Update On Life #2
Posted 7 years agoWell yesterday was a
day. Firstly the surgery itself took 3 minutes and Bryson is overall OK. Still got home at 6:30 PM, keep in mind we left at 10:45 AM. What do they do back there? Watching videos? Actually brother said they were being shown that.
Glad it went well. However it was not a fun trip. Some words were said, a few misunderstood and there we are at Applebees talking quite loud. Yesterday turned into what usually breaks families up.
Thankfully everybody cooled off after a while and we got home alright. I am now certain that my brother is suffering from the stress of fatherhood. Something has gotten into him and he's a lot more bipolar as of late. Let's hope it gets out of him, as well as all of us, and we can get on enjoying the month.
I'll keep you guys updated as stuff happens! As to why this took so long to post today? We babysat Bryson up until 3 PM. Still 2 months old and just as messy. X3

Update On Life #1
Posted 7 years agoMy mom's doing alright. Might be trying to come down with a head cold, stupid flu shots do not work I swear those doctors are TRYING to get you sick! But at any rate things are......OK, but not fine.
Firstly, my brother's baby (little over 2 months now) has surgery tomorrow at 1 PM. You know that thing where you're born with your lip missing a big piece? Their doing the surgery to PREVENT that. He does not have it, but his lip will break in half as he gets older. So their getting to it now before it gets too far.
Expecting a lot of crying nights. My mom had $1300 due to being stuck in the hospital a while back due to surgery on her foot. $200 is going for Bryson's (the grand baby) surgery. Oddly my brother said "they have enough put back for a upcoming football game"....huh.
About $650 of mom's money is going on the tree that fell behind our house a month ago. I thought about cutting it myself BBBBUUUUUUTTTT it's in half, tall enough to land into our pond (badly overgrown. Any other route it will be smashing our house, the shed, or brother's trailer. So I'd have a 50% of the tree falling and hurting somebody so I can't really do that...
My parents had a big argument the other day. We keep saying it was mom's money but she hasn't got to do anything with it. We were going to eat out Friday, but my brother put on a BIG, and I mean HHHHHUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEE guilt trip on her. I am serious.
For people who claims to be short on money they are eating out daily and can afford tickets to football games. Yeah I ain't buying it. But he has bipolar. Look up Darth Vader, then look up Tirek, then FUSE the two and they wouldn't even last a moment against my brother when he's full on mad. You can just "look" a certain way and he digs a deep hole by asking you about it.
My mom wanted to start Christmas shopping early this year but that's shot to Tartarus (H + ell, look it up) and back. Money + us = you sure money isn't evil? I hate that she suffered a week in the hospital, got $1300 out of it through Unum (dad's work has it as insurance I think) and it's nearly gone before she got to do anything. It's just isn't fair.
I get dad. If the rest of that tree falls we could DIE overnight, lose the shed, and brother gets a damaged home. It's a lose lose battle that my parents got pretty heated about. Brother got his bipolar from somewhere. >_> So that's pretty much how things are at the money. Rocky ice. God if I could cut that tree down myself and not regret it. >_>
A little bit of good news! Brother and his wife bought Bryson a Halloween costume. Alabama's Elephant. There's a mask I wanted to get for over a year now myself. Was $100, now it's $73 (the guy might be close to ceasing making it) and while I can bring it up after tomorrow.....I just don't think I can get it.
I don't want to waste anymore of mom's money, only 1 guy has been commissioning me for over a couple months now, it's just not going to happen. Aw well, more important things to worry about. I can at least give her my money to start her Christmas shopping when the month gets here.
Life is a roller coaster with more downs than it has ups. You just gotta be there when it matters and just hope what you can do is enough. I'll let you guys know how Bryson's surgery goes tomorrow. Thanks for reading. ^^;

Well, A Tree Fell Last Night...
Posted 7 years agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nib0YADhguc
We're been meaning to get that tree trimmed or removed, but could never get enough money saved for it. I tell you my mom was beside herself last night and took some calming down.
I'd like to ask for a little help to earn some money I can use to help my dad in affording to get the rest of that tree removed. Only a matter of time before the remaining part to fall, and if it does....splat goes us home.
If you guys like to help my commissions are always opened, plus a donation option if you don't like what I can offer. Info can be found here.

Update On Mom #14
Posted 7 years agoMy mom's foot surgery went well and came home a few days ago. Been bandaging it like we're suppose to do but yesterday we noted that it looks like the blister is coming back. We're hoping it's not and that it was just the skin trying to heal over the wound.
Overall my mom is doing OK. She feels drained still and has pain but she's getting there. She's on a new med for the infection in her belly that, by the doctor's words, is something she has to use once every 2 months. So next month she'll be off of it, the month after that she's back on and so on and so forth.
It'll take time to see if this surgery will do what it was suppose to. I'll keep you guys updated whenever needed. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Update On Mom #13
Posted 7 years ago(Posted this originally late last night) So let me begin with saying my mom is at the hospital for 2 reasons. Firstly is she has a belly infection that's hurting to the point even pain meds won't help. The other is surgery on her foot. Since a doctor cut off a blister it's turned....well, as you'd expect it would.
So tomorrow we'll know when the surgery is going to take place. She'll likely be there for 2 weeks at most, probably but we're just hoping and praying whatever they do works. I'll keep you guys posted on what we learn and such.
As far as we known my uncle is healing fine. Nephew is growing well (altho they take him everywhere and being out on the move like that left him a bit, well you can guess) and can confirm his eyes as (dark) blue.
It's hard leaving my mom at the hospital. Maybe I can get her to allow me to stay overnight, I don't mind if it's boring just as long as she's not alone. I'll keep you guys updated as much as I can.

My Uncle Made It Through
Posted 7 years agoThe open heart surgery went well, and as far as we know he's doing fine. But he has to stay for another week to make sure everything's fine. Mom said he's not out of the woods yet but at the moment we are just glad that he made it through in one piece.
Update On Mom #12
Posted 7 years agoMom's doing alright at the moment, same as usual. Her left side's been hurting and we think it's due to the food she ate. She didn't eat anything that she wasn't suppose to, mostly eating too much at a time.
I should also tell you guys about one of mom's brothers. Thursday he's ungoing open heart surgery with a 46% of coming out of it alive. He's been there for almost 3 weeks now and two days ago was sent to critical care. We aren't sure what'll happen but we're all praying and hoping that he will come out of it alive.
As of now he's on "no food after midnight" and is off blood thinners. The surgeon's team showed up and confirmed that they will be doing this on Thursday. Any prayers and best wishes will be grateful. When we get home after the surgery (might be well after midnight and we're leaving at 2-3 AM) I'll let you guys know how he did.
In other news, brother's baby is doing very well (I should had tweeted he was born) and is a week old today going by mom. Bryson is his name and he's so tiny and cute it's hard not to smile. X3 Let's just hope he and my uncle can see each other in person after Thursday gets here.

Update On Mom #11
Posted 7 years agoQuite a few bit of news so let's get started here. My uncle is back at the hospital and it's looking as if he might have to under go an open heart surgery again, which he was given 46% (or 48) of surviving it. They did a stress test today and the last text message we got was the test being completed, but uncle and his wife are still awaiting the results.
I'll keep you updated on him. In other news my brother's wife is going to have a C Section. Why? Because something is not working the way it's suppose to and if she waits it could not only hurt the baby, but herself. So it's this tomorrow or we risk it. Better safe than sorry, right?
So you can imagine that lately my mom has been under great stress levels and this morning was very out of it. She's eating a lot now but still praying that it won't hurt her later. But between my uncle and the grand baby there's a lot of worrying and flat out fear. We're praying that this baby is born safety and that my uncle (as well as my mom) lives to see this baby grow.
I'll keep you guys posted but as of right now, you can pretty much guess. Fingers crossed for all 3 of them. 4 if you count my brother's wife, who'll be kept for 2-3 days. At least this grandbaby will be some light in this shroud of uncertainty.

We're Home!
Posted 7 years agoWell we're finally home, altho we really liked the cabin and the silence. It was a fun trip, and recorded a bit of footage! Overall mom had a good time, however as we were leaving a...well it's a spot where you can see for miles and a wide river. Had to get out and work a few steps, mom scratched her leg on an outward stick.
Bandaged it, but yeah that bit of footage will be edited. Her dog was no trouble at all. Altho for the most part she wouldn't go up or down the stairs by herself. That was until last night. We suspect she was looking for my mom, who sat out on the back to smoke, likely smelling her scent.
They got a new hot tube, hot little thing. Saw a squirrel, petted the goats and fished a little bit. Dad caught 3 fishes, mom and I caught zero. Bite vs rubber worm, and the latter won. X3 But we still had a good time.
I'll fully get back into the swing of things tomorrow, and I'll keep you updated on my mom. Home sweet home, but man we already miss the cabin. XD

Update On Mom #10
Posted 7 years agoWell the doctor got that blister off of her foot. Tho he cut it right down to the meat and now it's so touchless she would prefer the blister. She also lost a few more pounds, that's not actually good...but, she's eating here and there.
Next Tuesday we're leaving for our yearly vacation for the 4Th, and then a week after that is the baby's due date. I'm a bit concerned but holding faith that mom's body will improve both with weight and eating more. I one again thank you all for the support and even the road ahead is still a foggy mess, she's trying the best that she can do.
On another note, I give my prayers for the cast of Pawn Stars for the "Old Man" as he was called, passing in the last 24 hours. As well as a friend who had some not good news about her health. I shall be adding her to my prayers at night.

Update On Mom #9
Posted 7 years agoOverall mom's doing some better. That baby shower went well (minus her getting sick), she's eating small bits of food and while staying constantly cold she hadn't felt as tired. She does have a blister on her heel, tho, and today she got it checked.
She was told to not wear saddles or flippers, only shoes while wearing socks. He gave her 2 shots but if it's not better by 10 days they might have to do surgery....on a blister.
The baby is due in just a few weeks, and Brother is acting more hopeless. Their trying to set up a trailer behind our house and yesterday my dad spent most of his time off underneath the darn thing doing Idk what. Wanna know what brother was doing while he should helped? Mowing yards. And playing touch football. The latter I can understand as it was for money (3 games, winners moved on) but not the former.
Seriously our parents should had kicked them out ages ago but for his sake....let's just hope this baby will help them mature, if not at least we'll be here. Nothing really else to mention, I'll keep you guys posted on anything else further but for right now mom is doing OK but still has a long ways to go before the threat of pancreas failure is behind us.

Update On Mom #7
Posted 7 years agoYesterday morning my mom took such a hard fall an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital. They did X-Rays but said nothing was broken and she didn't have a concussion. But her whole left side is in pain. Imagine trying to left a broken arm, that's how painful it is.
We aren't entirely sure that they were right, it feels more seriously than mere bruising but we were told the jarring when she fell could lead to pain for a few days. Mom was able to come home but we're keeping an alert eye on her.
I'll keep you guys posted the past I can. Atm she's alright, stuttering and at times gets a little confused (after such a hard fall to the head and body it's understandable) but she's aware and can talk.
But I don't think her body can manage another fall. She's been lucky, to say the least, and even tho she hates it we have to take care of her and be close so we can help her walk and such. She can't even more her left arm an inch without pain, if it's not broke it should be at the most sprung out of place.

Update On Mom #6
Posted 7 years agoMom went to the doctor today to get her leg checked out. It's been hurting her and was tending to swell up. Turns out it's due to an infection. She was given antibiotics but was told that if it's not better by Wednesday to go back. If she does she'll be kept for 10-12 days on an IV.
So hoping these meds will help and we can avoid that. She's stubborn and the chances of he-she won't stay off of it. She needs too but I doubt she will. As for her pancreas? She's on/off on the proteins but finally goes back to the pancreas doctor next month.
I'll keep you guys updated on her leg when I can. Really hoping to avoid the "stay in hospital for over two weeks" but who knows, maybe she really needs too? If only we can all be super rich to afford all this medical stuff. >_>

Update On Mom #5
Posted 7 years agoWell, so much for eating food being a good thing. Her doctor said that the food hadn't been progressing and is just sitting there in her belly, so she has to go back to liquids only. Which she's reluctant on. Also, lately she's been....well, she's having trouble to keep her balance.
So falling over is almost 80/20%. She also keeps dropping everything and stutters with her wording. My dad, well more so his friends at work, thought she might have vertigo. My brother thought she could had suffered a stroke (we thought it could had been the side effects of a med she was taking as it had a long list of them and they were matching up). Of course she said she would go to get checked but as usual she did not keep that word.
Dad might try to take her after he gets off work, but mom is likely to refuse. I understand her, all that waiting around for hours is very annoying but with her falling over and dropping everything she really needs too. She sees her doctor next month (she has two doctors. The first she sees once every 2 months, the other is for her pancreas) but that's a good few weeks into next month.
Brother keeps telling her that it'll only take 1 bad fall to lose her, basically trying to talk/break her into it. I offer to help her every so often with stuff and do keep an eye on her 24/7. She needs to go get checked but she's very stubburn, I'll let you guys know when she goes to the doctors. Fingers crossed, praying that she doesn't wait until she gets badly hurt...
I once again thanks for those who helped me raise money (still at $207 as of right now) and the overall support. My commissions are still open for anyone interested in helping us out further. I've been silent with these updates as she's been doing pretty well, but she is too sturbborn for her own good. Just like her dad.

Update On Mom #3
Posted 7 years agoEverything seems to be going alright, I mean she still gets dizzy and sick but she seems to be getting there. Last 2 nights she was able to eat and not throw up, tho being close to bed probably helped. I'm a bit worried of her throwing up still but as long as she keeps food down her body should regain strength in time.
It gets hard here and there, seeing her holding her head and knowing she feels terrible yet all I can do is support her and stay on her about what she needs to take in. Know she gets ill at times, but she understands. Still a couple more months (I think) until she sees the doctor again, but she mentioned trying to get seen sooner.
Not sure why he held off on seeing her for 4 months, I agree that in her current health she needs to be seen more---but being $60 a visit...why is it always when you need the help so badly but it costs you a house and more? She's against getting on a list for a transplant, which by reading could be in the $1000s or much higher.
Once again I thank all who donated and commissioned me, now we have $197 (and 5 cents) and I can't be more grateful. If any of you would to help my commissions are still open, I recently completed a ref sheet so look for that.
Not really much else to say, my dad kinda messed up recently. He works building car seats but as he's been doing that for nearly 17 years he's getting worn out. He applied for a night shift cleaning but that ended up hurting his back, and trust me he needed to swap back as hurting his back might as well be breaking it.
Also we confirmed that my brother is going to have a boy, something my mom is happy about because he'll carry the last name (and might look like him). I'll keep you guys updated, maybe a journal once a week, not sure.

Update On Mom #2
Posted 7 years agoMom is a "bit" better where she can eat but she usually throws up not long afterwards. She smashes the food and has been doing good with keeping it down, but her pancreas is still giving her belly pains and a dizzy head. She ate a yogurt the other night and while it made her sick, she kept it down.
She's avoiding using the bathroom because, well for lack of a better word it flat out hurts. The pancreas is more serious but her colon is also messed up, but last night she was able to go a little bit. How can you get milk with the protein and not get clogged? (She's still on the carnation, bed and breakfast diet, she isn't even suppose to be eating solid food yet but if you went 8 + weeks without eating, well you'll understand her)
We still have a very long road ahead with an uncertain bump here and there, but as long as she can keep eating and not throw up..However I know that stresses the body and isn't fun, she is due for another doctor visit in 3 months but had called him and is currently awaiting a call back.
Thanks to a few kind friends I now have saved $162, I hope we can keep this going as it's only a baby step towards the $1000s we'll need in the event she loses or needs a new pancreas. The ER said it is damaged but they sent her home, actually that ER had a doctor who ALMOST TOOK MY MOM IN FOR A OPEN HEART SURGERY and thank God himself that they caught the mistake in time.
When you wait at the ER from midnight to well over 11 AM in the morning you want any excuse to leave. So not trying that ER again, from what mom said it was unpleasant (imagine the 3 Stooges in her place but mildly kid friendly).
Other news we found out yesterday that my brother "might" be having a boy. What they did was, and keep in mind mom's Bday is March the 1st, had somebody look at the results for them and stuck the gender color balloons in a box. That why all of us would be surprised, but that ultrasound I'm not entirely sure. My dad used an old "pencil and string" trick that, depending on how it turns, predicts the kids you have and are about to have.
So a little nephew, mom likes this as he'll carry the last name. I seriously want her here to watch this baby grow, he is a strong thing to fight for but we still need all the help we can get. So if any of you want to donate (points on DA, money through paypal) or commission (a image or story) either ask me for the info or just look on my page for them.

For those who have commissioned/donated already, I can't thank you enough for doing so. Even if this number doesn't go up $162 is still better than I could had ever imagined. Feel free to share this update at the very least.

I hatet o ask, but I need help
Posted 7 years agoHey guys. I kinda don't want to write this but it's very important. My mom's pancreas is very weak, "wiped out" as her doctor said. And if we can't get it up and running, she'll die...and my brother is expecting a baby in a few months so we need to help and keep our mom alive.
Right now she's on carnations, bed and breakfast drinks. The proteins. She's on them for up to 4 months (3 as this month is nearing its' end) but he did say it would take up to 2-3 years at most before she can get her body back on track. It's scary, and we need all the help we can get to help her.
She "can" live without the pancreas, but the meds for that (as well as replacing it with a new one) are mega costly. That's why I'm posting this journal, I know asking for commissions before hadn't really brought any fruit but I'm still asking for them because I want to help my mom to live as long as she possibly can.
I'm hoping that if I can get enough commissions I can help save up enough money in the event that she needs a new pancreas, or just to afford the meds that we're sure she'll need at one point. So guys, I can't beg for you to help but if you could spare at least around $5-$15 it'll truly mean a lot. If you can't, then at least share this journal and get the word out that we need help.
I'll post and keep you guys updated on my mom, this road of a 2-3 years of recovery is going to feel long and scary, but we have faith. Below are the prices I'll be keeping up for a while, you can ask me about them at any time and paypal would be the most preferred. Just know I am only asking this because I truly love my mommy and we want her here to watch her grandchild grow up.
$15 per-image. Each image can be anything you want from a single character to a couple. Just note, I tend to take from bases and, for MLP, I rip backgrounds from the show. I can draw non-pony related images, but it might not be as clean and straight.
$5 if you want a sketch colored, same price if you want a reference sheet. I "can" do a comic if you have one that needs to be colored, but the $5 will be per-page if this is the case.
$25 if you want an animation/gif colored. Yes I can import these and color them, but it'll take a while to do every frame.
No sex, no nude and no bathroom related stuff (if your commission is to color a sketch I "might" accept that as it's already drawn). I thank you for reading this journal, and if you decide to help I'd be forever indebted.

Emergency Commissions PLEASE Read!
Posted 8 years agoA good friend of mine, CosmicXLight, was recently in a car crash. He's OK, but is stuck at the hospital...so I'm posting this journal and asking you guys to offer him help. At the very least spread this journal and get the word out that he needs support right now, I am hoping at least one f you does this as a car crash is a seriously thing and shouldn't be brushed off.

Commissions Anyone?
Posted 8 years agoJust taking a random chance here. Prices can be anywhere from $5-$15 but here are a few extras:
$2 per extra character, I can do up to 3 or maybe 4 characters but it'll will be $5 each.
Backgrounds are a extra $3.
Coloring an sketch would be $4 per-sketch.
I don't draw sex very well as I never really attempt it. If you have a sketch and want it colored tho, that's a different story. No waterspot or scat, sorry. If anybody is interested just shoot me a PM or if you have any questions post here and I'll answer them.

Emergency Commissions Please Read
Posted 8 years agoMy friend Cosmic Light is in need of commissions as he can't afford to buy any food for the weekend. So if you have money to spare he's doing $5 commissions, if you can't then at the very least spread this journal. Going an entire weekend without any food isn't good, so please help him out if you're able.
