A quick question for VHV readers
Posted 2 months agoVHV readers- How did you first find out about my comic? What lead you to reading it?
It's my birthday!
Posted 3 months agoI've just hit 31 years old. It feels weird to me, still thinking of myself as fairly young in my head, but knowing more things hurt and I can't live the same "stay up late wasting time online/playing videogames" life that I used to. At 31 years of age though, and one year into my full-time art experiment, I'm driven to think of the ways that God has blessed me-
For all the improvement I've made in writing and artistic skill, it has to be this little four digit number right here on Twitter that I posted.
Keeping humble with that number has been hard sometimes, and other times it's been all too easy, but most of the time it's a signal that I'm doing something right, even if I can't put a pin on it.
I hope and pray God continues to bless me, but more importantly, I hope he uses me to bless my audience online. Not a hair falls from my head without his will, and therefore not a single view or like happens without his will.

VHV Delay Upcoming
Posted a year agoCorrespondence with my clients for the current batch of commissions is taking longer than expected- I haven't even managed to sketch anything for VHV yet because I have (perhaps unwisely) spent a couple days just waiting!
Given that, VHV won't be releasing a new page next week. Meanwhile I have to figure out how to juggle these tasks gracefully behind the scenes. Sorry for being quiet!

Birfday Boy!
Posted a year agoI'm 30 now! What a ride it's been so far...
My twin brother had dreams of being a cook when he was little, and I never really thought much farther than "I guess I'll be an office worker and make a lot of money".
But it's surprising where life takes you- instead of any "normal" plans, I feel called by God to make a pittance off of my online drawing.
Yet at the same time I (at least for now), feel truly fulfilled. My art is enjoyed by over 2000 people, which is a lot more than I thought was possible, even if it's still less than I'm aiming for, and VHV is running so smoothly as a comic that I even enjoy reading it myself.
I'm going to be taking this week off of self-imposed obligations to enjoy my big three-oh, so we'll see what all I do for you online, but nonetheless I wish you well. ^^

Small summer break (Happy Early Fourth!)

My older brother is taking some well deserved time off from his job for the week of the Fourth of July, and he wants to spend some of that with my household.
This is great- except my comic is a pretty asocial thing to work on and I don't want to cut it so close this time.
Given that, I'll be taking it off too so I don't cut it as close as I did last week.
I'll be back to making more VHV next week!

Taking The Week Off (Sorta)
Posted a year agoTo whom it may concern, I'm going to be taking it easy this week and pushing back drawing the next page of VHV to next week.
Allergies are particularly bad for me this season and I'm not sure I'd be in the best to get it done well in time.
I'm also hoping the extra time will be what I need to figure out the next segment of the story as it's very important.
Expect more art later this week though, as I've had other, less pressing concerns I've put off for a while and doodles I wanted to do. :)

VHV Status (Schedule Slip Incoming!)
Posted a year agoI was doing fine on VHV script until I significantly deviated from it as I was writing the action scene.
As it stands, I need to catch up again and make the required edits.
I have no plans to make a new page this week, but last week's page should go public tomorrow.

Life Change: Commissions are Open!

As of last week, I quit my now-horrible job to attempt going full time artist for a year in order to grow my brand and gain a following.
I don't expect resounding success, but hopefully this will give me a leg up.
To that end, I'm currently opening 3 slots for my commissions! $20 for uncolored lines, $40 for colored lines, $60 for colored and shaded with simple BG and $80 for colored, shaded and full BG.

Work Gettin' Busy- Gonna Be Quiet for A While
Posted 3 years agoMy workplace is ramping up for the summer for about two weeks at least, so I probably won't be getting to my major projects for a while.
I'm attempting to take it easy where I can so I don't run myself ragged. Things will be back to normal soon.

Let me say it again, I don't care what you're into. There's a lot of my audience online who does not care what you're into.
VHV, A Secret Place, and all other works stemming from those works or myself in general are meant for a good narrative, or otherwise generally enjoyable art.
I have no ulterior motives.
I genuinely hope you enjoy my stories, and if you have not yet read them, I would like you to consider doing so.
And if there's some small part of certain members of my audience that enjoys what I make a little too much, not only do I acknowledge I can't stop it, I have no desire to police you.
But please keep my comments sections decent.
Let's just say that as a Christian creator that's the kind of thing that's important to me.
