Hey all, it's been a while!!


First i'd like to thank ya'll for sticking with me despite the lack of activity, hopefully i'll be getting online a bit more now and actually uploading stuff and trying to keep up with people...


Secondly, CFz2013 was absolutely awesome!! Caught up with old friends, met a whole load of new people and even got stupidly drunk for the first time in ages!! Strangely didn't get too bad a case of PCD this year, but got a nice cold instead !! Photos will start to be uploaded soon, just sorting through and doctoring picking the best ones...


So yeah, looking forward to Scotiacon and EF and all of the furry-fueled madness that will ensue !!

Hey guys,

So after months of pestering my mother, we're getting the internet upgraded to unlimited!! This means i'll actually be able to post the photos i take, and keep up something like a social life !! Unfortunately though we've had to pay for the next 3 months in advance with our current provider, which means the ISP switchover won't be happening until the start of September.... Some photos will be uploaded before then, but the main bulk will be uploaded (hopefully) in September....



And my pain-in-the-ass brother is moving off to university in a few months time- WOOOHOOOO!!!



In other news, Confuzzled 2012 was even more awesome than last year!! The hotel was top-notch, i could have easily lived there !! Got drunk, got sunburnt, even got on the dancefloor at one point, met a few old friends, met lots of awesome people, got plenty of photos to post (eventually) and had a few suprises thrown in too..... All in all it was one fantastic weekend and a much needed break from 'normallity'



Thanks to i got in on a trip to RAF Cranwell last Thursday- the place is absolutely amazing!! We saw a few Tutors and King Airs flying around, saw how the junior officers were selected and trained, dined in the officer's mess and had a look around the college building itself... Plus we got to crawl round and sit in the cockpit of a Jaguar GR.1A which was awesome and something i thought i'd never get to do !!



So all-in-all things are looking up at this point!!

I've been working on something in GIMP for a while, and last night it went and crashed on me so i've lost the thing i was working on.... Just as i was about finished!! Bloody typical...

Does anyone know if GIMP 'autosaves' or anything like that? If so, does anyone know where the files usually end up?

I'm living in hope that it's saved somewhere, i can't bear going through it all again....

Just letting ya'll know i'm still alive.... Been some ups and downs as of late (including the death of my dad's cat), then went on holiday and when i got back my stupid brother had used most of the internet allowance so access is even tighter than usual... But yeah- sorry for the lack of activity, i've got plenty of catching up to do and i've got a few sketches on the go and there's plenty of blurry photos of random stuff and furry peeps...

But the main reason for this journal is i'm in need of some help. Not pysciatric, the men in white coats are doing a good job already ....... I'm creating an alternate fursona, and apologies to all the equines out there but this one will be canine!!

I grew up around German Shepherds, and after finding some old photos of me and the girls it got my me thinking (which is never a good thing)... His design is sorted, but so far i've completely failed on names. I know you lot are a creative bunch...

So what would you call a male German Shep character?

Okay, i've had enough of screwing things up in MS Paint and i want something better for colouring sketches... Can anyone recommend any freeware software that a complete newbie would be able to get his head round?

It's a bit late, but have a good Christmas everyone !!

So a week or so ago i FINALLY got round to getting myself an airbrush setup. I went for the Iwata Revolution BR and finally got round to having a play with it just now-

SUCCESS!! Spray pattern ranges from wide enough for me down to quite fine lines, and it's pretty easy to use and clean so it's an all round winner!! Now i can get better paint finishes on my models and i can try new schemes and new effects previously out of my league.

I'm so happy right now, even though i have to work all weekend ^_^

Found out last night there's been a fire at the local abandoned mental asylum where i had my first urbex 'explore' and spent last haloween night!! I've had some memorable times in that place, but it seems now the dream may be over

They don't know how it started but from what i've seen today the place is pretty badly trashed

What's even more annoying is that this place is a listed building which has already been left to rot and deteriorate to the point where it would cost millions just to make it safe !!! I'm betting the fire was started deliberatly to finish the place off, so the bastards can finally declare it a write off, knock it down and build their luxury fucking flats.......

It pisses me off to see a piece of history like the asylum just left to rot despite being 'protected' by law... So i'm going to go through my photo album, remember the good times, and cry...

EDIT:- After i walked round today and got a few photos it looks like its just the 3rd and 2nd floors on the west wing that have been burnt out (typical, the areas with the best floors!!) but how unsound it's made the rest of the place i don't know... Fingers crossed

Sort of- i was riding a particularly moody mare and she decided to get revenge on me for working her... We were trotting and she scraped my leg along the side of the arena and made quite a mess... I still love her though ^_^
