General | Posted 5 years agoWell I accidentally hit settings and lost my whole flipping journal!
I am doing okay! Just trying to stay offline so I can finish commissions without distractions. I am going to be posting a large reference sheet tonight :) I have two commissions that are almost finished, wolf-skulls and crispynibbles design customs! I will have a few messages to answer and I will get to them later today. I had to put a few commissions on hold so I could finish this commission tonight !

General | Posted 5 years agoWow. I didn't think my absence for a few weeks during this global pandemic was going to cause so much chaos. I am so sorry for not coming on sooner to answer all of your messages. I still have a few left to answer. I feel like I let everyone down because of things out of my control. This past year or really the past 3 years has been hell for my family. I am just doing my best. Art is the ONLY thing I have for myself. Sometimes I can't work everyday but I always finish what I start. I often re-do things over and over again because it doesn't look right to me. I second guess everything. I spend a lot of time just starting over from scratch to make sure everything I put out is quality work. I am a slow Artist because I do not have to the pleasure of just sitting at a desk and drawing for 12 hours a day. Over the past year I have only been able to get a few hours in a day at most except for when both of the kids were at school! Now they are home 24/7 and I am homeschooling. I am a slow Artist because I want to do my best. I feel like I have to apologize to everyone over and over again.

Luvborn- Redid some background details now working on final touches
Baphomeow- Clothes for custom
Wowl- Finish second pose set for reference sheet, coloring and feather edits.
MatthewDragonBlaze- redoing some background aspects since it looks wonky when colored. Fullbody portion is finish tho.
Ovithedragon- redoing caves, full body portion is finished, needs shading.
DariusSaguina- I am so sorry! I am lining and coloring. Sorry for the delay again.
I will have more added to this list when I am finished with a few commissions. These are not in order of completion.
I have been doing a ton of research on composition and perspective so I have been doing minor but necessary changes to a few background layouts to help with the line of vision.
Thank you guys for sticking by me in these difficult times! I really appreciate it. I am doing my best. I really am. If I could be doing more I would. I am working every minute I am able. Mostly 10pm to 2am eastern. Today Is a no school work day so I am doing my best to get to messages and sort things out the best I can. I am so sincerely sorry for everyone I've let down.

General | Posted 5 years agoHey guys. I wanted tp update you all since I haven't been on here in a few weeks. My life is so hectic right now! My kids are out of school until next year and I am required to homeschool them for the remainder of the year. Before the shelter in place order I was babysitting my friends 3 children because daycares were closed but still charging to hold thier spots. That only lasted for two weeks but it was extremely overwhelming eeek.
Between homeschool, refereeing and taking them outside everyday to get energy out I have very little time for social media. I am working on art every single day. I have a handful of commissions finished and not posted yet and about 5-6 that are nearly finished right now. I logged in the other day with 29 unread messages. Sorry but that is VERY VERY overwhelming for me so I am going through them a few at a time. I am down to 10 right now. I will get to all of them.

Sorry for the inconvenience guys. I know this is an overwhelming and scary time for many. I am terrified that my daughter will get sick. So scared. My husband still has to work because he works with chickens and eggs. We are so worried he will bring it home.

General | Posted 5 years agoHeeeeyyyyoooo ! Just a quick update. I'll post a real journal in a few days. right now I am working on a bunch of commissions simultaneously like usual. Obviously some commissions are further along. I have a hyena design and Tenne's Ref Sheet that will probably be finished within the next two days.
I made an adopt today because I have a few light expenses that will be coming or trying to come off my paypal card.
However, my Daughters 5th birthday is next month on the 4th and I am going to be taking 2 commissions to cover the small party and a new bike and helmet. Will be about $200 all together. She wants to go bowling and that is $40, $70 for the bike, probably $10 for a new helmet. I am one of those moms that gets the other child a present on thier siblings birthdays XD My son is in desperate need of a new bike as well. Since he had a growth spurt this winter his knees hit the handle bars and he has had the same bike for 5 years now. I don't want to take on those new commission until I get out two more complete commissions. I will be advertising soon tho.
On another note. Only one of my siblings remembered my birthday. Neither of my parents called or have called me. I am feeling pretty down about that. I feel so alone. Small Update
General | Posted 5 years agoHey! I am feeling so tired today. Darn weather going up and down. I am going to keep going with the list should have another commission completed in a few days. Aiming for 2-3. I have a bunch of lining to get out of the way. We will see! I need to do a few adopts sometime to pay off a few things before my paypal negatives XD Going to exercise and then back to work. Today flew by. I just can't wake up! New diet making me lethargic XD Calorie deficit and no energy.

General | Posted 5 years agoStill not 30 yet XD I feel old tho. Nothing special going on tomorrow. Just working on art as usual. Probably going to an indoor water park in New Hampshire with the kiddos next weekend.
Thinking about talking some feral reference sheets or anthro wing-it half bodies. Not sure yet. I want to get my to-do list down some more.
At the end of the month my boyfriend is visiting his father in Florida for a week so I will be home alone with the kiddos. I am not sure how my productivity will fare. Honestly might get more done XD Hubby doesn't support my hobby/career choice and makes things difficult. . Darks Updates 2/24

Between school vacation and my ADD sticking to one thing until it is finished has been rough XD
Currently I have 6 commissions that are almost done I am just jumping back and forth.
Tomorrow I am planning to finish this Reference sheet and the next day another, and the day after another and so forth.
I am still catching up on notes from school vacation. I underestimated how hard it would be to work with both kids home for a whole week.
Today was SOOOOOOOO productive even for the short time they were at school. I even exercised and made a homecooked meal. Took them sledding.
Was a good day :)
Tomorrow I am aiming to finish Cades commission
Afterwards Furmansaks(finish color/stats/close ups), Tenne(finish color/stats), Resper(finish color/stats/closeups), Luvborn(finish color), Dariussanguna(finish edits, do color), and Rezukii are on top.
I am working on those all week. I am still doing other commissions in-between, no worries. Those are just the closest to finished as of right now. Update 2/22

General | Posted 6 years agoI just have this recent urge to create the human like characters after working on some humanoid art for a commission. Thinking I want to do bust adopts in the future. Pretty ears, horns and big teeth. Off to bring my son to his fathers. Will be back shortly after to work on more art!

General | Posted 6 years agoSaw that I have 4000 page views now! Thats pretty cool!. I have been keeping busy working on artwork. Might do another adopt this coming week just for a little bit of income.
Having stupid furnace problems again. Thankful it was a very warm day since its been -17 for a few days. Ofcourse our landlord isn't being any help. We have our back up kerosene heater just incase it stays out. I have a migraine from hell from having to restart the furnace over and over and breathing in the fumes.
I am going to keep my pace today working on lining and concepts. Tomorrow I am going to finish up a reference sheet. I have so many pieces that only need color and they are done XD I am going to do my best to get those all done next week.
Also my daughters ear appointment went well!
Bummed I forgot all about posting the valentines day YCH I was working on. I feel like I am just going to edit it and post it as a general ych. Someone up for a little critic?

General | Posted 6 years agoI am getting out a lot of edits, line previews and other wips between yesterday and today. I am going to keep going down my list! Almost finished with a reference sheet and I have finished a lot of linework this week!
I am feeling a lot better! Strep is almost gone and I can swallow without being in agony. Thank you Nyquil for letting me get 8 hrs of sleep! I put together my total gym and successfully worked out this morning! My room is turning into a mini home gym. My next goal is buy an exercise bike. I found one on Amazon, an as seen on tv for $199. My mother in law has the same one and it is really nice and perfect for my short ass legs. I want to lose 20-25lbs so I can wear my stack of jeans I haven't fit in in two years. I am sick of wearing leggings and sweats.
Tomorrow my goal is to send :

Darius, armor edits and detail, bust if I can get to it

Today I am working on:

General | Posted 6 years agoWow it has been one awful week. My daughter is only dealing with a cough now but my son has had a fever off and on and I have a sore throat. No school for them today anyway due to the snow.
Just drawing an making a few adopts here and there to cover things that are due.
I have a few commissions that are in the end stages so this week I should have 2 completed pieces posed. 3 if I hustle. Backgrounds on a few pieces and shading are taking the most time which is understandable. Still am no actively open for commissions. I am just not ready yet.
I am behind on sending out previews and notes on things I have been working on this week. I was without internet for 2 days. It was actually a statewide thing. During the icestorm the electricity company accidentally cut the main fiber optic cable and you would have though Maine was reverted back t the stone age. Never seen so many people piss and moan before. Small Update

Best Art Program?
General | Posted 6 years ago Hello! It is me again! I am doing some research on art programs. I love sai and clip but I really want to try something with more options. Something newer. I like my photoshop elements 6 but it is older than dirt. I have looked at paintshop pro and photoshop, the newer version. One is like $200 more than the other. Have any of you had experience with either of these programs? I am thinking of trying the photoshop 7 day trial and seeing how it goes. I've been watching people stream using that art program and it just looks so nice and so many different options.
I need a good program I can line in besides Sai. It is getting out of hand with the random exiting while I am working. So frustrating. Small Update

My littlest spiked a fever a few hours ago out of the blue so no school for her tomorrow :/ Poor kiddo she is always getting sick. I will be up keeping a close eye on her. Her temp was just under 103 and now it is 100. Lining a commission, working on edits and finishing up lining on a rear pose.
I am getting advice for my streamlabs obs issues so hopefully I will be streaming again soon! I also want to do some sketch commissions. Not right now though but eventually.

General | Posted 6 years agoI have no idea what I did wrong. I tried to stream like usual and it isn't playing on picarto. I even reset the key. Soooooooo I guess no stream today which is a bummer.
But I am lining today like I said. I did want to show off the pretty forest background I am working on for a commission and a few other things but hey *shrugs* what can I do.

General | Posted 6 years agoSpent ALL day working on backgrounds for larger commissions. Almost finished with the first! Been jumping between 3 art programs because none of them all have the brushes I need XD it is very very odd. I think I will have a wip for the one that is almost finished when I get the color for the character done.
Tomorrow I am still contemplating streaming. Depends on if it lags or not. I am off to bed tho! I am so tired. Tomorrow I am going to be back to line work and edits.

So I am in need of an updated journal. Well here it is so far! This week I am mostly going to work on getting out previews, edits, lining and backgrounds for larger commissions! That will allow for a lot more commissions to be finished the following week. I mean it worked these past two weeks so I am going to keep going! It is just a rough outline. I won't know what will be finished next week until the end of this week.
Also, I am SO tired. I am trying to muster the energy to draw. I took yesterday off so I need to get to work. Caffeine time!
Edit; I wanted to apologize to a few people! My trello was messed up. A few things were moved unintentionally. If you are not on my queue and are supposed to be let me know! I also had an incident when I was transferring files a few weeks ago where uncompleted works were put in my Completed folder. I am pretty sure I have it all sorted out now and I have already informed the people it effected.
