To put it bluntly, this year has sucked big time. First off, I spent half the year working at Walmart and that was really uncomfortable because they barely acknowledged my physical limitations and pile accomodations under layers of beuracracy. I ended up getting a new MA job but that ended up not working out and I have been job hunting to no avail since then. To really throw salt into the wound, my car got stolen two weeks after losing the MA job with my MTG decks in it and they were not recovered with the car. I got some reimbursement to start rebuilding my collection but it has been a slow process. I'm barely treading water on unemployment at this point and I am really hoping someone can remove head from ass long enough to let me prove myself as an MA. In short, 2025 has been the worst year of my life and I am close to rock bottom

First off, it's my birthday. I'm officially one year away from the dreaded age of 30. Don't expect me to be any more mature though

I also finally landed a new medical assistant job and will soon be leaving my crappy interim retail job

I'm currently in the house I grew up in and this will be the last time I see it because my parents have retired and are soon going to be selling the house

It's been just under a year since I moved out and I'm glad I landed on my hind paws before the one year mark. Wish me luck in my coming endeavors

As of today, I have moved out of the house I spent most of my life living in and I'm now on my own. My twin brother and I are in our new apartment and with jobs lined up and things are looking up from here

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Buffalo with my friend and brother to look at apartments and we found one that was perfect for all of us. We put in our applications and we all got approved. My friend and her roomies will be moving at the end of May and my brother and I are moving a week later at the start of June. Wish me luck in the new home

First off, I finally landed a medical assistant job after months of searching and several dead ends. I start training tomorrow and I'm both excited and nervous.

The second big change is still a ways off, but still relevant here. By next summer, I will be leaving my home town. My parents are retiring soon and will be putting the house up this coming spring. I plan to move to Buffalo and live near some friends who are also moving there

My family received sad news today. Our cat, Otis, had been sick for the last few days and unfortunately it's the worst possible outcome. He had a perforated bowel, peritonitis, and air and fluid in his abdomen, causing an infection. All of that combined with the discovery of diabetes and a heart murmur made surgery a dicey prospect, so we made the incredibly hard decision to put him down. That cat has been a beloved part of our family for the last 10 years and he will always be in our hearts
