Week 5 Theme and Prompts
Posted 12 years agoSorry for disappearing like that! Was moving/getting situated. Now that I'm back...
How about a new theme? Still life!
Monday, draw your favourite fruit!
Tuesday, draw something electronic, maybe your keyboard, maybe a ROBIT. :P
wednesday, draw your own hand
Thursday, look down at your leg and draw it in perspective!
Friday, draw a pile of junk (bottlecaps, sketchbooks, videogames, just anything thrown in a stack)
Saturday, find something non-living that inspires you, and draw it!
Sunday, pick your favourite challenge from this week, and draw it again at least once!
got myself run ragged trying to do commissions, and still behind on all teh things. :/
Remember, the person who does every days prompts, will get to work with me to choose the next weeks prompts!
Remember everyone, to have fun! You're not "better" or "worse" than anyone else, you're just at a different spot in the same journey!

Week 3-4 theme and prompts
Posted 12 years agoI apologize for not having prompts for this week, I'm currently moving, and will be unable to check my computer (as its being moved) or update anything/upload art, for almost 2 weeks. :/
this makes me sad face... buuut...
My prompts for the next two weeks are...
SONG PROMPTS! What is your favourite music and why???
Pick your favourite song, and draw art inspired by it!
for each sequential day after that, listen to the song from the day before, and whatever song it makes you want to listen to, listen to that, and then draw art inspired by it!
confused? heres an "example"
Wolvie wanted to listen to "mama - my chemical romance" i would draw art inspired by that.
the next day, i would listen to "mama- my chemical romance," and want to listen to "silicone lube - feed me" so i would draw art inspired by that.
the next day, i would listen to "silicone lube - feed me," and want to listen to "military storm - trance mix" so i would draw art inspired by that... etc. :P
have fun, i'll see you guys in 2 weeks! :/

Week 1 theme and prompts

What better way to get things started than by having an introductory week? Let everyone get their characters and a little bit about themselves out. Although I hope this gets to be a decent sized group, I also want this to be a group where everyone can be friends and talk to each other.
Please don't be scared to ask for help from me, or anyone else! Over the years I have approached many AMAZING artists, and most are perfectly willing to give tips, hints, and help!
THEME: Introductions
Prompts:
Monday- Draw yourself!
Draw a human, animal, monster, anything at all, that you feel represents yourself. Could be your fursona, or a different one of your characters, or something completely off the wall, as long as you feel it represents you in some way!
Tuesday- Draw your favourite animal!
Draw what your favourite living thing is. Can be anything, as long as its an animal! mythical or otherwise! Maybe you'll draw yourself again? who knows!
Wednesday- Draw your favourite plant!
This one is challenging for a lot of people, because... well, "background elements" are hard. But that means you just have to put in some extra effort right? Draw a plant that you like. Maybe you think its pretty, or maybe it means something special to you!
Thursday- Draw yourself doing what you like most!
Go ahead and pick something you like doing, and draw a character, maybe yourself, doing it! For me, thats lots and lots of videogames!
Friday- Draw what you think you're best at!
Some aspects of your art, you know you're better at than others. maybe its a whole species, maybe its just an ear, or paws. Draw what you think you're good at. Personally, I'm a big fan of teeth. :P
Saturday- Draw what you think you're worst at!
Same as yesterday, but things you know you need to work on. Again maybe its a species... or two? maybe its eyes, or a nose. Draw whats hard for you, the more you practice, the better you get!
Sunday- Pick someone else, and draw them!
Go ahead and look through others posts, and draw a character that you found interesting. A lot of the time, I will advertise that I want characters, to work on. Sometimes, it can be more fun to draw others characters, than your own!
To post, Write your name in a comment, and then "reply" to your own name, with your different uploads! Feel free to upload a couple days at once!
You can always do the days out of order, or go back and do something you missed/skipped. I know I'm updating this on a Tuesday, but I was waiting til the first to start our new group on track!
Feel free to invite friends and anyone you may think would be interested! We're still looking for administrators! Admin consideration information can be found here!

Critique Admins!
Artists, or art fans, with a good eye, who can give some constructive criticism to those who request critiques. I would like these people to log in once or twice a week to give suggestions and helpful advice to the requesting artists. These administrators can also request a critique from another admin.
If you're interested in a critique admin position, please send a NOTE with your information, availability, and skills you think would be relevant. As well, give a critique (as you would for anyone else) on one of these pieces. (they're my own, didn't want to offer up random peoples art to be looked at without permissions. ^^;)

Submission Admins!
Artists, or art fans, who will help vote on which submissions will be submitted each month! They will browse through the people with the most participation for the month, and pick which images they think look best, and all the admins will vote! These admins will browse the weekly submissions to the journals, as well as clear journals and submissions from those we watch!
If you're interested in a submission admin position, please send a NOTE with your information, availability, and skills you think would be relevant.
Theme and Prompt Admins
Artists, or art fans, who will help write and update the themes and prompts. TaP admins will vary the themes and present them to the other admins for discussion. They may be posted in journals for the members to vote on as well! Themes and prompts can be anything from "fruit- pineapple, orange, apple, banana, etc" to "wolves- maned wolf, grey wolf, red wolf, etc."
If you're interested in a theme and prompt admin, please send a NOTE with your information, availability, and skills you think would be relevant.

Help us design a mascot! can be any species, male or female (please no herms!) artwork of all levels is accepted, don't EVER think your art isn't good enough!! Everyone starts somewhere. Can be any color, any design, anything you put your mind to! I /personally/ would prefer if there were no neon, glo-brite, rainbow, or sparkle creatures. They're hard for a lot of people to see, and I would like this group to be friendly to all! They are more than welcome for daily draw submissions, but I'd honestly like to have the mascot more "people friendly."
