Dresses! Outfits! I need ideas!
General | Posted 14 years agoIt just occurred to me I'm an unoriginal fuck and I need designs to base Cream's outfits on! I'm gonna do about 4 for it so throw me anything you'd think she'd look good in!
It doesn't need to be necessarily a practical design, hell it can even be sluttish, modest, cute or sexy.
Please =3?

There's a formula to successful images on FA.
General | Posted 14 years agoI just don't want to follow it. =P As a teen I wanted to be "that guy" with dozens of people constantly talking to him, always popular and everyone loves everything his pen just happens to bleed onto a piece of paper.
Since then that desire has been smashed, smothered and thrown into a nearby ditch. My 10 laws of Drawing are as such:
1: I draw for the lulz. If I think it would be funny to share, then it shall be so.
2: I draw for those I respect. Often it is those who commission work from others, or who have given so much to the specific fetish community of their choice. (Ass backwards of me, I know. I give to people who usually commission such things anyway but there is always a method to the madness)
3: I draw to improve. I always try and one up myself, whether it be my style, my skills, or my hardware. It doesn't matter whether this is successful or not, just that I try.
4: I draw with feeling. My art will portray my emotion, so as to best capture the correct combination of the attitude and the topic at that moment.
5: I draw for stress relief. Often I will be plagued by family issues or inconveniences of day to day life. Drawing is a reprieve.
6: I will NOT draw for fame. I will always appreciate those who will watch me, but I will not draw for recognition. If I were never to be thanked for contributions to a fetish I would be okay with it.
7: I will NOT draw with the promise of money. Not because I'm against money, but because I don't trust myself to keep my end of the agreement. I am more ADD than most and have more half baked sketches than Sonic has power rings.
8: I will not draw something against my interests. I've stated this before in previous comments, but I do not enjoy scat, drugs, or bodily fluids that aren't white and creamy. I will always have an open mind however to other peoples interests within limits. (Pedobears are okay and use imagination. Pedophiles are physical and need to be locked up.)
9: I will draw when I feel like it. This is actually more important than you think. Many will draw without their heart put into it. Pumping out image after image solely because of popularity, money, etc. etc. Julius Zimmerman comes to mind.
10: I will draw for myself. If I want a tentacle corrupted, aged progressed anthro bunny with an ever expanding body, I will damn well MAKE ONE.
These are my laws, I will stick to them as best I can since I'm only human =P

Deus Ex Autosave: WILL SCREW YOU OVER.
General | Posted 14 years agoFirst off, let me say this game is awesome. Awesome on so many levels.
Now, here's the metaphoracle knife in it's back. It has a tendency to "auto save" over parts you might want to do over for to retry.

Okay, here's the deal. When your chopper is shot down by the chinese, you DO have the choice to save malik, it requires you to kill everything shooting her. It's NOT apparent, and the second you get into that elevator it double saves. As in, you get into the elevator, it auto saves, you get out of the elevator, it immediately autosaves again. This prevents you from reloading your previous save.
I lost 2 hours of my work thanks to this. I'm back in china for the first time, negating all my work back at my apartment.
BE WARNED. AUTOSAVE WILL SCREW YOU. save before every boss fight on your own, do not trust their autosave.

Creams Admission: ...what now?
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm not sure where to go with Cream's little trip.
Some items that came to mind are:
A new wardrobe
multiple breasts (although they're still small it will become more pronounced in the climactic ending)
Feral (As in werehog esque/dracula with fangs and such)
I could always shove a dick on her. =P That's always a winner.
Suggestions anyone?

The first 10 artists who comment on this journal will be featured here, along with three deviation chosen from their gallery by myself.
If you answer, you'll have to do the same in your journal, completing the list with 10 other people. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone.

What to draw...What to draw...
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm at odds with myself. I have several projects I want to work on but can't make up my mind. So I leave it to people who actually watch journals as they wiz buy the front page below their "Watches" and "Comments"
Option A) Mega Man related. I'm on a Mega Man kick right now what with my blood boiling from Legends 3.
Option B) Ring Leader's Circus. I need to flesh out my character's life a bit more. More specifically her personality.
Option C) Cream's acid trip. Hell I don't even know where I'm going with it. Last I left off I drew her growing tentacles from her expanding ASS.
Option D) TELL ME WHAT TO DRAW, seriously I'm bored out of my gourd and need some inspiration.

Megaman Legends 3: Canceled.

... Where do I begin? This is a major upset for me, my childhood being with the blue bomber. This goes far beyond what I could of though Capcom was capable of, such stupidity.
There's a facebook page right now that needs all the support it can get, it's just starting but its goal is 100,000 likes.
Capcom Euro twitted recently that "it's a shame the fans didn't want to get more involved if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds"
I say we show them how many fans can REALLY get involved.

B-day: One year of public perversion.
General | Posted 14 years agoThis marks a year of me showing my drawings to users on FA. It also marks my 22nd birthday.
I take a moment to reflect on my accomplishments this year. I'm in Game Design 2, after Game Design 1 three times.
My skills with the pen and wacom tablet have both improved, to what degree varies depending on my ADD at the time.
I've started once again talking to an old friend of mine from when my mother died, making plans to go visit her.
Lastly, I'm a sneeze away from 7000 pageviews... Maybe I should draw something for that? I don't know.

Xenoblade Chronicles Denied to America: Sign the Petition!
General | Posted 14 years agoThe last couple Journals haven't really been much about me, but about what I have a true passion for. One of my passions, the works of a man named Tetsuya Takahashi, Xenoblade Chronicles have been denied American shores even though it's been received favorably in both Europe and Japan. Nintendo has given no reasoning but there is a petition and a movement named Project Rainfall that hopes to get the game and 2 others to America.
Takahashi was the mastermind behind both the Xenogears game of the PS1 era, and the Xenosaga of PS2. He revolutionized Jrpg combat, something that games like Final Fantasy have thrown away and paid for mercilessly.
I ask anyone who reads this journal to please sign the petition, in hopes that it will sway Nintendo to reverse their decision, and if all goes according to plan, buy the game to show your support!

Tail Concerto Sequel coming to America for the DSi
General | Posted 14 years agoApparently christmas came early kiddies~! Duke Nukem Forever finally came out, Deus Ex is obtaining it's own sequel and now TAIL CONCERTO is obtaining its long awaited spiritual sequel, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. I Think I just creamed myself.
Tail Concerto was a game released on the PS1 YEARS ago. At that time I had no idea of the furry community, nor had I yet realized my own love of the bizarre. I found Tail Concerto on a PS1 Demo disk, holding on it a slew of japanese games slated to be released later in the year. I loved every minute of it, the art style, the music and the whacky way my robot would flap its wings frantically in an attempt to hover. Years later I found this game, and bought it in a heartbeat.
Long story short, it's coming people. I know my own opinion won't mean much but, take a look into this game.

What I saw at E3: A diamond among the coal.
General | Posted 14 years agoI went to E3 for the first time in my life. I've achieved one of my life dreams. And I gotta say it was fun and batshit crazy.
This E3 was the year of sequels, everywhere. It also felt as if I was swimming in first person shooters and MMOs. Of course there were the obvious 'winners', Zelda: Skyward Sword, Streetfighter X Tekken, MassEffect3 and GoW3. Sequels scare me sometimes tho, they have the risk of "Same old same old" syndrome.
From afar I saw something though that shook me to my core. What I thought was Morrigan Aensland form afar. "Darkstalkers!?" But I wasn't anywhere near the capcom exhibit! I walked up to the demo and watched a man playing. I learned the name and somewhere deep within I felt nostalgia and excitement mix.
I'm talking about Autumn Game's Skullgirls. I don't even know where to start. If anyone has ever read my journal before they know I'm fascinated by 'Change'. Well the art style in this game is incredibly pleasing to my eye. I stood infront of it for a good hour watching each player and also trying my own hand at Skullgirls and I was continuously struck by the various attacks and animations(accidental pun in there).
This is now probably the one game I'm looking forward to at this point. While Street Fighter is nice, it's suffering from Capcom repackaging the same thing over and over again. Ryu is great and all but if you take a look at the Tekken 1 through tag team, some characters styles developed and flourished. Jin Kazama for example slowly picking move styles from both his demonic father and his angelic mother. And then clearing the slate by creating his own technique and style.
TL:DR?

It felt good completing a drawing.
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm sure alot of artists can agree, after breaking out the digital pen and paper after an extended hiatus and actually finishing something sitting on your desk for months, it feels GOOD.
Sick of working on big projects, back to simple art!
General | Posted 15 years agoI keep burning myself out on this animation project that was supposed to be "simple". So I'm just going to instead finish up some drawings I have for other people. Any artists ever bite off more than they could chew, had to spit out the bite and cut it into smaller portions? The analogy is gross but true in my case.
Motivate=Shot to shit...How do I fix this?
General | Posted 15 years agoMy issue is I've lost my motivation. I have several pieces of half done work but I don't feel the urge to finish it. So I pose this question; How do you get your motivation back?
Taking a break from Cream's Admission for animation
General | Posted 15 years agoI'm attempting to improve my animation skills, and...well, I thought CS5 would be a little nicer. Turns out it's a fickle mistress that will need taming. Expect something of it in a bit.
World of Warcraft replica weapon contest: HARD.
General | Posted 15 years agoThe second I saw the contest I stamped my foot down in the ground, something I rarely do and said "I'm entering that contest." For people who know me, I'm a lazy panda like person. I don't like putting physical effort into ANYTHING. For me to have said "Oh hey I want to make a sword or two" was pure madness. ...But no, it gets worse.
I wanted this sword to last, I wanted them to hang from my wall so that I could be proud of them. My thinking was, hell if I don't win the contest at least I have a kickass weapon I made with my bear hands. So what do I do? I look into wood carving. HA. yeah, wood is long lasting! It'd even allow me to hit my little brother occasionally when he pulls out his own kendo stick!
....Was I high? Who slipped me the happy pill?
I originaly reached for Balsa wood, but found that none of the stores in local NJ carried anything larger than 2 feet length and a quarter inch thick. For airplanes. So I buckled down, shoved my hand into my wallet and bought BIRCH. I really wish I knew what I was in for.
The last 2 weeks have been spent fighting, and carving, and sanding, and crying over these two planks. The design was the easy part, I penciled it in, took my time and made a grid over the sheets of wood. The plan was for me to glue 3 1/4 inch 2x4s together, cut it out, paint it, have a nice day. I was BLIND... I've spent about 300$ in supplies for this thing, The wood, the exacto knife that was supposed to be able to cut BALSA wood, the jigsaw that only runs for 10min before crapping out, the primer, the paint, the ACTUAL primer and paint that I needed because the first ones were incompatible for wood (no refund either, fucking Lowes), the list goes on. thankfully I had a cousin who could lend me the rest of the power tools I could use. But wait, it gets worse. multiply this shitstorm by 2, because I wanted TWO swords! Yay!
I'm done one sword, and the other one is ready to be sanded down. What swords am I making? The FUCKING WARGLAIVE OF AZZINOTH.
Was it worth it? Yes. Will I ever do it again? No. This is the equivalent of a gamer playing I want to be that guy on the hardest difficulty. You never do it twice.

Intuos4 Wacom Tablet = THE SHITZ!
General | Posted 15 years agoEarlier this month, my Intuos2 finally bit the dust after years of service. I was way overdue for a new piece of equipment. This Christmas I obtained the intuos4. I...I'm crying with joy.
What should my first drawing with the new wacom tablet be?
A) Cream's Admission part 5
B) A drawing for a friend of mine
C) Strike a pose cause shit just got REAL

I've taken my first steps into Digital Inking.
General | Posted 15 years agoAt this point, I've always inked by hand using a fine lining pen, then took the image to adobe illustrator, after a quick clean up of any messes I made. I would then use Live Trace to "smooth" out the lines. My desire was always to get that smooth feel I constantly saw in others artwork, and live trace gave that. At the same time however, even when set to the perfect preferences for the image, certain lines wouldn't form correctly. I had been wonder what I was doing wrong, so I look up digital inking. Imagine my surprise when I realized I've been doing it ass backwards this entire time!
So now I ask those who've attempted to digitally ink their drawings. Know any tutorials or tips I could use?

So my dad finds me drawing furry inflation and...
General | Posted 15 years agois like "So why is it all I see you ever have is pregnant furry women? You know you're not gonna find a girl." I try to explain to him that I keep my fantasies separate from my realities and, well, he doesn't get it. He then told me it's something I should probably talk to my psychiatrist about. I laugh and say "so you think it's a bad thing that I look and draw at furry porn" and to my surprise he says "yeah".
My dad is a very open minded man, not racist, has a whole collection of "dat black ass" in his closet, and always kept a very a very open stance about what I explored as I grew up. It's the reason why I was able to get a hold of Japanese Manga so early as a kid (Bio-booster armor Guyver bitches).
He found it worrisome that I saw NOTHING wrong with my fantasies being so bizarre. How do you explain to a man that my interests aren't pregnant, furry, futanari, guro, yaoi, yuri or anything in those spectrums.
My fetish, is Change. The act of changing reality to something it obviously isn't. For example, plastic surgery and breast implants are some things that I find sexy, but in the long run damaging so I disapprove of them due to the chance of it effecting your quality of life later on. If I had a girl that constantly dyed her hair and nails different colors, I'd find that a huge turn on. It's just part of my character.
Is it so strange, honestly though? Nomads who would constantly travel created fertility figurines to carry, focusing in great detail on the breasts, butt, and stomach while simplifying or straight out forgetting arms, legs and even heads. The egyptian's, which could arguably be credited for the creation of furries, produced works of art of cat, snake, and hawk headed gods in worship. The Greek produce giant 10 foot tall cast bronze statues of gods and regular humans alike, with muscle tone Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn't hope to achieve. Throughout history it has been socially accepted to draw the exaggerated, so what's so wrong with my drawing an inflated mouse with an exaggerated figure?
TL:DR. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the bizarre fetishes produced by the internet and peoples reactions to them.

Sex sells... do I honestly want to be part of that?
General | Posted 15 years agoAs I drew an image of Ring Leader expanded, it occurred to me that I had no reasoning behind it. No plot, no setting, no witty words to go with it. I despised it.
I intend to avoid such works as much as possible. I did not start to draw for the most carnal of pleasure. I drew because I myself had ideas, thoughts, settings, stories to unfold through my imagery. No, I'm not the best artist, I feel guilt for even calling myself one to begin with. My drawings are nothing original. but they're my drawings none the less, achievements that I hold dear. I want to look back upon them, proud to say "Yeah, they're smut. But they're mine!"
Strangely enough, Doug Winger is one of my all time favorite artists because, nearly every piece of work he produced had a witty little line at the bottom. It presented class to clash with the images of pure sexual furry essence.
What's your feelings? Do you feel it's okay to draw porn simply because? Have you ever just felt like "there's enough of THAT floating around in the internet, let's shake it up a bit!"

My cat is bald thanks to flee medication
General | Posted 15 years agoI...really don't get it. We put the medication on her shoulders and now she has a giant bald spot on her back. At least the flees are gone o.o;

All work on pause do to family issues
General | Posted 15 years agoSorry but currently my family is going through a change. Parents are splitting up and I need to sort out my feelings a bit before I can draw again. Give it a week or so = \
