I refuse to take life seriously....It's not like were going to get out alive.....so screw it all I am going to have as much possible fun with it as possible I apologize in advance to any cows I may curdle, street signs I may offend, and any people I might lick....

Sooooooooooo..........It never seems that I am able to be as active conversationally online or otherwise in the furry community though there are a lot of you I would like to talk with. If even just to get to know all of you better. I do have a few furry friends I talk to on a regular basis. heck....even more on random I have one furry friend that happened to be a fellow firefighter in the volunteer department I'm a member of. I always seem to role play with myself to see how might my fursona of handled a situation to see if even one way or another it could of been resolved differently. so as it seems right now currently I am getting ready to open up in a new line of business that I have a little experience in but will learn quickly, getting into the wild field of semi-truck and trailer maintenance, mainly oil changes, tires, lights and light repair also automotive oil changes and light repair and if I think it will make money atv and motorcycle repair in the same shop, I have I think plenty of room to do this stuff as it's a two bay garage that's the length to fit two semi-trailers side be side. my boss is backing this monetarily but as far as the decision making, purchasing and daily running of that shop it's all me. which right now that daunting task of inventory procurement, finding the proper waste oil heater to keep the place warm this winter and landlord/tenant relations, can be quite interesting. Since this very last Anthrocon 2012 I have initiated a commission from  SpaceCatCreations for a full fursuit with some fancy LED technology. That in itself was a big step for myself, feels it has been a long time coming in realizing the different dreams I have had over the years. Finally getting my Dodge trucks body work and very few mechanical issues taken care of before the snow officially flies here in NWPA region. but I'm not counting on it being done before then just hoping. It has been a little while since Anthrocon, with working on getting my heavy truck and auto service center rolling at a truck stop on I-90 just inside Pennsylvania on the Ohio side of the state, has been taking up a good deal of time, stress and concentration, but the way things are looking should be ready to open no later than august 15th. Went to Anthrocon- what a blast that was, danced my furry butt clean off the first night, could barely walk the rest of the weekend, think i caught one of those in floor electrical covers during Rotersand's Exterminate, Annihilate, Destroy and twisted my knee, that was no fun, got to meet a good few of you at the PA Furries Meet-also much fun. I am a firm believer of supporting local furry business or even PA business whenever possible. With that in mind I finally took the leap and put a chunk of money on commissioning a full fur suit from PopRockGrey (aka Gettin' Fluzzy nka Space Cat Creations) as it sits many payments to make before it done, or a few large ones as I can afford. If any of you remember Gold Star Anime from the dealers room at AC, found out through random happenstance of stopping there, that I live literally 8 minutes away from them....that really grounds things and puts things in perspective for where things are(again supporting PA furry friendly business where ever possible. Now on a more pain in the butt news my very classic 1980 Suzuki GS550 motorcycle again is in the shop for moderate repairs, just got it back at the beginning of the riding season from having two tires, chain and sprockets, the carburetors completely rebuilt and resynchronized, gas tank seal coated which after labor and stuff works out to around $900.00 now I got to ride this thing like three times before it shut down on me, now it needs a starter probably a stator or rectifier(charging system crap) state inspected since it's due and most likely brakes as it most likely needs them and probably the diaphragm for the vacuum demand fuel petcock, I know its 32 years old but this is starting to get ridiculous, it will be brand new by the time it's done, with the exception of the wiring(which thankfully is in relatively good shape) now if it weren't for the fact it still shines really nice and runs awesome down the road I probably would of just sold it for scrap, but at this point I just want to get it through the rest of this season and try and sell it next spring to go and get the street bike I want. have to see how things work, if I even have time for it after the semi shop opens, which excites me greatly.

So here I am in Pittsburgh, love the city just by its ambience and general feeling. Now comes anthrocon, where seeing furry beasts of every conceivable species roam the streets as a natural everyday occurence. So many amazing fursuits.....its all so fluffy. I just sit back and watch people. Though I may not be the most talkative, I really do just enjoy sitting back and watching interactions of others. I'll be bouncing around for the next couple of days. I may not stand out. But say hello I would enjoy the conversation. Ta ta for now and see you all around

So....a short month or so ago I found a podcast on Itunes called Fur What It's Worth...hosted by Thay Rustback, Elias Saphir, and RooChi Lexico, three furries located in Utah, discussing subjects and introducing and immersing the furry fandom to the people's who may be new or a bit befuddled to whats going on. Other than their featured topics of conversation. Elias reviews digital media/photography and video game kinda things, RooChi has his Words from a cookie...in bed, plus fursuiting tips that are helpful and informative. Thay usually brings up points about Art and going on in her life. If anyone else finds this interesting you should really check this out. not to mention they read and discuss any emails they receive prior to recording. As I have been building up my fursona characteristics I notice granted they match me quite a bit. I drive a tow truck so does DarkFire, we both like the same music, the only thing that I realize is different is our two temperaments: where as I am a little more reserved and don't act on my feelings or what my environment is doing around me. DarkFire is there and responds the moment something needs handled. As I drive around during the day in my truck I continually play out past experiences and mirror image how He would of handled the situation and almost nearly every time it turns out differently than the way the situation actually did.My mind has a tendency to wander away at times as I've noticed to help me deal with stress takes me into DarkFire's world to see what he has been up to himself. He may be my fursona but our personalities are quite a bit different. I am aware I am most likely just rambling on. It is my belief that with out my minds release to that world of fantasy things here would degrade to the point of snapping on people that may otherwise deserve it but the response given would not be warranted. So in conclusion I always recommend letting your imagination free when you need it the most, it helps me cope with all the crap that piles up throughout the day.

So I may be completely off base here. But not so long ago I had read a story somewhere on this world wide web, I believe it was a editorial piece. Cant for the life of me remember where i found it. but i do remember the gist of the piece. It simply boils down to the authors thought of Furries shouldn't "come out of the costume closet" and that Furry Pride is generally a silly thing. Based on the fact that they don't see other fandom's(sci-fi, anime and so forth) doing the same types of things. This is where it pretty much falls down for me. I know I am Furry, I know that the good things I see come out of the community make me proud to be a part of it. I know this fandom like so many others has its very deep rooted sub-culture. I know of several Star trek fans that have life size recreations of the bridge of a star ship in their basement and they go to conventions and role play and such. As I have seen since finding the Furry Fandom it is very dynamic and ever changing. We have role(cos)-players, professional performers, scientists, Computer programmers, fursuiters, fans, authors, musicians, just about a true culture inside of our own. So it seems to me if you want to tell your friends and such your furry and are proud of it go ahead and tell them. If you do not wish to do this then that is fine to. It just makes sense that a fandom that gives it membership young or old the family feeling when you are with your close friends and are welcomed into the community by nearly everyone you meet at conventions, furmeets, etc. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and the way they do things.
