Posted 8 years agoDarkEnergonI opened an Etsy at last. Been sewing more than drawing as time went on. Know I've not been active aside from the favorites in my list. Been rolling about in ups and downs dye to having a job, store closing, not moving, moving, etc not fun stuff.
Now however I have an Etsy open to display my work. Slowly adding more over time as I finish between looking for a day job to keep the nature if bills at bay. I wouldn't mind some suggestions to designs I don't have that you guys think would be a good addition to the stock.

In other news I have sent a note to

in turn to explain about the Secret Santa delay. Kuma is understanding about it. Just got to get to work and get the art done for her when I'm settled enough.
On the news of my Uncle, he is still waiting for a heart transplant. At least he has a defib keeping his heart working until he can get the surgery.

Time Restricted / Help Needed
Posted 14 years agoTime to stop feeling sorry, putting myself down, and getting my ass in gear. I needed to write this and put it up. Even if I've only got a few days, this is better than sitting here and just giving up.
With that said. . .
My current living situation is coming to an end. My Father has to move out of this house. It is going into foreclosure and the eviction notices have already started coming in. He and Cheryl already have a place to go. They’re going to move in with Cheryl’s mother. I can’t move in with them since there isn’t going to be any room for me. So as of writing this, I am not going to have a home by the end of the month.
I am currently playing a tense game of waiting with one of my friends. I have no guaranteed chance of moving in with her when the months ends. Currently she is waiting for her Aunt and Uncle to return so they can meet with me. Whether or not I can move in with them on a temporary basis has yet to be seen. So with them things are sitting on a no.
In the meantime I am looking for other possible places to stay.
I really need other, serious, options. At the same time I need someone who is understanding and willing to accept that for the first three months, maximum, I will be doing my best to find a job. My current situation is that I have been trying to find a job in my current area with little success. It has been causing me quite a bit of trouble.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could be able to help by allowing me to stay with you. In the same token I would be extremely grateful if you would be able to link me to places in your area that are hiring so I can get started in applying even before I can move in and start helping out.

Still bad news everyone. . .
Posted 14 years agoDad is back from Florida. I'm assuming my Uncle is doing better since he is.
Aside from that, I've been unable to draw anything during his absence. Due to the fact I still owe a Secret Santa, and the deadline is almost here, as posted on my front page, I may end up on one of those Artist Beware pages because of this. I just haven't had the will to get my desktop running and fuss with my tablet. Nor even grab a pencil and paper. I just can't draw.
Yet another bit of foul news is that I'll be leaving this house I'm in. Either before this month is over or sometime in February. I just can't stay here. I'm at the end of the rope that has been tightening around my neck ever since I moved to New York from Florida.
Working on seeing about moving in with a friend so I don't have the stress of flying and worrying about my stuff following me down. Just a big problem. I've known this friend for awhile, but we haven't met in person. She only lives about an hour away, but I never even knew until a few days ago. I just never asked.
So while I wait on making sure everything is good on her end, have to talk more tonight about things that could be good or bad. Just waiting for her to get home.
Even if it is a yes, my Dad doesn't know. Being 24 means nothing. Being an adult means nothing. I've made many mistakes in the past according to him. None of my friends are my friends because they're imaginary. I haven't met any of them in person. They're not real, they're just like me, or some other variation of it.
My stomach and guts are in knots. My head hurts. I'm trying not to increase my stress even more. I just know I'll have to talk to my Dad soon as he wakes up. I don't want to, but I have to. I especially don't want to do it alone. I can't talk to him face to face. It is almost impossible.
I need to go finish de-stressing myself and get something to eat. Not looking forward to later. Not looking forward to much of anything really.

Posted 14 years agoMy Uncle is in the hospital from heart complications. He might be needing to get a heart transplant if there isn't any other option. My Dad is going to be going down to Florida for him and the rest of the family down there.
The basic bare bones, but this is so why being a drug user is bad. My Uncle is only in his 40s and heart problems happened to my Grandfather and my Grandfather's brother.
I'm going to be worrying, so if I'm not as active, this is why. If I have any changed in news, I'll put it up. For now. . . I'm just hoping and praying he'll be alright.

Yet another update to add.
Sorry for my absence as of late. Came down with stomach flu which put me out of commission for nearly a week right after Christmas. It hit my hard and only now am I feeling good enough to be able to eat and do things of importance.
On that notice, I've got a piece for Secret Santa that I've got to get done. And it will get done. I just got my piece and I adore it. Which only makes me feel bad that I haven't given my person their art gift yet. So it is something I'm planning on doing.
Fortunately, as things are, I'll have the house all to myself for around one to three days since my Dad and Cheryl are getting Josh, Cheryl's son, from the Marines. So I'm going to be doing my best to get a lot of work done in that time. Before as well if it can be helped.
For the moment I've got to spend some social time with Anna since she's over. Then to try and eat something without getting sick again. Blech.

Ranting, rambling, and complaining on FA. . .

Aside from one of my friend's commenting on them and hearing something off FA, there is not much reason to be saying everything here. I've come to learn that aside from letting me vent, there isn't much of a purpose. I'm not exactly getting extra attention, commissions, being pitied, or getting kicked in the ass to get in gear here. I just sometimes come off and sound like a whining complainer.
Leaving these sort of things on Tumblr or something, away from the already drama-ridden FA, is probably something far better. I keep repeating myself, but there is little reason for me to keep leaving echoing journals of the same problems. Sometimes with only changes for the worst, not better.
Still have to say that this stress isn't good for me.

No one within walking distance is hiring. I've checked Indeed.com and any places that are hiring are something I can't do, need me to drive, or are too far away to be driven to and from.
My Dad still isn't happy. Finding more things to point out and things to repeat. Like threatening to "smash the laptop and enjoy it" and saying he should just buy me a plane ticket and send me back to Florida. Saying this isn't a free ride. You haven't called anyone in so-so days. You don't go outside. Bills need to be paid. Your Mother doesn't call after I've left her messages.
And to just add insult to injury is him insulting me. When he asked if I talked to my Mom, I said I did. He asked what about and I told him she asked how everything was and about what I wanted for Christmas. Then he goes off and says I should of told her that, more or less, I'm fat and useless, lazy, don't do anything, just don't care, and think everything is a free ride.
Does he enjoy belittling me? Does he think this will help me? Does he honestly think threatening me, reminding me of my faults while saying there is nothing wrong with me, really think any of this will make me work harder or find a job faster?
The American economy sucks. There are a lot of people unemployed. I'm one of them. No one wants to hire me. I've asked places. They're not hiring. Ones who were didn't want me or they hired someone else.
The bills are not my problem. My being here doesn't charge up anything. My electricity usage is very little. I have a laptop running and my lamp. Sometimes a heater.
I've been so out of it thanks to him, I haven't been able to turn my desktop on and draw anything. Draw in what is seeming like a dwindling hope for an income. I've only had one person show interest in a commission. One I will get done if I can just get a few hours of peace. Maybe I should jam my alarm to the loudest so I'm up before him so try and get something done.
I can't stream because my desktop can't access the internet. So there goes that plan of drawing in front of people, getting daily practice, and maybe a little income.
I don't mean to come off as complaining. I just need an outlet so I don't end up bawling in front of him and having things get even worse.
For the love of all things, I was on the National Suicide Hotline website the other day! That is how bad things went down the other night. I was almost considering it.

I haven't been in college for years and now I get this letter in the mail with this price. To make it better, they can "deduct 15% of my net income before I'm paid" if I was actually working. Well I'm not and so I can't pay anything.

I just needed to get a mini-rant off. Does the universe want to give me more bad news or actually allow me something good so I can start paying this stuff off?

I've got a Minecraft Server & General Update

So I've got my own server running now. Figured out how that works thanks to some reading and help from a friend. Pretty vanilla server as I haven't added any mods to it; most I'm interested are not set up for the full release yet.
Currently I've got it set for a max of 10 players online at once. I haven't had that many on, but I know it can run pretty decently with three people on it.
Everything is going to be legit made. PVP is enabled. Flying is disabled.
No grief, please.
No whitelist. For now.
I've already got
and myself whom play on the server. If you want to join us for a trial run, leave a comment with your Minecraft name. I'll note you the server IP so you can join.
Warning: It might bug a bit when logging on. Refresh and trying again usually works.
I'll be working on and off setting up a beginning town so, hopefully, your first night on the server isn't going to be a dirt hole in the ground.

Dealing with my state of mental health. Ended up having a breakdown the other night. Fortunately
was still online so I was able to just get everything off my mind. A funny video after it and I was able to get to sleep. Then the morning after had a talk with Rattlecat, not on FA, who helped me get to a better stable position for the moment.

Welcome to the Creepshow
Posted 14 years agoIt has actually been quite interesting to see the name whenever I type something. Even be referred to as Creep in conversations. It is something quite amusing and interesting since I've become so used to people calling me Nyx online. As well as acting as the dragon persona. That has slowly been coming to change though.
I haven't really announced this on FurAffinity, but I have been working, slowly, on having my nickname and visual fursona change. If anyone has glanced at the name on my page, it now has three listed.
Nyx - Lunasa - Creepshow
Nyx is/was my dragon fursona. People still refer to me as Nyx.
Lunasa, or Loon as a friend calls me, is my gypsy vanner/irish cob fursona. More recent as it has been more "true" to my bloodline origins.
Creepshow is a, not as new as Loon, but new to the fursona part. undeadclown did an image and I've got sketches of him in my gallery.
...I had more on my mind at the time of starting to write this. Got distracted. I, uh, well... I'll come back to this later.
Eh heh.
EDIT: I need to completely re-write all of this. Thanks to, of all things, a shower, I finally came up with a decent idea for my persona. After a good snack, or longer, I'll be writing up a new journal about the new concept.

Feeling a lot better today. Just got home about a half hour ago with applications. Going to be grabbing some lunch, as greasy as it'll be, watch a YouTube video, and then get set on those applications. Going right back out tomorrow to turn them in. And pick up another one from a store since I, ah, heh, accidentally, lost it on the way home. Oops.
Going to try again with my tablet. The pressure always goes wonky for some reason. Its an older model, so it likes to throw fits, but it works fine when it wants to. So we'll both find out if it works and if there will finally be something new in my gallery.
I really owe quite a bit.
