Today is the first day back to work from MCFC, and I'm feeling the "post-con depression". It was a great convention, though. Funny thing was, we spent the weekend in short sleeves while outside and today (Tuesday), we wake up to snow. Michigan weather is on crack, I swear. lol

I need to start submitting more stuff, I know. I haven't been doing well lately, and it's difficult to want to art while I'm like this. Plus, I don't have internet at home, still. I really want to work on a partial for Cyndal this year. We'll see how that goes.

So FCN was this weekend and I was (thankfully) able to go. Not only that, but I was able to spend the time with my friends and my bf (who now has a fursona lol). <3

FCN was amazing and I didn't want it to end. That seems to be a running theme so far. lol. Didn't suit up but then again, I don't have my suit yet. I should have brought my Pikachu costume but I didn't think it a good idea at the time. I'm kicking myself now. Hopefully I will get off my lazy ass and make my partial this summer. haha

I also conducted an experiment. I made one business card and pinned it to the message board advertising my fA & dA accounts. We'll see what happens. If you spoke with me or saw the card, shoot me a note :D

I signed my lease last night and now I have my first apartment in America! I'm super excited, and I will finally get to see all of my household goods from Japan pretty soon. I also have some stuff that I haven't seen since 2007. It's been so long that I don't even remember what's in there. haha.

so i know that i haven't been on at all lately and i'm sorry about this. i have been working a lot and should have been working on my admissions essays for u of m. i only have one of four essays written so far and the deadline is october 1st. i know that it's not that close but it feels like it is for me... especially since i don't like to write at all. i'm finding it difficult to force myself to write these essays. if any of you guys reading this are any good at writing stories or know what college admission deans are looking for in these types of essays, please let me know. i need all the help i can get but that doesn't mean i want you to write it for me. i just need people to look over what i wrote myself and help me edit it. meh, i can't even think straight right now. sorry for rambling, i feel kinda stressed at the moment. anywho, if you would like to help me with these essays either comment here, pm me, or email me. thanks yo

so i just finished watching Love In Disguise starring wang lee hom... and it is now my new favorite movie. not just because lee hom is in it either. it's a taiwanese movie so it's in chinese with english subtitles. anywho, i love this man. i would have his babies. lol.

i'm going through bouts of creativity and then artist's block. i'm not quite sure what my deal is lately. *sigh*

in other news, i'm really really thinking about starting my own fursuit partial of cyndal. if i were to make one soon then i'll probably be going to MFF for sure. i'm doing a lot of research at the moment. whenever i start making my fursuit i will have a photostream up on flickr of the process. i really appreciate those who do that and i wouldn't mind doing that for others as well. i already ordered fur swatches from distinctivefabrics.com and i can't wait for them to get here. i'm planning on making a moving jaw balaclava style :3

i've decided to finally clean up my computer. i have a nice 1TB external hard drive but i rarely use it. all of my files have been piling up on my macbook slowing it down (since i don't ever get viruses lol (knock on wood)) anywho, this is a super daunting task since i have strict organizational rules for my files. *sigh* good thing i don't have to work today. lol. i'm also taking advantage of staying in a friend's room by ripping all of her cds. mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! *cough*

I'm afraid I may be slipping back into depression and I'm not liking it. Nothing seems to be going well for me at the moment and all I want to do is be left alone with my art. But my art tends to suck more when I'm depressed. I am losing motivation and I feel stuck. I hate it here. Sorry for venting but I can't say any of this on my facebook...

so true story... i bought a new router so i can steal intarwebz from the lady i'm living with. i was getting super sick of using thumb drives to transfer info from my laptop to her pc so i can upload them. i've been way too lazy to drive all the way to starbucks because that requires wearing clothes other than pajamas... i like my pajamas...

anywho, today really sucked ass. i can't go into detail but buying the router (and actually having it work for me) is helping me feel better. still working on my feral ref for cyndal. i'm such a perfectionist that everything i want to look good takes FOREVVEEERRRRR. it's annoying. i'm super jealous of artists that can pump out shit that looks amazing in like less than an hour. grrrrrrr. whatever it's a meh day. XP

alright, so tonight is my orientation at home depot and i start work next week tuesday! i haven't arted (yes that's my word for drawing/doing art... yes i know it is super similar to 'farted') since elusivefur's badge. it seems as tho my jones soda badges are a good thing and i like that.

i realize that i NEED to make a decent ref of cyndal. i have nothing really except that chibi one and i'm changing some small things. anyways, that's what i want to work on now. :)

i just want to appologize to everyone for the influx of submissions... i hadn't logged into FA for a while and have been slacking as far as my arts are concerned. i have been doing basically no digital art either which frustrates me since i know i should. either way, i AM glad that i'm doing art at all since i'm seeing an improvement even over a course of a couple months. i had no idea one could see improvement that crucial when no real training is involved.

Anywho, still no job yet so I want to open commissions. I don't really have a price list yet because i have never charged for art before... lol

Blah. I think I'm getting sick again. I get sick too often. Anyways, I've been drawing a LOT lately. It's an awesome change but it's not helping me get shit done at home and at work. I would much rather be drawing than doing something productive and seeing as though I have less than a month left in Japan, this is bad. Oh well. I'll get what I need to done. I'm not too worried about it. So yeah, hopefully I can push out things colored in Photoshop as well since most of my stuff is sketches. I love coloring on the computer, I just haven't been lately...

In other news, I'm officially going out with ! yay for love! *snugs*

So I've been super busy lately because I've been trying to get everything together to leave Japan and the Navy. Lots of running around and whatnot. I have been drawing but not as much as I'd like. Currently, it looks like I'll be flying back to the States between March 2nd and March 13th. Not sure on the date because they keep changing it on me. I guess the closer the date gets the more info I'll have. Regardless, I know I'll be able to make Furry Connection North in April and it'll be my first furry con! I'm excited! I think I'm gonna wear my Pikachu costume one day and my yukata another since the theme this year is Japan.

On another note,  midnasking is coming back from Hawaii today and I'm gonna pick him up from the airport! I didn't expect to miss him as much as I did so I'm super excited to see him! Yay! <3

so first off, i hope everyone's holidays went alright. oh, and happy new year too! things have been going a little strange for me lately. with work and my love life going to shit, i haven't drawn in a couple weeks. i did, however, order a new sewing machine last night with the help of some gift cards my dad got me for the holidays. hopefully i can start on some projects i've been wanting to do for a while now. either way, i'm sort of stuck in a depression and i don't normally draw when i'm feeling like this. hopefully i'll start feeling better soon so i can continue my art. :)

*wipes imaginary sweat from forehead* So I totally finished the chibi drawing I was doing of Cyndal. I'm pretty satisfied with the the color palette and design in general. Now I have to draw an anthro and feral version of her among other gift art for my friends irl. I'm going to be busy with art. *yawn* It's nice to be lazy but being lazy makes me not want to draw... stupid internet being so distracting. lol.

okay okay. so i think i got cyndal's colors down now. her base color is a gunpowder gray and her stripes are black. her nose is lime green and her tongue is the same color blue as those little blue m&m's. i haven't decided yet if her spots are boing to be black or white tho. her bangs and chest fluff are going to be tri-colored a darker gray than her base color, black, and then lime green at the tips. her ear fluff will be white. her feets will be off colored as well. i'm in the process of coloring a chibi version of her so you can see the basic design and color. i also am coloring the scans i've uploaded. since i'm in the navy and have been out to see for the past 3 weeks, it makes it difficult to color on my computer. i'm going on leave (vacation or holiday for you civilian types. lol) this afternoon for 2 weeks so i will get a lot accomplished. i'm excited! i haven't felt this inspired in years! rawr!

i'm having issues choosing a color scheme for cyndal. i love lime green, black and gray but it's difficult for me to make them all work together with her stripes. i don't want to do this but i'm going to be tweaking her design a little here and there until i get it the way i want to. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. <3

yep! so i'm new to furaffinity but not necessarily new to the online art community. i've been on deviantart since 2005 and still continue an account on there now but don't actively submit deviations anymore. i'm in the us navy but i'm getting out soon (like april or may, 2011) so i'll be able to focus a lot more on my art since i'll have more free time. uh, about me... i'm 26 but i look and act a lot younger. i'm short (only a hair taller than 5ft) but i have a big personality. the last art class i've taken was in middle school and that only consisted of pottery and making papier maché masks. my original medium and still all-time favorite would have to be mechanical pencil. i have a wacom bamboo pentablet but no scanner at the moment. if you see scans of my drawings, i've probably used the crappy scanner at work. i've also recently invested in a nice collection of copic markers so hopefully you'll see traditional colored art from me. i'm also trying my hand at painting but haven't done much with that yet. there's a door on my ship that i'm creating a mural on and will post pictures later. uh, i'm just about obsessed with cats and have considered myself a cat ever since i could remember. i have 5 tattoos and 2 of them are feline related. lmao. well, i can't think of anything else right now to write. i'm also kind of on watch and totally slacking but oh well. i will gladly answer any questions anyone might have so throw 'em at meh! over and out!
