I'm very sad to hear the news that Jim Ward Dungeons & Dragons designer has left this world on March 18 2024. I got to meet him on a few occasions and will be forever grateful for that.

This is my final journal entry as I have decided to retire both D20 and old school gamers. It's been 14 years senc I started osg and i took over D20 many years ago. I just feel both pages have run there corse and it's time to say goodbye. First off want to thank my team both past and present, you made this page what it is with your contributions. To all my watchers both new and old, thank you all supporting this page. This was such an enriching time of my life and I will be forever grateful of all the opportunities that came with this. Time well spent sharing my thoughts, ideas and experiences with the world. Thank you all for 14 of the best years i had writing for you. Keep on gameing my friends. Take care and retro love forever. Its time for gary con again. This year we are going for 3 days Friday to Sunday. This will most likely be our last gary con. Its getting to crowded for the venue and some of the people i go see this is there last con/or don't even go anymore. I have always enjoyed the con and got some great memories, made many new fiends. Over the past few years team members have come and gone, as of now im (DJ Snowfang) the only active team member left. I have made many unfilled promises over the years as both OSG/D20 started to slow down. Im here to apologize, i not a writer, just a person who enjoys games and game history. At the time of writing and posting this i think OSG/D20 will have to be on hold, with real life getting in the way i don't have the time to research and post content that would befit the community to my standards. I have tried to make meet ups at cons, discord chats, wanted to game with people from the community to. I feel that i have left a bad image in peoples minds. Once again all the broken promises and failed updates have taken its toll on me. I want to be as transparent as possible but still keeping my privacy outside of the forums. I love this community and started OSG as a personal project, took on D20 as a side project. For now both OSG and D20 are goin on hold.

Thank you for all your support and contributions to the community over the years.
This isn't the end, but a new begin.

I'm happy to say D20 is off to Gary con in lake geneva WI, only there for sat march 26th. If your going and want to meet us please let me know we can arrange a time.
Gary con is a celebration of Gary gygax and his work with the most well known RPG ever made. This con is small and LOTS going on. We plan to drive in around 10:00am -11:00am stay for about 3 to 4 hours grab dinner and drive home. This is IF we can get a day pass, if not play it by ear and hope for the best.
Hopefully i can get some pics of TSR staff and some new places they opened related to TSR.
Hope to see some of you there, ill make a full report when we are back.

OSG/D20 talk show: I kind of want to start a small Q&A where everyone can join in live and ask questions, chat about random things. What would you feel is the best place to do this. Would you watch if i did?
The show would be about an hour (depending on how many show up) about 2x a month.

Streaming PSVR: This is one for sure i want to do again, I have some classic games and newer games i can stream.

I really didn't want to jump in just yet with this news but with people asking me about changing ownership and other things i feel i had to step in.
Im currently changing all pages (old school gamers, D20, old school gamers YouTube, old school gamers twitch) to a single person format.
This is how it use to be, with this change it will take a bit longer to make content. I feel i can take my time and work on longer more in-depth game reviews and history. Even start up some games again on twitch.
This is just a new beginning, i hope you will all understand.

To all who have made this page an amazing journey over the years, as with any it to must end. After much deep thought and life changes i have decided that it is time to move on. I have enjoyed meeting people and the opportunity to be a part of your games, this page opened up so much for me.

Normally in march part of the D20 crew head to a board gaming con, last year and now this year there will be no in person con. I do hope this year we have AQF and MFF in person, its always fun to meet up with everyone.

Today is gary gygax's birthday. He would have been 82 years old. Please take a moment today and wish him a happy birthday.

2 days ago in the orginal tsr offices, the first game of dungeons and dragons was played 40 years later. With ernie gygax as the DM. The house is beening converted into its original office like state to seve as a museum to the legacy that was TSR. https://tsrmuseum.com/ I hope to visit sometime soon and do a full report.

Brian Blume, Board Game Designer and partner for TSR has sadly passed away today.
As it stands all 4 partners for TSR inc have now passed away, once again to reunight and roll a new adventurer.
