So yeah, THAT game that was hyped a lot during the release of D3. It's out now.

Ofcourse I can't access the internet games because I forgot my password, and the Runic Games website is down because of high traffic.

I've been spending hours in the old Guild Wars the past few days after a friend helped me and got me to use a different line-up for my Heroes, now I've been breezing through content and unlocking several items in the Hall of Monuments to use in GW2.
And to think I quit playing GW years ago because I found it too hard and I had no concept of skill synergy, something the game relies heavily on. >.<

Anyway, I'll end up playing on European servers, server name: Piken Square.

Long story short:
-kitchen renovation caused a lot of fine chalkdust to flutter around the house
-fine dust came up in my room
-fine dust collected in a very fine layer on top of my screen, unnoticable when you come home in the evening and draw in a not-so-well-lit room
-dust possibly stuck to my glove and the tip of my nib, scratched the glass surface of my Cintiq with a 7 cm long gouge, along with several smaller cuts

FUCK!

I can't even ignore it, it's -right there- in the middle of the screen, distorting the image :C

I am sad now... But I'll suck it up and live with it. This probably wouldn't be covered by warranty anyway because
a) normal wear-and-tear isn't covered
b) me not keeping the surface cleaned could be negligence.

Okay not really. Made you look hahaha etc.

Now to be serious, what programs would people suggest to record drawing sessions with?

I know it's goddamn stupid to complain about unauthorized art usage by the furry community of F-List because it's like pissing on a hot iron, but geez!

How many times do I have to get notes here from people telling me someone is using images of Alizee for their monkey characters?
You can try and shoot the messenger, but in the end it's still me sending out the contact form and asking to have the images removed.
I don't care what the motivations are. "I don't have money to pay for my own commissions". "I didn't know!" "WE DIDN'T LISTEN!". "I don't care!"

I go to the contact page, link my original submission and WHOOP! Hit the submit button. Am I being anal about it? Ofcourse.

The only decency I found about the images is that they've had the courtesy not to remove my signature... for now.

Feeling chatty and weird, a bit, kinda.. question time!

Wrote a lenghty journal, but then I hit a wrong button and erased it all. ._.
Short version now:

Old internet : ADSL at 2Mbps (was advertised at 12Mbps, but with distance limitations and stability tweaks, they only gave us 2Mbps >>> 256KB/sec. Sucked, couldn't play a game without getting massive lag if someone in the house started watching Youtube videos.

New internet: VDSL2 at 16Mbps (advertised 25Mbps, reduced again because of distance limitations but not as drastic as the ADSL distance limits.). Now downloading at 1,5MB/sec, internet can prioritize and divide bandwidth properly among applications to cause close to no interference between gaming and other activities. No more parents lagging me up when they watch clips on their iPad. Yay.

Will probably be available for streaming a bit more often now, be it gaming or drawing. Now to work on my phone shyness and use voicecom more often in gaming or elsewhere.. ;C

So yeah, playing Tera on EU right now. Great, haven't been productive all weekend because of it :I

Headstart has been good fun so far, White Lion mount from the preorder looks fantastic, but the constant grunts and moans it makes CONSTANTLY while idle, running... it's super fucking annoying. Though I heard they've been petitioning to have that removed. Great, now you can also remove the grunts and sounds while dancing too? Because uuuugh.

Though, I really, really should stop and get remaining commissions done. I've been terribly tardy with them and I want to apoligize for not working on them at a faster rate. It's for exactly this reason why I'm not asking for early payments if I haven't even started drawing yet.

Got my manperiods again and feeling down. The world around me is changing and I'm unable to cope with this. People I've known and lost contact with since highschool have grown up, moving out, getting married, are having children.. while I'm sitting here, terrified of the world.
Social networks suck, all you'll see are the successes of others, never the failures. You see all the fun they're having, and part of me wishes I could be the same fun-loving, outgoing guy.
But I'm not.
Nothing interests me. Nor can I remain fanatically interested in something for a long time.

Friendships are still pretty much nonexistant. Sure, I know people online and they're great fun to talk to. But I don't know these people. I'll never truely know these people, no matter how many times I say "I care", or "I understand". Frankly, I'll never understand because my mind won't let me understand, and I'm avoiding all the experiences I could've had in my life to make me understand.
To make a crude statement: if I were to die tomorrow, no one in this digital world would ever know.

So far I've only had this weekend as my first hand-on experience, and I've got to say.... I don't hate it.
While the initial design and layout is still very Korean MMO (really, sometimes it just doesn't make sense to see the creatures running around in the environment they're in), the action- based combat is rather refreshing.
So far, only two classes have been tested during my play (more to as of why only two later on), starting with the Slayer. A pure damage, light-armored two-handed sword wielder. Frankly, the first levels felt rather "meh" with this one to me. I didn't get him to level 14 yet, which was the point my bud described as the turning point where Slayers are, after being rather dull, becoming awesome and fun. Maybe I'll get to test him some more when the next Beta weekend comes around, but so far I've been more occupied with...
The Lancer.

HO-LY-SHIT!

You're the tank, you're the one with the heavy armor, a big lance and a big shield to hide behind. Now, the fun thing about him here is the amount of mitigation that gives you. In the standard format MMO's like WoW, your block is often determined by a % chance, or a long cooldown activated skill. Here, it's your bread-and-butter skill, actively raising your shield whenever you require (succesfull blocks drain mana, though).
Now, because you're actively blocking everything by yourself, you're not subjected to random chance anymore, and with decent equipment you fully block incoming damage.

Oh no, it's a quest which requires a party of 5 according to the quest log? Fuck you, I'm a Lancer, I solo this bitch! Sure, it took me like... 10 minutes of constant blocking and counterattacking, only sustaining myself with a 1 minute self-heal skill. But there's a great amount of satisfaction for me when I can fully block out incoming damage from a monster 10 times my size while it's charging into me. Plus it's the best kind of practice you can get for the instances, too.

Okay, now onto something I'd suggest or change.. Altering keybindings. They're alright, but they could be improved upon.
I'm not a WASD player, I've grown into becoming a lefty mouse user when gaming because my old drawing setup was; right hand tablet, left hand mouse for other quick actions. Either that, or they've kept telling me since I was young that I should be using my mouse left-handed... don't ask me why, crazy family I'm telling you.
Anyway, I've been able to alter most of the keybinds to be suitable for me, but there's ONE button that has been hard-coded into the game to be locked on the Spacebar. And that's the combo-chain button.
Many skills and conditions allow you to perform a combo-chain or reaction (as a lancer, I could retaliate after being knocked down, for instance, followed by charging into the opponent. Now, since the Retaliate is only available in ONE moment, it's not worth it keeping it on the hotkey bar, and the reaction button is awesome. But because I've bound all my keys to the numpad, I often miss out on a reaction press because the Spacebar is out of range.
Just allow me to change that button as well, and I'll be happy!

Speaking of keybinds, allow us to make global changes to keybinds as well. Having to set up keybinds seperately for every character is goddamn annoying.


... now to get back to drawing because shit, I still didn't finish those commissions.

God damnit my mind is doing it again! This should be a simple thing to take care off, but my mind is twisting and turning this into ways that make me feel like it'd be a lifechanging experience. It's always like this! For everything!

For my last stream I used Livestream, but I'm ready for suggestions if others have suggestions on what to use instead.

- Livestream? Twitch.tv? What else is out there? I had an easy time with Livestreams Procaster, but I don't like having a bunch of different softwares on my PC for one single purpose.
- Clean? Mature? I did mature on Livestream, I don't know wether it's acceptable or not really... there's a disclaimer at least?

God I should stop being such a scrub and move out of the house already so I can make this a common thing.

Right, I know I've made a post about looking for DD people to play with, and I don't poke them often enough on Steam if I do have a game rolling (I hate to be the person online pestering others asking them to play with me).
But since I've been trying to get my characters leveled (only one made it past 70 so far) and get some decent equipment, I've been trying to hop into public games. Which have a high ratio of sucking ass. My pet peeves:

- "laaaaag!" ... well, if there's lag for everyone, it's the host's fault.
- people kicking you for not speaking their language (mostly a EU problem)
- people kicking you because they're too stupid to figure out how to set up a private game.
- People looting everything in sight. Frankly the game doesn't explain anywhere that every item left behind after each round will automaticly be be turned into mana and divided among the players, but heck, looting everything for yourself still gives YOU the most profit.
To which I want to redirect them again to LEARN TO SET UP A FUCKING PRIVATE GAME.
- people who keep their mic on non-stop with static sounds, grunts and coughs and gibberish talking.

What? I'm lvl 72, but I deserve a kick because I'm not sporting Mythical gear? No shit, you fucks do nothing but deny me any attempt at improving my gear either.
When I get kicked out from a game 7 times out of 10, there is a problem with those folks.

I... guess it could work? The way skills work, you can only keep 8 skills available on your skill bar at all times, and targetting isn't limited to single-target like in most MMO's.
But for community interaction.. how did it go with FFXI - XIV on the consoles? Did most players use a keyboard for that anyway?

I'll still be playing the PC version anyway, the prospect of a Charr Engineer, Ranger or Thief still seems like a do want to me.
