So I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. I dont have many social media sites I post on, nor many I can post this much information to.

Super fast TL;DR version: Cat has a swollen, painful lump in his mouth thats not affecting his eating yet but if I dont get it treated he-will- lose his appetite. I have to take him to the vet, this will likely be around 1000 or more in financial burden, we need help.

Longer version:

Ryu is a 13 year old, almost 14 year old Tabby. He's been with my partner Darkomi/Vernon_Cross for a long time. Since highschool I believe. With age comes troubles. He has a few things that need looked at but that aren't pressing.

However yesterday I noticed wha looked to be an old scab or a bit of blood on his lower jaw. Not enough to be alarming but enough to make me curious. So I cleaned it off and decided to look at his mouth. On his bottom lip just behind his top canine is a sensitive, swollen lump. It concerned me so I asked a vet tech friend today to take a quick look at it to determine whether or not I needed it to get looked at ASAP. He's not displaying lethargy or a lack of appetite, but mouth things are always risky things no matter the species.

Vettech friend told me yes, get it looked at ASAP. It will get worse, it will affect his appetite, and since he's older that could become a big problem.

Well we already know there's a dental issue that needs squared away, and that was quoted at 1500.
Now. I JUST got a well paying job. BUT we also JUST bought a car that I still have a couple payments to make on (bought from a coworker) and registration, on top of bills. So while yeah I have money, its kind of ALL been accounted for for this month....And the next...2
I do have a CareCredit account, thats been at 500 dollars but I dont have a good enough history to get that limit boosted so...this will only take care of a chunk of what I know is going to need to be done at the vet.

So I'm asking for help. Cause while I'm not well liked, and I'm not well known, my partners cat doesn't deserve to suffer that. He needs attention now.

however i've just added in an important update section to the information space.

I've recently run into a few really annoying issues with both of my personal computers and neither of them are working with my tablet at this moment.

For anyone not wanting to click away, here's the breakdown

Desktop: on a bad outlet we're looking to fix some wiring soonish, AND; the tablet will read for maybe 10 minutes before shutting the drivers down and rendering my tablet useless (no pressure)

Laptop: up until last week this was working fine, however any time i plug my tablet in, my usb's go on the fritz and become unuseable until i restart the computer.
(it's only the tablet from what i can tell, because my flashdrive worked fine on it last night)


so bare with me while i try to figure out how to get anything done for the next while. I'll probably cave and try to figure out how to use Rae's desktop until i've figured out everything wrong with my current setup.
(that said i've also hit a bad case of burn out so art has been slow at best anyways)

i may also attempt to do some progress with pencil and paper since that's actually been easier for me to focus on lately.
sorry it's been so snail-slow, i'm doing the best i can right now.

my mom surprised me by offering to pay for Rae and I both to come back to California for the holidays so i ended up with like, no time to work on anything while i was traveling (some of the train rides i actually did some art on but it was all super simple things cause i want my full quality on my big art pieces)

needless to say i had a set back with that, but i'm home now and i'm getting my schedule back together.


Rae pretty much HAS a fulltime job we're just waiting for them to call them in to work.

which leaves me with lots of time to work cause i'll have no one to distract me (on accident or on purpose lol xD)

anyways, starting off January with a deadline commission, and one of my older queued pieces involving knives and aliens :B
from there i'll work on more art with backgrounds, and then i'll start posting art on here again!

Spent the last week packing and getting things ready to move from my apartment, yesterday we spent all day packing stuff into a Uhaul truck and got our desk, bed, entertainment center, and dressers all set up at my moms place. brought the cat along cause i'm not leaving him in an apartment alone 8T

and to top that off? i've actually been sick since we finished cleaning my brothers room out and moved him to stay out in the same room as my other brother.

SOOO he got me sick as a form of revenge for me stealing back my old room. go figure.
