Rebranding and Future Plans
Posted 3 years agoYo yo, everyone! Been a while since I last wrote something. This is just a heads up for the folks who still follow this account and like to know what will be happening and has happened. Along the way I will answer questions that may inevitably arise but feel free to ask if I didn't address anything you're still wondering about.
First off, there is the main topic of this journal. I had originally chose the user name of "Sandvichguy1" for two reasons: 1. "Sandvichguy" was already taken and 2. It was just a simple and easy username I could always fall back on. Of course this decision dates back a looong time ago and I didn't think much about the road ahead. But recently I had been taking on commissions from time to time for extra income and I had begun to think about my 'brand'. "Sandvichguy" just doesn't seem like a very professional brand name and I don't want to give an impression that I am all just about Team Fortress 2 either.
Thus, after some thinking, I believe it is time to switch things up. I will be going through the various art site profiles I have and changing the username where I can. DeviantArt is a tricky one since that requires a core membership to do so and other sites simply do not have that function. I will provide links to all my accounts so that no matter the username you can still find me. And now for the big reveal. What is this new and exciting username I picked out? Yerlad Banner. Of course I picked out something that had a medieval fantasy flair and I intend to flesh out the name for a future character. From now on, Yerlad Banner or some form of this name will be the signature of all my future artwork and commissions.

And now, the questions, Q/A thing...
Why change your 'brand' now?
I simply feel it's time. Sandvichguy had gotten me by this far when all I did was make something cool I wanted to share. However, now wanting to expand commissions, I feel I have to change my username to be something more professional and distinct. My username and online persona on gaming platforms such as Steam will remain the same.
Do you do art commissions now?
I do in fact take on commissions from time to time, usually from some folks I know on Discord servers. Of course I would like to expand on this and open up multiple slots. This does mean I will have to find some way to announce when I have commission slots open. I will make an announcement when I figure out which platform to base this in.
So what will happen to your art that ISN'T signed as "Yerlad Banner?"
Nothing. Any artwork I had made up until now will remain as is. No edits or redraws with the new signature will be made.
How will I know what other art platforms you're on?
All works I make from now on will include links to alternate accounts on other platforms. I will likewise include links on my profile page for anyone who wants to follow me over at Itaku or my degen den.

That should cover the most important stuff. If you still have questions feel free to comment and I will do my best to get back to you. For now, peace.

Possibility of Commissions
Posted 6 years agoSo I been thinking of possibly taking commissions for a little side cash. However I first want to know if anyone is actually interested. If you are interested in commissions leave a comment on this journal. Likewise, if you are experienced in this kind of work feel free to leave advice for a newcomer.
