Fursuit Making
General | Posted 12 years agoToday marks the official start of my attempt at making a fursuit and I'm super excited! The only part that has me kinda worried is the head, but I've got a friend helping so I feel pretty optimistic. If anybody has any advice or suggestions let me know! :3
28 Days of Thankfulness
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I noticed something that has started going around on facebook where people take time to be thankful for the things they have in their life. I think that is a great idea because we spend the rest of the year rushing around and worrying about one thing or another all the while taking nearly everything for granted. This way I can make a journal to edit every day, not just to show others what to be thankful for but to also remind myself that there are worse things in the world and that we need to stop and appreciate what we DO have. Hopefully other people will see this and even if they don't take the time to write it down, just to take a few seconds to stop and think.
Day 1: I'm thankful for my health. There are many people with all sorts of ailments, and just to be healthy is a blessing in itself.
Day 2: I'm thankful for modern medicine, especially contacts so I can see!
Day 3: I'm thankful for my work. I get to wake up every day and do something I love that benefits those around me, and that feels awesome!
Day 4: I'm thankful for laughter. Smiles look great on everyone, and laughing works wonders for the body and soul!
Day 5: I'm thankful for cold mornings, warm blankets, and good movies!
Day 6: I'm thankful for technology, truth be told I would be completely lost without my phone.
Day 7: I'm thankful that I learned how to cook, not just to survive but to enjoy life. It's quite relaxing.
Day 8: I'm thankful for coworkers that make the shift go by quickly!
Day 9: I'm thankful that almost a year ago I quit smoking for good.
Day 10: I'm thankful for all the small things that bring the biggest smiles!
Day 11: I'm thankful for all who serve our country (men, women, and animals too!)
Day 12: I'm thankful that I've been given a stronger back instead of a lighter burden through prayer.
Day 13: I'm thankful to live where I do; it's not really such a bad place.
Day 14: I'm thankful for the natural beauty of the earth.

Hashtag #ballin
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I walk into the alcohol store to buy some wine and the girls all go wild! They call me by name, give me free merchandise, open a register so I don't have to wait in line, and walk me to my vehicle. If only they knew I like guys too haha! (ps this is my first hashtag ever) Soooo on cloud nine right now!
My First Parade
General | Posted 12 years agoSo earlier in the week I got asked by one of the officers of my squad to take a unit to the Halloween parade and of course I said yes! I haven't been to a parade as a spectator in so many years I can't remember and never been in one as someone in the show itself, so of course I was a little nervous. After what seemed like waiting in line forever I finally got to light up and get moving and it was a BLAST!! Needless to say I can't wait to do it again! Anywho, don't forget to thank or hug your emergency personnel: they risk their ass to save yours!
The Facebooks!
General | Posted 12 years agoYay! I has a Facebook now! Yes, it would seem to be that my boredom has reached the level at which I should not just have one of these nonsensical things of nonsense but now two nonsensical things of nonsense! In any event, I'm off to cause more wolfy trouble, find me and join in my stream of chaos!

The Hard Parts
General | Posted 12 years agoI love my work: I think it's the best ever and wouldn't trade it for the world. That being said, just the nature of the beast means that some days will be better than others. After leaving a scene today I came to a very important conclusion which encompasses my work and faith as well as gives me a reason to keep doing what I do. I've heard EMT's being called angels and paramedics say they do the work of God; I dont agree with either of these things. What I have realized is that sometimes the angel on my shoulder is the person in my hands. I know that everyone has their time and we will all meet our maker to answer for our lives one day, and I accept that some people just need a helping hand while others have moved on to whatever is beyond this life. In closing, I take a moment to remember my four legged companion who made that leap almost a year ago. He came into this world on my birthday, filled my life with many years of love and joy, and rests with his wings on my shoulders.
Mind Explosion
General | Posted 12 years agoSo after a very eventful night at work I am finally free! Now the great question is what to do with my 6 day weekend? Either I'll go stir crazy and sit in a corner rocking back and forth or go to my other job and polish the vehicles until they hurt to look at :-P In any event I am finally awake and now in search of food after having checked my email and bouncing off the walls because I received an awesome commission form valery91thunder! That being said, I'm off to my own devices, ARROOOO!!!
FA Outage?
General | Posted 12 years agoWell I'll be... eh, i suppose we all have to do some maintenance every now and then. In any event, it isn't really too awful for me since I've been at one job or the other almost nonstop. The good news is that I have been considering quitting one of them because I simply can't stand the magnitude of pure LAZY that goes on by people who are supposed to be professional but would rather literally watch their patients suffer and do nothing. I joined the medical community through hard work and the desire to do better in a world that can be less than forgiving; these poor excuses for human beings are simply in it for the money and wish to do nothing to help anyone. I realize we all need money to live, but maybe these indecent people should find a different career because if I had my way they would earn their meals by picking rock on the side of the road as penance for their willingness to even consider receiving money (and good money at that) while their own biggest problem is who has the highest score on their favorite cell phone game. I should stop before my blood boils over and I need to call my own ambulance to pick up the figurative pieces of my mind that have been blown.
On a side note, I hope all is well with those of you who watch my page and leave you with this thought: while scrolling through Facebook today I noticed a photo of emergency personnel with the caption something to the idea that none of us are angels, but we will fight for you and be there in your time of need.

Work, Work, Work
General | Posted 12 years agoBetween working here, there and everywhere I finally have gotten a chance to post! Life has continued to be quite interesting; had a stabbing and then tractor trailer rollover at my first job and then at my second I had a resident pee into a glove and hand it to me! Anywho, I'm looking around the kittylovesmonster site for some things that I want for myself (I need to stop clicking "add to cart" before I have one of everything sent here) until I have to go to work again. If any of y'all are open or know someone who is open for commission to do a ref sheet drawing thingy I would greatly appreciate it! *Beeps* There's my dinner, gotta go!
