Hello old friends!

I dropped off the face of the FA planet but hopefully I am really back this time. I went to university and then went to Japan which is where I am now. O_O

I don't have a keyboard here and my laptop doesn't have my old songs or music software but I want to get back into composing classical music. I think a good place to start is to try to find some of the people who were so kind and supportive of me so long ago. If you're here, I love you! You guys are an inspiration. Once I comb through the heaps of ancient yiff and <SUBMISSION DELETED BY OWNER> left in my submissions queue since I was last here, I look forward to listening to some of your works that I've missed.

But to be honest I haven't been composing nearly as much as I used to be. I've been dealing with some personal issues including depression for a long time, and looking back on my days when I was churning out piece after piece and seeing the support I got on here and the challenge to always be better -- I think I need to start up again.

Can anyone recommend some good FLOSS or cheap software for composing classical stuff? I've been using LMMS for electronic music but it doesn't seem to great for classical stuff. I miss my old sound library and my copy of Finale!~

Anyway, It's 2 AM here and I should sleep before I ramble further. I miss the furry composers community and I hope I can reintegrate myself into my longtime home here. :)

This past weekend I was at my brother's graduation. He graduated from a music school, you see, so he took us around to see all the cool musicky things. And I got to see and do lots of nifty things, including -- !! I got to play a real live celeste! :D It ROCKED. It was so freaking cool. Also, the school got the largest order of Steinway pianos in history, and so I got to see like a hundred Steinways and play on some of them. :3 :3 It was amazing! :)

Okay, so, I did an art trade with blindragon ages ago, where I wrote a song for him and he did a poem and said he'd draw a picture along with it. He's been *absurdly* apologetic about taking so long to draw it (I didn't mind at all, I promise!) but the end-product was absolutely worth the wait. Really beautiful. Watch this man, because he will be going places.

Hey all. :) I've been real busy with school and theatre and stuff and that's why I haven't been posting music in a while. Well -- I've just submitted my first composition to FA in a while, so I hope you guys take a listen. Also, I posted some poems a bit ago in lieu of the songs I hadn't been creating, so if you care to you can give em a read.

Just posting to let you all know I'm going to be posting more music soon, and if I get accepted to my early decision college choice, composing will probably be almost all of what I do. :D

First and foremost: I love you guys. :3 I never thought there'd be such a solid crowd of classical music lovers on FA, but when Clawcast told me to put my music up here, I obeyed. :D And I'm so glad I did. Almost 50 watches! That's pretty awesome. :)

That being said, I know that my gallery is a bit daunting. (There's more submissions than watchers, atm. >.<) But I've got some of my own favourites of mine in the back of my gallery, and I wanted to share a few of those with you guys so you don't have to go fishing around in there. :P

I figured that the old icons weren't diverse enough and my gallery was extremely unattractive. Now the icons depend on what instruments are in the pieces. That way, if you really like piano, you can go for the piano ones first, etc. Hopefully it'll make people look at more stuff. :P

I'm feeling a bit dry for new ideas in the music realm. A solid platform will help a whole bunch, and I thought maybe a cool way to do that would be with a trade!

Anybody who can draw, I'd love to trade you a piece of artwork for one of my songs -- you can control the full specs: type of instruments, the feel, as much as you want. :D It can be a character theme song, whatever. ^_^
