New Game, Same Idiot
Posted 12 years agoHello, guys! Blu3Danny here, now with a shiny, brand new journal entry!
It's the month of October now, which means that we're close to yet another good ol'-fashioned spook-filled Halloween... but screw that! I'm not going to talk about Halloween... at least not yet.
I don't think I've made an announcement about this yet... but...
I've moved- again! This time, however, now I live on my own... and to be perfectly honest, I kind like it better this way.
Now I just worry about myself, and to be honest, living alone could be a great experience for me- who knows the sort of things I could accomplish while living on my own; besides, my new apartment is SUPER comfortable!
The best thing about it is that I have nearly everything at my disposal- including my own scanner! So that will make things easier for me to scan, and produce stuff more quickly for you guys to enjoy! ;D
Right now, I'm planning to save up for a bike so it's easy for me to get to places- I may not have a driver's license, but a bike is the second best choice I have. Besides, it's good exercise. ;P
Okay, so I've officially started my 6th quarter of Animation, and things are getting TOUGH- I'm at a very crucial point in my college career in which I'm no longer considered to be a lightweight- I AM an animator now, so I've gotta start acting like one.
The great thing about this quarter, though, is that the classes are MUCH easier and less stressful than my last quarter classes, so I SHOULD be able to post stuff here more regularly.
Let me tell you guys something- the best thing about this is that I've learned SO many cool new things and techniques that have helped my improved on my artwork- I mean, I don't know if you guys have noticed this, but I feel as my art HAS jumped in quality- quite dramatically I might add. I've been VERY pleased with my latest pieces, and they've been getting some really nice praise from you guys as well, so I will DEFINITELY be doing more stuff like this.
Plus, I feel like I MAY have finally found my style- maybe I'm getting too excited, but I think I finally found the way I found a style I'm satisfied with. It may be too early to tell, but I think I've got it!
Okay, I think now I'll start showing you guys some of my animations.
Why haven't I been doing so already? Well you can blame DeviantART for that! For some God-forsaken reason, DA refuses to accept MOV files... EVEN after I've converted my animations to MP4s. So, I quite frankly don't know what DA wants me to do about it.
If you guys know what type of files DA will accept for animations... please tell me- I would LOVE to show you guys some of the stuff I've been working on in class just to show you some of my progress and, of course, to hear your thoughts until then.
]DA can go sit on some broken bottles for all I care- just like how they're doing to me, right now.
Okay, I'm pretty sure you guys are sick about hearing some of my personal bullshit- so time for some fun! That's right, now I'm going to announce some of my upcoming drawings and artworks for DA (and FA/Weasyl)just so you guys know what to keep your heads up for.
[Concept Designs for Girls]
If you guys have been paying attention, for the past few weeks, or so, I've been making concept designs for certain girl characters- so far, I've drawn Fox, Gloria and Koopa Troopa in this fashion...
... but why?
I'll get on this when I start talking about Commissions later on down this journal.
[Timeless- Redux]
I may go back and redesign some of the characters that I've drawn already- but instead of making a brand new drawing, instead I'll redraw the characters and remaster their pics digitally- NOW that I've been in a great mood to do digital art!
So, expect to see some characters change... some for the better!

Miss Nickelodeon Pageant
Posted 12 years agoMiss NickelodeonIt's official. I'm doing it! That's right, summer's here, and it's time to celebrate. Why? Because there's NO school; THAT'S why!
In honor of summer being here, I'm going to do something special; something called the Miss Nickelodeon Pageant. You can
What are the 5 stages? Well each stage I'll be working with a different type of medium. What I mean is, since this is going to be a long project and NO WAY IN HELL I'M MAKING ALL OF THESE PICS DIGITALLY! I'm going to incrementally rise up to digital color as we get closer to the end. So, in Stage 1, the pics will be done in pencil. In Stage 2, they will be inked. From Stage 3-onward, they will be colored.

Wow... it's been a wile since I've written a journal. So this should liven tings up. ^^
I don't know if I'm the only one who's noticed this... but... is it just me... or is EVERYBODY having their birthday in May? Myself included.
Although, I'm not really complaining, it's just something funny I thought I'd point out. With that said...
... my birthday is coming up in just a few days! Yep! I'll be turning 19 pretty soon. 19... wow... I'm one year away from being, officially an adult... well, in my eyes speaking; two years in the eyes of the law.

Yep, I'm feeling inspired again! Now that I feel like I'm out of a rut... I can back into another one! XD But really, some time off was all I needed, Now I feel like I can take on the WORLD!

Anywho, I STILL don't have internet at my dorm, but I am home for Memorial Day weekend, which means, I won't have to head back to class 'till Tuesday, in the meantime, I'll be catching up in some due work.

Okay, so I've been gone for a good two weeks or so; well, I've been stuffed with a lot of stuff from my new college life. Aside from routine homework (which I'm actually really into!) I've actually moved apartments. My roommate, Cody, and I, moved out with two new people, called Ryan and Mike, who are really cool.
Now, a big part of the reason why I haven't been on for so long, is because I STILL don't have internet in my apartment (and cable for that matter). So, I can only communicate on DA every time I visit my parents' home. Which is how I'm doing this right now. Aside from that, I've been doing relatively well- classes sure are tough, though. Although they are MUCH more enjoyable than high school.
...aaaand it's also part of the reason why I haven't been posting lately, the other is lack of inspiration. Anyway, I'm going to be floating back on normal ground once I have internet, which should be in about two weeks.

News from the South!
Posted 13 years agoHi guys, I haven't posted a new journal in a while. As you guys know I now live in Dallas. Since I haven't updated my status in a while I thought I'd let you know what's going on here in my new college life.
First of all, I live in an apartment now! Now I'm on my own... except not really- I have roommates. Three roommates to be exact, Cody, Billy and Greg. I don't have internet or cable, so if you guys were wondering why I haven't updated that's why. Also, no scanner- I haven't really been drawing much lately anyway; so the only way I can upload anything, at the moment, is my using my iPhone's camera. So, expect bad quality.
It has been my first week of school at the Institute already, and it hasn't been very eventful. I still need to get a job... and some actual homework.
My family has finally found a house! In Abilene! So if you guys live in either Dallas or Abilene, make sure to give me a visit. ;)
Well, those are my personal news for the moment.

The reason why I'm saying that is because this time I want YOU my watchers to tell me, which of these two movies I should review. First of all, I live in an apartment now! Now I'm on my own... except not really- I have roommates. Three roommates to be exact, Cody, Billy and Greg. I don't have internet or cable, so if you guys were wondering why I haven't updated that's why. Also, no scanner- I haven't really been drawing much lately anyway; so the only way I can upload anything, at the moment, is my using my iPhone's camera. So, expect bad quality.
It has been my first week of school at the Institute already, and it hasn't been very eventful. I still need to get a job... and some actual homework.
My family has finally found a house! In Abilene! So if you guys live in either Dallas or Abilene, make sure to give me a visit. ;)

That's right- I'm going down to the state of the Lone Star. I'm moving down with my family to Texas so I can live close to my college (which I'm going to be starting next week...)
So, until I live in an actual house again, or am lucky to find a scanner, I won't be able to post any artwork. I mean I'm still working- you just won't be able to see anything until further notice. I'm still going to be on the website though.

I need answers! This is not really when I had this thing scheduled to happen but, do tell me- what should I draw?
I know I have ideas for things to draw- I'm working on some of them right now; still, I wanna hear if you guys have some requests in mind.
I do have some rules on requests though, pay attention... (*cough)
1. It's going to be in black and white. If there's color added on it will be a surprise decision on my behalf.
2. If this request involves multiple characters, I will only draw up to a maximum of 4.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
3. What kind of content do you want it to be- whether it is kid-friendly or extremely adult- is not of a concern to me. It can be anything.
4. There will be no background- unless I say otherwise.
5. I will ink them, but that's up to you if you DO want your request inked.
6. NO COMICS. If so, they can only be a one-page long idea/gag. If it doesn't end up being on page, that may be a personal adjustment on by behalf; regardless, nothing lengthy, please.
7. If you have multiple ideas, let's just vote on a conclusion. I don't want to do too many request, as I have my own scheduled projects as well.
And that's it. The reason why I want to do this, it's just to mix things up a little and not <i>COMPLETELY</i> follow an organized schedule. I do want to go a little out-of-left-field.

Now, now, as far as anything or anybody is concerned, if something in this account has gone down, is my credibility and reliability- though I'm surprised you guys have been very patient with me the whole way thorugh, and for that, I thank you guys for being so loyal all the way through. Time to Start Over
Posted 14 years agoHello guys, DDH here once again and quite possibly for the last time. Now, I understand I've been through a super HUGE hiatus, and I don't really wanna sum it up with the same excuse that I'm sure you guys are sick and tired of hearing from me for months (or at least the days I've actually been online) but to say it: school happened.
I did NOT expect to get so wrapped up in my Junior year stuff, I've also had a lot of family stuff to go through, and now comes the Senior year... I've been paying a lot of attention to my academic and social side and, don't get me wrong, I've had the most productive year in my life; and I've enjoyed every bit of it, but I'm a little sad- okay, not sad, but upset- that I haven't been in touch my artistic side and well, I haven't drawn anything in months!
Now I am going to pick up my pencils and some paper once again, and I'm going to start filling my gallery with new stuff...
...that is if you're even remotely interested in keeping an eye on my lazy ass again... and I do apologize greatly if any of you guys are P.O.'d at me because of my absence, which in that sense, if I ever do anything like this again, you are more than welcome to come to my house and beat the ever-loving crap out of me. I'll even pay for your plane ticket or gas or bus fare depending on how you actually plan to get here.

A little Christmas Cheer... (for you guys anyways)
Posted 15 years agoOkay guys, I know I've been been SUPER-absent and I'm FREEZING right now- I don't know what draft is sneaking into my bedroom, and I still have three days of high school insanity waiting right in front of me. So...
As you guys probably know by now I've been extremely busy catching up with school and such, but I've finally been able to scrap up any free time that I've made to post any updates on life and... yeah.
Now a few things that I would like to mention are that now I'm going to try to keep up with a schedule, though I regret it, I really need to get organized if I'm going to survive school and actually be able to post anything here.
Okay the things I would like to talk about are a new comic, the new journal schedule, reviews, recreating Timeless and Commissions.
First up, the new comic. Now I am finally going to create Academic Survival: The World Tour as I've been mentioning for months now. The thing about me finally starting this is that I've finally gathered enough info and background to finally create a great (or at least I'm hoping it will be) story. Yes, I've taken a most of my free time to create the script and I finally have the story planned from start to finish. And I will start creating the pages of it soon. (And I'm praying to GOD right now, that I do NOT get any more stupid projects)
Journal schedules- now what I have in mind is that every Friday I shall write a new journal about, well pretty much anything- life, what's on TV, what's out on the movie industry etc. I will try to post a new journal by 9 p.m. every Friday.
One thing I plan to do every month now is a special, short comic strip about a specific topic. Now this review is going to be about something really random- why? Because I really wanna practice my comic-making skills. This month it's gonna be- I ain't telling, you'll find out December 30th. >:D
Yes, as I've stated earlier, I am going to recreate Timeless, because there's just so much chaos- too many characters, thin storyline- all that jazz; in fact some of the original characters don't even exist anymore! Now, since everything is still being recreated (when isn't Timeless EVER being recreated?) I can't assure when I'll be able to create the very first Timeless strip.
Now, Commissions. That's the one thing I really want to get to explain- though I don't think I can do that now; I'll discuss that on Friday. But here's the thing- since I dropped requests I really haven't had anymore to do, other than my recreations. That was until I was commissioned (If you want to know that story, note me) and I was paid pretty well- $25.50. Now, don't think the commissions is just a money grab, no, I do put my heart into it, but I do feel that I have developed my skills to say- "You know what? Not only did I get money from this, but I made something that somebody really enjoyed, something I enjoyed drawing. I could make something out of this, something where both parties would gain something." Now, I will discuss how the commissions thing on Friday as I said just so I can explain myself better.
Now I'm going to cut the journal right here because I'm freezing and really want to get under my covers! So later, guys!

I... am... BACK. Where has the summer gone?! ;.;
:(BAD NEWS::(
-Yeah, I am so sorry. I mean, sure the longest I've been gone is two weeks, but two months?? sigh... I'm ashamed...
-I had no idea studying for an SAT practice test could take forever. I mean it. My parents went all "basket case" on me throughout the summer, so they could prepare me for my SAT, (which I believe, I will take in either Spring 2011 or Fall 2011) so I was busy studying for my SATs during the summer.
I did have some time to draw, (very small amount, though :( )
-Now, I know I had promised to do a Timeless teaser for the summer but, that project, turned out FAIL. I had done such a great job with it until the SAT thing...
...point is, the teaser will be discontinued. What disappoints me the most about it, is that I had worked so hard on it and... sigh... well, I'll upload everything that was originally going to be the teaser on my Scraps Gallery if you'd like to take a peek at it.
-I also tried to get my Learner's Driving Permit, I took the test down at the Gerogetown DMV (in Washington D.c.) and I was doing fine.... until... that question... "How close is a driver allowed to park their car on a two-way intersection?".... 40ft. was NOT on the options, and it was the right answer!
Okay, enough with my venting, now the birght side...
GOOD NEWS
-This summer was incredible (If you take away the SAT, the failed drving test, and being stuck at home) I mean, I went to Kings Dominion, and rode on the best rides at the park. And take my word for it guys, if you ever go there, you have to try these:
(I also took the liberty to time each of the roller coasters, in case you wanna know how long the rides last.)
1st.The Pirate Ship (If you really want a scare, sit down at either of the ends of the ship... THOSE are the best seats in the house)
2nd.The Dominator (2':17")(Long and fast)
3rd.The Crypt (The seats are painful! >_O Ouch...;.;)
4th.Volcano: The Blast Coaster (1':21")(Short but very fast; also the line for the ride was ridculous. -_- Don't get me started on how long I had to wait to how short the ride was)
5th.The Drop Tower (Scary... but awesome!)
6th.Anaconda (1':40")(long and fast, thought not as fast as Dominator)
7th.Rebel Yell (2':17")(Long and fast; wood coaster)
8th.Grizzly (2':19")(Longest coaster but not the fastest, but still thrilling)
9th.The Hurler (1':15")(Long but pretty fast for a wooden coaster)
10th.Shock Wave (1':11")(A coaster where you have to satnd; the loop-de-loop will make you scream, that's a guarantee.)
And last but not least, the coup de grâce, the cherry on top of the sundae, the crown jewel of Kings Dominion...
11th.Intimidator 305 (1':21")(Very long but insanely fast; you HAVE to save this coaster to the very end of your visit, it's really the best of the last, I can't even begin to describe how epically awesome it was :D.)
-I went to St John's Newfoundland, to pay my cousin Andrew a short visit before he took of for college... he may be a jerk... but he's a funny jerk... when we went fishing, we fell of the boat and we encountered a Killer Whale! It was awesome, though I hurt my hand pretty badly :'(
-11th grade is starting to be a challenage, even though the year started of so boring. I'm taking Graphic Design, which is perfect, 'cause I can use it to familiarize myself with Photoshop. I'm taking French which is just what I need for a... special reason... :blush:. English 11 Honors... I had a slow start on it, but now I'm rising to an awesome Drama-reader :D. Chemistry isn't too bad, especially considering that I'm in Algebra 2, I can use my newfound math knowledge to solve simple equations in Chemistry (Irony: I'm good with numbers, but I HATE math). Art 3 is... pretty lame... probably because I not all of my friends from last year are on the same class. I like my new History teachers, the class isn't as good as last year (Ms. Pence will, forever be, the most awesome History teacher ever) but still nothing I can't dish out. And Algebra 2... man the teacher I have actually knows what he's doing... he doens't make math painful to listen or makes me nod odd into Dreamland... but the homework is ridiculous D:.
-My social skills are finally blooming, which is tragic... and delicious (500 points to whoever can guess that ref). No longer am I just that goofy artist everybody ignored, no, this time I will be the most famous artist TC has ever known.
-My artistic skillz have improved one hundred-fold, (I'd like to thank my Uncle Dennis for giving me the awesome idea of a Master Sketchbook) now everything I need to created Timeless and Academic Survaival: the World Tour will be on my fourth sketchbook, and this sketchbook (Unlike the three previous ones) has no set routine... ANYTHING can be created and from either series.
-Timeless will be written... graphic novel-ish style, and AStWT will be a written story, though scenes and short strips will be uploaded if I need some practice drawing, find a scene I like, or you guys need a laugh.
Well, that's all I had to vent... phew! Sure took a whole lot out of me. Well, I better... begin to... catch up on everything... I missed... here... (Oh man, just imagine all of the replies I must forward... I guess I'm not COMEPLETLY free of work)

And Algebra 2... man the teacher I have actually knows what he's doing... he doens't make math painful to listen or makes me nod odd into Dreamland... but the homework is ridiculous D:.
-My social skills are finally blooming, which is tragic... and delicious (500 points to whoever can guess that ref). No longer am I just that goofy artist everybody ignored, no, this time I will be the most famous artist TC has ever known.
-My artistic skillz have improved one hundred-fold, (I'd like to thank my Uncle Dennis for giving me the awesome idea of a Master Sketchbook) now everything I need to created Timeless and Academic Survaival: the World Tour will be on my fourth sketchbook, and this sketchbook (Unlike the three previous ones) has no set routine... ANYTHING can be created and from either series.
-Timeless will be written... graphic novel-ish style, and AStWT will be a written story, though scenes and short strips will be uploaded if I need some practice drawing, find a scene I like, or you guys need a laugh.
Well, that's all I had to vent... phew! Sure took a whole lot out of me. Well, I better... begin to... catch up on everything... I missed... here... (Oh man, just imagine all of the replies I must forward... I guess I'm not COMEPLETLY free of work)

'Timless' Teaser

In the case you're probably wondering what I'm ranting about, in case you saw my latest pic, is my newest project idea; I'm actually going to create the trailer, or if you may a teaser, regarding my series Timless. This is going to be a very large project, that may take about two months to complete, since from now on all pics related to the teaser, will be digitally colored on GIMP. This is like the Timeless characters being drawn out one by one, except there's less pages but at the same time more work, so I'll try to upload at least one new pic every week, maybe two if I have the time. If you wonder which pic belongs to the Trailer, that's easy. They'll all be named "TL: Trailer Part (insert Roman numeral here)..." but every now and then there will be either sketches or new pics, but those will be traditionally colored (yet another difference if you may)
That'll be all you guys, peace!

Sheer Stupidity or Ingenious Breakthrough?

Okay, I'm really excited because of the blizzard that has just burried The Eastern United States.
So you guys remember, my last journal in which I said I couldn't turn in a project? Well, apperently the cause were not fail-wires, but my own stupidity instincts. So now, it's official. I am a MORON!
Now, here's something new, and. I dunno if I should hold my first contest; since I'm gonna be locked up at my house because of the storm for a whole week, I might as well do something to pass the time. But of course if you think a contest is a good idea, that's cool.
Anywho now, I'm going to tell you about my latest acheivement. Hehehe...

I REVIVED MY PS1!
That's right, the original PlayStation is now alive and kicking, as of now, I have 8 1/2 years with it, and it still works! I feel like a little kid in a candy store! We did it! What the-? I did it. You didn't do it. Shut up.
All right, any other things I should discuss? Hm. I guess not.
Well, right now I shall go play my PS1 as there is no other way to enjoy PS1 games. (PS3?) Actually there is, I forgot that I am retarded.

Seriously! T.C.* just, just, why? September- you started off being so cool and well thought out, but now you're just annoying! The biggest project for Driver's Ed. And I can't turn it in? Seriously? Just what exactly are you asking me to do? Oh...
Sorry, guys. I know I've been absent for quite a while, but, it just that lately I've been putting up with so much crap. If you remember, in my last journal I said I was sick right? Well, I missed three days of school. Three. Freaking. Miserable. Days. And now it turns out, I became sick at the worst possible time; I've done very well to catch up in all my classes 'cept one... Driver's Ed. I have two annoying projects to turn in, otherwise I'll get a B-; the lowest grade I'll get in my report card if I don't turn in some damn letter, and a freaking, 10-slide presentation. Drive's Ed's over, but I have one last chance to turn in both assigments by Monday, first thing in the morning.
The catch? I have to e-mail it to my teacher, since I don't have class the 2nd, but the problem is, when I try to send it trough the server- there's the problem. the connection? It doesn't allow me to access the server. So, somehow I'm expected to turn both projects in, or I'm screwed. Which means that, until I accomplish that, I won't be able to work on any artwork for a while. Sorry, guys.
On a positive note, if I can do everything by tomorrow morning, then I'll have something new for you guys tomorrow afternoon; but with my luck, don't expect anything.
That's it. No funny jokes, 'cuz I'm too annoyed.
Okay, maybe just one- and I can't submit this journal! Aaaaaaaaahhh, Soooonnyyyyaaa! Aaaggh! Why did I load?! Why is my name George?! It's not! AAAHHH!!!

So lately, I've been sick, I have a fever of 99, and so I gotta lay in bed for the rest of the evening, but I think by tonight I'll at least have enough strenght to submit new pics.
On a side note I've been considering on starting requests, here, BUT I'm still debating if it's a good idea, so, so far, there is no fixed decision.

New Project!
Posted 16 years agoWell, I certainly haven't updated the journal in quite a while, and the crash only delayed the project idea I had in mind. Anyway, here's the thing, I plan on making a short story starting from Friday, 11, 2009 to hopefully the end of the year, but I have two projects in mind, and that would just take a long time. So I'll need the help of you guys my faithful watchers to tell me which one would sound better, here are the choices:
I shold warn you both stories are "mature-content"
-Warmth Takes place at the Present, while a dangerous snowstorm is in proggress, the story revolves on Icing (Icy + King)
-Midnight Frenzy Takes place, at New Year's Eve, revolves around KiMo (Kitty + Montana)
All right, so I guess I'm done here. I'll wait for your input.
