RIP Chicago
General | Posted 3 years agoNOT THE CITY!!!! Good Lord! 'Less there was a Decepticon attack I didn't know about.
No, I mean my brother's dog, Chicago. Tumor on the liver.
But it's OK, she's with her big sister, and my brother's coping.
Still, I wanna honor her memory with the revamped Cutie, with the revamping Cephir, into 'Cephir the Cutie, a big, pink wolf. energetic and cheerful like Chicago was. ^^

General | Posted 3 years agoYou know why I charge extra when it comes to characters with bigger tits, cocks, or whatever? Fine I'll just get it out in the open! Cuz in the beginning when I started doing commissions, I didn't feel like I was making enough.
Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm just too damn stupid not giving out better examples. But I do try to give out best examples as I can to gauge the final price. And when you have 2 chars that are utterly massive, I have to fit it all on the motherfuckin' page, the biggest paper I can possibly scan!!
So if you think I'm cheating you out, no, that's the furthest from the truth, but I am NOT gonna run on nickels and dimes!
But know when I do, I always TRY to give y'all the bang for your buck!
Hell, this is why I email clients WIPs now, to avoid certain shitty things from happening.
So, yeah, I'm just pissed off! Not a good start to my Thanksgiving.

Right, so let's get this little segment off my chest, cuz we all know some idiot or group of idiots are gonna say something similar to this. I think I'm calling this a sorta skepticism in anticipation of someone saying something stupid that makes my eyes roll. Something that Geeks+Gamers will probably say is a 'bait and switch' thing, unironically butchering it's meaning and overusing it. Something like:
"BLACK PANTHER 2 IS NOTHING BUT 'WOKE', CAPITALIZING ON CHADWICK BOSEMAN'S DEATH JUST TO PUT WHAMEN OF COLOR IN HIGHER POSITIONS FOR THEIR AGENDAS, WHICH THE FIRST BLACK PANTHER WAS ALREADY WOKE JUST FOR HAVING A MOSTLY BLACK CAST! WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE!"
C'mon, we all know somebody is gonna say something similar to this.
On that note, Chadwick, my king, your legacy lives on, bro. I ain't gonna lie, for any emotional peeps out there, you may shed some tears in the beginning. My dad saw this yesterday, and I know he was sheddin' tears. I almost did, and I never cry during 'Titanic'. It's heartbreaking and heartwarming how they did this throughout. And it shows the actions-having-consequences causality effects throughout this movie.
I really liked how each character's arcs evolve and change, especially Shuri, and how she takes up the mantle. That said, there was this thing some weeks prior to release that speculate Shuri not becoming the new Black Panther. Uuumm... what? Why would you think...? Why did you ever think Shuri wasn't gonna become the new Black Panther. Happened in the comics. Hell, I knew Shuri was gonna take up the mantle at some point.... that was when I thought they were gonna make a 3-movie ditty with Chadwick... but still!
My dad's a big Namor fan, and boy howdy, Namor was a beast in this movie. They changed up his origins, and honestly, I'm glad for it. Much as I like Atlantis, it's been done to death. And Aquaman suits Atlantis more. Wings on the ankles tho... man that's gotta feel weird.
I really liked Riri Williams in this, and I can't wait to see her in Ironheart comin' to Disney+. I really wanna see how they make her gold, black and fuchsia suit. And of course, the same idiots will complain about her being a 'Mary Sue' just for being a rather brilliant inventor, and will jizz themselves if it were a dude. But that's neither here nor there. ^^
I FRIGGIN' LOVE THE MIDNIGHT ANGEL SUITS!!! Man, I can't to get this movie's art book! ^^
So yeah, this movie is definitely emotional, and will most definitely hit you right in the feels. So yeah, your mileage may vary, but go check this movie out. ^^
Thanks for your time. ^^

Some Spoilers ahead BTW
Did you know back in the day, I wasn't a fan of the color green. What I mean is that, I wasn't appreciative about the color... until I saw She-Hulk in the 90s Hulk cartoon, right when the first Hulk movie was coming out back in 2003.
She-Hulk's been one of my Marvel 'waifus' since then, and ever since I learned about her Disney+ series comin' out, I just bought up whatever She-Hulk omnibus I could afford XD Stuffs from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and the 2022 series that's come out is fun and worth a read ^^
What do I think of the show? Me I've dug it all the way through. The only boring episode to was was episode 5. Yeah, the show's fun, it knows what it is and it just has fun with it. And it ain't afraid to make fun of the toxic masculinity and incel crybabies. I didn't think She-Hulk was gonna break the 4th Wall via Deadpool like she did in her comics. In fact, Shulkie did that before Deadpool, so yeah it was funny.
And of course, for as long as I can remember, those same crybabies ALWAYS, ALWAYS bitched and whine about how 'EVERY MARVEL THING IS THE SAME THING, IT ALWAYS HAS A BIG BATTLE AT THE END! ALL THE MOVIES ARE THE SAME!!!' These are the same crybabies that whined that Eternals was 'too' different. Pick a side, will ya? But yeah, Shulkie pokes fun at that too.
So yea, It's a lawyer procedural that's not afraid to have fun. For those incels who'll say Jen goes through no arc, watch it again, cuz she does. Oh yea... it's great to see Daredevil again ^^ And I can't wait to see Shulkie in future instalments ^^
So yea, give the show a looksee and judge for yourselves. ^^
Thanks for your time ^^

Of Black Suns and Henshins
General | Posted 3 years agoOnce again, great title XD SPOILERS AHEAD BY THE WAY!
For those who don't know me, I'm a fan of Kamen Rider as much as Super Sentai. I won't go absolutely nuts for anything, but still be a fan nonetheless. And I'm definitely a fan of Kamen Rider Black RX, and its predecessor Kamen Rider Black. ^^
When they announced a reboot of Black, like 3-4ish years ago, I immediately thought; "oh it's gonna be one of those dark reboots that's only made for the grownup fans blah blah blah. That notion will always be childish to me. In the end it always comes down to execution. As time went on, delays from the 'vid' and all that jazz, my interests grew to check this series out on Amazon.
This show is for Kamen Rider's 50th anniversary.... when the show Kamen Rider came out in 1971, and this show just came out in 2022! Why does this always happen with Kamen Rider anniversaries? This happened with Shin Kamen Rider and Kamen Rider ZO in '92/'93 when they came out. And Shin Kamen Rider (the upcoming 2023 movie FYI) is coming next year... 2 years after! I think Fourze's the only Rider series that's actually stuck to an anniversary milestone!
Black Sun and Shin (2023) DO have excuses tho, cuz of Bro-vid. BUT STILL!
Having been able to watch the show now, I liked it better than Kamen Rider Amazons, definitely because I can actually see the damn thing not crazily color-muted out! Interesting premise, not too hard to follow. That being said, it has a share of problems. I did like the show... buuuuut I am a mixed bag with it. I'm not gonna make comparisons to the original series, cuz that's never gonna be fair to me. But what I mean is for those who've watched the original show, you'll notice changes.
In the old show, Gorgom was a cult that's been around for years, so ancient, and they've come about for the birht of their new 'Creation King' as it were. Here, they're a political party fighting for Kaijin rights. The show's definitely gives off X-Men vibes, not a bad thing. But it makes you ask why they have 'High Priests' in this show. Made more sense in the old show, and it woulda made more sense for this show say be it like Monster Musume; co-existence has been around for more than just 50 years, and both kaijins and humans notice something weird with Kaijins after the solar eclipse and then the Creation King's found. Cuz the way they did it in here make much sense.
Some characters were wasted in this, and some characters we feel like we weren't given enough time with them. I won't list it off here, cuz I don't wanna make this long. But I think the biggest drawback for this for me was Kotaro. Don't get me wrong, Hidetoshi Nishijima acted was awesome. Just the character himself was... pretty boring. Again, no comparisons to Kotaro from the old show, and this Kotaro's likeable in his own rights. It's just we needed something more. Just a little extra oomph.
And yeah, I didn't really care much for the ending. It's just felt disjointed to me. And for those who've checked out this show, you may find a reference to a particular victim of police brutality, I ain't gonna mention it here. The kinda crap the whiny fanboys will constantly complain; 'keep politics outta my escapist fantasies!', unironically not realizing their favorite pasttime shows have ALWAYS had elements like this, making me ask everytime; 'What's YOUR definition of politics?'
So... yeah, safe to say I don't think we'll get a follow-up reboot for Kamen Rider Black RX.
All that said, the action is a definite highlight, but it ain't afraid to go gore-galore. The suits and costumes are just top notch, especially how Black Sun's suit evolves to the ascetics we know and love. I definitely liked Aoi in the show, and how she's practically a potential Rider (Gaining a belt somehow).
And definite props to the 1972 flashback scenes with the design department.
Is the show worth a looksee? I always say your mileage may vary, but yea, it IS worth a watch. Just make sure no kids are around. I would definitely give this a 7 outta 10, and would watch it again for the fights. But if you've seen it, what're your thoughts on the show?
I AM definitely looking forward to Shin Kamen Rider when that movie hits in March 2023.... will be waiting patiently for the DVD of it, since I just, y'know, teleport to a local theater in Japan. Be cool if I could tho. XD
Thanks for your time. ^^

Of cons and collaboratives
General | Posted 3 years agoGreat title. But nah, I'm just venting out anger in this.
For any Transformers fans/toy collectors, I bought the 'Collaborative Tonkinator' for $200 from ebay. (I know, overpriced. Couldn't agree more) But I... just wanted it. A week goes buy, turns out the seller forgot. So I asked for a partial refund. Why should I pay full price for his screwup?
I wanted half, but he talked me into $50, I said OK, and said he can give it to me once I got the thing.
I got the item, he gave me the money. Last night I was handling it. And boy I was not impressed with it. And this ain't a bootleg item. And I don't wanna jump to conclusions to call the seller a bootlegger.
So I told him this morning I was thinking about returning it. Yeah, I did open the package, so maybe I'm the asshole on that part. But the dude accused me of conning $50 out of him. I go 'excuse me', after HIS late shipping. So I told him I'll keep it as a reminder to never do business with him ever again.
Yeah, you accuse me of this kinda shit, you better be able to back it up. I was so pissed I thought about reporting him. But I didn't deal with this asshole anymore, so I wanted to vent my frustrations here.
I'm not looking for sympathy points, just wanted to get it off my chest. Cuz I really don't want this kinda resentment on the brain.
And if that guy somehow does have an FA an sees this, kindly fuck off.
Thanks for your time.

Well, finally got a trailer for She-Hulk for Disney+, and coming in August. That'll be a great post-birthday present. ^^
Come to think of it, peridot is my birthstone, and it's green. And Peridot is best gal in 'Steven Universe'. WHAT IS IT WITH ME AND GREEN!?!?! Yeah, till I saw She-Hulk in the Hulk cartoon, I NEVER liked the color green for some reason.
Anyhoo, gettin' off track here.
Yea, loved She-Hulk since I was a kid, and always hoped she appear in the MCU at some point. And lo and behold, we got her. Yea, I'm excited for this and "Ms. Marvel' next month at the time of this journal's entry. BTW, check out 'Moon Knight' if y'all haven't already. ^^ I'll do a dissertation of that later ^^
Haven't seen any incel comments yet, but that don't mean they don't exist. Can't wait for QuarterPounder and Geeks+Gamers' interpretations of this latest trailer.
Anyhoo, some peeps are complaining about the CG, and... yea, in one shot there's some uncanny valley-ish territory going on. But as for the CG itself, I got no qualms it. Let's face it, it's nowhere near as bad that 'Sonic' from that first trailer from 2019. I'm glad Tim Roth's back, and I wouldn't mind a small rematch with Abomination and Hulk, but that's just me ^^ But yea, I'm excited to see Jamila Jamil in this, cuz I love her with the Impractical Jokers in 'The Misery Index'. And I am most definitely curious about the MCU's Frog-Man. That suit looks pretty killer ^^
But yea, check out the trailer for yourself if ya haven't already and let me know down below if you're excited for this as I am ^^

Of Marvels and Marvels
General | Posted 3 years agoOnce again, great title. XD
But yes, trailer for the new 'Ms. Marvel' for Disney+ dropped, and I'm gettin' stoked for it, as I am for 'Moon Knight' this month. ^^
I really think Iman Vellani quite nails the personality of Kamala Khan, and she seems quite stoked for this too ^^
But of course, it wouldn't be that certain part of the Marvel fandom if certain comments from them didn't make me scratch my head in bewilderment of their statements that gets so idiotic, and make me go; "did you think before you typed this out" Don't know why this surprises me anymore, this has been their M.O. for WELL OVER a decade at this point.
Of course there's the racist/incel comments. One that states that Kamala is chubby. I really don't wanna know what your standards for women are if you think that's chubby. And of course there are those that'll state this will destroy culture, whatever the hell that's suppose to mean since those statements are always so vague. But let's not forget my favorite kinda comments from these crybabies, "She was made from woke culture FOR woke culture and she has no purpose but to satisfy the woke culture." blah blah blah. If I had a hundred bucks for every time I heard that crap, I could buy every last one of y'all here on FA breakfast, lunch, and dinner, several times over. And by that dumbass logic, any hero that's a white male is there to satisfy the white-woke culture. Golly gee whiz, it's like representation doesn't matter or something. Seriously, this is miniscule compared to other Marvel films not lead by a white male actor, and these assholes ALWAYS make it out like it's the end of society as we know it. Porbably said the same thing about 'Shang-Chi' when that came out last year. But guess what? I LOVE that movie, and this is coming from a biracial dude. (though apparently, I DO have some Chinese mix in me. Last week I found out there's some Irish in me, but that's neither here or there)
Oh, but let's predict how this show will turn out BASED OFF A TWO MINUTE TRAILER!!! Yeah, she won't go through any struggles at all, no personal growth. She'll be unbeatable from the very start cuz she's a WHAMEN! And these people wonder nerd culture has been frowned upon for years now.
Then there's the comments that really have me baffled. One that I came across, "I just ain't sold on the teenage superhero idea. Teenagers are dumb, selfish and don't understand self-sacrifice." Ummm WHAT??? Does Spider-Man ring any bells? Or the last movie of Spider-Man and all the crap he went through. You must hate Spider-Man then. Nnot just the MCU version but all the teen portrayals and especially his earlier comic days in the 60s/70s. And if you really think ALL teenagers are what you said in all that crap, then, my dude/dudette... I really hope you're a troll, or probably an old person. This is why we have the saying, "OK, BOOMER!"
And then there's this comment, "This looks very Disney Channel-esque, curious to see how people will receive this one and how the tone of this version of Khamala holds up when she'll be sharing screen with the other more serious/matured heroes." Once again, you make judgments from one trailer. And oh yea, she'll look really outta place next to a gun-totting, talking racoon, a teenage humanoid tree and a big green scientist. Dude, it's a story about a fangirl who becomes a superhero. Did you expect something like 'Punisher' on Netflix? Did you expect Spider-Man to be that way since he takes place in high school? And please do not tell me that Marvel's for kids, and that all their movies are the same. If they are for kids, why are adult my age, teens, and much older are enjoying them and continue to watch them? Ms. Marvel being less serious tonally has NOTHING to do with Disney. It's just the way teen heroes are often portrayed in comics. Yeah, lighter stories, but when things need to get serious, it GETS serious.
Sorry to be preachy about this, but this STILL continues to chap my ass!
What about changing her powers? Me, I'm not so up-in-arms about as some are. Maybe they'll mention her latent Inhuman genes, who knows. It's too early to tell. But after the failure of 'Inhumans', I think they wanna get away from that for now. Who knows. IAnd we're getting 'Fantastic 4' in the MCU pretty soon. And I know they wanna differentiate the powers, make them more on the level of Carol Danvers and now, Monica Rambeau, which I understand. And oooooooh boy, how I cannot wait to hear the whiny incel comments for that when the trailer comes out. But tell me, who thinks the song "Please Mr. Postman" from the Marvelettes should play, with Sam Jackson singing, for that trailer? ^^
But here's what I've come to realize about these whiny fanboys from a comment that made me grin ear-to-ear: 'let the trolls whine. Let them rage impotently at the biggest movie and television franchise on planet Earth for choosing to strive for more inclusivity. Look at them seethe about wokeness and chuckle to yourself. Watch them beg for the show to fail and cackle. They've lost the argument. They know it. Don't engage. Just laugh.'
And ya know what?... that's all to true. Their sadness is my pleasure. And that makes me wank off at night. (bursts out laughing) Oh, there's something wrong with me? XD
Regardless of all that crap, I'm gonna check it out and judge for myself. ^^
Random-ass thought
General | Posted 4 years agoSomething that just popped into my head.
Any Star Trek fans here, in particular, 'The Wrath of Khan'? Y'know that scene where that brain-leech critter is in Chekov (Walter Koenig's) head, then decided to get the hell outta there out the ear?
Well it's one of those times in those pre-production/production meetings where you wish you were there, and you'd hear the guy say to his team of crafters sayin'; "OK, team. We're gonna be making a big-ass, blown up version of Walter Koenig's ear."
Cuz you gotta wonder how big was that ear for them to work that leech puppet. It's just funny to me XD
Ever had any random-ass thoughts like that? ^^

V-Day epiphany
General | Posted 4 years agoY'know, even tho I don't have a girlfriend in real life yet, I'm reminded that being with 'that guy and/or girl I'm romantically infatuated with' ain't the only form of love.
Just be with your friends and family, go out, have a bite to eat.
Have a thang of ramen that'll hit the spot. ^^
Just be with whom y'all love ^^
Happy V-Day, guys ^^

Of Batmen and TOO MUCH BATMEN
General | Posted 4 years agoHey, y'all.
Now this isn't a crack on any fans of Batman. Remember, you're not a product. So when I talk about a certain something, I don't bag on you for liking it. This is just I've had on my mind for a couple days now.
What I mean by that, is that I had a crazy dream a couple days ago that I was watching the upcoming Robert Patterson Batman movie. And boy, in that dream, it was the absolute craziest and outright horrible thing I ever saw. Kids getting gunned down in gruesome, gory faction that was celebrated, every single character just being an absolute moron, and Patterson's Batman voice was so weird it makes Bale's Batman voice seem nuanced. Now take that what you will for what that says about me. Maybe I need to seek some help. And I know the movie won't be like in my dream. Definitely no mass child slaughter, I tell ya.
But that isn't to say I haven't been worried about this movie since it was announced. What I mean by that, is just... please make Batman a detective for once in this movie, and for the love of God, DO NOT SHOW THE WAYNES' MURDER AGAIN! We're tired of that! I just don't want it to be a 'been there done that' moment. Especially since after 'Batman V. Superman,' and cuz of that movie I can't take either of those guys seriously anymore.
But it's why I'm excited for certain DC films coming within this and next year. Because I can't be the only one that's annoyed that the market is so oversaturated with Batman, it's made DC just one big punch line. Ya might as well just sell all your other characters to Marvel, since all you care of as of late is Batman. I kid of course. (half-kid anyway)
But yeah, since Nolan's 'Dark Knight' trilogy, DC took it to heart in the wrongest of ways that the brooding nature of Batman will work with everything. Hence what we got with a lot of the 'New 52' And you can just tell whenever you see the 2011 Green Lantern movie that their hearts weren't into it. They don't wanna make anything so outlandish and be embarrassed that they're doing something based off a comic book. Oh no. Let's make everything grounded in reality and super-realistic. Again, I'm being sarcastic with those statements, but you can tell no effort was put into 'Green Lantern', and they wanted to focus on Batman. And it's a shame, cuz we could've had the start ot a DC cinematic universe right there, but they blew it.
Again, I don't hate Batman at all. I do however think they should dial him back a bit. Yeah, I get it, he's relatable. But a lot of reasons why I seem to see cuz, 'he doesn't have powers'. So?! What does not having powers have to do with not being able to relate to or connect with a superhero character. Thor's a god for crying out loud (a humanlike alien with incredible power) and he displays traits and goes through problems that loads of people can relate to. That's why the MCU connects to a wide variety of demographics. With Batman and your recent movies involving Batman's rouges gallery, it just comes off that you wanna appeal to that one certain type of demographic; like the Hot Topic kinda crowd, or the ones that just wanna see the world burn via 'Joker'.
That's why I'm worried this upcoming 'Flash' movie. And since WE HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH BATMAN, we're gonna see Keaton and Affleck Batmen together. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind that at all, just don't make Flash a second banana in his own dang movie!
And just yesterday (at the time of this journal's post) I was at my local comic shop, and I came across a Justice League manga.... (sighs) and it was called, 'Batman and the Justice League' -_- (This is why I say I'm half-kidding about DC giving their other characters away and keeping Batman to themselves.)
And I know I'm not the only one that wants to FINALLY see a 'Batman Beyond' movie! Tell me in the comments.
And if there's Lego fans here, who along with me wants them to finally make the 'Batman Beyond' Batmobile?!
Like I said, dial it back on Batman a bit, fellas. But like I also said, I am excited for the Patterson Batman. Again, I wanted to get this out.
But let me know if you think there's too much Batman in the comments.
Thanks for your time. ^^

My dissertation of 2021. Hello 2022
General | Posted 4 years agoWelp, another year has come and gone. And how did I feel about 2021 as a whole... JUST AS SUCKY AS 2020! Boy, historians ain't gonna look down on the 2020s with any kinda fondness at this rate.
Let’s get the crap out of the way. This year didn’t suck for me on a personal level, but for the rest of America… I think we all know which particular day in January at the start of 2021. And I think I’m more afraid of domestic terrorists now. I’m no fan of Democrats, but boy howdy Republicans and Conservatives this year have proven to be the biggest collection of cultist crybaby dipshits I’ve ever seen. Anti-maskers and Anti-vaxxers have proven over and over and over and over again they can never be trusted to do the right thing, and have become the very definition of assholes and complete scum. Welcome to America, Delta and Omicron Variants!!!
I have an ever-growing ‘Shit List’, and at the top is one Marjorie Taylor Greene. Oh boy, this absolutely evil bitch is so colossally stupid, she makes the dumbest of blondes seem like Einstein. And right on the last day of this year she suggests that we should separate the country's red and blue states. *facepalms* Do I even have to explain why that will NEVER work? Who'm I kidding, she'll just call me a 'communist' for my rebuttal.
What did suck for me personally this year was in September, when I learnt the existence of yellow watermelon. And I don’t know if that was that specifically, but an allergic reaction made my uvula swell up. And I did all kinds of in home treatments, including gargling salt water. But thanks to the swollen uvula, I accidentally swallowed it, and a few hours later, it made me throw up. First time throwing up since I was 11, making me have a full blown panic attack, thinking I had to go to the hospital. Yeah, I tend not to think rationally when angry, or panicking like that. But once I cooled down and took some Benadryl (which I shoulda done in the first place) I was fine the next day.
I had an epiphany throughout all this December that... I hate Christmas decorating. I despise it. This year's Christmas lights gave me so much trouble that everything kept blowing out. So much so that some outlets blew out. So next year I'm do a systemic top to bottom new thing for Christmas. Not inflatables, but if anybody knows any kinda battery-operated decorations, lemme know, I'll be taking notes and planning for next Christmas. ^^
But the biggest thing that disappointed me this year, was what it took to finally get Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie out. I haven’t seen the movie yet… AND I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO WATCH IT! Because I refuse to reward or acknowledge anything achieved by bad behavior. And that’s exactly what these ‘fans’ did; death threats. The Snyder Cut was just a toxic conspiracy theory that’s somehow been triumphantly reframed as a glorious myth. But hey, Zach, you were able to finally do it for your daughter, and I respect you for that. But that’s where my respect ends, because you reminded me why I dislike you as a person. You have that exact mindset as your fanbase; DC movies are for grownups.
So thanks, Warner Bros, you negotiated with terrorists, and who knows what other extreme crap these nutso fanboys will do in the future, and it’ll all be on you.
I’ve witnessed apex stupidity of the Christian fundamentalist group that is ‘Little Light Studios’ and how they cannot research their crap about anime.
Celebs that were lost this year that I love: Larry King, Cloris Leachman, Christopher Plummer, Yaphet Kotto (you probably remember him as Parker from 'Alien'), Willie Garson from Stargate SG1, Jack Angel (G1 Transformer voice actor), Chris Ayres (voice of Freiza), Derrick J Wyatt (an awesome Transformers character designer)
I’m fully vaccinated. And thanks to that, I was finally able to visit my Grandma and the rest of my family up north in Yuba City near Sac, and that really made her week, as well as my coming up there this year at Christmastime. ^^
One of my good friends for to come with me and my family to Las Vegas this summer, and I got to bowl in a sweet arcade at a mall there. Michael Jackson show in Vegas is awesome BTW!
I found through Harry Potter quiz that I’m a Hufflepuff. Gonna be doing a Harry Potter movie marathon at the start of the new year ^^
I had my first movie experience in 17 months since this friggin’ pandemic started back in March, and the first movie I saw right when I landed in Yuba City was that new 'Spirit' movie, and I thought it was fun ^^
Awesome movies I’ve seen: Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eternals, Luca, Encanto, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, A Quiet Place 2, Fast and Furious 9, Godzilla vs. Kong, Space Jam 2, Free Guy, and Bill and Ted: Face the Music.
Awesome movies I’ve seen in 2021 on Netflix: Red Notice, Princess Swap 3, and The Mitchells vs. The Machines.
Awesome shows I’ve seen in 2021 on Netflix: Masters of the Universe: Revelations, the reboot of He-Man: Masters of the Universe, Cowboy Bebop (Despite and regardless all the grumblings of these shows)
Awesome shows I’ve seen in 2021 on Disney+: WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Monsters At Work.
Awesome Anime I’ve seen in 2021: Eden’s Zero, Dragon Maid Season 2, Shin Evangelion.
Worst Netflix shows I've seen in 2021: Transformers War for Cyberton Trilogy - my Primus, I've never been more bored watching anything Transformers. Last chapter, Kingdom, wasn't too bad, only cuz the Maximals were in it, and they proved to be better characters than Prime and his Autobots. Middle chapter, Earthrise, oh boy, I actually yelled at the TV to get to the point.
The other was 'Tollhunter: Rise of the Titans' - That.... ending.... it undoes the efforts of those three awesome shows leading up to the movie.
Achievements:
I made my whole new FA account ‘CWS’, and loving every second of it. ^^
I finally got off my butt to watch Stargate: SG1 season 1 for the first time in almost 24 years, and finally bought all the DVDs to see it in its entirety. Movies included. Don’t ask me about Stargate: Atlantis. Haven’t watched it yet. I am thinking about it though. That’s why I mentioned Willie Garson, who played the funny/awesome character Martin Lloyd in several episodes of SG1. I quickly became a fan of ‘Bob’s Burgers’, thanks to an episode I related to so hard, and bought all the seasons on DVD. Can’t wait for more ^^.
My brother gave us Paramount+ this Thanksgiving and I'm watching some of my old favorite Nick cartoons of the 90s. ^^
I finally bought the whole thing of ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ on DVD, and I love it.
And just today, my mom took me to an awesome restaurant, Lazy Dog. And I've been wanting to go to it for over 2 years, maybe more, since she and my dad kept talking about it so much. I enjoyed it so much, I brought home one of their burgers to enjoy tonight for New Year's Eve. ^^
Movies I’m looking forward to in 2022: Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Seeing Red, Lightyear, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Cuz, man, losing Chadwick… I’m curious on what they’ll do for this.), Black Adam (The Rock looks gnarly here), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse Part One, John Wick 4, The Bad Guys, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Bob’s Burgers Movie, Mission Impossible 7 (cuz my gal Hailey Atwell be in it! ^^), Creed 3.
Movies that I’m on the fence about but will still give a looksee: The Flash movie (cuz we haven’t had ENOUGH Batman – though Keaton Batman appearing is the plus), Morbius, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (because of Amber Heard), Jurassic World Dominion (last movie’s ending was whew), Top Gun: Maverick (FINALLY!), Fantastic Beasts 3 (last one… wasn’t too good to me, but this looks fun ^^)
Shows I’m looking forward to in 2022 on Disney+: She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, Sneakerella (Always love a Cinderella story ^^)
I ain't gonna jinx anything and say, 'maybe next year will be better than the last', but I am looking forward to some groovy stuff for 2022 movie-wise as mentioned above. I'm really looking forward to all the new Transformer toys coming in 2022. I'm really excited to see the Haslab Victory Saber, since I became a backer of that awesome character. ^^
But more importantly, I look forward to doing and sharing more and more art to my most excellent friends here on FA. ^^
Till next time, y'all have a safe and Happy New Years, everybody. See y'all in 2022.
Thanks for your time.

Random Transformer thoughts.
General | Posted 4 years agoBa weep gra na weep ninibong, my Auto-bros and Deceipti-gals!
These are some random Transformers thoughts that I’ve always wanted to share aloud with some folks. Some are just thoughts I’ve always had since I was but a sprog and some are… well, mini-rants, especially with the last one:
1) You’ll notice how whenever people talk about Optimus being a ‘crazed psycho killer’ in the movies. I’ve explained several times that he’s not, and you’ll see he doesn’t enjoy killing, plus he’s in a combat situation. You know… A WAR! But you’ll notice how none of the other Autobots you see kill in the movies get any flak, especially Bumblebee. Prime did kill in the cartoons, killed Galvatron in TF: Cybertron… nobody batted an eye. We see him shoot Cons at point blank range in the Bumblebee movie… nobody batted an eye. Bumblebee skewered Megatron in TF: Prime… nobody calls him a ‘crazy psycho killer’. Do you see why I hate this fandom’s hypocrisy?
2) In the 20-year gap ‘tween Season 2 and the movie of the G1 cartoon, I wonder how that wedding went between Spike and Carly. Always wondered that for a while. Wonder if Bumblebee was Spike’s best man ^^
3) People are quick to call ‘squick’ between Tessa and Shane in TF: AOE, and that whole Romeo and Juliet clause thingie. If that’s an actual thing… yeesh. Regardless, I don’t think the age-gap is that bad, only a year, and there have been much dumber laws for dumber reasons. But going back to G1, has anybody even considered the age-gap between Spike and Carly. In the screenplay of the ’86 movie, Spike is listed as 35, so he was 14/15 throughout seasons 1 and 2, not even old enough to drive. We see Carly, has her own car, says she attended MIT. Sooooooo…. Yeah, collage-age. ‘Magine if the genders were reversed.
4) Whatever did happen to Chip Chase and Sparkplug in the cartoon? After season 2, they were never seen again.
5) I never liked the idea of Unicron being the Earth itself, or the Earth’s core. Didn’t like it in TF: Prime that much, didn’t like it in TF: The Last Knight. It raises so many questions, not the least being how organic life would possibly form. I know, sci-fi rules and logic, you can do with them whatever, but it just takes away the menacing majesty of him being a monster planet. Then again, I once said Unicon is far more intimidating in his planet mode, and now I can’t look at his maw and see a butthole.
6) Coming back to Unicron, what if for the ’86 movie, the Quinitessons where the main villains. Like they built Unicron after getting the boot from Cybertron, they built Unicron and used him to destroy planets that have Transformers as revenge. Woulda been a much better story. Not that I didn’t like what we got, despite its mood-whiplash I feel it suffered from, but it at least woulda made the Quintessons more interesting.
7) I’ve explained before that Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime gets so much unnecessary hate. But what if, instead of Bumblebee, Hot Rod was part of the cast for season 1 and 2 going into the ’86 movie, and him becoming Rodimus Prime? Think there would be less of a backlash against him?
8) Coming back to the ’86 movie. Much as I like Kup, I think it shoulda been an adventure with Hot Rod and Bumblebee. Like a teaching of the old (semi-old) and new guard. Like Bumblebee teaching Hot Rod. That woulda been pretty nifty.
9) What if when we’re introduced to the Autobots of season 2 (even tho they just appear without explanation) Ultra Magnus was commanding that group? That woulda made a better first impression for him. Cuz, Magnus, dude, you really didn’t make that good of a first impression in the movie.
10) Wreck-Gar talks TV, we all know this. But if he was made today… ya think he would talk memes?
11) Rumble of Frenzy? Frenzy or Rumble? What I mean is their toy colors and names reversal. The toys listed the blue one as Frenzy, the red as Rumble. The show did the opposite. Well guess what, I’m going with the show naming, cuz that’s what I grew up with. Plus Frenzy sounds more synonymous with the color red anyhoo.
12) And the biggest one, coming back to the ’86 movie, is the whole ‘Who became Cyclonus? Skywarp or Bombshell?’ WHAT’RE Y’ALL CRAZY?! It’s clearly Bomb-warp! Joking aside, this is STILL a thing that’s talked about 35 years later. Thing about that was that, like Scourge with the Sweeps, Cyclonus was gonna get his own little ‘armada’ that looked like him. Hence Unicron’s line, “Cyclonus the warrior, and his armada.” Was that why the name was used when they were doing up TF: Armada? Regardless, I’m calling this 35-year long debate by what it is, AN ERROR THAT NOBODY BOTHERED CORRECTING, OR POSSIBLY DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO CORRECT. Hell, they even dropped it in a comic, I think Rodimus was fighting Cyclonus, and Roddy said, “I don’t care who you were.” Besides, the personalities of those dead Cons that became Scourge and Cyclonus don’t even match the personalities we got for them. Now if one of the other Insecticons became Scourge, maybe you’d have something. Like how it seemed the Sweeps seem to replicate themselves like the Insecticons. And with that, if Thundercracker and Skywarp became two different dudes by Unicron, like maybe a Dreadwing?
These are just random thoughts.
Thanks for your time. ^^

Do you even know what 'bait and switch' actually means?
General | Posted 4 years agoSomeday, this crap's gonna stop, people.
Someday these internet reviewers that call themselves 'nerds' or 'comic geeks' are actually gonna do some sorta research to find out certain terms.
Someday, they're gonna do actual apology videos and say that what they actually saw was not the made up fantasy fanfic they had in their head.
You'll recall in my 'MofU: Revelation' reveiw (which I saw the rest of it, and it was awesome BTW IMO. Hoping for a season 2) that the show as well as 'Loki', in those incels' minds, were gonna do a 'bait and switch'. Wherein, the main male character will get killed off and the female sidekick becomes the new lead somehow. You might recall one Jeremy-jerkoff Geeks+Gamers say that, in his own words, 'I haven't seen the rest of 'Loki' yet, but I just know that's what's gonna happen. Season 1's passed, Jeremy. I don't see you making any kind of apology to your gullible followers that that's what happened. Or maybe you did, I don't wanna check, cuz I don't want any of your crap on my recommendations... LIKE YOUR 100+ VIDOES ON WHY YOU HATE CAPTAIN MARVEL/BRIE LARSON! SERIOUSLY, LET IT THE HELL GO ALREADY!
Didn't happen on 'Loki'. Didn't happen in 'MofU: Revelations. And now you keep spewing that it's happening on 'Hawkeye' and that it's bombing.
Or are you review-bombing like you've done with so many other things? I hope what you're gaining from doing this crap is worth it you guys. Because all it does is hurt us nerd/geek community.
You know me, I don't get bogged down with reviews from critics, cuz it seems like that's how a movie or show is judged like it's their word of law. Hell, they give raving reviews to to utter crap that is actually bad. And I really can't go by their words anymore after 'Eternals', and it just makes me ask every time, 'Did you actually see the movie?' But from what I've seen with the first 3 episodes of 'Hawkeye', y'all, I'm lovin' it. Haylee Steinfeld is awesome, and such a great chemistry with Jeremy Renner. And I'm very excited to see how it goes. Plus, I do want Kate Bishop to become part of the 'Young Avengers' at some point.
What's my point of all this? ACTUALLY LEARN WHAT CERTAIN TERMS MEAN, AND STOP SPOUTING THEM OFF REPEATEDLY LIKE YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT!
But that's just me.
Thanks for your time.

Of Masters and Tasks
General | Posted 4 years agoOnce again, great title XD (Spoilers ahead if you haven't seen 'Black Widow')
I'm typing this out, cuz I came across something about one certain element in Black Widow that's gotten the nerds' jimmies ruffled. Particularly that of one Taskmaster. And I wanted to give my two cents on it.
Now if I've said this once, I've said it more than once: I consider myself a casual comics fan. If a particular issue tickles my fancy, I buy it and/or wait when the paperback comes around. So I don't have an extensive knowledge about certain characters. Hell there's a jagillion X-Men members these days, nevermind different teams. So yeah, I don't know too much about Taskmaster. I didn't even know he existed until 2015 when I bought an Avengers Encyclopedia just before 'Age of Ultron' came out. I thought he was a knockoff of Dr. Doom with the cape and all. I mean look at Carjack in the first issue of 'Thunderstrike'. (Where they equate carjacking a national disgrace and terrorism, BTW. Though with Marjorie Taylor Greene, she probably equates it to communism, but I'm getting off track). I didn't fully acknowledge him till an episode of 'Ultimate Spider-Man' where he can mimic moves just by looking at him, and I really dug that.
Where am I going with this? Well when I learned Taskmaster was gonna be a villain in 'Black Widow' I was stoked, and still liked the character after the reveal. Other peeps decried the MCU Taskmaster as a waste and not that talkative mercenary named Tony Masters. I didn't even know he had a real identity till yesterday at the time of this journal's entry. I always thought his identity was never revealed. My point is, I liked the reveal that this silent Taskmaster was the scarred up Antonia Dreykov, and under her scumbag father's control. It really ties with all the red in Natasha's ledger that she wants to wipe out. (wink wink) So I don't mind at all that the MCU Taskmaster isn't like in the comics. Even before the reveal Taskmaster was like a silent Terminator.
'But we already had that with Winter Soldier Bucky' so whined the fanboys. Yeah, and there were other Winter Soldiers too, which made Bucky obsolete in some areas as we saw in the movies. There's always gonna be a better version of something is what I'm saying.
And as we've established for over 13 years now, the MCU flicks take creative liberties to make things plausible.
Or did you want a 'Doctor Strange' movie where Wong is his manservant? Or how about a direct version on comic Thanos where he was killin' folks just trying to woo Death herself, and we end up saying, 'Dude, she's just not into you.' And I can't even imagine you wanting a far more comic-accurate version of 'Civil War' where everyone's stupid, an asshole, or both.
And let's face it, even if they did make Taskmaster in the movie that talkative mercenary (That should clue you in on why they probably HAD to change it *cough* Deadpool *cough*) it'll just be a lose/lose, cuz the same fanboys WILL STILL whine and bitch about it, since they can never be pleased, saying: "THE MCU IS JUST MAKING TASKMASTER THEIR OWN VERSION OF DEADPOOL SINCE THEY DON'T OWN HIM YET!" and/or "WHY ARE THE MCU VILLAINS ALWAYS TALKING AND SO JOKEY!?!?! WAAAH WAAAHH!!"....shut up. I've read far more; crazier, homophobic, misogynistic, xenophobic, racist and downright disgusting things fanboys wanted to see in MCU movies on the, thankfully gone since 2016, iMDB boards when they were still a thing. Like how one truly sick asshole wanted a scene where Loki rapes Black Widow. It'll shock you.
That's all I got to say, but man, I should really not type these things while hungry XD
Thanks for your time.

Of Cowboys and Bebops
General | Posted 4 years agoOnce again, nice title XD Happy After-Thanksgiving BTW ^^
SPOILERS AHEAD
As some of y'all know I'm a big anime fan, but not a lot of the most huge titles out there, apart from 'One Piece', aren't my most absolute favorites. Never have been. That doesn't mean I don't like them, don't get me wrong. (Tho I can pinpoint in 'Bleach' and 'Naruto' where it took a downward turn into mediocre) And 'Cowboy Bebop' was one of them.
Now I watched it over 15 years ago when it was on 'Adult Swim', and I liked it... Mad Pierrot episode aside (and I was praying he wasn't in the live-action show as well), but its movie is still a really big favorite and I watch it every Halloween. ^^
Sooooooooo, when Netflix announced a live-action Cowboy Bebop, and John Cho was playing Spike, I was intrigued.
"LIVE-ACTION MOVIES BASED ON ANIME ARE NEVER GOOD!" a voice only I can hear is ranting. And that's not absolute, there have been ups and downs when it comes to that. Me, my dad, and my brother still very much enjoy Scarlet Johansen in 'Ghost in the Shell'. I thought the live-action 'Full Metal Alchemist' movie was just... OK. And I really wish there's a sequel to the live-action 'Bleach' movie. Now I wasn't expecting a full-blown frame-by-frame reboot of this live-action 'Cowboy Bebop', but I gotta tell y'all, after seeing it... I dug it ^^
It has some issues, but it's more nitpicking than anything, and not really much I can pinpoint right away other than a 'live-action vs anime' kinda crap. John Cho was awesome as Spike, right down to the suit. Mustafa Shakir who played Jet was just a delight from start to finish, and he sounded just like his dubbed voice ^^ Faye wasn't sexualized like she was in the anime, but she was still hot in this, and I really liked Daniella Pineda as her. (And JUST learned at the time of this journal's entry that there was backlash over her, cuz of course there was) I really liked Vicious and Julia in this, since I can't remember squat about them in the anime. I liked that Julia became a player in her own right in this show.
Of course it has its detractors, and calling it 'a crime against anime', or whatever kinda crap the nerds wanna spew in their verbal diarrhea baby-rantings about 'MY CHILDHOOD IS RUINED!'
Sure it's not wholly deep in characterization exactly like in the anime, but we still get characterization. I doesn't have to delve in SO deep. Just get the point across. And that's what they did here, and I still loved the characters. But, I say give this a looksee. And me personally, I can't wait for a season 2 ^^ Still kinda on the fence on who they got to play Radical Ed, if I'm being honest.
So, that's my two cents, or two Woolongs ^^
Thanks for your time. ^^

Of Ghosts and Busting. XD
General | Posted 4 years agoNice title. XD
Howdy, folks. ^^
Just wanted to throw in my two cents in, as I usually do, about a certain franchise 'fore I inevitably watch a continuation of said franchise premiering after so many years. From that title, you should guess that I'm talking about.... 'Specter-Stompers' XD I kid of course, but wouldn't it be funny that in the Ghostbusters universe there's such a show? Stargate did it. ^^
But yes, what do I think about this franchise as a whole? Loved it since I was 8 years old. Though if I'm being honest... I didn't watch the first movie in its entirety... till I was about 12 or 13. Yeah, as a kid I only watched the bit when the Staypuft Marshmallow dude came in to the very end. Yeah, I was terrified of the terror dogs and the rest of it as a kid. Just like back then when I would watch 'Alien' and 'Aliens' I skipped over the chestbursting scenes. And seeing Bishop in Aliens getting stabbed from behind, him puking milk was really disturbing to me back then. But when I finally did watch the first Ghostbusters movie in its entirety, I absolutely loved it.
Then shortly I learned that there was a second movie that came out in '89, and it was gonna come on one of the movie channels I had, I saw it and I think I love it more. The ghosts in the second one where far more freakier than the first, and Vigo had more of that imposing factor than Gozer, since he was in throughout the movie.
I'm sure the million dollar question on everybody's mind is, 'what do I feel about the 2016 reboot?' Hear me out... I actually don't mind it. I actually liked the cast, though I really do feel Chris Hemsworth was wasted in this, and his character Kevin was grading on me. But his 'Hemsworth-charm' made him tolerable. The movie's not as good as the others, but it's not terrible as every incel on the internet has derided it to be. (before and after the movie's release mind you) But what really made it stand out to me was all of the awesome ghostbusting gadgets the gals had, not just the proton packs. Plus, it actually showed how the proton packs are made. Just little nuances like that really stand out to me.
Besides, regardless of what you think of the movie, I would watch Ghostbusters 2016 OVER Men In Black International any day of the week. My God MIB: International was utter crap with a nonsensical story, and the only saving grace was the chemistry 'tween Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.
Don't ask me about the games, cuz I haven't played them.
'What about the cartoon?' I'm sure you're wondering. Well I'm currently watching 'The Real Ghostbusters', since I just got the whole DVD set early this week at the time of this journal's entry. Finally I can watch it in its entirety after almost 30 years. That's what inspired me to write this thing XD
And oddly enough, as a kid I did catch a couple 'Real Ghostbusters' episodes, but never stuck around to see it fully, cuz I had others shows to watch. And funnily enough, that's how I learnt of the movie. XD So that was really my first Ghostbusters experience. XD
What do I feel about 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife'? Thought I actually wouldn't have mind it at all if we had a continuation of the 2016 reboot... despite all the grumblings, I'm looking forward to seeing this. And y'all should know I'm a Paul Rudd fan, so this is gonna be fun. ^^
But that's my 2 cents. And it'll only cost you one repeating phantasm, or a class 5 full-roaming vapor. But if not, I'll throw you in a dog and a cat. I hear they love living together ;3
So till then, who're you gonna call?
Thanks for your time. ^^

My thoughts on Avatar
General | Posted 4 years agoNo, not the awesomeness that IS 'The Last Airbender' and Legend of Korra respectively; though when I did learn of the title I thought James Cameron would be directing. But alas... we got Shamalama-ding-dong's version. But I'm getting off track here.
This isn't a jab at anybody who likes this movie, if anybody does like this movie. I just wanna know IF anybody likes this movie, and if so, why? I ask cuz the sequel's finally coming out next year. Is anybody excited for it. I know my dad will be, he loves this movie for some reason that continue to elude me. Then again he also likes the Twilight movies, but I'm getting off track again.
Again, this is my opinion, maybe not a popular one, but I didn't like this movie. It was slow, tedious, boring, the characters are flat-out forgettable. The plot was so predictable I knew what was gonna happen when I saw the first trailer. It's basically Pocahontas in space. There's no doubt in my mind that the world, environment and characters are definitely beautiful. But it's all style no substance to me. And like Dragonball GT, it was difficult for me to get to know and care about the world and with any characters' antics when there's far more bigger concerns going on in the background that does directly affect the characters. Even the special extended edition didn't clear up its problems. And during the almost 12 years since its release, I really haven't heard anybody talk about this movie. DC, Marvel, Transformers, Anime will come up and be discussed, but not this movie.
But if its one of those cases where I'll probably enjoy the sequel more than its first flick (i.e. Madagascar and Indiana Jones (not counting 4th movie)) then OK. But I am wondering how will they make the sequels any different, cuz James apparently has 4 sequels in the works. James, I really hope you're not putting all your chips in on that. Hell, the first movie didn't usher in 'a new era of 3D.' Back in 2010, all the Star Wars movies from 1 to 6 were gonna come out in theaters in 3D. And that stopped after just one came out.
Well you're obviously not gonna see it, Chase! Why are you wasting your time writing this?! the voice in my head is asking.
Am I gonna see it? Nah. Do I wish him luck? Somewhat. But after his crack in 2018, taking jabs at Marvel, and saying there hasn't been any good scifi films, completely disregarding 'Ready Player One' that came out that year, and its become one of my favorite movies of all time... yeah, I got no respect for him anymore.
So whaddya make of this? Lemme know in the comments below.
Thanks for your time.

My overall feelings about Evangelion: Rebuild
General | Posted 4 years agoHowdy, y'all.
For those who've known me for a while, you probably know I'm an anime nut. And might also know about me and 'Evangelion'. Now if you ever conversed with other anime geeks, you'll be hard-pressed to NOT see that some peeps like it, some hate it, some absolutely LOVE IT and will say it has all the deep meanings and you're too stupid to understand it, and some will find it an absolute 'WTH'.
Me? For the last 20 or so years, I've always been on a love/hate/love/hate/love/hate/love/hate relationship with it. It aired on PBS when I was staying over at my Grandma's up north, and it was when Eva 3 turned into an Angel. Episode after that, was when Eva 1 went berserk and ate that Angel. Didn't traumatize me, but I was taken aback by it. Over the years, I collected the tapes (yes, that's when VHS tapes were still a thing. Man, I feel old XD) all the way up to the 'End of Evangelion' movie.
My stance on the actual show... oh boy. The show started off good, then somewhere midway it just turned into a caboodle of crap that thought it was deeper than it really was. And I know the circumstances of what went down with Anno, and I do hope he did get the help he actually needed.
Then when I heard about the 'Rebuild' films... ALL THE WAY BACK IN 2006, it got me curious in what it was gonna do, how they were gonna make this different. Finally saw the dub version around 2010, and I dug it straight away! ^^ Over the coming years, 2nd movie finally came out, loved it as well, and I was eager to see the rest of 'em. The day I saw 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' back in 2014, that morning I was finally able to see the 3rd movie. And if I said this once, I said it more than once, Transformers cheered me right up after seeing that 3rd movie; so many questions that movie left me asking. But I said to myself 'maybe they'll explain things in the 4th and final movie'. It's a damn shame I had to wait years for it; constant delays, financial problems, Anno on other works (though I really loved Shin Godzilla ^^) THE FRIGGIN' DAMN-DEMIC!
I had all but given up hope that the 4th film would ever come out... till 2020 that is. And I thought I would have to wait a couple more years till the dub came out. That was till about 2 days ago at the time of this journal's post, I was finally able to watch all 4 movies on Amazon Prime. Seeing the first two movies again was a treat, first time in over a decade, and with new dubbing on Prime (Shinji, Misato and Gendo's dub voices are the same in case you were wondering) And honestly it's far better to see them back-to-back. And then seeing the 4th film; starting late Monday night, and resuming it just last night. Well... I can say this the upmost confidence, and I don't care if I piss off the fans of the series:
THE ANIME SERIES CAN SUCK IT!!!!!!
Anno, if these 'Rebuild' movies were what you intended all along, then boyo, ya done struck me right in the feels with the 4th film! Like seriously, 'End of Evangelion'... I didn't what to feel with that movie; happy, sad, angry, confused, hungry, thirsty, pizza or burgers... that movie was just a mess. This last movie made me feel hope, and that's what I'm all about; hope and wholesomeness. This movie had that in spades. I didn't cringe, Shinji was far more tolerable and likeable in the Rebuild movies that the series, and I was finally able to root for him. If you love Rei as your 'waifu' like I do, you'll really love her in this last film. Her and Mari... oh yeah ^^
And as I always say, your mileage may vary. Go check it out if you're able to. If you have seen these movies, or like the actual series, lemme know in the comments how you feel. You have my permission to stone me for talkin' smack about your favorite anime series over its far-superior movies XD I kid, but if you do like the first series, my statement's not a personal attack against you. I actually envy you for actually finding a deeper meaning in the show's imagery, thinking its more clever than it actually is. Maybe there's actually a deeper meaning to Shinji jacking off all over a comatose Auska in 'End of Evangelion' that doesn't make him so detestable. But that's just me. If you like the show, I won't judge.
That's all I gotta say... and I mustn't run away. XD
Thanks for your time. ^^

My thoughts on He-Man Revelations
General | Posted 4 years ago(Spoilers ahead)
'Fore I get started, I just wanna say I never actually saw the original 80s He-Man show. Prolly some clips on Cartoon Network... if it was ever on Cartoon Network, I honestly can't remember. Most of my knowledge comes from the show from 2002, and even back then I was just a casual fan. But I id have a knowledge about He-Man from other sources. Casual fan, but I still liked the story, concept and characters. I mean c'mon, who wouldn't like a dude named Ram-Man? I wanna see him take down Juggernaut! XD
'So why did you watch this show when you was never really a fan?!', so screams the bitch-boys of the internet. Simple: awesome animation, aforementioned previous knowledge, and FRICKIN' MARK HAMMIL AS SKELETOR!!! And this is a continuation of the 80s cartoon, not a reboot... AS PEOPLE STILL CANNOT TELL THE FRICKIN' DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE!!!
So yeah, I saw it... and I loved it. And this is coming from a person who can't stand a lot of the old 80s looks of the original; He-Man, Thundercats, and She-Ra. If I were to compare this to the recent 'War for Cybertron' show on Netflix... (scoffs), no contest. I had more emotional investment in the five episodes of this He-Man show than I ever did with 90% of the characters in 'War for Cybertron' in the 2 seasons that it's had so far. And I'm not as hopeful for 'Kingdom' coming out this week.
Of course, we got the Jerk-off Jeremys, and pretty much almost every He-Man fan under the sun are hating on this. Geeks+Gamers Jeremy, of course, calling this a 'bait and switch' with Teela like Sylvie was in 'Loki'. Yeah, crap like this that these morons continuously spew out always makes me question the validity of you actually viewing the show. Especially when Geeks+Gamers said they they didn't actually watch Loki but said that's how they know it'll play off as.
And especially when these clowns accuse Teela of being whiny throughout. Again, I question if you actually did watch the damn thing? Also, where've I heard this lie continuously being thrown out by shitstains like Geeks+Gamers about a certain Captain Marvel?
'OH YOU SOUND LIKE THE KINDA PERSON THAT WOULD ENJOY THIS SHOW; JUST LIKE THE FEMALE-LEAD STAR WARS, THE NEW SHE-RA, CAPTAIN MARVEL AND BLACK WIDOW!'
-_- And people wonder why nerd culture is looked down upon with either distain or disgust. AND YES, I FRIGGIN' LOVE THE NETFLIX SHE-RA SERIES! IS THAT A PROBLEM?!
No, we do get a good does of both He-Man and Skeletor throughout these 5 episodes. More focus is on Teela, Evil-Lyn, and the rest of the characters presented, and are all likeable. We see them conquer challenges, especially with Orko. (sighs) Oh, my boy Orko.
So yea, the people complainin', once again just pissy fanboys who didn't get what was expected, felt like they were lied to, felt like creators actually owed and promised them something. So naturally they feel like it's a plot and agenda against men. Good God, when will these babies grow up?
But yea, go check it out if ya'll have Netflix. Your mileage may vary, sure, but it's a fun romp throughout, and I geniunely can't wait for part 2. ^^
Thanks for your time.
