Sadly since I rarely pay attention to the journals here either I'm not surprised I don't update here more often myself.
Anyway yes I am alive as seen by new arts XD
I have been going through random things in life. Last year was "laid off" from my admin asst/reception job and have had a job in retail for a year now while I have started to go back to school to hopefully get into something more interesting. Hopefully this will have me posting some of my own work here at some point rather than posting pics others have done for me. But going to school for game design and going through all aspects of it right now. This semester have been doing Intro to Game Development and Intro to Programing (C#). It's been fun and rather challenging. C# has really got me on the ropes right now actually. In the end I would hope to create my own games and or my own art for games but do need a bit more study before I can get that far.
Anyway that's the update.

More on School Uniforms Stuff
Posted 16 years agoSo I have a friend who is full encouraging me to get started on making this school uniform that I started to look for materials to get this started with.
So to start with I found this site that I really like: http://www.bblackandsons.com/index.php
They have lots of wool which is what most UK School Unis are made from, don't worry about if it will be itchy or anything because I will line them, I'm hoping that's enough too because I am usually pretty bad with wool.

This seems to be the perfect color of what I was looking for before. This can be used for both the blazer and the cap though. Speaking of the cap I also have found the cord that would line the edges of it here: http://www.trimfabric.com/lt-119.html

MFF and thoughts on School Uniforms

After getting back from MFF my thoughts went back to creating things, specifically sewing something for friends and such. Even though I recently told a friend that you basically have to do your art for yourself, which I still believe, for me I always seemed to want others to enjoy it. So I thought maybe the best thing to do is rather than make something for myself I should make something for others.
One thing that came up again was the babyfur school uniform. So for those of you that don't know at AC I wore my British schoolboy uniform and everyone loved it so after the con I somewhat commissioned a friend to get an art piece done of that (which is adorable btw and here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3080654 ). This also made me consider creating one designed specifically for us cubs to wear around. So when I was at the Cub Hub this year I started talking to another cub who was thinking of making a girls school uniform too. Personally I'm not int girls clothes but I know there are a lot of sissyfurs out there. So I was thinking making something for both boy and girl that for boy is formal and very boyish and girls also formal but very girlish. In general I've never really thought of creating girls clothes but thought "well I really don't want to leave anyone out".
So here's some of my thoughts on making a costume for this.
For boys we start off with a jacket. I was thinking something similar to this:

I'm fond of blue and bright primary colors screams childish. As for the piping I was thinking more of a baby blue.
Most uniforms have some sort of sweater vest/full sweater and was thinking something like this:

Of course again replacing the green with baby blue.
After that boys uniforms follow go with grey shorts (for the younger kids at least) or grey pants and knee socks which differ.

Last but not least caps: http://www.perryuniform.co.uk/acata.....-LDP_royal.jpg Same as before with baby blue piping or possibly alternating colors of the two blues and the bill being royal with the school badge being on a light blue panel in front.

Socks in general would be the hardest thing to do because you'd have to have them specially made and most of the other things can be made from sewing yourself. Would love to find a supplier to make all this stuff in general just so it'd be easier to mass produce and ship here for sales and such, if anyone knows of one let me know.
As for girls I was thinking of a full dress in the sailor-esque look. This is something close to the idea but having the sailor scarf piece in the back and the dress being royal blue with baby blue piping and lining http://www.perryuniform.co.uk/acata.....7-PCG_ging.jpg
So both uniforms would have a badge/school insignia for babyfurs. Haven't fully thought that out yet but working on it.
So yeah basically that's my full thoughts on that at the moment. There was some talk on making a basic uniform and having school houses (like they have in Harry Potter) but I think that it would almost be too much work and not sure who would order what. Not that I wouldn't probably have a uni from each house for myself but I'm more concerned with seeing who's interested in the first place rather than the multiple house and such. BTW I used the Perry uniform site because it was the first I found with decent pics and these are real actual uniforms in the UK.

Posted 17 years agoSo since I haven't really done a journal here yet but wanted to tell a little about myself. I am more of a writer than anything which is kind-of hard to do commissions and such. Mainly though I love art. In fact I have a few ideas for comics but never seem to be able to find artists for which I will probably post the ideas in my journal here

So as for ideas; I have one furry comic/world that my skunk character lives in and it's fantasy/steampunkish (which is somewhat the inspiration of the steampunk skunk image done by Kien). In general I am a fan of Steampunk. For those who don't know Steampunk is basically taking the Victorian time period and adding higher technology using the technology of the time which is the steam engine. Todays version of it though is more retro-futuristic.
My other idea is a very cool human detective series where it's a whole mystery during a year kind-of like Batman: The Long Halloween. I have a whole basic storyline for this series but haven't written in out (have outlines but not the written story in other words). It's a really interesting series which I will go into later
