I'm also happy to say that my final revision of 'Fall Forever Forward', the epic novel version of the painting on my main page, is well underway.

If you enjoy: science fiction / ecology / wolves / conspiracy / thriller / cyberpunk / solarpunk / dystopian societies / epic concepts / space / hard scifi... then I'm pleased to say that elements of all these are present, and more.

Amusingly, the story isn't even really fiction.

I'm not donating the funds I receive from this to conservation. This time, I'm the one who needs money. Wonder how that happened...

Unless it becomes a bestseller, in which case yes, I shall be donating the profits to wolf conservation as usual.

Sometimes I hear a story about wolves that sounds like it could only have been created as disinformation. Since I began informally studying biology/ecology though, I've had to adopt a more open, and perhaps scientifc view. So instead of dismissing it, I've put one of these stories to the test through research, theory and experiment. The results were.. unexpected!

Hi folks.

I don't often paint animals anymore, as my style has shifted to mix environmental awareness and surrealism, and I'm placing more emphasis on creating educational content on YouTube since, well, that's where I have my largest audience now and the best chance to make a difference in this world.

There will likely be one new painting featured on FurAffinity this year, and prints will be available.

Well I like the idea of sharing things I learn and, honestly, making videos is a good break from painting.

Hi folks, you can now find me on YouTube by searching 'Project DarkWolf'. Things will be slow at first as I'm attempting to turn this into a part-time job, but with luck I'll succeed and you'll get to see a lot more paintings, sketches and updates, as well as timelapse artwork footage, interviews with those who work in wolf conservation (more on that in a minute) and information on wolves that isn't often covered.

Right now you can watch an interview I conducted with the founder of the Slovak Wildlife Society and Carpathian Wolf Watch programme, Robin Rigg. You'll get to hear about conservation and wolf recovery in the Carpathian mountains, and volunteering opportunities for civilians to go out in the field and track wolves with the team.

Thanks to everyone who's been here from the start, and those who've only just found the project.

Things have grown here faster than I ever intended these last four years and I reckon it'll get better yet!

Why?

I'm planning on expanding my work to include more educational content and other media in the future, and decided on a new name that would reflect on these changes.

Also, it doesn't include the word 'fart' in the address.

It's been a great first year, with over £350 raised for wolf conservation efforts and other wildlife projects. The response so far has been hugely encouraging and I'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported DarkWolf on FA and my other sites. Non eof this would have been possible without you all, and I'm sure 2017 will see things only get better!
