make me want to create something. I also get inspired by other artist here (on FA), just viewing there work gets me motivated.

CP: What's your cat's name?
FM: I have three. Kir, Diggy, and Chiaroscoro (Chia)

CP: When Creating your adorable art, do you need a distraction in the background? Like TV, Radio, or cats snoring loudly?
FM: Mostly yes. It's usually the TV. Sometimes I'll leave it on, or put in a movie.

CP: Sooo, are you taken? Or can Cute Patrol Date you?
FM: Nope. Dating isn't my thing. But for the Cute Patrol, maybe. ;D

CP: Favorite soda?
FM: Dr. Pepper

CP: Favorite color?
FM: Blue. But I love colors in general.

CP: Favorite Art Medium? To look at and/or to draw.
FM: Sketch work. Woo!

CP: If you were a chip what kind of chip would you be?
FM: Dorito. Nacho flavor babeh! :D

CP: Do you have any words of inspiration for artist and future artists?
FM: No matter what you think of your art, keep drawing. There will be a lot of people who will love it. And it can even effect them. Art comes in different styles. Even the simplest picture can be amazing. Most importantly, draw for yourself!

CP : Is there anything that we can specifically hope to see in the future?
FM: More group pics hopefully.

CP: And last question... What makes you so sweet?

Alright, so I don’t make the longest list possible, I will start with ten at a time. Every time I place another journal I will submit ten others, and then update this specific journal with the other ten, so there isn’t an insane list of people.

Also, I will note to all deputies that we are still and forever will be taking submissions of whatever you conceive to be your character, drawn in any sort of uniform. Please just don’t forget to have the Cute Patrol badge slap anywhere on your character’s person. Note Cute Patrol with the image and your permission to place it on our site.

And for Watchers that wish to participate we are forever taking submissions of whatever you conceive as your character in a prison uniform, as you are prisoners of our deputies cuteness. Please just remember to keep the picture tame. Please note us with permission to submit the image on our site and we will post it with full credit to you.

So, I've been thinking about trying to make CP an environment so that even the Watchers can participate. Deputy 052 was actually the last push that I needed to finalize the idea.
For those that are watching the page and wish to submit an image of themselves in a uniform, I will allow it only if you are okay with being the jailbird. What I mean by this is that you will be in a prison like uniform, as you watchers are the prisoners of cuteness.
If you're interested, please keep the idea friendly. Think G rated as you draw. Please no fetishes (example: Leashes, diapers, ect.), blood, gore and so forth.

If anyone else has any ideas on how to make this site a little more interactive, please comment. I would love to hear what everyone thinks.

Lt. Rejection here! I've come back to discuss and update the Watchers and Deputies on current situations that I find to be important.

Well, the first and most important subject that I wish to discuss is what I really want this directory to be. As one can plainly see, I chose the word “cute” to describe the users that CP wishes to advertise. Now, cute may mean something completely different from person to person. Some it could possibly mean childish innocence, while others may think something that is enjoyable to senses. Cute Patrol’s definition is simply that it is an overall user page that does not exceed anything beyond 1/3 of pornography and that just makes you smile or feel like you simply could jump with joy from viewing the image. This idea seems to be hard for those that I’ve invited to understand and seem to take offense to the invitation. I clearly mean no offense. I simply want to refer people to images that are friendly enough for Watchers to go to without having to look over their shoulder to see if the coast is clear.

Second and just as equally important, I realize that some users will be enthusiastic to volunteer themselves to Cute Patrol. Some even anxious enough to ask to be placed on CP through the shout outs. I appreciate the help, I really do. I don’t want to divert people from nominating themselves, but that’s a matter between the CP moderators and the user that’s volunteering themselves. In other words, please note us instead of shouting out. I know this may come off sounding rude or unfriendly, but I want this to be an environment without any tension and self advertising.

Also, we are forever accepting suggestions to people that you believe should be on the Cute Patrol page. Simply note us with the user.
