Welp, Life has finally settled down (for now)

Tbh, this year has been extra cray cray on my end. 4 months of super drama, followed by 1 month of an epic journey... >v<;

Great to be back and drawing again while can. Dunno when life will get distracting once more, but atm gonna pull off as much as I can, while I can. >v<;

Pardon for the crickets here for sometime now. RL has been keeping me distracted from pulling off art like I used too... >.<;

I've been able to update my Patreon content from time to time, and hopefully can share here sooner then later when all gtg,

but atm can only work on content bit by bit when I got the spare time, which sadly is not much these days. Hopefully things will turn around, but wish to give an update that I still liivvveeee!!! XD

Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since last posted here. :O

RL has kept me really distracted from making art more often then I used too, but I have been spending what free time I got practicing 2-D animation any chance I can get, and now I am hooked! XD

So I wish to try to pull off some YCH simple animations for now, and see how it go's down the line with time, and try to pull off more full animations like I did with those early experimental ones. >v<;

As things are starting to get back back to normal from the, "Backstreet boys world tour" ( - a game grumps ref *cough* ) I'm finding myself super busy these days in the RL that leaves little time to complete art content like i used too. >.<;

Tbh, in the past 10 years or so, I have been lucky to be in situations where i could art as much as i want, but that luck seems to have run out... therefore getting anything done will now take way longer to complete on my end, if lucky to Fully complete any concepts at all....( i hope that wont be the case. *Gulp*)

Just an FYI, My Patreon these days are mostly sketch based with W.I.P.s of fan art and comics, due to how that's about the best i can pull off time wise. Thanks for the continued support there. Every bit helps. The struggle is real. -.-; (Thanks a lot covid.) >.<;

Anyways, just wanted to share to those that might be wondering what's up with the crickets on my end here.

Thanks again so much for liking and commenting on my work all of this time. It's been a fun learning experience skill wise, thanks to this fandom, that i wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for all the support and encouragement. Will keep drawing, and hope to share what i can pull off sooner then later. ^^;

Soooo pretty much I'm addicted to making animations now. lol. ^^;

Thus the reason for the crickets here for some time. Been learning a lot with much practice and now excited to work on new projects. :3

So far what i have in mind are YCH yiff gifs commission options at $8 a frame ( usually the "simple" gifs range from 15 to 28 frames total so far...) in color! :D

And I'd love to make animated music vids for fun, even though that could be a lot more work to pull off...^^;

It was great being a dealer again at Denfur. Felt lucky to be in a small separate room (only 8 tables, i think) from the huge main dealers den, with the best A/C at the whole con! XD

Took on a lot of commission though but was not able to get them all done at the con. >.< So I am working on a status list for not only con commissions, but ones I took on before going. ^^; Since there's quite a bit on my plate atm, thought it be best to keep folks posted here. ^^;

You know how when you have a reoccurring habit that you don't think about until someone points it out to you? In my case it was drawing "rapey" comics. Honestly It was something I never gave a second thought over. To me I was just drawing porn, and that's what I thought porn was for a long time until my bad habit was brought up, which actually surprised me! It was humiliating that I made comics of that nature second hand without really realizing what I was doing, but then I started looking over WHY I did that, and after much thought I think I might have the answer...

Rape Culture.

I grew up catholic, and my exposure to sex education was extremely limited. During sexual development all I was exposed too was rape stories from my single adoptive grandmother (due to how shocking they were to her) So that made my understanding of sex a skew. When I was finally exposed to porn, most of it was rapey in nature as well, furthering the conformation that it was just the norm of sexual behavior. I also end up hanging out with the guys way more then girls, and being seen as "one of the guys" Their guard was let down around me, and I got insight of how most males (not saying all) think of women, to put into terms, in lewd ways, which the talk boils down to "taking her like this, forcing her to do that," ect. and finally, my last point is how society in america as a whole treated rape victims (male and female) and women overall, by sweeping their voice on the topic under the rug, Not being taken seriously for the most part and poor handling of proper repercussions for such harassment, ect. All of these issues that finally came to light with the #me too movement in Hollywood and beyond. While I thought over this bad habit of mine for a few years now before the movement, it helped clear my thoughts and made me realize how my personal exposure and america society attitude during my time of growing up resulted in making such comics and art.

I've now realized what I executed poorly was the ideal of being submissive during sex. It was a blurred line for me the difference of submission and rape until now, and going forward I will make sure to be more clear in my future artworks. I apologize to any victims that might have come across my past comics and possibly be traumatized by them. I understand how a fiction scenario can affect a RL trigger response, and I feel horrible about that. v.v Thank you for your time and understanding where I came from on this subject matter...That is all for now at this time on this topic.

In all the years of drawing furry art, I've actually NEVER had a furry dream before, until now. (For the record, I only had 1 dream with 3 celebrities, and only 1 dream in a anime....) It was in Onta style, with lighting and line work style, and I think a likeness of Marty was floating around somewhere, Also Judy Hopps was in it.

It started with driving in traffic on the freeway, disobeying driving rules, with cops all around, but everybody was breaking the rules, for whatever reason. Then the dream shifted in school, where the teacher got fed up with being on cell phones, so she was taking it away. There was an argument about invading privacy, which then her phone was taken and was browsed through. Can't remember what was on it. Then the dream shifted again to watching porn in public. yup...gotta have porn in there somewhere...but my alarm woke me up for work. > . < Oh yeah! Judy was brief, she was running up a section of freeway, away from the cops. Contraindicating I know. Again, It was very brief with her.

Anyways that's what happened in my first furry dream. I don't recall what critters were exact, since there was so many in the dream, but mostly canine, i think. Thought I share it here, since it's relevant here and it's been a while since I've made a journal post. ^^;

The Drama:

The defamation of character by the EX posted on public boards was the last straw after coming across it by chance through my doodle blog. I was more mad then depressed about it that the DN name is ruined due to personal matters made public.
I'm not ashamed about the divorce issue, and very disappointed that I wasent able to take care of my son, heart broken actually, but mistakes were made, to which i feel i have learned greatly from it and now trying to move on. Unfortunately 9 years later since the divorce.
I'm still having to deal with horrible slander accusations (mostly posted online on public boards) from the EX to which NOW i'm trying to defend myself to ones that are ether twisted, or just flat out lies. (the ones that are true i admit too, but it is such a mess now) Some reply's were expressed out of emotion more then logic, but then again it's been a build up for staying silent for so long now....

The Art:

The statements that were posted in last journal were said (more like quoted from others reply feedback) out of bitterness from the drama, not how i personally feel about my artwork. (still my own worst critic to my art, but not one to complain about it out loud these days) I'm not sure at this time what to do now with my art under the DN name, but I will always keep drawing, because I am a art-o-holic that way ever since i was 2.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, soooo much for all your support in journal reply's and PM's. I apologize that I haven't replied to them. I feel extremely embarrassed that i blew up in my last journal about these issues so publicly, that It would take some time for me to move on here at FA....
