So one of my birthday presents arrived early! A 16 gig iPod Touch! :o My birthday isn't until the 18th but wow... Feels like it's here already! Definitely one of my favorite bdays! (Besides the one I got Dobby on, and the delicious chocolate cake Justin/Shadow got me!)

So far I've installed Metal Gear Solid Touch lite on it and the Idiot Test, I wanna grab Colours next.. I have $29 to waste on apps XD help me!

So I've been working with the books Schizo and Arjuna recommended me waay back and finally got my proportions correct(I think). Only problem? Heads seem too small, even if they are correctly proportionate with bodies.

So without going into boring detail, I've been in pain for 4 or so days now. Everytime I've tried to schedule an appointment for same day visits at Madigan(Fort Lewis.) they are all FULL. I've been told to try again tomorrow at 7 but if the pain gets worse to haul ass to Emergency Care.

At first the atmosphere was just fucking creepy, seeing Majini just stare you down or beat the shit out of inanimate objects around town before all hell broke loose.

Kinda tired of Las Plagas, even if it's Type 2/Type 3(And of course the excuse for lack of woman infected Plagas is that Type 3 outright kills them over a day or two due to body structure) as Leon's sunshine filled adventure in RE4 ruined em for me.

Sheva can be an idiot sometimes, other times she's fucking amazing.(Give her the stun rod. Watch as she takes on an entire crowd.) She's amazing at stating the obvious too. How's the weather looking Sheva? IT'S KINDA FEELIN LIKE BLOOOOOOOM HERE CHRIS.

I hate the dog Plagas. ALOT. Same with the fucking underground spiders. I will say it was nice to see less European/Arabic Majini as you got away from the Shantytown and into the more tribal areas.

I got Fallout 3 last night.

6-7 hours in and I give it a 9.5 so far. I traded in some shit so I didn't have to spend too much cash(Gotta save up plenty for spending come FC!) and renewed my MVP card at Gamecrazy, which actually gave me a shit-ton more credit. Add in the chick at the cashier was flirting with me and wouldn't stop talking about Fallout 3 or Fable 2(Which I'll be getting sometime in November!) annnnd I got an extra 20% off the guide(Which already had 20%) off and figured I'd get it... Yay for gay guy managing to get bonuses for firtation?

Anyhoo the game is fuckwin. I've never played an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game so the whole open world do ANYTHING approach was rather disturbing and made me really dazed and confused... Especially when I'm used the linear stuff of JRPG's. The whole Washington D.C. post-nuke in 2077 setting is pretty damn gorgeous and the enemies are shockingly tough, the VATS system makes it easier to fight and brings in so much strat too!

From what I hear the game is 7/8's as big as Oblivion...Which is pretty fucking huge compared to other games so I feel I'll be playing this well into the Christmas season... Also nothing beats shooting some angry marauder chick three times in the face and on the fourth shot causing her head to explode into chunks, leaving a still twitching jaw on her shoulders.

I also built a plane in Garry's Mod last night...And crashed the server when I started flying it.

Skipping to Sundaaaay.... Last day of the con so in a way it was sad yet at the same time I was reminded of how much of a good time I had and just how many people I met/hung out with. Didn't really do much but bullshit near or in the Dealers Den till 5 or so when I said bye to Kurisu and Kitsumi, after that I caught the closing ceremony and headed back home!

I must say this was much better than my first con and all the people I met made it all the better, also having two great roommates(Also friends I'd like to say!) made the con experience that much better, I just need to learn how to not be a light sleeper at a con! :)

Where to begin?

Well.... Fiiirst  dalvenge came and grabbed me and we drove up to the Seatac area while chillin to some tunes.

When we got there I met up with my roommates  chestnuts and  kitsumi ! Both of which were incredibly nice and great to be around. Kurisu and I went to taco hell after the dealers den closed for Friday night, on our way back  lykanthrope attacked us! Luckily his Cunt Punch ability was no match for my epic Waiter Tripping ability at the time. Anyhoo we chatted with him for a bit before walking back to the hotel.

From there we went to an artjam and hung out with others like  neoneon

After that, came sleeep! In the morning I just did some chillaxin after I bought a copy of Heathen City, definitely like Ayato's work in that! Anyhoo, Kurisu and I did some more stuff for lunch and then he went back to the dealers room with Kitsumi, I think I shambled into an artjam room or something till the dealers room closed down for the night.

Went out for foods aaaaaagaaaiiin then later that night got to hang out with Lykanthrope some more and met up with  neon_grizzly and more peeps! After some BS'ing in the lobby it was artjam time again! This time  shiuk sit down at our table :o

What are some beverages people would recommend that soothe the mind and allow you to draw easier than you normally do?

I haven't found one outside of hot cocoa that works. Caffeine makes me jittery, and hot cocoa makes me sleepy x_x

Everything before the proportions section of the book: Ignore, seriously.

Start with proportions and get the hang of how the body should look, after that you can hurt your brain with all the nitty gritty details in the front section of the book.

I must say, I would have returned this book or forgot about it if it weren't for  schizowolf . He really helped out with deciding to work on the book rather than going for an e-z mode 'how to draw blahblah' or 'how to draw anime blahblah' stuff.

If I can find a good scanner, I'll scan in the sketches from this, if not, I apologize for the lack of art! Please understand, I don't wont to do any serious work till I feel comfortable with my abilities in anatomy, however I'd love to share my progress with you guys and I plan to fill up several sketch books this summer!

Stick to Cel-shading like I normally do or continue trying to work on getting a painting style similar to  kamui 's and  fabercastel 's?

I've been trying, I really have, but it is such a pain to try to learn a rather new subject like painting, which is different from cel-shading and much harder....

Anyhoo, what do you guys suggest?

Anyone have any tips on painting(digital painting mind ya!) or advice? Or links to beginners stuff to painting(Please not the deviant art bullshit unless its REALLY good. Most of that stuff jumps from A to D with little to no explanation.)

Also, I've had a cold for a week and a half now, the worst part is over but I've been dealing with an ear ache that was caused by the main course of that fantastic week in bed.
