Okay, so I kid a tad. The big point is that I've always harbored a slight sweet-spot for steampunk, keeping it quiet beside my absolute hunger for cyberpunk. Well, a few happenings ago, that kinda switched around. I thirst for some steampunkery goodness.

Okay, so a little update:

It was a dark and stormy night... Well, not so much stormy, but definately dark. Okay, maybe not all that dark, what with the lights on the airfield... I wanted good drama. DON'T JUDGE ME!

Hehe, anywho, my shift got bumped up an hour. So, from here on forth, I'll be slaving away for the pilot masters from about 1600 Central through 0100 Central. If you cannot translate...

YOU FAIL! At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

By the by, I might be a little tired while writing this. It's been two hours since I got of shift, and my springy bed is too bouncy or saggy to sleep in properly. The board's a little stiff, and the ground a little... Eh... Groundish. Honestly, would you want to sleep on the ground instead of Mr. Springly when they name the place Lake Bondsteel (or, AUF DEUTSCH: Lake Bondshteel) after a little sprinkle of rain? No I, says the cat. Fine, then I shall go and sleep in my springly by myself. And he did.

Just a little heads-up notice that I've arrived in Kosovo. So far, so good. I've taken care of everything I need to on the way over here (with a few things left on the home-front, but I've got the time to deal with them now).

*hrms* What can I talk about..? OH! I know!

The trip from Germany to here was via a C-130. An interesting flight, if long and loud and chilly. The net-like seats were kind of, well... Kind of different from what I'm used to flying with. I didn't exactly have a good view of anything, but that was okay. Also, it's hard to sleep in a chair that won't recline.

Germany was nice, too. I went and saw the castles at Nanstein and Potzburg. Enjoyed Cinco de Mayo at the E-Club on base (there were some cute airmen there, but I didn't act on anything despite the booze). We managed to hit 115 MPH on the highway in our Fiat Punto (foreign POS). Really, nothing too exciting yet, we're hoping for more fun on the return trip.

Hello, kiddies! Red fox here. Just checking in with y'all: I'm due back on this Saturday (one week), but I've got to work Sunday... Long story short, I've got a lot on my plate for the few days after I get back. Sadly, that means delays I didn't expect to getting to things back home. So it goes.

I proposed to Kendall at dinner. He said yes! I've nver been so happy! Also, I'm drunk and on my phone.

Okay, I've a list of updates to give:

1) I'm back from VA. It was painful to tear myself away from the man I love, but I knew I had to do it. Next change I get to see him will be around my birthday, this December.

2) I'm on orders once again, but for special training with JFHQ. It's a long story, and one I'm not able to really get in depth in right yet.

3) I've found myself in a most interesting bit of role-play. I happen to be Captain First-Class Nikolai Alexandrovich Zelenko, top officer of the K-403 "Krasnaya Zdezda" - an Akula-class boat by NATO code. Naturally, she's using supercavitating torpedoes and a hydrojet propulsion system much quieter than normal screws. *giggle* Our mission is to hunt a sub intel says is heading out to nuke us before it gets too far out (they can dive deeper than we can). Anywho, it looks like it'll be boat-loads of fun. :3

Anywho, I can't think of anything else right yet to update, but... I might try to post more... Maybe...
