Merry Christmas guys.
General | Posted 14 years agoAnyone wanna play Black Ops or Halo Reach some time? I have my own Xbox 360 now. :3
Don't do or say something if it is not your place to do so.
General | Posted 14 years agoSeriously. It just upsets and angers the people who have more emotional involvement than you.
No, this has nothing to do with anything internet related. This is entirely a family matter (involving a rather untimely and emotionally impacting death of one of our oldest).
I would like to ask, though, does anyone have any experience writing and/or delivering a eulogy? I've been asked to give one at an upcoming memorial service (not exactly a funeral, the person in question has already been cremated), and I've never done so. I know I have a lot of writing experience, but this is something I'm really afraid to tackle in fear that I might say the wrong thing.
Also, Level 38 on the second day of release: http://imageshack.us/f/651/foxhound.png/

Server: Warriors of the Shadow (PvP),
Name: Foxhound
Class: Jedi Guardian (Defense spec)
Level: 21
Early access rocks. I've still got 5 days before the game officially launches and I'll likely be 30+ by then (and the level cap is 50).
Oh, and I got A's and B's in all my classes.

General | Posted 14 years agoI'd take back so many things. I can't find peace from my history even now; people still won't let me forget.
Maybe what I need is a fresh start.

Star Wars: The Old Republic. TWO WEEKS AWAY!
General | Posted 14 years agoAmgggfmgm cannot wait, it's gonna be an awesome reward to a grueling school semester, to be able to sit on my ass all night and kick Sith scum off the Voidstar, slaughtering Rottworms in Huttball, and leveling Imperial Battlecruisers on Alderaan.
PvP, in other words; it's gonna be my main focus. And I'm going to be a terror on the field. I'm going to make Sith players shake in their boots at the sight of my Jedi knight.

FC 2012.
General | Posted 14 years agoIt's a *possibility*. I'm keeping it under wraps and as a distant option because I don't want a repeat of the drama I had with my parents last time I announced furcon plans. I'm still mad about that, to be honest, but I have to let it go sooner or later.
At the moment it's up in the air. I wouldn't really have anyone to hang out with so I don't know, plus I've got the next school semester coming up. It would be nice to finally attend my first con, but I just don't see a lot of incentive at the moment.
What do you guys think?

Going to see my therapist again.
General | Posted 14 years agoI had a huge panic episode as soon as I got settled in at Big Bear and my parents were so worried about me that they were forced to bring me home this morning. I was worrying over my schoolwork, my dying grandma, and (as petty as it sounds) not having any form of entertainment up in Big Bear since I couldn't get internet in the lodge, all the boats were taken off the lake, and almost everywhere was closed. Everything hit all at once and I couldn't deal, I had a breakdown on the spot. So I was forced to come home this morning.
I still feel really bad that my parents had to see that and take time out of their day to drive me home and then go all the way back, but I'm glad they did, and I hope they enjoy their vacation up there. Meanwhile, I've already made an appointment to see my therapist again. Having that happen utterly confirmed that I'm still not well and need to talk to somebody again. So that's that.
So, yeah. I don't feel emo about it or anything, just a set of circumstances beyond my control, and it made me realize that I'm not well and have to deal with it, so I'm gonna try to learn from it and move on.
# Twilight is a dangerous role-model. Keep that saga away from your kids. Teach them to think, not to conform.

Big Bear in 6 days. (pimping a friend as well)
General | Posted 14 years agoOn Friday I'm heading up to Big Bear, our routine Thanksgiving vacation spot. It's been a hard semester for me so I'd like to think I earned this vacation. I've finished all my term papers so all that remains is to study for the finals, which I'm very confident about. I'm taking my PC up this time so anyone who needs to get in contact with me will be able to (when I'm not at the bar or on the lake fishing, that is). Can't wait.
In the mean time, one of my friends needs some help and is taking commissions: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2924066/ If you're interested, go check him out and see if there's anything you might want. He's good for it.
That's about it from me. I'm actually setting forward a huge goal for 5-6 years from now, that being to save up enough money to participate in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The entry fee is $10,000, so I've got a ways to go, but we'll see.
I'd love to be able to sit down at a table with this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCpuu2FpC1o
Peace guys.

New meaning to the word Shameless.
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I was in my Criminal Law class today, the last one on my schedule, and there's this one student in class that brings a whole new definition to the meaning of underachiever. He's missed roughly 75% of the class lectures, he's late whenever he does decide to show up (which is usually only on test days), and he never turns in any of the assigned homework.
Today our term papers were due (and I asked her to grade mine early since I had time to kill; she gave me an A), and of course, he didn't have one to turn in. So when everyone got in line to turn in our papers, he was the only one that stayed sitting down, watching the rest of us turn in our work. The class resumed as usual, and before long it was over. As I was packing my bag (I have a LOT of books, so it takes a good 4 or 5 minutes to get my bag properly organized to carry), the guy went up to the front desk and struck up a conversation with the professor. And what he said was so incredibly shameless and self-centered that my table peers and I couldn't help but burst out laughing (although he didn't realize we were laughing at him).
He was asking the professor to give him a passing grade so he wouldn't have to retake this class.
He didn't turn in ANY of the homework, he was almost never present for lectures so unless he did a lot of studying (which I doubt), his test grades were probably astoundingly low, and the few times he was there he never participated in class or group discussions, he just sat there staring at the ceiling, half-asleep. And here he was, asking the professor to give him a C.
We couldn't help it; it was just so funny. And the professor shot us a dirty look while it was happening, which we didn't mind since we WERE out of line. But if I see him again, I plan on giving him a little lecture of my own. I even rehearsed it on the way home in my mind.
"Hey, if you want to get through a class with a passing grade, show up to class, do the homework, and participate in class activities like the rest of us. If you can't do that, tough shit, you don't get passed just because you beg for it. You're an adult, take some fucking responsibility for yourself and learn from this."
If I do end up seeing him, I wonder what his reaction will be.

Friend of mine wants to practice her art. If you're interested, go to her journal and leave a reference.
In other news, term papers are due soon. Had an all-nighter last night doing mass research on the last one (subject I'm writing about is the effectiveness of physical punishment as an instrument of corrective behavior for children, and why the law should recognize it as a crime). Anyone got some coffee?

General | Posted 14 years agoJohnny Depp never fails to amaze me with his acting. Good movie, has a smart story and doesn't insult its viewers intelligence. It has a perfect balance of comedy and real-world drama.
4* from me.

So...does anyone want me to do anything on Camera.
General | Posted 14 years agoThanksgiving is coming up soon and I have a week vacation booked in Big Bear, right on the lake. I plan to spend time fishing, at the sports bar, the zoo, etc, but given the kind of weather Big Bear normally has this time of year, odds are I'm going to be cabin-grounded most of the time. I'm taking my PC and webcam with me this time though, as the lodge has wireless internet on its grounds.
So, if you want me to do something on camera, whether it's doing a Lets Play of some game, responding to something on YouTube, or just being a general butthole in person, this is your chance to request it. If you want me to strip naked, stick a banana up my butt, and hum the Star-Spangled Banner, I'd certainly be open to an idea like that. I'll be WELL-stocked on Kahlua so there'll be no shortage of motivation.
Think about it.
# At the moment I have a Lets Play of Mega Man 9 planned soon. Working on the Mr Perfect challenge right now.

Movie review: Dreamhouse.
General | Posted 14 years agoNothing special. It really tries to be with the way its story unfolds, but ultimately it's too slow, unorthodox in its execution, stuffy and predictable. Daniel Craig isn't that great of an actor in my opinion.
Just sharing my $5.25 of nightly entertainment.

Judas Priest concert was fucking awesome.
General | Posted 14 years agoEven at their age, they can still play Metal like no other band out there. Rob Halfords vocal and octave range is absolutely incredible. And the concert was opened by both Thin Lizzy, and Black Label Society (lead by Zack Wilder, one of Ozzy's major guitarists).
It took more than three days to get my hearing back, but man, what an experience. The energy I felt was unbelieveable.

Beta Testing Star Wars: The Old Republic.
General | Posted 14 years agoIt's cool that I got selected for it. I haven't slept in 48 hours now.
And I'm not going to until my time runs out on Tuesday. Lucky I don't have to be at school this week.

Now the weight is coming off.
General | Posted 14 years agoApparently all that was wrong was that my metabolism is slow and I had to work harder to speed it up. Now the weight is starting to come off.
201lbs so far. 4 pounds down and counting. I'm going for 170.
Which is great for me since I start attending a new school come January, SJVC. It's closer to me, has more classes to offer, and all of my current units from VVC will transfer to this one. And since it's state-certified, almost every class it offers will be applicable to a state university. Even getting a counselors appointment was no problem.

A month away from my second concert.
General | Posted 14 years agoOctober 23rd I go to see Judas Priest live at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. This is their last tour before retirement so it's the last chance anyone will have to see them perform live. Already got my ticket and my hotel room. It's gonna be awesome.

R.I.P, Crybaby, my beloved cat.
General | Posted 14 years agoHe passed away in the vets office today at the age of 11. We took him in after we discovered a lump in his side, and it turned out to be an infected bladder and kidney stones; he was unable to relieve himself for days. They performed surgery to remove the stones and kept him in intensive care, but he was too sick and he passed away.
I loved that cat to death. I've been crying all afternoon since I found out...but he had a good life, at least.
I'll get over it. It just hurts when you lose someone you care about, especially when it's so unexpected...

Going on Hiatus soon.
General | Posted 14 years agoSchool is starting again this month and I'll need to put the internet aside for a while so I can focus on my studies and make grades. I'll still be hovering around I guess, keeping in touch with people, but I won't be looking at art or making/reading a lot of journals anymore. I want to make good grades this semester.
Anyway, I'm having the worst hangover ever right now, (and I lost all my money gambling to boot), so off to bed with me. Peace.

Total drink count this weekend.
General | Posted 14 years ago6 Adios Mother Fuckers.
4 Jim Beam shots.
7 Kamikaze's.
1 Jaegerbomb.
2 Beers.
1 Cherry Popper.
And lots and lots of time on the bathroom floor.
First time I got so drunk that I couldn't remember the night before. All I was told was that I was hitting on the bartenders (all men) and that I won some mini-jackpots. *shrug*
Going for end-stage liver disease by age 30. Also, trying to prove that anything
can drink, I can drink better.
I had fun though.

wants to see her best friend in Canada, and so is taking commissions to raise the money.
Her art is awesome, she's one of the few people around here (key word people, because she's not really a furry) that sticks to traditional art rather then digital, and she does a very good job at it. Her art is very cute and more than worth the price. And she's a nice person and prompt about her commissions as well.
Go shower her in money and help her out.
