After a couple years of wanting to join the Marine Corps, I actually found my true calling was to be an Airman. My grandfather and his two brothers were all pilots in the Korean war. I think what really made it click was the "$100 burger flight" I took for my birthday with my Aunt Jo. That, mixed with the hundreds of airplane stories from my dad really brought forth the need to pilot, or at least be involved with planes.

My good friend, and fellow fur, Jake and I were discussing planes one evening, and knowing he's a huge fan of anything involving aviation, I brought up piloting. We talked for hours, and eventually the Air Force was brought up. We exchanged stories of our grandparents and their involvement and soon we both learned that we really wanna join. It really makes me happy knowing I'll hopefully have one of my best friends with me, and someone I can be my weird little geeky furry self around.
