What Is BFS? BFS stands for Beautiful Freakshow.
I tend to enjoy the odd, the strange, the unique, the exotic. I am one of a kind and I want my characters to have that same feel, to stand out physically, mentally, or in another way.

I will still be doimng my tarot cards, and crafts, But This new one will be more organized :)

I have been noticing some things lately, and as I try and get everything ready, A new ID, a new avatar, a new fursona, and more. I have begun to feel a higher voice speaking to me, helping me to understand who I am as a person and an artist.

As a person: I am quiet, I am passive, I am a freak, but I am full of ideas. In a recent job, I discoveed it didnt work out because the one in charge kept trying to force me to change who I was. I was not allowed to be myself, but instead they insisted that in order to succeed, I had to take on the "standard" personality. This in turn would have come at a heavy cost. The more I tried to force myself to adapt this "standard issue" personality, more outgoing, more aggressive, more talkative. The more my creativity left me. And the less interest drawing seemed to hold for me. If I had stayed, I would have likely lost my creative drive entirely.

I will always try and offer help when I can, Whether its though a listening ear, the consultation of my tarot cards, or just helping to look at things from a different perspective.
I am a Freak, one of many minds, and many voices. I seek to create from an enlightened perspective. I will not conform to standard issue in order to 'succeed'

As an artist: As I have done my art, Ihave noticed a few pattens that are likely normal and will result in some restructuring of my prices, :) First of which I have begun to understand that whether traditional or digital, the sketches are just best done in a pencil and paper sketchbook. I try doing them digitally and the sketches just dont seem to look right. Maybe if I can pick up a cintiq for cheap or something it would help, but I feel more comfortable sittin down with a traditional sketchbook in my lap and working.

I am an artist who will try almost anything once, again if I like it. But please understand I do not come up with these ideas on my own. What I am capable of must have an outside source, The more suggestions people give me, the more I can do. But It has to Be SUGGESTED first. Bondage? suggest it and I will try it. Lactation? I didnt do it till it was suggested. got a particular kink you want to see me try? Well likely wont try it on my own, you would have to suggest it.

As well as Oppositional Defiance disorder, ADHD/ADD. Bi-polar, (recovered)epileptic (There hasnt been any seizure activity in my brain, but that doesnt mean its not possible). They are part of who I am, some may say I am using them as a crutch, regardless, they still exist.

So I am learning, I know I am a freak, an oddball, 1 of a kind. I seek to enlighten and assist others, to help bring ideas into shape and form. But I refuse to discard parts of my personality just for the sake of being successful. Afte all, there is No way you could be successful AND be yourself, right?

So I encouage people to enjoy my art, and If my declaration that I will not become just another cog has angered you, then by all means unwatch me, I will not stop you. But I refuse to become just another artist who must conform to a set checklist in order to be popular. I will try many different things and keep what I like. But I will not abandon who I am for the sake of more watches, more commissions, more...anything.

I really dont care at this point what people say...it is feelin more and more like my identity is tainted..and I really cannot shake it off.
and its getting to the point where I am ready to start over. Ready to just recreate my identity, my fursona. EVERYTHING.

I know I cant do anything about my art style. But people keep telling me not to change it.
But my higher voices tell me it is getting closer to where this NEEDS to be done.

I am already at the point where the observations I noted have convinced me there is no longer a point to just tossing up a stream. So for the time being I am reserving them down to private streams.
I know I am learning but I tried to offer some requests and it ended up a total mess...with me feeling like shit. Feeling like a used tissue. Is that what an artist is supposed to feel like?

Regardless, I look at my identity now, and all I can think of is how...tainted..it feels.

I need a change..I need to reinvent. I am getting closer to the point where I am ready to hit that reset button.

As it is now. I just...want to cry. I clearly cant compete with all these others.

Streams are done for now: if someone gets a commission they can request a private stream and call in who they want. But I need to sort some things out. I cant keep doing this.

I know people are going to convince me to keep this account, to keep this shell..to keep feeling used like this..
But at this point I really dont care. I need to think some things out. I want to be able to give sketches I want to be able to welcome new watchers with free arts. But how can I do that when I cant even be taken seriously.
I dont know..I am just...confused...upset.

I am gonna go soak in a bubblebath and think about what needs to be done...
I may just start working on that new fursona...that new identity..a new....me.

I have been thinking lately after someone who shall remain nameless has been giving me advice that is not needed. And in a way that is unwanted.

essentially this person has been, and still is, trying to give me advice which comes across as "stop being yourself, and do it this way like everyone else"

I am a self-taught artist. And while I can appreciate people wanting to help me out, there is a limit. Telling me that offering to ink other people's sketches to learn to do lineart is wrong, that its little more than a crutch... No.

I have my own way of learning. I am not going to just forget what works for me and do what "Everyone else does" It may seem like a crutch to you, but it is an effective way for ME to learn.

I am not trying to be rude but If you cant accept me for myself and insist on constantly trying to force me to conform into YOUR standard definition of an "Artist" by telling me that the method that I learn best by is "wrong" or "just a crutch". Then Please do me a favor, Unwatch me, Never message me again. And Let me learn in a way that I FEEL IS BEST and stop trying to change me to conform to your ideas of "You can only learn by doing A,B, and C" Because that kind of negativity I do not need.
That was what nearly killed off my creativity in the first place. and I will NOT let it happen again.
Every artist is unique, every artist has different methods of learning.
But clearly in all your "Experience" you have come to see artists as carbon copies of each other and therefore seek to strip away thier individuality.

Again, I have my flaws, I DO have mental disabilities (Asperger's Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, Bi-polar, etc) as much as you passed them off as just excuses. I still have them. I have flaws I try my best to get around. If you, or anyone else, cant handle it. Please unwatch and move on.
As an artist I want to learn new methods, which will replace old ones I no longer need.
What I DONT need is someone constantly telling me "Arts! UR DOIN IT WRONG!" and telling me the methods that work best for me are just a crutch.

I appologize for the ranty-ness but I had to get this off my chest. Its been building up on my brain for a while. Sorry again, but whats said is said, I bare my soul. Just cant stand people who believe that you can ONLY learn a certain way. And any other way is a crutch or not learning anything at all.

Keep in mind while these bands heavy on time investment. While the materials arent that expensive, the bands require ALOT of time invested in them.

So its been a few days sinse my stylus took an unexpected Bath. and I was sure that meant my stylus (and by extention my tablet) was fried. But I tried it today and...IT WORKED! I am not sure how well but it WORKED nonetheless. This means I can go back to doing digital art :D I can go back to doing sketches and such .

So I think tonight I will offer some discounted commissions and 1 for 1s (For every commission I get, I will offer a free sketch :)

So Yeah, I was so ready and raring to go, got everything planned, and as I was trying to think of how to construct the scene...twirling my stylus in my fingers (its how I think best)...It slipped, bounced across the room (tried to catch it)...and took a BATH in the kitchen sink...which still had dishwater in it...

Curious to see if anyone would be interested in seeing how this goes. I mean first there was Pay what you wants, and then came along the "your character here"s

So now, assuming it hasnt already been done. Fill In the Blanks.

Here is How it works.
It can be a sale, or it can be an auction.
The Artist will Create a Phrase..But OMIT some of the words. Leave it up for 24hours or more. And Let it generate comments. But these comments can include words to fill in the blanks. Get wild and crazy..After the Time ends, there is two ways for it to go.

The artist can finish the selection ONLY using the words suggested In the comments. And then draws that picture as a commission. Or Whoever pays for the picture/auction...THEY get to choose the words from the comments. Or maybe it wouldnt have a price, but if they want to put the word in they could buy out that slot and THEY would get to choose the word.

For example. I would create the sentence

"[Blank] licks a [blank] covered in [blank] while sitting in a [Blank] [blank] [blank]!"

And say from the comments, If no one bought it, I would get to choose one of my own characters, If they pay for it, they can choose any character, thiers or mine. So may get some strange combinations. Maybe something like...:

"Archer licks a Taco covered in jellybeans while sitting in a Bowler Hat Hottub"

and of course THAT would be the commission, THAT would be what I draw. It might spur some cringes, might get a few chuckles..and maybe a whole LOT of "WTF?!"s

Of course it can be anything from G-XXX But its an idea.

SO what happened?

Well that "squeaker" you detroyed in your last match decided to get you back by finding out your location and Identity, then PRANK CALLING your local Police office claiming to Be You and threatening to do a bunch of horrific crimes. Enough to warrant the Local SWAT team to hunt you down and bust down your door.
Its what the game has degraded into, these little kids who dont like being beaten so "punish" anyone who beats them in a Multiplayer match by prank calling the local SWAT teams on thier opponents after they lose.

It is one reason why I am NEVER going to buy another CoD game. I promise you that.
I was toying with the idea of giving it another shot, But Now...NAH, Not happenin bro!

I cant stand the selfishness and 'all about me" attitude that Call of Duty has nurtured. It infects and destroys other games as well.

Sorry But I just have to get this off my chest.

I appreciate it if people who like my art, really I do.
But I cannot eat compliments, I cannot eat art appreciation.

My prices are what they are because I work hard at my commissions. I live off what I make. It goes to food, bills, and fun. But mostly food.
So I had someone who got a commission (and I will not be accepting any future commissions from this person)
Who I was under the impression wanted a full color profile picture. He said color, so I assumed he meant full color unless he told me otherwise. Of course this was a bust so I was willing to discount it.

However When I asked how much they expected to pay for it (I offered $30). They said they had expected it for $15-$20. This was after a full color image was pretty much nearly done (minor highlights and touchups needed)
the reason for this heavily discounted price: They had gotten some art from me a few years back and "I like ur art"

This...just killed my mood. I put down my stylus and probably wont pick it back up tonight.
I am tempted to just delete the image and drop the commission. Because I am getting some bad vibes.
as I stated, I will not be accepting any further commissions from this person.

Like I apparently JUST found out about this after watching a tutorial on digital tutors....

WHY HAS NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS BEFORE! OMG! LOL I mean I tried it out and...
compared to what My lineart was before...its like night and day!
I use Manga studio and they have a bunch of different ruler brushes...and I mean How come no one ever told me it looked this good. Tempted to stream just to show it off. Its like a big improvement compared to my old linework...
And I was able to let this all sink in :)
Definately gonna be using this as more standard now! Now that I have discovered it

Yeah So I got it, and I love it.
If they were gunning for a revival, they went in the right path. All the subtle things, going all the way back to Gen 1 and seeing like Mr. Mime, Caterpie, Weedle, and nidorina..
the super training is a big Plus. I mean I had a combee with no defence at all, now I can train it to actually be able to survive a fight without being dealt a 1-hit TKO from a pokemon 4 levels BELOW it.
