Part 2, Chapter 2, Section 62, Subsection 1 of the Coroners and Justice Act of 2009.

"It is an offence for a person to be in possession of a prohibited image of a child."

Part 2, Chapter 2, Section 64, Subsection 1.

"Where a person is charged with an offence under section 62(1), it is a defence for the person to prove any of the following matters—"

Paragraph B.
"(b) that the person had not seen the image concerned and did not know, nor had any cause to suspect, it to be a prohibited image of a child; "

Paragraph C.
"© that the person—

(i) was sent the image concerned without any prior request having been made by or on behalf of the person, and

(ii) did not keep it for an unreasonable time. "


MEANING. If the thumbnail of a cub porn image gets loaded into your cache, and you weren't aware of it, or did not request it, you have the defense under part 2, chapter 2, section 64, subsection 1, paragraph c that you "were sent the image without any prior request", and if you NOTICE it and clear your cache, "did not keep it for an unreasonable time".

Merely browsing a website with 'cub porn' on it in the UK isn't illegal. It's illegal to LOOK at it, and SAVE it willingly.



AND if you're REALLY worried about it. Just download firefox and use private browsing mode. STORES NO CACHE, so you don't even have to worry about it.

I am by NO MEANS telling people not to be wary of the laws. I'm simply stating that I wish for people to read and understand what they're flipping out about BEFORE they flip out about it. If after reading this, and knowing exactly what the law states, you still wish to be wary of using FA, by all means, that is your decision.

Okay, so I had enough people seem to respond and be interested in my last journal, that I'll just make a separate one to tell people how to get on it.

Go there and set up an account.
After that, you have to go into your World of Warcraft\data\enUS (or whatever language code you use)\ and edit the file called realmlist.wtf. You can just right click on it and open it in wordpad or notepad. Erase everything in that file and replace it with the following:

set realmlist wow.bloowuff.com

and then save it.

Go back out to the main world of warcraft directory and delete the Cache folder. Start wow, and then login with the account you created before. select the "Development" region, and there will be 2 servers to pick from. "WOWDAX" is the 'sandbox' server, where I can/will do just about anything, ie give you massive amounts of gold, whatever gear you want, modify your reputations, and soforth. "WoW IS SRS BZNS" is for actual play, leveling your characters up from the beginning.

Yes, I know there will be bugs. This is a community supported project and people are working on it all the time to get it up to date, so don't go bonkers if something doesn't go right. =3

Also, for people who still want to play on retail servers, there's a program you can google for called the wow realm manager, which will allow you to switch back and forth between custom servers, and the retail ones.

---ALSO, IMPORTANT---

I forgot patch 3.2 comes out today, and the server only supports 3.1.3.9947. If you haven't updated to 3.2 yet, make sure you create a link straight to the wow.exe file in your world of warcraft directory, otherwise if you launch it through the launcher, it'll update to 3.2 and you won't be able to log in till the server comes out with a 3.2 release.

If you DID upgrade to 3.2, do this:
go into the data folder and delete patch.mpq. Then run the Repair.exe file to get back to 3.0.1. Then you have to re-apply all the individual WoW-3.X.X-to-3.X.X files in order to get back to 3.1.3, then launch straight from the wow.exe file.

For anyone interested, I set up a private WoW server.
Note me if you're interested, and I'll shoot you the details on how to get on it. =D

I was heading home from my mom's last night and hit something in the road, that caused me to swerve into a jersey barrier. Not much body damage, but my frame, rims, and tires are all torn to hell.

I got fired on Friday.

Here's the long story.

I woke up on Friday with bad stomach cramps. I got ready for work, and just as I was getting ready to walk out the door, I needed to go to the bathroom. I didn't take my phone in with me because it was kind of an emergency, so I couldn't call and leave a message for my manager.

This caused me to get to work about 25 minutes late due to the delay and a bit of traffic. I called my manager again and left a message explaining what happened.

He sends me an e-mail 2 hours later that just says "Why were you late?" so I explain it again in the e-mail.

So, I leave to head home around 5, and had been talking to my manager up to the time I was leaving about stuff for next week.

At 6:30, I get a call from my manager and the HR person saying "We're terminating your employment as of today. You failed to meet the expectations set forth for you."

Soooo, yeah. I got shitcanned for taking a shit.

Okay, so.

Me and Jason had the brilliant idea of getting a parlor suite at AC this year.

Though, things fell through a LITTLE bit in terms of planning.

I need to find 2 more people to split my room attached to the parlor suite.

Total cost will be $364.80 for Thursday - Sunday. (if I can get 2 more people.
$437.76 or not happening at all if I can only find 1.)

Anyone interested, please let me know. But don't feel bad if I say no. I am a little picky about my roommates now.

It's amazing what a little well-versed lawsuit threat can do. It doesn't matter if you know what you're talking about, as long as you make it SOUND like you know what you're talking about.

Okay, so, at first, the title of this journal may sound funny... but it's not.

This is almost how I could have died, or at least been severely injured, had a safety device not done it's job.

So most of you know how much I bitch about the guy that owns the house we're renting the basement of... of him and his kids. Well, his kids decided it would be a good idea to stuff 5 tennis balls into the exhaust pipe for the furnace outside. Down the rolled, and plugged up the exhaust for the furnace. The furnace that is in the room right next to mine. The gas-fired furnace.

So, had the furnace not realized that the exhaust pipe was clogged, and kept on running, I could have easily been subjected to vast amounts of carbon monoxide. Which I'm still not sure that I haven't been. I'm going to schedule a blood test tomorrow sometime to check for it, with the way I've been feeling lately.

I'm going to send him a nice e-mail stating that if he doesn't give us our deposit back by the 1st when we're out of here, I'm going to file a report on him against the virginia residential landlord tenant act, as well as report him to the northern virginia association of realtors (since he is a real estate agent as well). If that doesn't work, I'm just going to threaten (and possible follow through with it) to take him to small claims court, and sue him for negligence and endangerment, and that he should be lucky he doesn't have an involuntary manslaughter charge on his hands.
