Super Sentai: Extra Rangers Edition
Posted 5 days agoWhussup, my Sentai Sycophants! Just kiddin'. XD
What really cemented Power Rangers to me, and I'm sure it was for so many 90s kids, was the addition of the Green Ranger... probably because 'Green with Evil: Part 1' was LITERALLY the first episode of 'Mighty Morphin'' I ever watched XD But since 1992 with Zyuranger, Additional Rangers have just become a staple for my inner geek. Every year I always look forward to what they'll do with it design-wise. And that's what's a-happenin' here, my scoring of the 'Extra Rangers'.
'But wait!' some nitpicker whines out. 'They're called '6th Rangers'!' Guys, that term has long since gone out the window thanks to certain Sentai series, and you'll see why. I just calling them 'Extra Ranger' for simplicity's sake. Plus, there have been extra team members that aren't even classified as 'Rangers'. The 'Evil' Rangers will be it's own thing as well.
OK, starting with:
J.A.K.Q Dengekitai's Big One - Big One appears in episode 23 of this show, so I'm counting him as an 'Extra Ranger'. Don't let them rainbows fool ya, this guy's got style since the 70s. Course with the name, somebody's bound to have made some kinda sex joke XD But yeah, I really love his suit over the others, so he gets a solid 5 out of 5.
Hikari Sentai Maskman's X-1 Mask - OK, I just had to include him on this list, even though this dude only appeared in one episode. Haven't seen this series as of yet. His look is just... OK. If you check out the concept art of the Maskman suit designs, it was different, and X-1 Mask woulda fit more in line with that. So overall just a 3 out of 5.
Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger's DragonRanger - The legendary suit itself! ^^ The green with the gold just works. Power Rangers-wise, it really looks like something Rita Repulsa made it. Especially when you look at the Green Ranger's powers origins; shield and all. I don't wanna be nostalgia-biased... but this suit's a solid 5 outta 5! ^^
Gosei Sentai Dairanger's KibaRanger - Again, the white, black and gold just really work with this look, along with the sword. Just so pleasing to look at. When the White Ranger debut in S2, me and my mom wondered why the suit looked so different. Well, now we all know ^^ A solid 5 outta 5 ^^
Ninja Sentai Kakuranger's Ninjaman - No, not a Ranger, but does fit the bill of being an 'Extra Senshi'. And like I stated earlier, Ninjaman's oneof many that is technically in the '6th Ranger' slot, but isn't called as such. Regardless, Ninjaman is that loveable dork that can kick all kinds of ass. When he grows big and turns into his alter ego Samuraiman, the kick-assery just goes up. Plus, he blue. I loves my blues. XD No to mention my boy got THUNDER THIGHS! XD So he gets a 5 outta 5 cuz of them thick thighs savin' lives ^^
Choriki Sentai Ohranger's KingRanger - Another banger of a suit. The chest armor, those sick knee pads, the king kanji symbol for a visor and the belt buckle. This guy defines the word 'KingRanger', and I'm so happy he appeared in 'King-Ohger In Space' Another solid 5 outta 5.
Gekiso Sentai Carranger's Signalman - A very nifty police-themed character. Again, love the blue. A pretty good score of 4.5 outta 5 for me ^^
Denji Sentai Megaranger's MegaSilver - The first ever Silver Ranger, and what can I say? That silver with the gold parts in the right places, plus his weapon. As I've stated before; GUNS THAT BECOME SWORDS ARE ALWAYS A WIN! 5 out of 5! ^^
Seiju Sentai Gingaman's Black Knight - What could I possibly say about this design that doesn't make look like I'm simping?... cuz I am. XD The armor, the bull theme, and again the weapon. 5 outta 5! ^^
Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive's Zeek - OK, I'd be remised if I didn't at least mention this guy here, cuz GoGoFive never had a 6th Ranger. Juuma Hunter Zeek was a movie-exclusive dude that dies at the near the end of the movie. Overall look is pretty dang sweet, worthy of getting a good 4 maybe 4.5 outta 5. Buuuuuuut... when the GoGoFive's friend/ally Kyoko gets powers at the tail end of the movie, she is rockin' that suit's look. So for her, a solid 5 outta 5. ^^
Mirai Sentai Timeranger's TimeFire - I have always had my reservations about this suit ever since first seeing it. I mean they coulda done just a tad bit more to differentiate it from TimeRed; maybe a darker red. What saves him is his awesome weapon; once again, guns that become swords is AWESOME! So... a good 4.5 outta 5.
Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger's GaoSilver - Holy crap, this suit rocks! Silver, dark blue, with the bits of gold just works. Still kina on the fence about his weapon having a pool cue-mode, but screw it! 5 outta 5! XD
Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger's Goraijers and Shurikenger - For the Goraigers; yes, I know I stated no evil rangers. They started off as evil but become good and become part of the core team, so screw it! Anyhoo, the first ever insect-themed Rangers (I still do wish there was a 3rd one, but I digress) Y'all know I love my beetles. Both get a solid 5 out of 5 for me. ^^ For Shurikenger: overall look is pretty cool, buuuut... not quite on the level that the Goraigers have. He'll get a decent 4 out of 5 for me.
Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger's AbareBlack and AbareKiller - As I stated before when I talked about the suits, AbareBlack does it better with the gold parts. Plus I dig his staff-sword weapon. So he gets a 5 out of 5 for me on that. For AbareKiller... dare I say it? That look, that menace, that red visor. Even my mom's likes his boots. But the thing that drives me nuts is that he's called a 6th Ranger... but he's the 5th member of the team! Makes no sense! By that logic GekiChopper should called a '6th Ranger'. Getting off track, AbareKiller gets a 5 outta 5 ^^
Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger's DekaMaster and DekaBreak - Yeah, I thought DekaMaster was gonna be the 6th Ranger. But he came first, so I'll talk abotu him first. Doggie Kruger ain't just awesome, but he's one of the goodest boys of Sentai. The suit just enhances those attributes; the black, red with teal(?), and his sword. A solid 5 out of 5. ^^ For DekaBreak; a simple white with the dark blue and gold... chef's kiss. Ain't nothing 'nonsense' about this dude. Another solid 5 out of 5. ^^ And yes, this is the first Sentai that breaks the mold when it comes to '6th Rangers', having more than six. Hencewhy it's easier for me to just say 'Extra Rangers.'
Mahou Sentai Magiranger's MagiShine, MagiMother and Wolzard Fire - For MagiShine really love the armor look; the gold, darkblue with the red cape jut looks so nice to the eye. Really like how the magic lamp becomes a gun. So he gets a 5 out of 5. For MagiMother: Really love that regal look, especially with her staff. I especially love the helmet. A 5 out of 5. For Wolzard: Always loved the Wolzard design, buuuuuut... I think I like the purple just a tad more. So a good 4.5 out of 5.
GoGo Sentai Boukenger's BoukenSilver and Zubaan - For BoukenSilver, some fans have had a beef with the design; too many clashing colors. Kinda, at first. But I don't find it as egregious. So a good 4 out of 5. There are better Silver Rangers, but I do like this look. For Zubaan, he's a dude who can transform into a sacred sword. How can you go wrong? 5 out of 5 just for the concept alone.
Juken Sentai Gekiranger's GekiViolet, GekiChopper, Rio, and Mele - For GekiViolet; first ever purple ranger, wolf themed, AND does Muy Thai?! The suit is fire, and it gets a 5 out of 5! For GekiChopper; the white orange and black are just so pleasing to the eyes. Another 5 out of 5 ^^ For Rio... hot damn that black lion armor is so cool! That coupled, with his character, a 5 out of 5. For Mele; yes it's monster form, not quite a Ranger's suit, but the monsters of Gekiranger are awesome to me. So she gets a 4.5 out of 5
Engine Sentai Go-Onger's Go-On Wings - Yes, two '6th Rangers' in this one. The Go-On Wings, a brother and sister team, both Go-On Gold and Go-On Silver respectively. I really dig their suits plane-motif. Though the helmets don't have the animal design like the rest do, I can live with that, the helmets are rad enough as it is. So both get a 5 out of 5. ^^
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger's Shinken Gold - Again, gold and dark blue work extremely well. Plus, he's a sushi chef with a very cool fish-like blade. A 5 out of 5 that always makes me hungry for suchi! XD
Tensou Sentai Goseiger's Gosei Knight - Again, similar designs to aforementioned characters that have similar designs, but he gets the '6th Ranger' title? Regardless, I really love this guy's armor design, especially when lions are one of my favorite animals. So a good 5 out of 5.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's Gokai Silver - silver with a gold visor, nifty collar, and the helmet design resembling a pirate's bandana? Along with Gai's Super Sentai fanboy enthusiasm, how can you go wrong? I love how he represents the 6th Rangers, all though his 'Gold Mode'... oy. I'll bring that up when I talk about Super Modes. Still he gets a 5 out of 5.
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters' Beet Buster and Stag Buster - For Beet Buster... I dunno. I've always had a love/hate relationship with this suit. Pretty much a testament about how I felt about this Sentai overall. He gets a good 3.5 out of 5. Stag Buster gets off easier with the metallic blue in parts, but not too much to really save either overall. So he get's a 4 out of 5.
Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's Kyoryu Gold, Kyoryu Cyan, Kyoryu Gray, Kyoryu Violet and Kyoryu Silver - Hooo boy! See what I mean when I say that '6th Ranger' mold has been broken? OK, I'm gonna put Cyan, Gray and Violet in the same category, cuz they aren't different from the core five like the others. I dig 'em, they represent their respective dinos and each have a unique flare. All together they get a 5 out of 5. For Kyoryu Gold: for a gold ranger, he's got some really great flare with the hints of blue in places. So he gets a 5 out of 5. For Kyoryu Silver: okay, if it weren't for the gold parts of the suit, and the helmet, you'd kinda think he'd confused with Gray. And they do make a joke about that in one of the movies XD But I dig him, so a 5 out of 5 ^^
Ressha Sentai ToQGer's ToQ 6gou and ToQ 7gou: for ToQ 6gou - first ever orange ranger that fits in with the construction-theme. So a 5 out of 5 for him. For ToQ 7gou; he's a purple recolor of 6gou that's only in the epilogue movie. Not a bad look overall; like the track designs on the chest, coulda done up the helmet a bit. So he gets a good 4 out of 5.
Shuriken Sentai Ninninger's Star Ninger - What can I say about a cowboy-ninja with a poncho-chest armor, a guitar-sword, and a burger-morpher?? Yeah, he was the best thing about this Sentai. A 5 out of 5 for star power. I could mention pappy and grand-pappy Aka Ninger here as well, buuuuuut... It's just the two with different colored sashes. Now Mido Ninger does have the same visor-style as Aka Ninger, but I really do like the vibrant green, so she gets a 4.5 out of 5 ^^
Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger's Zuoh The World and Zyuoh Bird - For Zyuoh The World, I'd love to be a fly on the wall, listening to the dudes in the production room talking about this guy; not being able to decide what color to make this guy. So they just said, 'screw it, let's make him black, gold and silver!' It's one of those things where it shouldn't work... but does. Different changes to the helmet and his weapon really makes The World unique and a breath of fresh air. So he gets a solid 5 out of 5. For Zyuoh Bird; a recolored version of Zyuoh Eagle, swapping red for orange, but the really nifty blue for the visor and animal design on the chest, with the gold trims on the boots and gloves... yeah, I give him a 5 out of 5 ^^
Uchu Sentai Kyuranger's Ryu Commander, Kouguma Skyblue and Houou Soldier - Yeah, with 9 Rangers already there, that '6th Ranger' thing is well out the window. For Draco Commander; another awesome mentor that becomes a ranger. The purple is rockin' as well as the helmet. For Koguma Skyblue; love the shade of blue, love his theme, love that he can grow to a big size. Imagine him and Ant-Man going big, kicking ass together. For Houou Soldier; helmet, suit, weapon... too cool. Each get a 5 out of 5 for me. Kyuranger is just awesome! ^^
Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger's Lupin X/Patren X - Again, 6th Ranger slot out the window. One dude, two different suits, and pretty dang awesome. Much as I do like the look of Lupin X, something about Patren X hits all the right notes. It's probably that coat XD So for Lupin X 4.5 out of 5. Patren X gets 5 out of 5 ^^
Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger's RyusoulGold - Retreading gold with the navy/dark blue again, and the look is always cool. Again tho, that black chest design goin' straight to the crotch XD So a good 4 out of 5. ^^
Mashin Sentai Kiramager's Kiramai Silver - Silver, orange, and crystal blue. Shiny and cool. He gets a 5 out of 5 for me ^^
Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger's Twokaizer - A pirated version of Gokai Red but that's the point XD Just a fun look. 5 out of 5 ^^
Avataro Sentai Donbrother's Don Doragoku/Don Torabolt and Don Murasame - Another 6th Ranger with two different forms. Definitely love this suit design so he gets a 5 out of 5. The alter ego Don Torabolt... different helmet/chest armor, but it's still gold, doesn't really hit the notes for me. So he gets a 2 out of 5. For Don Murasame; love his look and purple. So he's a solid 5 out of 5 ^^
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger's Spider Kumonos and Ohkuwagata Ohger - Holy crap, I frickin' dig Spider Kumonos' look! No notes, a solid 5 out of 5 ^^ For Ohkuwagata Ohger, he's a gray version of Kuwagata Ohger, but it works with these brothers. So he gets a 4.5 out of 5.
Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger's Bun Violet - Tire-visor not withstanding, the violet with the yellows really hit home for me. So he gets a 4.5 out of 5 ^^
No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger's GozyuPolar - I haven't seen the show yet, waiting till March, but boy have the small bits I've seen enticing me. And GozyuPolar ain't no exception. The look, the swagger.... ugh! just a 5 out of 5 for me.
That's what I got so far. Sorry if seemed so biased with most of these getting solid fives XD These designs are just so cool to me XD
Lemme know you favorite Extra Ranger.
Thanks for your time ^^

Thanks for your time ^^
Super Sentai: Of Suits and Styles.
Posted a week agoHow be ye, all me weirdos.
So yeah, as quickly as it was just incredulously Thanos'd out of existence, one of my favorite YouTube channels 'Trouble Busters' has made a triumphant return like nothing happened. Who got all the Infinity Stones? With a name like 'Trouble Busters', you'd think they'd be some kinda Sentai group. And they kinda are in a way. Which is precisely what I'm a-gonna talk about here.
50 years of Super Sentai, and that's 50 years worth of cool stuff to talk about. The Ranger characters themselves? No, I don't wanna overload this journal, an I know I can be a windbag at times. So I'm just gonna talk about their suits, cuz that's what draws people in whenever Sentai is mentioned, right? ^^ Just giving my thoughts about the suits of the core team and ranking them on a 1 to 5 score. When I say 'core team' I mean I'm not gonna cover the '6th Rangers'. That'll be another journal. I will also do the Super Modes in another journal.
Himitsu Sentai Goranger: There's just always something about these suits from 1975 I just can't help but fall in love with. Simplistic, given the era they aired in, but still really hold up well 50 years later. But, just cuz it's original, doesn't mean it's automatically good. Only gripe I have is why Blue, Yellow and Green have black boots/gloves, while Red and Pink have white? That's just a nitpick. And if you checkout the "Himitsu Sentai Goranger: The Classic Manga collection' book that came out a few years ago, you'll notice the chevrons they have on the suits are silver, and Midoranger has white gloves. I don't wanna sound biased with nostalgia, but cuz of their snazzy look, I rank these suits a solid 5 out of 5... and in the five of them together! XD
J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai: For suits that're a playing card motif, they're pretty cool for what they are. But they don't hit AS home for me as the Goranger suits. So, they get a 4 out of 5.
Battle Fever J: I've had a love/hate relationship with these suits back in the day when I first learned about the Pre-Zyuranger stuffs. For a while, I thought these suits where the worst I've ever seen, even by 70s standards. Those thoughts have changed, though they are still a wee bit weird. But they did something right when they've solidified Super Sentai with the first ever giant robot. So for these suits, a good 4 out of 5. ^^
Denshi Sentai Denziman: Nifty design for the most part, but I ain't gonna lie, those suits do look itchy as hell. XD A gripe I have lies with DenziPink; the rest of her suit looks like a faded out pink compounding her helmet color. So these suits get a 3.5 out of 5
Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan: I just love the uniformity of these suits. Again, simple, but they nailed the look. A 5 out of 5 for these suits.
Dai Sentai Goggle-V: Simple, yet again, but the uniformity is there. The helmets take a minute to get use to. So for that, it's a 3.5 out of 5 for these suits.
Kagaku Sentai Dynaman: Ehh... I don't really have nothing much to say about these suit designs. I mean, you can tell they were originally suppose to be a baseball motif Sentai when you read between the lines. So 3 out of 5 for these.
Chodenshi Bioman: For 80s vibes Sentai series, this hits all the right notes for me; the look of the helmets, the circuitry design on the chest. Solid 5 out of 5 for these. ^^
Dengeki Sentai Changeman: Very solid helmet design. Suit design overall hits almost all the notes, but I can't help but think they're wearing tank tops. XD So 4 out of 5. ^^
Choshinsei Flashman: Love. These. SUITS! For a show that came out in 1986, these look so futuristic and cool. 5 out of 5 for me! ^^
Hikari Sentai Maskman: Overall a pretty solid look for these suits, I really don't have too much to say about them. Again, nifty helmet design. So a good 4 out of 5 with these.
Choju Sentai Liveman: Even tho Black Bison and Green Sai appear in episodes 28/29, I'm gonna count them here for the core team. Very solid design for each. Blue Dolphin is my favorite with her helmet (And simply blue XD). That said, my only gripe is Yellow Lion. That lion on his chest bugs the hell outta me; like someone took a kid's elementary school drawing and put it on the suit. Minus that discrepancy, a good 4.5 out of 5 for the suits ^^
Kousoku Sentai Turboranger: Solid suits. Solid helmet designs. I don't got really too much to say about these suits. They even have a nifty white Powerless version of the suits. 5 out of 5 ^^
Chikyu Sentai Fiveman: Another cool uniformity with the suit design. I especially dig the symbols on the helmets' foreheads to show off what these five siblings, whom are teachers, teach ^^ So 5 out of 5 for these. ^^
Choujin Sentai Jetman: While I'll gripe on this show being put too high on a pedestal, and especially that damned ending, I will NOT deny that these suits are so frickin' cool! ^^ I've always loved birds, so these really hit home for me. 5 out of 5 ^^
Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger: Y'all should know these suits all too well. Been a staple in Power Rangers since its conception. 'Course there's always that stigma of the Rangers having their respective dinosaur emblems on their chests in media other than the show! XD Love the helmets, love the diamond patterns on the suits. 5 out of 5 ^^
Gosei Sentai Dairanger: I half-agree with so many that we should've gotten these suits in season 2 of Mighty Morphin', brand-recognition and all that. Helmets and suit design... ya can't beat 'em. 5 out of 5. ^^
Ninja Sentai Kakuranger: First ever ninja motif, and they are glorious! And cuz of the helmet designs when they showed up in 'Alien Rangers', they really did look a bit alien to me. Probably cuz we were getting other footages that weren't Zyuranger or Kibaranger exclusive! XD 5 out of 5
Choriki Sentai Ohranger: I've seen people harp on the helmet designs, especially with the lips, but I don't see anything wrong with it specifically. The late, great JDF didn't like the star on his helmet, I still think it's rad. I especially love the circuitry designs on the suits. A solid 5 out of 5 ^^
Gekiso Sentai Carranger: Always loved the design of the suits. Lots of chrome on the helmets XD Nothing too much to say here, so 4.5 out of 5 .
Denji Sentai Megaranger: Simplistic design, but it does lend itself pretty good for the look. Didn't know that the five colors on their chest was suppose to be for the longest time, till I found out that Megaranger was a videogame-motif Sentai. I do kinda wish there was a little detail design on the gloves/boots, but otherwise another 4.5 out of 5 ^^
Seiju Sentai Gingaman: People have called these suits the 'Charlie Brown Rangers', but I've never minded that in the least even back in the day. The designs lend themselves well, so these suits get a 5 out of 5 for me.
KyuKyu Sentai GoGoFive: People still have an issue with the patterns on the chests looking like a pinwheel. I knew once that it's suppose to represent something, but have forgotten. But still, simple design, but prove to be impactful. So 5 out of 5 for these Five ^^
Mirai Sentai Timeranger: The helmets really sell me on the design. Not to mention it's the first suit to actually show a henshin device on the suit. 5 out of 5 ^^
Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger: I might sound biased, I haven't had an single issue with these suit designs once in almost 25 years since I saw these designs. From the sash-like design on the chests, the animal badge, the helmets. A solid 5 out of 5 for me ^^
Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger: I've got no notes about these suits. The silver parts on the arms really sell the ninja-motif for me. 5 out of 5.
Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger: I do love the suits, especially the helmets, but the gold symbol on the chest kinda clashes with the while diamond patterns. I dunno, it's always bugged me. AbareBlack's suit pulls the look off so much better since those patterns are gold. So these suits get a 4 out of 5.
Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: How can you NOT fall in love with these suits, man? Tell me how? Tell me why? XD Need I say these suits get a solid 5 out of 5?
Mahou Sentai Magiranger: Once again, I am in love with these suits. I know Edna says 'NO CAPES!', but dammit, they look so good here. It's the right design where the capes aren't a hinderance, and the uniformity is FIRE in the design. 5 out of 5 for these ^^
GoGo Sentai Boukenger: I've heard complaints about these suits, but I dunno. There's something industrial about the look that I can't help but like. Again, very cool helmets. So 4.5 out of 5. ^^
Juken Sentai Gekiranger: Complaints about the suits not having a belt buckle, but who gives a crap? I love these suits! 5 out of 5. ^^
Engine Sentai Go-Onger: Simple look, but it all coalesces so well with the motif and fun energy of the show. I especially love the number-animal symbols on their chests. A 5 out of 5. ^^
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger: What could I possibly say about these designs that I never liked about these suits? The kanji symbol-visors really sell it for me here. Another 5 out of 5 ^^
Tensou Sentai Goseiger: As much flack as this show gets, I really love the ornate design of the suits. Really nails the majestic, angelic look. However if there's one gripe I've always had is that Gosei Blue is the only one that has the water-based 'Seaick Tribe' symbol on his chest. I sound like Death the Kid here for this, but it throws off the symmetry when you have two Skyick, and two Landick Goseigers. So a 4 out of 5 for these.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: These suits haven't stopped being awesome since 2011. Only gripe I have is that I'm surprised the suits don't have a holster for their pistols and cutlasses. Just saying. Despite all that, these suits are a solid 5 out of 5 ^^
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters: Very sweet look design-wise, though I can't help but always think how hot it must've been working in those leather suits. XD A 5 out of 5 for me with these. ^^
Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Still rad suits for me today. Design, motif, the fun, and the energy all make these suits a staple in Super Sentai. A BRAVE 5 out of 5 for me ^^
Ressha Sentai ToQger: Ok, I WAS skeptical of the suits when I first saw them; thought it was too simplistic, and the rails on the visors worried me. All that changed when I saw them in action. Still a simple design, but the lend themselves well. So a good 4.5 out of 5 for these suits.
Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Very cool design, and once again, the helmets save the day. But why the black gloves and white boots though? So 4 out of 5.
Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger: Again, a simplistic design, but the animal faces on the suits makes it. And once again, the helmets are fire. A 5 out of 5 for me. ^^
Uchu Sentai Kyuranger: I. Friggin'. LOVE these suits! Each suit just has a very unique flavor for each Ranger. The wings on Aquila Pink are a little off to me at first, but that's nitpicky. A massive 5 out of 5 for me with these suits ^^
LuPat: For Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger; I really love how the phantom thief tophats are the helmets' visors. The suits overall are just a breath of fresh air. So 5 out of 5 for Lupinranger. For Keisatsu Sentai Patranger; I love how the cop hats are the visors, and you can see the necktie designs of the suits. Not quite as striking as the Lupinrangers, but will get a good 4.5 out of 5.
Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger: The helmets really sell the knight-look. If I had once gripe, I wouldn't have done their emblem design look like it's pointing right down to their crotch. XD A good 4 out of 5. ^^
Mashin Sentai Kiramager: Love the looks, love the crystal motifs. Shine on, I say. A 24 karat 5 out of 5 for these suits. ^^
Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger: Man this one's gonna be a touch call. 4 of the 5 are based off old-school Sentai Mechs; weird at first, but so awesome. Zenkaizer himself is just so dang cool! OK, 5 outta 5! XD
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers: Wacky designs that are totally awesome. But, oy, what brings it a bit down in Inu Brother and Kiji Brother. Again, their CG rendering looks so rough. Overall a good 4.5 out of 5.
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: Holy crap, what don't I like about these suits?! Armored look, helmets, regal regalia... they all hit home for me. Easily a 5 out of 5. ^^
Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger: Yes, I'll be the first to admit, and agree with others that the tires on the helmets was a thing to get use to. Still kinda is. But I'd be lying in saying that I didn't think it made these suits unique. The rest of the suits are very nifty. So these get a cranked-up 4.5 out of 5 for me. ^^
No.1 Sentai Gozyuger: Oh my giddy aunt, these suits are just dynamite! ^^ Just so pleasing to the eye to look at. Yeah, I like it... guess I'll put a ring on it. XD 5 out of 5 ^^
So there you have it. 50 years worth of cool Super Sentai suits. And here's to 50 more, baby!

I'm pissed @ YouTube! >:(
Posted 2 weeks agoMy favorite revenge channel, Trouble Busters, got deleted today for 'violating terms of service', whatever the hell that means anymore. Meanwhile, YouTube keeps letting the racist, homophobic, misogynistic Chud-Channels, who HAVE violated their guidelines on so many occasions, keep going?!
We live in such bizarre times, my friends.

My thoughts on Fantastic Four: First Steps
Posted a month agoDominic Toretto: It's all about family.
And that's exactly what I got from this movie. Don't worry, I will keep it spoiler-free as I can, but here's the thing. Let's just say that this is a Fantastic Four movie I wanted to see, and something my dad woulda definitely loved. ^^ Definitely Stan Lee and Jack 'The King' Kirby woulda loved.
The cast was solid, and I loved how they played off each other. This is a proper Galactus, and with a motivation. Shalla-Bal as Silver Surfer was a win. HERBIE was awesome, and I do hope he's in 'Doomsday'.
I can already smell the usual grifters writing out their things, calling it a 'failure' or 'disaster', especially from Critical-Always-Drunk-Off-His-Ass, all to get some easy cash. I'll sound like an asshole for this, but if people that watch these bozos on YouTube still shell out money for them after finding out how wrong they were on certain parts of this movie, then you deserve to get suckered.
Someone on the bus asked me afterwards if I liked this or Superman 2025 better. I said, 'It's like choosing your favorite kids.' Ya don't do that. I loved both movies. As I always say, your mileage may vary, but go give this movie a looksee. I deem this movie worthy of being in my DVD collection. Dare I say this movie was... Fantastic?
Meme: Say that ag-
*PUNCHES THE MEME!*
I am not dignifying that damn meme! ^^
Thanks for your time ^^

I'll sound like an asshole for this, but if people that watch these bozos on YouTube still shell out money for them after finding out how wrong they were on certain parts of this movie, then you deserve to get suckered.
Someone on the bus asked me afterwards if I liked this or Superman 2025 better. I said, 'It's like choosing your favorite kids.' Ya don't do that. I loved both movies. As I always say, your mileage may vary, but go give this movie a looksee. I deem this movie worthy of being in my DVD collection. Dare I say this movie was... Fantastic?

I am not dignifying that damn meme! ^^

A Fantastic Four Retrospective
Posted a month agoAs a kid growing up in the early 90s I was really getting into superhero stuff; collecting some toys, and watching their respective cartoons. And as a kid growing up, my dad had a wall of action figures still in their packaging. Besides toys like Iron Man, which really got me into armored heroes, Fantastic Four was among my dad's collection. It was around those times I starting watching those shows, and really got into them, even when me and my family moved from Glendale to San Jose in 1996. And the more I saw the Fantastic Four in other shows, even the 90s Spider-man cartoon, I just couldn't help but love 'em. 'Course from that, via causality, I learned about Galactus, Blackbolt and the Inhumans, and of course one of my all-time favorite Marvel characters, Silver Surfer! ^^ Hell, he's why silver's one of my favorite colors XD On that note, even though it might be a pipedream given it's now infamous rep, but I wouldn't mind Marvel Studios taking another crack at the Inhumans. There IS potential, it's all about execution.
I admit to not being an avid comic book reader, but from all the cartoons and such I have seen them in, there's was just always something so fascinating to me about 'Marvel's first family'; their style, their teamwork, their adventures.
As we were getting more comic book movies and Fantastic Four was announced, I was hyped believe you and me. And I know somebody's gonna let me know in the comments about the Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie from the 90s. I haven't seen the while things, but via reviews on Youtube. Yes, it's campy as all hell, and very low-budget, but I think it's unfair to hold that against the abundance of comic book movies we got today. Sure, we had Superman and Batman movies, but even then some studios scoffed at the idea of superhero movies, never mind and ENTIRE franchise full of these movies. And I gotta say, out of these four Fantastic Four movies, this movie's a pretty dang faithful adaptation to the comic, campiness and all. This movie does have it's own problems, and a couple characters just weren't needed... and a scene that'll probably get the FBI knockin' on your door. Yeah, it was pretty much a right's grab thing that caused the movie to go unreleased. If it wasn't for it's cheap-lookin' quality, it probably woulda been a really good movie back then. Also gotta say, the cast had very great chemistry.
But in preparations for 'Fantastic Four: First Steps', I decided to take a look back at the previous Fantastic Four movies. Unfortunately that involved watching 'Fant4stic' from 2015, for the first time in a decade, and yeah, it still sucks. I mean I did watch it with an open mind, and there WAS some kinda potential with it. But all that is just surface deep, cuz the first red flag was going with a darker tone. Yeah, worked great with 'Man of Steel. The reason why stuff like Daredevil and Moon Knight worked, despite the intention darker tone, didn't wallow in that tone, was still fun, and still functioned as part of the MCU. 'The Crow's' a dark film, but still knew how to have fun. Same with the likes of 'Batman Begins' and 'The Batman.' It just doesn't work for something like the Fantastic Four; something that's suppose to be adventurous, not to be something that was inspired by 'The Fly', body-horror and all. I came across concept art of the Four for this movie, and apparently the body-horror element was gonna be far worse! Oy! Just... oy.
'Fant4stic' should be taught in film school as an example of how studio interference can ruin something. With all the behind-the-scenes tumult that went on with this, yeah, this movie was doomed from the word 'go'. Barely any character development, things just happening for grittiness' sake, and something that resembled Dr. Doom. Oh, excuse me, I meant 'Crash-test Doomy'. And how the hell did Dr. Doom get his cloak in this? And of course, the controversy with race-swapping Human-Torch. Yet oddly enough, he was the only character I liked and thought was interesting. I'm glad Michael B. Jordan bounced back with 'Creed' later that year ^^ Though when it comes to watching either this and 'BvS', guess which one I'll watch over the other. I'll give ya a hint, one of 'em doesn't have 'Martha'. Yeah, oddly enough 'Fant4stic' doesn't anger me like 'BvS' does. And yeah, cuz of this movie, Disney bought out Fox, and it was for the best, cuz Fox proved they really didn't care about the source material nor storytelling with that material they had. Oh, and least I forget the meme that's gone on in Youtube's comment section since the first 'First Steps' trailer dropped. Y'all should know what I'm talkin' about.
But cuz of this movie, Fox's 'Fantastic Four Duology' was reevaluated in a more positive light. And I'd be remised if I didn't give a shout out to Julian McMahon who played Dr. Doom in the movies: he passed away early July. RIP, man. Yeah, Julian definitely had the look as Victor Von Doom, pretty intimidating. Ugh, I know the nerds always love to point out Marvel's 'villain problem,' but long as they're intimidating or just fun, I really don't need too much depth. But since 2005, I learned a bit more about Doc Doom, aaaaaannnnnnd.... yeah the Fox movies didn't do him justice at all. Regardless, I do have a small soft spot for this Doom, not because of Julian's death (I mean I literally learned about last week at the time of this journal's post, a week before I started writing this XD) If they tweaked him just a little bit more, particularly giving him a bit of an accent, then I really wouldn't have minded not giving him his mysticism/science origin. Yeah, looking back at the 2005 movie, Doom's deal is VERY similar to Norman Osborne in the first Spider-Man movie. I really liked the cast for these movies, they really worked well and had chemistry. For the longest time I thought Jessica Alba was a miscast for Sue Storm in these movies. But seeing these movies again recently, that opinion on that's changed. I'm happy Chris Evans got to reprise his role as Human Torch in 'Deadpool and Wolverine'; I totally didn't see that coming. Michael Chiklis WAS Ben Grimm/The Thing for me back then, but I'm really liking Ebon Moss-Bachrach's take on it. Ioan Gruffudd played a pretty damn good Reed Richards. When 'First Steps was announced, I thought John Krasinski was gonna reprise his role, even direct the movie. When 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' came out, I was fully on board (pun intended XD). Doug Jones as the body and Laurence Fishburne as the voice? Instant win. This Silver Surfer is my personal favorite live-action Silver Surfer till we see Norrin Radd in the MCU. While I'm glad we're getting Galactus for the new movie, I can't harp on what we saw in 'Rise of the Silver Surfer' as a cloud; CGI limitations back then and all. We did see his silhouette and all. These movies did pull stuff from the 'Ultimates' comics...which really ain't that good a template to a lot of the times. Least these movies didn't feature cannibalism. Yeah, the duology still ain't perfect even after seeing them again years later. There's some stuff I would've done differently, scenes to be cut out, not feel so bogged down to just the Baxter building, and yeah, the CGI is definitely rough, especially for Reed's stretchy scenes. But after seeing them again this time around, I gotta say they're my favorite pre-MCU movies, and I'll watch them again. Call it my guilty pleasure, sue me. Like the '94 movie, the characters and their chemistry is what makes the duology worth it to me.
Far as cartoons go, if you have Disney+ go check out the '94 Fantastic Four cartoon. And definitely recommend checking out 'Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes'. Got one of my favorite versions of Doc Doom and the Fantasticar in there ^^ Not to mention one of my favorite versions of the suits. Y'all know I love me some blue, white and orange mix ^^
I'm excited for 'First Steps', even though I can already smell the incel grifters on Youtube already calling it a 'disaster', like they haven't labelled everything else a disaster already. Been hating on this for the most bizarre and stupidest reasons and keep making mountains out of molehills for; thinking Sue Storm will bully Reed, the men of the movie will get less spotlight, Johnny not being a womanizer. Womanizer means you sleep around with women and treat them like shit, ya dumbasses! I should make a list of things these clowns don't seem to know. We all know 'woke' is at the top of that list. Shala-Bal/Silver Surfer's speech in some TV spots... whew. Herbie is cute as hell! Galactus... damn! I really dig the retro-future 60s aesthetic. Man, Jack Kirby would be proud. And that awesome Fantasticar! If there's a Lego set of that, I will buy it no questions asked. But overall, I just wanna have a great time with this movie like I do anything MCU-related. ^^
The only thing bumming me out is that my dad, who wanted to see a good Fantastic Four movie in the last 20 years, isn't around to see it. Well, I gotta enjoy it for both of us then.
So that's my two cents on this here matter.
Also, show of hands. Anyone else thought his name was 'Galacticus' not 'Galactus'? No? Just me? Ah well.
Thanks for your time ^^

Nifty Crossover Idea - Fantastic Four and Thunderbirds
Posted 2 months agoNo, not Thunderbolts*, we gotta wait a year for that XD
Nah, checking out the behind the scenes stuff for 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' and their 60s aesthetic, something just popped into my head. A couple things actually.
Any Thunderbirds fans here? Imagine a pretty nifty crossover with them and the Fantastic Four; both do rescue missions, both got awesome gadgets and spaceships. I can only imagine Reed and Brains talkin' nerdy in the lab together XD
Another nifty crossover idea; Fantastic Four and Star Trek. Again, spaceships and explorations. And the Fantastic Four duke it out with aliens. I mean we had a Star Trek: Next Gen crossover with the X-Men, so yeah ^^
Few cool stuff from the 60s. Last crossover idea was Ant-Man with C.M.D.F. (Combined Miniature Deterrent Forces) from 'Fantastic Voyage'. And there's another cross idea for ya. Fantastic Four on a 'Fantastic Voyage' XD Now all we need is Herbie from 'First Steps' hangin' out with Herbie the Love Bug, then we good XD
Just some ideas. ^^

Superman: One Week Later
Posted 2 months agoIf that ain't a title, it should be XD
I'd say these Snyderbros don't wanna live in reality, but I'd just be like a broken record. And to say that this movie broke 'em would also be an understatement. Culture war bullcrap, conspiracy theories that the movie didn't make nearly as much money as it did, James Gunn's pocketing the profits, using their own children on the internet for clout, and the list goes on.
Yep, focusin' on the things that truly mater, boys and girls. I'm sure the Snyder-verse will be comin' back with a loving embrace. All that money you spent on the campaigns to 'restore the Snyder-verse' will make its return.
Thank God, I don't own an actual Infinity Gauntlet. XD
If you didn't like the movie, cool. If you did, cool. I dug it, and can't wait to get it on DVD ^^

My thoughts on Superman 2025
Posted 2 months agoWell, went and saw the new Supes for this brand-spankin' new DC Universe.
Don't worry I'm gonna keep this as spoiler-free as I can. To those Snyderbros who thinks to that Synder's Superman is this paragon of masculinity, or to those that love these Snyder movies with the mentality that 'comic book movies are for little kids'... Y'ALL CAN SUCK IT!
Yeah, I am happy to report that my faith in Superman has been restored. We finally got a Superman movie that ain't ashamed to be a comic book movie. THIS is how you do Superman justice... pun very much intended. ^^ David Corenswet really sold me as Supes. Nicholas Hoult definitely sold me as Lex Luthor, and gives a clear motivation on why he hates Superman, so Jessie Eisenburg... take a hike. Rachel Brosnahan was an awesome Lois Lane ^^ I definitely wanna see more Hawkgirl, Guy Garder Green Lantern, and most especially Mister Terrific. Hot Damn! And especially Metamorpho ^^
I can already smell these losers calling it a 'mess', or 'how it corrupts their vision' and all that crap. If I had a $100 every time I heard that, I could buy every last one of y'all breakfast, lunch, and dinner from your favorite restaurant definitely more than ten times.
I'm ready for this new DCU reboot, and I'm getting excited to 'Supergirl' next year. Sure can't wait for the incels to rail on that!
Homer Simpson: Oh by the way, I was being sarcastic.
You said, Homer. But yeah, I had a great time watching this, and I deem it worthy of getting it on DVD, and a spot next to my 'Blue Beetle' DVD. ^^ As I always say, your mileage will vary, but go give it a watch ^^ If we get a sequel, I believe it's high time for Brainiac to get his live-action debut.
Thanks for your time. ^^

Of Superman ^^
Posted 2 months agoYou know what? As a kid I really didn't watch a lot of stuff about Superman. Not like a lot a lot. I mean I knew his backstory thanks to the likes of Muppet Babies, and various other shows. I saw a few rerun episodes of the old 'Super Friends' cartoon, that's how I knew of the Justice League. If anybody remembers the old Superman toy commercials of the 90s, that's how I knew about characters like; Superboy, Steel, and Doomsday. Surprised that haven't done anything with the character Conduit. XD And as a kid I caught clips of the old school Christopher Reeves Superman movies, and even some shows that aired on Cartoon Network. In elementary school we had Friday afternoon movies, and I saw 'Superman IV'. Looking back on that movie today... yikes.
2006 woulda been my first big screen experience with Supes when 'Superman Returns' came out. And boy that movie did not leave a good impression on me. After seeing it, I decreed to myself that back then; 'Superman never existed to me. He was never even made.' God, I was so weird then, no wonder I'm weird now. XD Back then I had always thought of Superman was just this overpowered, invincible dude with little personality, so I thought he was just a boring, thanks to that movie. And it's not Brandon Routh's fault, y'all. He was awesome as Ray Palmer/ The Atom, he just had to work with what he got thanks to the director Brian Singer. But those views and criticisms changed when I stared watching Linkara's vids. Yeah, I had the total wrong idea about Superman. He CAN work in a movie, it always depends on the writer and execution. I cringe now at the scene where Bill from 'Kill Bill talks about Superman. God that was complete horseshit. And of course, we have our dear friend Frank Miller's take on Supes, as he featured in his nonsensical, racist, pro-facist Batman stories; and how Batman and Superman shouldn't be friends at all. Don't even get me started on all the scrapped Superman projects that had different directors, including 'Superman Lives' with Nicolas Cage.
So because of all those scrapped projects, and 'Superman Returns' failing, WB had to get another movie going, or risk losing the license. And you can tell how much influence Christopher Nolan and the 'Dark Knight Trilogy' had when 'Man of Steel came out. I was indifferent towards it back in 2013. Of course I was surprised about Supes killing Zod (again, execution)...amongst so many other things in that movie. And my thoughts on it didn't get better when I rewatched it like a year later. In fact I found myself hating the movie. And yeah, Jonathan Kent's 'tornado-cide' is still very stupid all these years later. That was biggest problem with the movie, all the stuff that has to do with Jonathan Kent and his irrational paranoia about Clark actually saving people even though he kept calling Clark a 'messiah.' Yeah, Zach, you did not understand Superman or his backstory at all. So many pointless things and nonsensical plot points that bring this movie down. WB didn't even plan to make a cinematic universe outta this after 'Man of Steel', it was all a last minute decision. And it shows as they were trying to catch up with Marvel. So why did I watch 'Batman vs. Superman' in theaters back in 2016? I'm sure there were other reasons, but I was drawn to it because of the idea of Supes teaming up with Batman for the first time in live-action. But above that, I decided to give Synder's Superman another chance. But as soon as I saw that scene where a young Bruce Wayne is getting floated up by a flock of bats, I knew exactly this was gonna be rough. And it was very rough from beginning, middle, and end. The crap that followed Superman from 'Man of Steel; pointless subplots, it's main plot making no sense, the 'Knightmare scene', and Batfleck being an absolute moron throughout. I can't stress this enough, if you loved 'BvS' and 'Man of Steel', that's totally OK. I actually envy anybody who loves 'BvS', because woooo boy, I was livid after watching it. I actually wanted to say out loud in the theater 'Are you kiddin' me?' at that whole 'Martha' moment (I know what that scene was trying to do, but its execution was ass). Oh, don't think I don't know about the extended cut, the 'superior version of BvS'. Yeah, I like that movie even less. That 'superior version' didn't fix any of its problems, just added to it.
I know I can be a windbag at times, so I won't go into detail about why I hated these movies. I have a list. No, it's not about the 'old vs. new' or the 'this isn't your father's Superman' and that kinda crap. The problem I have with Snyder's Superman is that these movies didn't make me care about him, or even root for him. It's a problem I've had with whatever Snyder movie I've seen. You can argue that this movie's a 'deconstruction of a superhero movie', I've seen people defend the Snyder movies with this, but that doesn't work when you don't even bother building something up to begin with. And you definitely don't do that in a movie that's suppose to be the start of a new DC movie universe. Save that for the sequel. Not that a darker take of Superman CAN'T work. Hell, this wasn't even meant to be a dark movie. I don't mind a different take as long as the payoff feels worth it. And it didn't here. These movies are just not pleasant to watch, and I'm not taking about the sheer lack of color. Always dour and depressing for no real reason, all cuz of Synder's nihilistic take, and him keep hammering the message about Supes being compared to God, and all that jazz. Yeah, STOP COMPARING SUPERMAN TO JESUS ALREADY! Now I'd be totally remised in saying that there isn't anything I did like about either movie. There are some wholesome moments, like with Lois and Clark kissing in the tub in 'BvS', but moments like that are so few and far between.
As more films from the DCEU rolled out in their massive rush to catch up to Marvel and to the MCU, we've gotten not-so-good movies, to decent and OK ones. Then we got 'Blue Beetle', and I'm proud to say it's best thing to have come out of the DCEU. Needless to say, I couldn't take neither Batman or Superman seriously for a while after 'BvS'. But after watching 'Captain America: Civil War' in theaters, I was shopping at my local Target and bought 'Batman and Superman: World's Finest. If I had a choice to watch 'BvS' or 'World's Finest, guess which one I'll pick a thousand times. I'll let you take a guess. And of course I was watching the CW DC shows that aired for a while since 2013-ish, and I was really into those, 'Supergirl' included. That's when I was introduced to Tyler Hoechlin's Superman. Stopped watching those shows around 2018, cuz they just got boring and repetitive, so I didn't see 'Superman & Lois' when it was on. A friend of mine was when she was staying at our house, so I did catch clips of it. And boy, the clips I saw that echoed the cover for 'Action Comics #1', green car and all... yeah, Tyler Hoechlin WAS Superman. I do have MAX, maybe I'll check that show out someday.
A little late to the game, but sometime in 2023 I watched 'My Adventures with Superman', and I was hooked immediately! This show embodied how Superman is, and had a great way of showing it. 'Course we had the usual 'justice warriors' that tried to 'fix' Lois and Jimmy's looks for that show. They wonder why they're undatable. But yeah, I was able to finally watch 'MAWS' in its entirety on MAX as of last month of this journal's post. I absolutely LOVE Supergirl in this show. YES! SHE'S MY WAIFU! Her and Lois of this show! XD If they're doing a season 3, count me in. I really dug how they made the villains' powers of Kryptonian origin, and made it make sense. Along with it, and just finished it as of last week at this journal's post, I watched the 90s animated series of Superman on MAX. Boy did I miss out on this show as a kid, though the last episode is bittersweet. Along with that, I decided to watch the 1978 Superman movie on MAX for this first time in well over 24 years. A product of its time that still really holds up; from scenes to imagery, and the music from John Williams is still fire. Saw the sequel from 1981 while I was at it. The movie was just... OK to me; it got boring in places. That's when I learned about the behind the scene tumult that went on, and the 'Donner cut of Superman 2'. Boy, I thought WB's constant stream of making bad decision after bad decision when it comes to comic book movies stemmed since 'Batman Returns', but boy, it started much earlier than that.
With all that said, DC and WB are starting fresh with the new Superman movie for 2025 with James Gunn at the helm in making a new DC cinematic universe. And as someone who's loved the MCU since the start, and as someone who's loved both Marvel and DC since I was little kid, I wanna see both of them make awesome movies. And I'm getting really excited in seeing David Corenswet as Supes, cuz this one ACTUALLY emotes. I can't stress this enough, Henry Cavill CAN act. So many people blame the movie's failure just by that, but no. It's just that movies didn't allow him to be Superman.
But of course we can't have nice things, cuz these 'SnyderBros'... man all their desperate attempts to shun and put this new movie and James Gunn in a bad light. All sorts of shit online; calling Gunn a racist, Snyder-verse is the 'cure', and all that crap! I could write a book about these dudes. This isn't about wanting a director's 'creative vision' anymore, cuz of course it's all about the 'woke' and 'anti-woke'. Again, these dumbasses wonder why they're gonna die single. Superman is suppose to be the symbol of hope, what humanity can be. Like Captain America is suppose to represent the best traits of America. Though Superman is an alien, he's the most human out of any of us. It's the reason why his stories have been going so strong for decades. Synder's Superman just shows off that even if you have powers, you shouldn't help anybody with it for such selfish reasons. And the SnyderBros think that's what Superman SHOULD be. They think the overpowered Snyder-Superman is this paragon of masculinity, and they think this new Superman that shows him getting hurt, can actually smile and be happy is the polar opposite of what a man SHOULD be. Yeah, like that didn't at all in Snyder's movies. It was a little, but it WAS there. And these SynderBros want more of that kinda thing, to restore the Snyderverse. All this is because of this hypothetical movie these guys made up in their heads; one that comes off like a really bad fanfic, and woulda been changed anyway by the higherups. And I tell you what, I'm glad THAT universe ain't coming back. Snyder wants no part of it, neither does any of the other actors. I still refuse to see the Snyder cut of 'Justice League', cuz I refuse to watch something brought about by such disgusting behavior thanks to these assholes! Snyder's influence is finally dead, and hopefully WB and DC can finally pull their heads out of their asses for this new DC Universe of movies. If this movie does fail (instantly dating this journal at the time of posting) we'll probably get nothing BUT Batman movies.
So let's see how this one goes. And Krypto is just a good boy! ^^
That's my thought on the matter. Lemme know down below what's your favorite Superman; movie, show, or comic.
Thanks for your time ^^
2006 woulda been my first big screen experience with Supes when 'Superman Returns' came out.
I'm much calmer now.
Posted 3 months agoSorry for my little temper tantrum earlier.
Went out for a walk, had a great meal, and I'm much calmer now.
No, I'm not gonna leave FA just for this. C'mon. I'm too legit to quit. It's too much of a hassle going out to get a 'REAL JOB', cuz I don't wanna have to interact with people, especially if they're crazy/stupid XD.
Nah, I enjoy drawing, and I enjoy drawing for FA too much.
If I left FA now after over 16 years here, I'm just letting myself down.
I'm just someone who likes to be understood when I take on a commission, and I don't wanna have to repeat myself, or leaving questions unanswered. And yea, I admit I do have a temper. So much for 'anger management' back in the day. I tend NOT to think rationally or reasonably when I'm angry or upset. Now ya know why.
I don't wanna give excuses, and regardless of that crap, I just wanna say I'm sorry.

I need to vent
Posted 3 months agoYou know, I like to think I give the simplest of instructions.
Whenever somebody comes to commission me, you get me hyped up, raring to go draw this out, then you pull the rug out from under me saying 'I can pay like... two months from now.'
Guys, I'm far more understanding when you tell me AT THE START that you can't pay me till whenever. Or better yet, don't come to me at all till you have the money to pay me! It ain't hard, people! All this does is piss me off! But I'm not THAT kind of an asshole, so I won't do a tax charge for 'wasting my time'
But why am I bothering saying this? Nobody cares. You didn't give a shit about the last journal I posted, except for one. I don't get nearly as many comments anymore for my art. So it just feels like I'm just wasting my time here!
But I'm not gonna be that whiny douchebag and quit FA just because of one bad day, considering I've been in a bad mood since last night because of this. Cuz of that I may have just fucked over a friendship with them after years, cuz I got so angry.
My pride won't allow me to stoop to that level of bullshit.
I'm not looking for sympathy, nor do I expect anyone to give a shit. I just don't care anymore.

Posted 3 months agoWorkin' on new art, that includes B.B.
But I'm having writer's block on a pic for B.B. that's a boxer's introduction announcement.
If anybody has an ideas for that, write 'em out in the comments below, I'll give ya a shout out when I eventually post that pic.

Of Digimons and Movies
Posted 3 months agoDigimon! Digital Monsters!
We know 'em. We love 'em. We were all kids in the 90s and early 2000s watching it. And I know I wasn't the only one excited to know a Digimon movie was coming out. 'Course what we didn't know going to watch it was that this 'movie' was three different movies spliced together. And back in 1999, I rented a VHS of that first lil' 30 minute Digimon movie. For those who don't know, that served as a little backdoor pilot at a film festival, coming out the day before 'Digimon Adventure' started airing in Japan.
Still, regardless of the hokey English dub and kinda crazily edited pace, I still enjoy the movie. And I stand by in saying the 2nd part, 'Our War Game', is the best part of the movie. While I have grievances about the 3rd part, 'Hurricane Touchdown' (God, why that title? XD)... I know I'm gonna catch flack for this, and I said this in another journal years and years ago, but I actually commend the English version for their edits of 'Hurricane Touchdown'
This was like, 10 years or so ago, I was able to catch the original version of 'Hurricane Touchdown', and boy, the original makes even less sense than English version. I mean I do get it with the original kids getting taken, turned back into kids, but the way it was resolved at the end. Yeah, you could've taken out that whole plot, and it really wouldn't change a thing. 'Hurricane Touchdown' is slow, but not without merit. Again, I saw this a decade ago, so my opinions may change.
Yeah, reason why I'm ramblin' on about this, cuz I JUST NOW leanred of 'Digimon: The Movies', being a redub with returning English casts. They say that this 'fixes' the problems that 'Hurricane Touchdown' had with the English version. Still won't change the fact that Seraphimon and Magnadramon were only in the damn movie for less than 10 seconds!
Not sure if I'll get this. I do have a BluRay, but eh. As Kilokahn once said; 'Someday when I have a spare nanosecond perhaps. Someday.' Afterall, I've had the DVD for 'Red Ranger Isekai for over 2 weeks, and I STILL haven't gotten 'round to watching it yet! XD
But yeah, lemme know if you got this. ^^

Of Irons and Hearts
Posted 4 months agoHere we go yet again, ladies and germs. A new trailer from Marvel Television dropped yesterday at the time of this journal's post, and the terminally online incels and delusional grifters have picked their new 'culture war' spawning ground. And if I've said this once, I've said it more than once; you can make a drinking game with the predictable crap they'll spout off in the comments on anything that isn't; male, white and straight. And once again, these clowns really don't know what; feminism, Mary Sue, and woke actually mean. Safe to say they've made this their entire personality with all their rage bait? You be the judge. Hell, it's amazing nobody's written a book about 'em yet.
I'm talking about the new 'Ironheart' series coming to Disney+ this June.
Now I've periodically said I ain't much of a comic reader, but I've heard stories about Riri Williams' early tenure when her books started coming out, and she wasn't that well liked. I still have paperbacks of 'The Champions' with Riri in them, and I dug here there. But it's as I've said many times before, I judge characters when I see them in the movies. Again, from a non-comic purist, I like Hank Pym way better in the movies than in the olden comics. And if I like a character, and I wanna see more of that character, if I do see them, then that's the icing on the cake for me. Been that way since 'Iron Man' back in 2008, and Riri Williams/Iron Heart ain't no different.
These nutbags complained that Riri's character wasn't necessary, and was 'shoehorned in'. Oh, really? The entire plot for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' was around this character. Ryan Coogler found a way to introduce her and her smarts in a groovy way for the movie. 'A character nobody cares about that costarred in a movie nobody liked.' Why do these assholes think they can speak for others just cuz of their personal beef with a movie? It's really baffling to me. 'She appeared in one movie and getting a Disney+ show that half the audience who watched the movie won’t even watch this show.' They've said this crap ever since 'Iron Man' so often I can't even give these complainers the benefit of the doubt. I hesitate to call them 'psychics', cuz they'd make the horrible con artists pretending to be psychics look altruistic. Just like they've doubled down when 'Captain America: Brave New World' and 'Thunderbolts*' came out and were successful saying that no one went and saw either movie. They'll never admit when they're wrong, they'll lose all the griftin' money ^^
'Cant believe this was filmed 3 years ago and only is now coming out Which means it’s probably not any good. Hopefully it is, but more often than not if it’s taking something 3 years to release it’s because there was no confidence in it.' Oooooooor.... they took their time to polish it, especially when it comes to the SFX and CG that they constantly complain about. I mean 'Wakanda Forever came out in November 2022, the series was announced like mid-2023, and this trailer just came out mid May 2025. A lot can happen within 3 years. Movies ain't written, produced, filmed and release in a week, dudes. Hell, the recent writer's strike was also a factor, yet these morons never bring that up. We were gonna get an Avengers movie with Kang, but the circumstances with Johnathan Majors made them change up their plans. This shit has been going on for years, plans will be made, and plans will change, and they find ways around it. So, your argument is baseless.
The fact that they’re releasing the first trailer this close to the release just shows that even Disney themselves don’t like this show'. 'Daredevil Born Again' and 'Skeleton Crew' went through the same things, sooooooooo.... Not to mention the trailer for season 3 of Squid Game came out last week, and that's coming out 'round the same time as this show in June. Yeah, your attempt to desperately make this show worse than it might be is pretty moot.
'This whole trailer is nothing but other people telling her how amazing and powerful she is, isn't that usually a telltale sign of really bad writing?' Amazing how you can build up an entire movie/show in your head from a minute-long trailer. The marketing tool used to quickly exposit information about a project's main characters for a trailer? And you're complaining that this trailer is just doing that? This is the same horseshit these dumbasses have spouted off when it comes to the characters from the Disney+ shows appearing in the recent movies; confidentially saying that nobody ever watched those shows to see their backstories, yet when those characters give off quick summations of how they got their powers to those who haven't watched their shows, they'll bitch that it's 'not enough'. They'll complain about 'too much unnecessary exposition', yet still crave it. Don't expect the movies to constantly hold your hand if you're not willing to hold their hand back.
Of course the whole 'Mary Sue' argument with Riri getting out of the elevator in the trailer. I can't wait to see these jackasses complain about the new Supergirl movie coming next year.
'They should've given the kid from Iron Man 3 his own show. He had more character and depth than Riri did in 'Wakanda Forever'' Holy shit.... *sighs heavily* Y'all should know my stance when it comes to Iron Man 3, hell I don't even remember that kid's name. He wasn't even a main character, and whole schtick was that he hung out with Tony for a bit in a single movie and then never showed up again. He didn't even talk about wanting to be a hero himself in that movie. And you're telling me Riri didn't have character in 'Wakanda Forever'? God I hope those people who wrote that aren't aspiring writers, cuz their critical thinking skills... oh boy~ But let's face it, we all know why you'd want the 'Iron Man 3' kid. Cuz he's a white male, the incels' favorite gender. ^^
'The character will not have any significant development; its main purpose is solely to pander.' I'm not Asian, yet I loved 'Shang-Chi'. I'm not Mexican, yet I loved 'Blue Beetle'. I've loved almost all the MCU films and shows, yet a good majority of their heroes are white, and I love all those characters. By your logic, all those characters pander to you, cuz you're white. I didn't watch the two Black Panther movies simply because of the mostly black cast. All this is coming from a biracial dude, whose main Persona here on FA is a thicc-er-than-a-snicker dark-skinned Futanari chick. Did I make that character to pander to those like me?? No, it's cuz I wanted to. And plus, Chasey ain't gonna be the only human I'll have here, and I'll have a variety of skin colors. These people need to know what the word 'pander' really means, cuz they shouldn't get their knowledge from 'South Park's Pandervrese'.
'Does anybody even care about Ironheart enough to even want an Ironheart show? You couldn’t give any other character a show?' Dude, you can say that with any damn show. Apparently, her comics sold really well and she has been in over 160 comics to date, so obviously people care. And because I was introduced to her in 'Wakanda Forever', and liked her character, yeah, I do wanna see more of her. Nobody cared about the Guardians of the Galaxy until their first movie was made. Now you wouldn't question the popularity of the Guardians. So stop pretending like people's ignorance toward a character is an excuse to ignore the character, because nobody knows ANY character (Marvel, DC, or literally anything else) until they actually see the character. Can't wait till trailers of 'Wonder-Man' drops so we can go through this whole rigmarole all over again. Yeah, I didn't even know about the character's existence till I bought an Avengers encyclopedia 10 years ago. If Marvel Studios haven proven anything in well over 10 years, is that they'll take a character you've never heard of, and give them their time to shine.
Speaking of that, 'This series shoulda been about War Machine. This just proves that War Machine as a character was done dirty in the MCU'. War Machine has been in 7 movies and (unfortunately) 'Secret Invasion'. More than a dammed decade of being in the MCU. How exactly has he been 'done dirty'. No, Cyclops has been done dirty in the Fox X-Men movies, and I can't wait to see him in 'Avengers: Doomsday'. If they give him the treatment like they did in 'Deadpool and Wolverine', then count me firmly on board. BTW, 'Armor Wars' is still gonna be a thing. Like I said before, this crap takes time to develop. Took years to get a good Deadpool movie, look where it's at now. Took years to finally get SOMETHING about Gambit in a movie, look where he is now. Oh yeah, Gambit's gonna be in 'Avenger's Doomsday'. 'Disney: let's shelf a beloved and established black character for this forced inclusion hire who exists simply because she fits the program.' Please define what the hell 'forced inclusion' actually means.
'Quick reminder that Stan Lee never worked on her character. This is just propaganda.' Stan Lee made Black Panther, you gonna tell me that's 'propaganda'? Or are you once again implying that if anyone creates a character that isn't white some sort of propaganda. Learn what the hell propaganda actually is, dumbass!
'This should have come before Wakanda Forever.'.... are you serious?
And like with 'Black Panther' and 'Captain America: Brave New World', black main character = rap song in the trailer. Do I even to explain again why that criticism is so friggin' stupid?
'I like how Ryan Coogler's name is all over this' Well, he wrote and direct 'Wakanda Forever', wrote Riri's character, soooooooo..... Why is this something to be worried about?
Once again, these jackasses let certain messages go way over their heads and make whatever out to be something that it isn't, like the whole 'making something iconic' part in the trailer. After seeing the trailer, no I didn't see anything 'Mary Sue', it's Riri showing off her smarts to get out of a situation, and showing that she needs to take care of a threat. And no, this trailer ain't about 'people telling her how amazing and powerful she is'. Jesus Christ, common sense really is dead to these assholes.
'Nobody's gonna watch this. Nobody watched any of the other shows or movies, cuz it peaked after 'Endgame.' I love how these morons constantly think nobody else watched any of the other shows cuz they didn't. They just cannot accept the reality that people, like me, have watched/do watch, and do love these other shows and movies. Welp, let 'em be them. Ya can't fix stupid.
My thoughts about this show coming up. As usual, I'm gonna wait to all episodes are up so I can properly stream it like I did with Daredevil. And damn that suit is fire. I do hope we see the pink, black, and gold suit in the finale tho ^^
So that's all I have to say about these. Long as these wastes-of-oxygen continue their verbal diarrhea about the crap they constantly misunderstand with such willful ignorance in their grifting, I'm talk about it.
Thanks for your time. ^^

Transformer Toy Wishlist: Electric Boogaloo
Posted 4 months agoWhat's happenin', Auto-bros and Decepti-gals? ^^ Y'know, I made a list like this around 5 to 6 years ago, and man, lots of boxes were checked off since then. I've gotten lots of modern updated figures of some of my favorite characters. So naturally, I can't help but want some more. Especially with so much cool stuff coming out within the next coming months. And by that, I mean some really unexpected stuff this month alone (at the time of this journal's post) I mean, not only did I get some of the Wave 2 stuff from Age of the Primes that were suppose to come out this October... but I JUST received the Haslab Omega Prime (which I happily backed) just this week (again, at the time of this journal's post) For those in England, you'll get this sooner than expected in the coming months. Us in the U.S. and Canada, boy we eatin' good now. XD And lemme tell y'all, whoever else backed this, you WON'T be disappointed. ^^
So we got two of the Constructicons, and two of the Arielbots this year. Vortex had just unexpectedly showed up. With more stuff Combiner-wise a-comin', I'm stoked. On that subject, with 3 of the Stunticons we have so far, I'd love to see the Combiner characters in their G2 decos. 'Course they'd HAVE to have figured out the 'Gold Plastic Syndrome' problem by now, right? I'd hate to see somebody slowly and carefully transform a new version of G2 Slingshot. And if they ever resume the Shattered Glass line, I'd love to see the Shattered Glass Constructicons ^^
Coming back to the Combaticons, since we just got the Omega Prime, I wanna see them, the 'Commandos' as they're called, in their RID 2001 deco. It'd be a crime to NOT have Ruination. We're getting Skybyte this summer (maybe sooner), let's get all the other characters. X-Brawn, Prowl, most especially the Trainbots with Railracer. We definitely need an updated Velocitron Speedia 5000 Scourge, bumped up to Commander class to better scale with the Haslab RID 2001 Optimus.
Speakin' of Commander Class, when 2027 come around, it'll be the 20th anniversary of the '07 movie. Man, I'm old. XD But yeah, they should consider doign remolds of the '07 movie Autobots and Decepticons, unless they reissue them all, and definitely not that I love the Studio Series figures already. Oh no, I'd just like a retooling of movie Jazz and Ironhide, and especially Optimus. Bump him to Commander class, with that trailer. C'mon, y'all can't tell me the recent SS'86 Optimus didn't show us you can make a trailer work. XD
Of Commander Classes; Broadside and RID 2001 Megatron/Galvatron would greatly fit into that bill. And we gotta have RID 2001 Megs to go with the Haslab Omega Prime here sooner than later.
Speakin' of Anniversaries, next year's the 40th anniversary of the animated movie, and we've gotten better upated figures with better paintjobs; Galvatron, Blaster, and the upcoming Perceptor. Rumors of '86 Soundwave and Astrotrain are in the air, I just hope we get a much better Ravage figure. I just want '86 movie figs that don't use clear plastic; Ironhide, Prowl and Ratchet to name a few. We most definitely need one for '86 Hot Rod. Good lord, I'm too afraid to transform it now cuz the back part is translucent blue plastic. I'm afraid it'll just snap, that's why I bought two of them. One to keep in car mode.
While we're on the subject of anniversaries, next year will be the 30th for 'Beast Wars.'... SO GIVE US THE TRANSMETAL CHARACTERS ALREADY! We're getting Quickstrike finally, so I'm pleased about that. It's a shame they cancelled the comic run a few years back. From that, I WANT toys for my gals Nyx and Skold. May be a pipe dream, but a modern toy of Cybershark is a definite want. Since we're getting more Beast Wars II/Neo, with an Age of the Primes Big Convoy coming, I really want a modern toy of Claw Jaw/Scubba. Modern figures of the Seacons, with their BWII decos would be awesome, cuz their Combiner War toys were chunks of crap! And if anybody's seen that Transformers/Naruto collab figures, they can do a remold/repaint of Diver with that Genbu toy super easily ^^
On that subject, the recent Transformer collaboration toys have been hittin' it outta the park these recent years, and I'm definitely getting the one for 'Sonic the Hedgehog' and 'Hot Wheels'. But what other ones would go well with it. I'm skipping the NFL one, cuz I've never been into football. 'A-Team' probably? I would really love to see them do a figure of the Time Machine Train from 'Back to the Future', since that's turned 40 this year Since we're getting figures from 'Hearts of Steel', that'd be perfect.
And while the 'Hearts of Steel' figures are enticing me, I most definitely WANT figures from 'The War Within'. 'War Within' Optimus and Megatron? Will buy them, no questions asked. ^^
I do have the Legacy toy of Cyberverse Chromia, and her DNA Design kit is a 'will buy', but man, they've gotta step up their game for certain ones. We still need one for Legacy Prime Arcee. Every rags on that toy, except me. Do other toys where that modl better? To each their own, sure. We gotta have a kit for her legs, since everyone complains about them. Why don't we have upgrade kits for the Kingdrom Tracks/Road Rage mold? Why isn't there more hate on those figures, cuz they are a nightmare to transform! And how come there's not DNA Design upgrades for Kingdom Megatron and Rhinox!?!?! We still don't have proper versions of Rhinox's guns!
Other than that, and since I just finished watching the latest season of 'Jurassic World: Chaos Theory' and 'Jurassic World: Dominion', a new toy of the Dinobot Slash would be rad ^^
Anything y'all want, lemme know in the comments down below
Thanks for your time. ^^

Of Fantastic and Fours
Posted 5 months ago'Say that again' yadda yadda.
Anyhoo, the latest trailer for 'Fantastic Four; First Steps' just dropped, and I'm getting more and more excited for this, y'all. Only thing bumming me out is that my dad ain't around to see it. He's a big Fanastic Four fan, and I'm sure he woulda loved this. So I'll enjoy it for the both of us when the movie comes out.
But yeah, let's address the silver elephant in the room, cuz I can already smell the terminally online nutbags typing away how they feel about the new female Silver Surfer. I'll give ya a hint what their favorite word is, it rhymes with 'coke' Don't do drugs, kids. I don't even drink coke. And yet, how ironic that the ones that complain about this sorta thing has; never picked up a comic in their lives and/or doesn't do the slightest bit of research. No, they didn't 'genderswap' Silver Surfer, as you're clamoring on about. This gal is Shalla-Bal, Norrin Radd's (the original Silver Surfer's) love interest, who did become the Surfer herself in various comic runs. And having just seen the '98 Silver Surfer cartoon series for the first time in over 25 years a couple months ago, after learning about the casting for her, I went, "oooooooooh~" Besides, we've already had an awesome Silver Surfer in the past; played by Doug Jones and voiced by Larry Fishburne. This is givin' me something new from the past Fox movies. Plus, the look of her... hubba hubba.
So yeah, I'm ready for this. And in the coming months I'll be watching the past Fantastic Four movies, see how they hold up and give my thoughts on them. Yes... even 'Fant4stic', hooo boy.
Plus, Galactus jaywalking through New York... LOL
Thanks for your time. ^^

Sentai FIRSTS
Posted 6 months agoStarting off strong with the new Sentai No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. First Sentai to have an English phrase in its title. And that got me thinking; since this is the 50th anniversary of Sentai, that’s 50 years of firsts.
1) Himitsu Sentai Goranger: Well… first everything. Too many to list XD First/last Sentai to have over 90 episodes.
2) J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai: First White Ranger. First/last Sentai to have its shortest season.
3) Battle Fever J: First Sentai to have mouths in the helmet designs. First Sentai to be produced alongside Marvel. Aaaaaannnnnd~ fist Sentai Mecha, baby! ^^
4) Denshi Sentai Denziman: First Sentai to have a Henshin Device. First Sentai to have a transforming robot.
5) Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan: First Sentai to have just 3 members and stick to it. First combining robot in Sentai.
6) Dai Sentai Goggle-V: First Black Ranger in Sentai. First series to have the title announced at the beginning of the opening credits.
7) Kagaku Sentai Dynaman: First Sentai to use spandex. Don’t let Dr. K hear that XD
8) Chodenshi Bioman: First Sentai to have two ladies on the team. Would’ve been the fist Sentai to be adapted into Power Rangers.
9) Dengeki Sentai Changeman: This is the first season to have a female White Ranger and a Pink Ranger in the core team. This would not occur again until Ninninger thirty years later. This is also the only season to have two females in the main five without a Yellow Ranger.
10) Choshinsei Flashman: First Sentai series to have a second robo, Great Titan. The last Sentai to not have the word ‘Sentai’ in its title.

20) Gekisou Sentai Carranger: First Sentai I’ve ever watched. ^^ This show would’ve also been the last Sentai. 48) Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger: First purple Sixth Ranger.
49) No.1 Sentai Gozyuger: Yeah yeah yeah, with Lupinranger and Patranger, this does ‘officially’ makes Goyuger the 50th Sentai. First Black female Ranger on the core team. First red wolf Ranger. Frist Sentai to have a non-red Tyranno-themed Ranger. First Sentai to do a Battle Royale thing. First Sentai where the Henshin device uses rings. First Sentai where the Henshin Devices not only becomes the Rangers’ sidearms, but also grows to be the main Mecha.

About Shrek 5
Posted 6 months agoLike clockwork, everybody's making a big nothing-burger out of nothing once again.
Well Shrek 5 is a-comin', caught the teaser. And of course, everybody's bitching about the designs. The hell's wrong with it? And what did you expect? It's been over 15 years. You don't expect an animation studio to improve? Of course, these same jackasses try to 'fix' the look.
Only thing bumming me out is waiting till Christmas 2026!!!
Jeez!
But... I'm nothing if not patient.

Of MCU and manbabies
Posted 6 months agoHo boy! Imagine if DC movies were the more successful and these manbabies complain this much about 'em? I mean, we are gonna get a Supergirl movie next year, and golly-gee, I can't wait to hear about 'woke'.
Say what you want about the MCU; same kinda movie, same kinda acting, same kinda pacing. To each their own, love 'em or hate 'em, but I'm sorry, I just can't agree with you with any of that.
Each movie has something to offer them. Again, not all of them are for everybody. I said it before, and I'll say it again, Captain America Brave New World was genuinely awesome for me. And I wanna see it again. I know the people complaining are the minority, but unfortunately, that minority doesn't know when to shut the hell up at times, and their rambling complaints are often times lies, cuz those grifters wanna fool their gullible audience for money.
And these same people complain about the MCU's interconnection. Dude, that's what they said they wanted to do since day 1, why do you keep complaining about this? And how come I don't see these complaints with the myriad of cartoons out there???? You want more Marvel standalone movies? Dudes, you can just go watch watch the early movies. Some are better than others, but you can still watch 'em.
And just these unreasonable standards and crazy expectations they have, like they expect 'Endgame' over and over. Not everything SHOULD, otherwise, it will definitely get boring. If I had a $100 every time one of these yahoos say 'Drop the MCU' since 2012, I swear. They talk about superhero movie fatigue, how about horror movie fatigue, since there's a bunch of them out. Or how about romcoms? Those gettin' stale yet? Yeah, I have fatigue from listening to these babies talk about 'superhero fatigue'. Here's an idea, you can just STOP WATCHING THEM. I swear, their complaining gives off the impression their being forced/obligated to. You can just NOT watch them. Or do you do it just to hate-watch? Either way, stop torturing yourselves.
Regardless, I'm not gonna persuade you anymore than you're gonna persuade me to not watch any of them. I'm gonna keep watching them, cuz they interest me. Cuz yeah, I'm a friggin' nerd that loves this shit.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

Of Captain Americas and Brave New Worlds XD
Posted 7 months agoWhat up, Squad!
So yesterday (at the time of this journal’s posting), I caught ‘Captain America: Brave New World’
Boy I can’t wait to see the numerous vids on my recommendation list on YouTube about the grifters’ take on it; ‘How it’s Woke’, ‘How it’s a disaster’, ‘How the MCU is going extinct’, the same song and dance we’ve all heard so many times before I’m surprised nobody’s made a drinking game out of it. DISCLAIMER: PLEASE DON’T ACTUALLY MAKE A DRINKING GAME OUT OF IT. EVEN IF YOU’RE USING WATER/JUICE THERE’S SIMPLY TOO MUCH AND YOU’LL PROBABLY DIE. And I’ve always said this; go out a see things for yourself and make your own judgement, and don’t listen to the incels, racists, and grifters. Shoot, you don’t even have to take my word for it. I always say your mileage may vary, and indeed, some like it, some don’t. You can’t please everybody. And y’all should know me by now, I never go into ANY movie wanting to love/hate it. I just wanna have a good time watching something, and if the movie makes me wanna see it more than once and get it on DVD, then that’s enough for me
So what did I think of it? Well without going into Spoiler territory… I felt it was very solid. The emotions are there, as well as motivations for characters. Some have stated that some new characters weren’t integral to the story, even tho they’ve made a great impression on me and makes me wanna see more of ‘em. Some say it’s exposition-heavy, tho not really. These are the same idiots that’ll spout out that ‘nothing is ever explained’, wanting their hand to be held. Some have stated the movie’s boring. Nothing felt bogged down or dragged on to me, and I wasn’t bored one bit. I’m glad they brought characters back for this, and that made it a cohesive story. Now there were reshoots during production, and some have stated that they can spot differences. I haven’t, but I’m sure I’ll spot something little things while rewatching it. Or I’m just stupid, don’t rule that out yet. Sam Wilson IS Captain America, and this movie shows it. You got a problem with that and wanna say ‘He’s not MY Captain America!’? Last time I checked, you never owned the character, my dude. I really didn’t have any complaints. Again, I’m sure I might find something upon rewatching. That said, my only real complaint so far when watching it was a costume change, but that’s just a nitpick.
So yeah, like I said, your mileage may vary, but I say go check it out. If you like it, cool. If you don’t, cool. Just don’t make a 6 HOUR YouTube vid nitpicking every single mistake there was. I felt this movie was a very solid watch, and worthy of me of getting on DVD ^^
That’s my two cents on the matter. Thanks for your time. ^^
