Well, I don'T like saying my real name on the Internet but I guess my first name is okay... Richard-Junior, but most people call me just Richard, Ricky, Rick, Rich, some older IRL friends still call me Darvo, and in my mother's case, Sputnik XD (cause she says she felt like in Alien when she had me)

Very dark brown (think of dark chocolate brown XD)

Hazel speckled with green, and a single dabble of rust color.

Used to be Bisexual, until a day ago where I discovered the definition of Pansexual XD

-Lying/talking behind one's back. I just can'T stand when I learn from someone that they've been talking shit about me behind my back.
-Saying you won't do something with one person but turn around and do it with someone else. I jsut hate either being lied to and left behind for something, or when you say you'll stay single for a while then the next thing I learn is that you're sweet to someone else. just ÀUGH.
-Involving me in unecesary drama. I have my own sh*t to deal with on a daily basis, don't add in on it, or I'll jsut implode and you might not like it. Lost a few long-time friends that way, I don't like losing more, but when you annoy me, you're gonna be put aside.
29. Dislike in life?
Mieeeh, I like life, in a way, but I hate two-faced liars. And there's so many of them.
30. Most annoying?
MOSQUITOOOOES!!! haha. ahem but really I' mhard to annoy deeply. Sure I might have my days, but never will I keep it from listening to a friend in need or something. ^_^

Just a quick update (awakened by a death threat)
Posted 12 years agoFirst off, yes it'S extremely early for me, I woke up at 5AM when I got a text message. Here's what it reads:
"fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you i'll kill you and your race"
Now I have no idea who this was, and from the number apparently it was someone from Pensylvania. I was like WTF, I know nobody there at all or anything oO and who would want to send me death threats? I have no enemies... I just ignored it though, but the one thing that's bothering me is how in green blazes did someone from there get my cell phone number, the only place I have it written down is on my Skype, I think, and its only my contacts that can see it. so someone somewhere gave away my cell phone number to a random someone. WHODUNNIT?
But I'm not afraid, I don't think some psycho will come down here and stab me or something XD
In other news, I might be getting my tablet AND a new computer within a week from now :D my mother admitted that she wanted to buy me the tablet for my birthday but she ran into some troubles with her car and couldn'T afford to anymore :c but that's all right, I'll be even more proud of it if I buy it myself ^^
And about the computer, I still haven't decided if I should buy one ready-made in a shop, or if I should get it built by someone (buy all the parts then have it assembled by someone.), I don'T know what would be most affordable option, so my question of the day is: what do yo uthink is the best option? XD
On this note, I'm-a try to get some more sleep XD its hardly 7AM now so... been awake 2 hours after sleeping only 5 XD

Recent times deserve an update from yours truly XD
Posted 12 years agoWelp, here I am again wondering about where I've been and where I'll be soon...

I jsut feel so good recently, on the verge of being happy. There are a few factors that contribute to my good mood.
1) NEW GAMES!!!!! I bought Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity AND Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon On their release date LOL, so if you don't see me online often for a while, guess what I'm doing LOL.
2) I've been in the mood to draw again and apaprently even though I consider myself extremely rusty at this point, I've been told I improved a lot. Wel lat least I'm having fun drawing Pokémanz XD
3) One of my former close friends reappeared and we're back to being awesomesauce friends again XD you know who you are, and if you ever read this, I wanna thank you soooo much for being back in my life, I can'T do it enough <3
But despite all this theres a shadow in the sunlight. I've lost 2 good friends of mine recently, and apparently they talk shit about me behind my back. Well here's a message for them; those who talk behind my back, my big scaly ass stares down at them. XD But I,m not letting it drag me down, and I,ve still got some of the best friends one could have in my life. Love you all. XD
Well that's it from me, hope you guys are enjoying yourselves throug hwhatever life throws your way.

Mental Illness, a brief explanation
Posted 12 years agoHas it ever happened to you that you feel like there's a battle raging in your mind? Like there's something deep within you that jsut wants to get out and tell things to others, no matter the consequences or reactions?
It happens to me. All the time. Been like this for years.
There's literally a battle raging between three parts of me. On one side, you got the human, the pretended "real" me. What he wants is to live a normal life as an average joe, without the burden of fantasy or limitations of medication. This is what I aspire to be.
But then you have another side of me, the part that I call the "beast" inside of me. What I see as the "inner" me. What it wants is for the human to do waht it wants, but always towards its twisted goals. Thaat envelope of flesh is nothing compared to the fury and destruction it seeks to bring out. There are times where I've almost made it come out, but I always swallowed it back in because I've still got the notion of "right-and-wrong" and a "reason". If I didn't have any of this, either me or someone near me would've have been kileld by now. Not hurt, killed. I have it in me, that psycopathic glint of malice that can be my demise. That's why I CHOOSE to be alone most of the time and avoid social encounters as much as possible.
Then theres a third part of me fighting both parts at once. That part I call the "dragon"; more precisely, "Darvo". That is the real me. What he wants, even I don't know. he is fighting for a goal that is unkown to me but it always seems that he's htere to support me in times of need, it's like a constant presence alongside me, a comforting voice when I'm down. He's been there in mayny forms; before he would appear to me as a large blue feral dragon, and through the years he's been given shape and form in my mind until my hand wove a web of a - for now intangible - universe. HE lives within me, and he giides my actions, my words and my hands. HE is the true me. The one that nobody sees but is there, as though my skin was but a mask he wore to hide among humanity.
... I hope this explains a bit how I am. And that it answers questions. Feel free to ask anything that I might've not been clear on.

Yeah, I'm still here, unfortunately for you guys. I intend to get back as soon as I can settle my things right...
Speaking of which, I'm gonna expalin why I haven't been here a lot.
Firstly is that for the past few months I've been planning a return to studies. AGAIN. Yup. But it'S for good this time, I'm ready to take on this shit till I actually FINISH it. I have to. I mean it'S been... 4 years now that I've been struggling with this shit. I gotta pull my act together if I want to make myself a career and have a decent job someday... as most of you know I'm aiming to go in 3D animation/modelism... and my goal in that is to bring my characters to life in a larger way than just drawing. Anyway, I digress.
Secondly is that I've been caught up in videogames a lot lately, for about a month or so... I've spent over 75$ in game memberships and over 50GB's worth of programs and game downloads... Of course, it's spurred and spawned a lot my imagination in terms of new concepts and characters... and of course drawing characters from those games... but I just don'T find the time or energy to do it... I'll do my best to get back on track, but it's not easy picking up a pencil when you'Re not in the mood to draw...
Also, speaking of art, as I said I've got quite a few new ideas... like example I've thought of making either suits/costumes/morphs of various pokemon for Darvo or with a dragon look to them, or making them look extremely monstruous/dark/shadow morphed. Lets take example a cute legendary pokemon, Jirachi. I'd either draw Dravo or a dragon figure wearing a costume of a Jirachi, or make that Jirachi look like a monster from Hell or something XD. Endless possibilities. I get hyped just thinking about it, but as soon as I start drawing it I falter and lose interest quickly. If you want, I can list my ideas and we'll take out those who don't spawn enough interest. I'e also got a few ideas for new characters/redesigns of current characters (besides Darvo. Darvo has changed a lot in a short time and has been seen enough for a good while. He needs to disappear for a moment, go get some level ups and experience or sumphink).
Anyways as you can see I'm not completely helpless when it comes to art, but it's getting them on paper that always drags me down. Also, I try not to undertake too many projects at once and finish the one(s) that I have going on before starting new ones... because if I don't I always go back to it and forget the ideas I had on the others and such. IDK if that made sense XD.
Whew, that's enough for now I think.

I gotta pull my act together if I want to make myself a career and have a decent job someday... as most of you know I'm aiming to go in 3D animation/modelism... and my goal in that is to bring my characters to life in a larger way than just drawing. Anyway, I digress.
Secondly is that I've been caught up in videogames a lot lately, for about a month or so... I've spent over 75$ in game memberships and over 50GB's worth of programs and game downloads... Of course, it's spurred and spawned a lot my imagination in terms of new concepts and characters... and of course drawing characters from those games... but I just don'T find the time or energy to do it... I'll do my best to get back on track, but it's not easy picking up a pencil when you'Re not in the mood to draw...
Also, speaking of art, as I said I've got quite a few new ideas... like example I've thought of making either suits/costumes/morphs of various pokemon for Darvo or with a dragon look to them, or making them look extremely monstruous/dark/shadow morphed. Lets take example a cute legendary pokemon, Jirachi. I'd either draw Dravo or a dragon figure wearing a costume of a Jirachi, or make that Jirachi look like a monster from Hell or something XD. Endless possibilities. I get hyped just thinking about it, but as soon as I start drawing it I falter and lose interest quickly. If you want, I can list my ideas and we'll take out those who don't spawn enough interest. I'e also got a few ideas for new characters/redesigns of current characters (besides Darvo. Darvo has changed a lot in a short time and has been seen enough for a good while. He needs to disappear for a moment, go get some level ups and experience or sumphink).
Anyways as you can see I'm not completely helpless when it comes to art, but it's getting them on paper that always drags me down. Also, I try not to undertake too many projects at once and finish the one(s) that I have going on before starting new ones... because if I don't I always go back to it and forget the ideas I had on the others and such. IDK if that made sense XD.
Whew, that's enough for now I think.

Posted 13 years agoYEah, I'm writing up this late just to let everyone know I'm alive and well, even if I haven't been submitting a lot or anything... not only have I been busy with real life catching up to me, but also I happen to have lost my favorite pencil T_T waah!
But on the bright side, I finally got myself a 3DS ^^ so now I'm up-to-date with technology... right? XD
One thing bothers me though. I have not spoken to my boyfriend in like... 2 weeks or so :/ I don'T know what's going on, if he's just not on when I am or worse...
Like I said, art is on a standby right now, so I'll upload older pics I have and when I have something that I can sketch with, I'll probably take up the "100 theme challenge" as well. Will give me something to inspire me once in a while... :P
Well that's it from me.

Posted 15 years agoYeah, this journal is all about explaining why I have been inactive here and not giving any news.
It's mainly because I recently have been astruck wth a panic seisure (unable to move, shaking all over, speech impared, etc), and been diagnosed with anxiety and have been given pills against that. Tehy work. But maybe a little too much so. when I take them (i have to take them before bed) the next day I feel lethargic and depressed to a certain point. So that's no better...
And with that, of course, I have not been able to make any new art, even less submit them. I'm sorry if you were expecting something, but it'll have to wait a bit, because right now, I really am not in any mood to draw at all.
I might also lose my job because of that...
Well, that's pretty much all htere is to say about my current situation. I will, howver, try to find soem time to draw, even if its meaningless doodles. I mean, part of my anxiety was probably due to the fact that I hardly had time for art, and also becasue I perhaps expected too much of myself (it might have been 3 years now, but it used to be a hoby, so its only recently that I,ve been drawing lots, so I'm still in-training pretty much). Wel lat any rate, priority must be made on the contest I entered (and almost forgot about... I hope I'm not too late!! D:).
...and that concludes our journal of explanations. HAve a nice day all. XD No, seriously, have a nice day. Its sunny, I can finally go out with only my vest on. its like all years: after my birthday passes its time for sunny, warmer days and GONE WITH THE SNOWWWW :w00t:

And though I'm slightly late, I hope you all been good and had a happy christmas and new years eve XD
But enough of that today I FINALLY have access to a scanner and I will be uploading ALL my new sketches and art that I've done so far. So don't worry if you see my name a lot XD

Posted 16 years agoJust felt like writing up.. feels like its been ages that I've been on the 'net.
Well first off, the real-life stuff. Three days ago I had gone to my father's job, hoping that I'd be able to work there... I didn't even last the whole day; my hands were still aching yesterday from pulling the bags and trash cans... so now, father's gone to fetch my sister; she's staying for the weekend, and he's brought back a leaflet for this youth centre thing... the kind of organization that helps young adults with finding jobs and picking up studies again, among other things. I really need it; since I have not finished High School, I have a real lot of trouble finding a job...
Secondly, as far as art goes, I'm working on something... it's an armour design for now; don't know if I'll apply it to a character or make a character out of it yet. It was actually meant for a contest, but I decided that even if I don't submit it to that, it would still be good practice; haven't drawn any new sketches for months... I'm getting rusty. I still have a load of ideas in my mind, it's just getting them to paper that is hard sometimes.
I'll start submitting art now; I've found some of the files, but I will still have to scan some others... shame that the scanner here doesn't work. Oh well.
Well, that's it for now.

First Journal Entry (pulling myself together)
Posted 16 years agoYeah, lately I've been stricken by the same recurring mental illlness that I get afflicted by everytime I get a good project/idea in mind, and land on somebody else's work that just seems one-hundred-times-better than mine...
But I've decided. I won't go look at other's work for inspiration (besides potential fanart), I will look at tutorials only and ONLY if I'm really stuck for a part of the drawing, not when I get depressed that I can't do it myself and ask others for help. I will only draw origial work without (much) help from anybody...
Which reminds me. I will start making more... mature artwork. You know what that means. And yes, I might even start drawing adult artwork, but I still have to decide on that. And of course, I still have to practice some more; I have been drawing so little lately besides doodles, that my abilities have gotten rusty, and I'm having trouble keeping regularity even in doodles of the same character... So I must work on that.
Oh and this takes me to my next part... I will from now on only be submitting colored (digital) art. I will only submit sketches before them while I make them into colored/digital. Then that sketch will be moved to scraps. Only exception to that will be sketches that will have high acclaim and such.
There. I've said pretty much all I wanted to say...
