This is kind of a vent/rant journal...

I've been looking for a house since December, and it's May already and I still haven't found a place. I'm pre-approved for a VA home loan, but not many properties I've seen in my price range accept VA financing. The government-owned HUD homes don't even accept VA financing, which is stupid because both HUD and the VA are government-run. I've also had shitty luck with real estate agents, and my mortgage broker doesn't seem to care much at all. I'm losing faith and motivation, because I'm realizing that if I don't do this shit on my own, it's never going to get done. My real estate agent has stopped sending me properties and yesterday responded to an email from me with only 3 words. I'm losing faith in humanity and losing hope in getting a house of my own here in Michigan. I'm not medicated and my ADHD is really taking a toll. I can't seem to do what I need to do anymore. I don't want to leave my apartment or call anyone. It's extremely frustrating because I know that if I want a house, I will have to be the one to take initiative. *sigh*

Because I want to start building fursuits I've been watching every fursuit maker I come across, both for inspiration and so I don't copy their company name when I choose my own. I've decided that I want to become a fursuit maker and a real estate agent. That's what I want to do :)

For the longest time I have been undecided on what I want to do for a career-type job, which has created a lot of stress for me. I'm 30 so being undecided has worried me. I'm good at drawing, but I don't want to do that for a job because I don't really want to draw all the time. I do way more crafting than I do drawing, and I prefer it more most of the time. I want to make my own fursuit and researching and thinking about it has been an obsession lately. Why not combine my love for crafting, my artistic skill, and a job? The real estate thing is what I'd do for more money and the fact that me and my bf want to start flipping houses. So yeah, fursuit maker first and real estate agent second. :)

Seriously. I fucking love the internet! I can be an introvert but be social at the same time!

I woke up in a horrible mood today but after a little bit on the internet, I started feeling a lot better. Hooray for technology!

I only have Photoshop on my computer right now, but I will soon have Painttool SAI as well. I used to have SAI on an older computer about 8 or 9 years ago. I'm excited to use SAI again because I was watching an artist stream last night and their lines were so fucking smooth. They did one pass and it seemed to auto-smooth. When I try to do that in Photoshop, I still get tiny wiggles from my hand shaking. I don't know what setting to put it on to make that happen. It's frustrating as hell. The possibility that I will be able to soon draw smoothly with little effort is very enticing. If any of you know what settings you have to have the pen tool on for super smooth lines in SAI, please let me know. I don't remember the program much at all. It's been so long since I've used it. But if I'm able to draw faster and more accurate with SAI, I may actually open up commissions. I'll let you guys know. :)

Gah! I want to draw but I can't seem to start. I don't know what to draw. I do have a few things I could draw, but I'm not feeling them right now so I'll do them later. I was thinking about doing something in my sketchbook too. I haven't used it in a long while. It's less than half full, and a lot of the work in there is unfinished. I'm also watching a lot of True Blood lately but don't want to watch episodes I haven't seen and draw; I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the show. I get like this a lot. Very indecisive and impatient. Any suggestions?

I can't believe it's already Wednesday. I felt like MCFC weekend went bay WAY too fast, but that could be an effect from the cookies I brought. LOL. Seriously though, I had a blast and met some awesome peeps! I'm going to make a better effort to start my partial this year because I want to suit so fucking bad! Ah! lol. Oh, and my Cyndal kigu was warm as hell and awesome outside. I also got a ton of compliments on it!

Leaving for MCFC soon (I live only 2 hours away) and I'm super excited! You can spot me by my purple and pink hair; feel free to say "hi"! I'm bringing both my Cyndal and Pikachu kigurumis as well. Oh, and every so often I'll be playing the Numa Numa song and recording, so if you'd like to be in a music video, please don't hesitate to jump in front of the camera and dance/act a fool. lol

So yeah, I'm currently working on editing & coloring a free lineart to ultimately update Cyndal's design & ref sheet. My current ref sheet kind of sucks and is hard to see what her design truly is. I've also been altering the colors to make them more awesome and less childish. It's taking me longer than I'd like, but the more work I get done the more satisfied I am with the design. This updated design will be what I will base my fursuit on. Expect to see it within the next few days

Happy July!

I'm excited because DemonSynth talked me into getting internet for the apartment, so now I have internet at home again! Yay!

I haven't been making much progress on my yarn tail or my partial because there have been other things going on. I've also started playing the Steam game Terraria, which is highly addicting. I didn't expect it to be so addicting... O_o

Hopefully I'll get off my ass and start on my partial soon... lol

I'm feeling really lazy lately. I hope it goes away or lessens in strength soon. My life casting kit arrived in the mail yesterday, and I want to start my fursuit partial.

Happy early Memorial Day weekend, everyone!

This weekend is MediaWest*Con in Lansing. This will be my second year, and I'm taking DemonSynth with me. I'm not as excited as I should be, but hopefully that will change the closer it gets. I'm most excited for our Star Wars blaster/light saber battles throughout the hotel :D

Ugh. The smell of a new pot of coffee brewing in the office right now is the catalyst to this pointless journal entry. lol.

I used to be a big coffee drinker, especially while in the Navy. However, my lactose intolerance and IBS prevents me from enjoying coffee anymore. Well, I could technically still drink coffee... I'd just be upset with myself later due to the my body's physical response to it.

I've since switched to tea. Right now, I'm drinking PG Tips English black breakfast tea. I use local (Michigan) raw honey and Lactaid brand milk. It's amazing. I wish I had some right now.

I'm just sad that I can't enjoy coffee much at all anymore, and tea is difficult to make on the run. Plus, I'm picky about my tea.

Just a rant. My office smells like Starbucks and it's driving me nuts. lol
