Schedules working fairly well, though i only just got to work with it today on actual commissions. I am proud to say in that time i pretty much finished all of the sketches I needed for a refsheet in that time :D
i have some edits to do now, but it shouldn't take long.

also, finally almost done with a reference sheet for a character i picked up in return for art a while back ono s'about time!

been pretty unmotivated to work on anything these past few days so i've been kinda flopping around in a daze for the last few days.
I have some stupid Christmas tree crap to do, -again- thanks to my mom signing me up for this thing after i told her i don't have the time or the money for this stuff. But yeah, so now i'm trying to figure out what i'm doing, artwise.
I want to work on your commissions but i'm down to the last week that i need to get my stupid tree decorated in and i haven't done -shit- cause i have no idea wtf i'm doing. Mom chose something that i know absolutely nothing about. *thanks mom*

So next year i'm cutting her off, she's not dragging me into this shit again DX too much stress in the past few months.

SO, to let everyone know what's going on, now.

I'm putting myself on a schedule... a work schedule, for these commissions, so that i won't burn myself out too horribly.

I'll be working Tue-Fri.
6 hours a day, then i'm stopping.
That way, i won't be overly stressed out and I'll have time to go job hunting too.

sorry for taking so long to get back to commissions, i did a little work today too. I'll be trying to fix s computer so that her tablet doesn't lag, so maybe i'll be able to stream from there. IDK, we'll see.

at least for a while. I want to finish up what's in my Queue currently before i even think of opening up commissions again, and after that, I'll probably keep them closed for a while so i can get some personal art done.

THE ONLY EXCEPTIONS TO THIS ARE:

if i take quick sketch commissions because for some reason i need money ASAP (but these will be limited to maybe 3 at a time and random so you'll have to catch them as they get posted)

and Collaborations. Mostly with cause how we work i can pump out several drawings and then just throw it at her and not have to worry about it again til she sends me the completed files back.

unless we've already discussed doing a commission for you soon, I am officially closing up shop til i can afford the time to open up regular commissions again. hopefully it won't be longer than a month or two.

What do you guys think would be a reasonable hike for my prices? I know their pretty low atm cause i'm honestly worried people won't buy them if i put em up any higher, but If i wanna survive i'm going to have to hike em up a bit, especially since my speed is pretty much shit slow.


I HAVE TO RAISE THEM, or I'll be homeless and and I will possibly be seperated from eachother because if I have to go anywhere i'll have to go back to my parents place, and there's not room for the both of us there .n.

So i'm going to be completely honest, i took a small break from working on commissions last week, which is why it took me so long to get stuff posted... but i WAS working on sketches for the refsheets at the very least in between my personal art 8'D

I haven't posted anything that i've finished for my personal stuff on FA yet, i'll wait a bit before i decide to do that. (most things just got inks and flat colors if nothing else and a lot of them were just busts/headshots of characters that needed color -shrug-)

I didn't get the job that i wanted from the last journal, no one called back T-T

so i'm on the prowl on Craigslist again since it's the only place i've ever found anyone who calls me back ever.... -ffizzles-

We made the $600 we needed for rent, thanks to everyone who bought and donated, I was called in for a job interview with apartment management, and went in yesterday to meet with the boss. He was really cool, and so far it's looking pretty good.
We're waiting for a second interview call-back now.

I wasn't sure how commissions would hold up if i got this job, but i confirmed some things with Vick when we went in yesterday. If i get this job (which, please please please let me get this job.) i'll be sitting in an office waiting for folks to come in with interest in getting an apartment, so while people AREN'T in possibly renting a place, i'll have time to work on commissions, and it's even ENCOURAGED to have something to do while i'm in there.

So. If i get the job, commissions will be able to remain open, but i'll only be working on them from around 7 a.m to 5 p.m each day, and the rest of the day will be open for me to do anything i want to do. (if i wanna finish a commission, i'll do that, it's just my personal time to do what i want~)

Also if i get this job? i'll have free rent at the apartments themselves, and i'll be making enough to live off of monthly, though the commissions will definitely help in that.

So! that's all the good news on my side.

been a while since i was on my laptop doing anything productive. i've been at my mothers house a lot the past few days, and when not there, i've been out and about. and when i wasn't out and about, i was cleaning the house, sleeping, and generally spacing out pretty hard.

SO. Ripping myself from my inspirational funk, i'll be working on some things tonight, i'll probably have the painting done tonight, and i'm going to try and sketch some other things.

The job isn't looking good :| sales jobs never work out for me, and they're starting to make my resume look pretty damn bad.
i have about 3 jobs on there (soon) that i will only have worked at from 1 day up to 2 weeks at a time.
that's NOT something I want to be putting on my Resume.

went in for my first day of work yesterday, got a sunburn, didn't sell jack shit, started bleeding (and cramping bad) so I was told to come back in Monday and try again. so i'll be finishing up some commissions while i'm home.... something tells me i won't be getting much done regardless. not enough time in the day.

I only have to work for about a week to get my paycheck for $300 though (which I'm pretty sure i'm going to be getting only $300 cause i'm NOT a good sales person)
and after that, maybe another week to see if i sell anything, if not? i'm out, and i'm NEVER accepting a sales job again. I can't deal with the mental stress it causes me.
