I have to say I'm quite surprised and grateful that there's so many of you wanting to commission me (thank you all, making my art feel very appreciated) however it also makes me sad because I can barely satisfy anyone simply because I'm not capable of taking nearly as many commissions as I'd like. Art isn't even a career path I'm taking, I started drawing because I wanted to create my own characters in their own world and make stories and interactions, because oddly enough it's the best way I get to comfort myself and my life is incredibly stressful right now which is why I focus on personal things, whenever I do get the time to draw.

What I'm saying is, I want to apologize for the wait of people wanting to get art from me and ask for understanding that things will be really slow with me.


Anyways now that that's over, if you're really looking to commission someone I'd highly suggest checking out my amazing friend  Hollow-Allo, his commissions are pretty much always open because he doesn't get nearly enough attention and his art is great and affordable! Seeing 2021 starts for me within less than 20 minutes now, I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy New Year! Finally the time has come to say goodbye to 2020 and look forward to (hopefully) a better next year.

I deeply hope the situation will improve for all of you.

Considering it's Christmas Eve today, I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas! Even if you guys can't spend these 2 days celebrating it with family (most likely because of the virus) I still hope today and tomorrow will be very nice days for you.

Okay some serious talk time

I know I've talked about this before and everyone said it's fine but I really feel like at least some of you are bothered by Darkey's name.
I thought of the name when I was young and edgy and didn't think to look up if there's a word like that and its meaning but now it's stuck because it's been literal years and I'm attached, if I wasn't I would've changed it a long time ago.
Maybe it's me just overthinking it and being anxious for no reason but still, people keep misspelling it and I feel like it's because of what the term means, not judging anyone but it's a very simple spelling..

So-- just be honest here, please. Not saying none of you were honest last time but- I really wanna be sure, especially to avoid any future awkwardness.

So, as you've probably noticed I haven't exactly been active the past month or so (mostly because of school, but there's other causes)


Those who I talk to on a regular basis already know all about it, but recently I've started getting all kinds of symptoms- at first just normal flu symptoms (or so it seemed, didn't think much of it) but then started getting pains in random places and more- which wasn't fun at all, I felt quite awful and couldn't do much. Soon enough I noticed a round rash on my leg. Yes, it's probably going where you think it is. Went to a bunch of doctors throughout 2 weeks and then got my blood tested for lyme disease, which returned positive (my result was literally off the charts. I don't know what the number is because it went above what the machine could measure).

So yeaaah.. Guess now I know what I've been struggling with and what I will struggle with for possibly years or even the rest of my life.. What's the likelihood of that though? This year was the first time I've ever had a tick, and I'm the first one in my entire family to get the disease when they spend way more time outside than me. Maybe I'm just stupidly unlucky or something.

At least now my parents don't have to worry about half of my face being paralyzed, turns out it's just another one of the symptoms I'm experiencing right now. Oh, and I'm underweight too it seems, I'll need to try to fix that as well.


Anyway, sorry for the sad news everyone- I'll still be drawing whenever I'm not working on school things (which another thing, my thinking ability could be impaired because of the bacteria, which means I might not do as well in school when I'm already not doing great, could even cause me to fail with how difficult everything is already and I'd have to reconsider my career choice. Amazing)


Okay enough of me being sorry for myself, please please please stay safe out there you guys. Whenever you're going out somewhere where there could be ticks, make sure your skin is covered and/or use repellent, and always check yourself for ticks afterwards. The absolutely worthless motherfuckers could potentially ruin your life. Just be careful and get in contact with a doctor if you suspect something, the earlier you start treatment the better.

So, about time I make a journal about being back home- just wanted to finish some stuff up before I did (which I wanted to finish before the trip, but didn't get to)

Welp DA just pulled a big ol' screw you. Honestly the new layout is terrible, I don't understand why they forced eclipse on everyone even though the majority was against it.

Yes I know, sorry I'm so inactive but I'm just an unmotivated mess right now. I really need to get my shit together blegh.

So uh, at the end of march a bit of my tooth chipped off and our visit was cancelled because of the pandemic, then infection got in and I had to last through it till a visit to a clinic that's still open yada yada.
I was really hoping it's just a simple chip but turns out it's gone pretty bad, quite a bit of decay happened under the filling in this tooth without a way to know (nothing hurt until the infection got in). So there's a chance this tooth can be saved with a root canal procedure and then a tooth crown replacement, but good God this fucking tooth is gonna cost me almost 1k.. Though I really don't want to have another tooth extraction and lose another permanent tooth. *sigh*

I might open commissions soon...ish once I finally get my motivation back to help with the costs a little bit but fucking hell why are teeth causing me so much issues I hate this

Are any of you bothered by or feel weird because of Darkey's name? I've been worried about it for a while now because well.. I did a stupid when first naming her years ago (literally by adding -ey to the word dark, edgy and cringy I know but I was a silly edgelord teen) but now that it's been so long I just can't imagine her having a different name, even if it makes me feel weird.
