Posted 16 years agoWhoopah! I scored a little Turkey holiday for a week and a half with my family. :£
Got my own hotel room and everything. Trying to sort out some kinda internet connection thing for msn, but I won't be bringing my laptop, so I'll be restricted to purely that. :b
hope to keep in touch. If not, I'll see you guys in a couple of weeks!
I really need to get these commissions done after this break! >:C
oC details
If you are one of my Commissionees, I recommend you get oC so we can work in realtime.
If you like watching artists draw, I recommend downloading oC so you can without even leaving your computer.
If you like to draw with artists... you get the idea.
Download oC here!
INSTRUCTIONS TO SET UP
Firstly, if, when you open up oC, you see some odd language that could resemble Japanese or even *be* japanese (depending on how well your computer can translate) you need to change the language.
At the top there should be pull-down menus. Find the one with "(H)" next to the random characters and click on it. Then, from the pull-down, choose the option with "(E)" next to it. This should make the program display almost fully in English (note the use of the word "almost").
Secondly, the pull-down menus at the top should be easier to understand. find the one that says "Network(N)" ond from there, go to "Show NetworkWindow(N)". From here, you can choose one of three tabs. On the Server tab, you can host a personal session (which only allows up to 4 users to join including yourself, and requires a program called "Hamachi" to connect to the other users remotely. I'm not going to explain Hamachi 'cos I don't use it anymore.)
The "Client" tab lets you connect to someone else's server. If you are connecting to someone who is using Hamachi to connect to users, you will also have to have Hamachi and will have to connect to theirs. Because I have a personal server, which allows up to 15 members, you won't need Hamachi to connect to my server. Simply put the IP address I give you into where it asks for it, put a username in and click that retarded-labelled button to the right.
The third tab lets you set up your session *if* you are hosting. Otherwise, you need not touch this.
Lastly, for the server details, get in touch with me. If you've never used oC before and want me to help you set it up, I'll add you on msn and we'll work through it there, so PM me.

Jerkface Noob Shop assistant
Posted 16 years agoOk, so today, I walk into Cash Generators 'cos it's just opened down the street, and loud music is playing from these kick-ass speakers outside the shop, and I'm like "...awesome".
So I go in and I'm all, like, "cool, a THREE NECK GUITAR" (got a pic btw) and I see a lightgun for the ps1 going for £3.
And 'cos I'm a nerd I asked some guy, who obviously hadn't worked in this line of career that much before, about it. I asked him if they had any games that worked with it.
The dude picks up Tomb Raider 1 and tells me this works.
And I'm like "...riiight..."
Then he picks up Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare and says "This too.".
I know this foo' is playin' me.
so I'm like "...These don't use lightguns".
And he's like "...I assure you, they do."
And I'm like "...I owned both games for the PS1, already have a lightgun, and I'm looking for a second so I can play Time Crisis 2 on my (RETRO_ORESOME) PS2. I *know* neither of these games work with a lightgun."
And the dude like, SNORTS, and smiles and looks around before looking back at me and says "...I played these last week with this lightgun so eh."
I "Heh, whatever, man" in his face and leave.
This has been an eventful week! Is to be fune!!thirtyeight!!

Pussy-ass flatmate
Posted 16 years agoSo recently, I left a note on my kitchen door stating a plan me and one other flatmate had devised to keep our kitchen tidy for once.
"If you make a mess, plates, cutlery and pots will all be binned unless you tidy it up after using it! We've had to resort to this because we need to sell two more rooms or we pay more rent, and the way things are going, nobody is following the rota!"
Ok, I should point out now, recently, I moved from my smaller room to one of my ex-flatmate's bigger rooms, at his suggestion. I have not moved all my stuff across and a lot of my unmoved stuff is in a pile on the floor in the room. I do intend on tidying this while I have the time to. This also means if this room doesn't get rented out, I and *myself alone* have to pay the difference in rent, meaning it is completely my problem.
So when one of my flatmates turns up at my door and points to the snide little remark written at the bottom of the notice, saying "The kitchen isn't the only room in a state", I get a mixture of feelings from it. Firstly, I know exactly who wrote it, and know he's the primary cause of most of the shit the kitchen is left in. Secondly, upon knocking on his door several times, I realise he's run off! So in retaliation, I slapped a huge big wad of paper over his door, saying:
"Perhaps you missed the point.
"Perhaps because you feel it is your stuff that will be binned because you (for whatever reason) can't or won't comply to this pretty straightforward rule, you have decided to try and pin the focus on someone else.
"nice try. my old room is in fact my problem and has been like that for 3 days. I'd wager a guess as to how many times the kitchen's been that untidy, and for how long each time, but I can't state how accurate said guesses would be.
"Quit your pathetic whining, unless *you* have a better (and more effective) method of keeping the kitchen tidy. If this is the case, please, don't refrain from sharing said ultimate plan with the rest of your flatmates.
"P.S. Instead of leaving snide remarks and running away, come talk to me about your woes and we'll talk through it like the civilized people we *ought* to be, wise-ass.
"My room is the fifth door on the right."
I ended with a little explenation as to how to count to five, followed by an arrow, just for fun. :D
So yeah, UP YOURS, FAILTARDS. THIS IS HOW YOU RESPOND ECONOMICALLY.

Posted 16 years agoOk, so I found art.com and decided I'd like to present how I draw to those who are interested. Watch this in the slow setting, 'cos it guides you through step-by-step on how to use guidelines/templating.

So yeah, I've overcome a lot of what happened last week. I get the situation has been volatile, but I'm starting to emerge uninjured, and I'm healing emotionally, definitely. So it's all good in tha hewd. :3
Also, if you get the chance, go see Gran Torino in the cinemas atm. It's actual class. Made me laugh more than most the comedies I'd seen so far this year. :b

OMG 888 PAGEVIEWS
I don't *need* subtitles. >____>
Having problems with my tablet atm; It's pen isn't totally working. :b
I might order another pen, but at the price you can get those for, I would be better off buying another make of Tablet that has a pen that doesn't break half as often. >:C
I mean, I actually bought another tablet, thinking that was the problem. Both pens have done the *SAME THING*.
And so, regradless of whatever anyone else with Bamboos think, I have no reason to commend Wacom Bamboo. :b
Anyone else got a tablet they'd liketo recommend? Nothing to big, and something reasonably detailed would be perfect. :3

So yeah, I had a good weekend at the meet. :3 Felt a little drained emotionally and physically (44 hours no sleep, I was running on Pro-Plus by the end xD) after we went to see Bolt, but it was all cool. :b
OMG BOLT <3
Ok, so I'm also showing
bluedude a few things to do with artwork and sketchwork. So far, he's been doing really well, and I hope he keeps this progress up. He's showing so much potential. :D
I'm also havign major problems with my tablet; it's acting like I'm pressing down on it when I'm not. I've sent an email to Wacom for help, but I'm not sure what they can do. Might just have to get a new, *different* one. Each time I've bought a Bamboo, this has happened. It doesn't seem to happen to anyone else, though, so I'm not sure what the problem is. To me, though, this is grounds not to recommend Wacom, or at least the Bamboo.
Ok, I've not been random enough.
RANDOM DUMP
Cream soda is the spunk of the LordyLordy, who resides in the clouds of smoke from the pipe of Mr McRowlerson who, incidentally, was blasphemous against LordyLordy by cheating on his wife with the demi-god, Stephen Louison. I wouldn't ever consider inviting Stephen to one of *my* parties, though, 'cos all he would do is make a mess and smite people. What annoys me most about this whole situation is that I was not directly involved in any way. :c

Update! Heading for the Glasgow meet this weekend again. Dragging RossFox along with me this time. >b
We're going to see Bolt as this month's furry movie. I've heard some mixed opinions on this movie, so we'll just have to wait and see.
Either way, I'll be looking out for boners. NO BONERS.
Also, it's
xanbunny's Birfdae!! HAPPOPPY BIRFDAE

FAGGOT! ...Are you sure?
Posted 17 years agoSo I've started going to the Glasgow meets, getting to know a few more furs around Scotland, and I gotta say, it's pretty neat. :3
It means I get more socially active with the fandom and it gives me more 'sonas to draw, plus the ability to personally ask the fur being drawn which parts of their fursona they want modified is much better than working from any ref or description alone.
I met Crome at the Glasgow meet who, unsurprisingly, was more than unhappy with Tré's absence (noted by the use of the word "faggot" repetitively down the phone) and I also drew a portrait of his 'sona.
And another version of said portrait with boobs, but I'm not allowed to upload it or even share it 'cos if I do, I'll get banned.
Just so you know, it's there. >3 I think the only person I'll be able to give it to openly (without Crome's permission) is Dragoneer and, 'cos I don't see him asking me for anything anytime soon, I'm pretty sure it's gonna stay static for now.
Should note that his slightly effeminate 'sona's version is called "Crame" so I'm not even breaking copyright laws. >3
Suuuurreee, there's similarities, but they're eeeevvveeerrryyyyywhere nowadays. >3
Also drew Coga's 'sona (with the yiffable facial markings) and Xan's too.
Planning on hosting an Airsofting meet here in Dundee too, hope it'll work out alright. :3

Journal #Uno vida
Posted 17 years agoSo I'm at Uni in Dundee, and I'm thinking:
"I should probably update my journal on dA."
Along comes a day when I'm using fast internet, and I can do it. I'm at Tre's house, and looking at his FA profile. I feel tempted to create an FA profile, and try to do so. Instead, I realise I have a profile that I haven't used, so I update it with a few pieces. :3
Anyway. I'll keep updated when I can. Uploading usually takes ages from my ownmobile connection, so I dunno how art updates will work out. Also, I kinda... dropped my tablet pen into some apple-juice, so I won't be getting much done atm. D:
