New Commission prices

For the most part, I just shifted the prices up by one. Though some specific adjustments are that extra characters are 80% of the base, rounded to the nearest $0.25. The maximum complexity for backgrounds is the same price as the base knees up price.

- Full body: $11.50 -> $14.75
- Shoulders up extra: $5.75 -> $7.50
- Knees up extra: $7.25 -> $9.25
- Full body extra: $8.75 -> $11.75
- Background Maximum: $8.50 -> $11.50

Posted a month agoSo after half a year, I'm finally feeling a bit less like a corpse aimlessly wandering towards nothingness, so small bit of an update, mostly in regards to my commissions.

Decided to just have everything in one place on my Neocities so its easier for me to keep track of and so that something like another FurAffinity outage won't kill access to my commission info. At the moment, all I'm using it for is easy access to my commission info, and more recently, access to my queue.

It won't be a massive bump in prices. Just a little bit. I'll figure it out closer to October. Though I do intend to at least clear out my current queue of 3 before then. Which brings me to another small update.

If I started doing 'your character here' pieces, what would anyone be interested in that? It'd probably be a bit easier than my standard commissions, so I imagine it'd be priced around what my commissions currently are right now, with no real surcharge since it's not a fully custom artwork. I'd definitely like a bit of feedback on this idea before I either commit or just let go of it for who-knows-how-long.

It's so over
Posted a year agoSo, those ban waves eh?I don't even draw ABDL or regression stuff, the thought of drawing it squicks me out, but at least I don't have a tantrum and ban dozens-hundreds of people just because I don't like their art or the stuff they draw.
Yes this is about the recent ban waves that've been happening.
I am trying so hard to give the FA mods the benefit of the doubt, but when they keep falling down one flight of stairs after another, it gets harder and harder. In all honesty, it is so infuriating, and I'm not even in the community they're targeting!
Anyway, just gonna plug my stuff in advance here in case I get banned for calling out this bullshit. It's damn near impossible for me to trust the mods anymore:

Posted a year agoUnfortunately I don't really have a backlog of art since I haven't really been feeling the vibes with digital art aside from one instance that wasn't even NSFW and my brain has been mostly consumed by one project for four days straight.
Letting y'all know just in case something like this ever happens again that any art that can be found on my page can also be found on my itaku. Been trying to make a more active effort to upload my stuff there at the same time as I do here.

But hopefully the absolute catastrophic failure of a hack and forwarding to the FBI might make someone think twice about trying to take down this site again.

Posted a year agoThe new one should be arriving today (or if I end up crashing before it gets here, sometime early next week).
So pretty soon it should be a bit less uncomfortable to sit at my desk, since the one I'm borrowing is a few steps away from hell (but its better than nothing at least).
Been slowly picking art back up after the incident since my back is healing, so expect that sometime in the next hour (assuming I actually remember to upload them). Just don't expect my normal quality, I feel very much off my normal game tbh.

Chair's busted

The old chair's seat broke off entirely and dumped me onto the floor.
At least half my body is either sore or in pain (mostly the left side thankfully, so my main hand is still good for the moment).
Getting a new one, though it isn't gonna be here for a little bit.
I might do some smaller stuff here or there, but more complex stuff is on hold.

You're still free to commission be of course, just don't expect me to take them as often. I'll mostly take it if it's a commission I particularly like or I actually know you.

Just please let me know who you are before sending me a friend request out of the blue on places like Discord. I've been having quite a bit of trouble with bots on there.
And please don't have "hi" or "hello" be the only thing in your message if we haven't talked. Kind of sets off my mind's spam filter and makes me think you're either a bot or a hacked account.

Yea, no, goes without saying, but they fucking didn't. All they did was disable replies on the tweet because they knew people would've been calling them out. Hasn't stopped a few people from beating their ass in the QRTs for a bit.
EDIT: Just went looking, far as I can see they still haven't even addressed the bit about allowing vore with minors which is just a tiny bit hypocritical if you ask me. You say you're doing this to supposedly keep minors out of NSFW art, yet you've kept this bit (or if you have removed it, you haven't addressed it publicly) that allows people to draw minors engaging with a fetish, especially when you use the word vore. K.
Anyway, keep posting Eevee. All over the site.

Hopefully, after seeing the OVERWHELMING amount of backlash they got for refusing to put this policy back in the oven, even though it's literally fucking raw, they come to the sensible conclu-- Pfft...

Shitshow of a sinking ship
Posted 2 years agoSo, they addressed one of the points the community made. One. Neither of the others. Not the fact vore art of minors is still allowed, or the fact that the vast majority of the comments I've seen are opposed to this slippery slope of a policy update, and quite frankly, some of us (me included) are getting just a teensy bit FRUSTRATED with their refusal to walk back on this (the only way they're gonna be able to salvage anything at this rate) or even properly address it. "Oh there's a document coming!" Fucking WHERE. It's been a week, and if they weren't prepared to clarify their policy, maybe they shouldn't have announced it until they were ready?? ... Do the mods just have their heads so far up their collective asses that they can't hear all the shouting in their little state carnival of the site? Because it sure seems like that's the case!
So, since the people running this siteinto the ground don't seem to be stopping no matter how much overwhelming backlash this whole thing is getting, I've decided to make a couple other sites where you'll be able to find me once I'm inevitably banned.
Of course, I'm gonna keep posting art until then, because as I said in my last journal:
Oh, you want me gone from the site for a feral drawing I did of a sentient ADULT Pokémon that wasn't a final stage evolution, just like a massive amount of this site? Then fucking pry this account from my cold dead fingers.
The last one is in case I ever decide to try picking up writing stories, which is... Well, there's a maybe-possible chance of that??? Not very likely, but still possible (really I just made it to more easily read and comment on stories from people on here that also have their stories over there).
Before I post this journal, I'll just leave my message in the FurAffinity Discord that I made the other day here (with slight revisions for relevancy):
* You cannot have any subjectivity in your rules, especially when the potential result is being labelled as having drawn CP and potentially having your livelihood ruined if FurAffinity is where you do most of your commission work. Subjective opinion should not be involved in a ruling.
* The general idea of this rule is good, loli/shota/cub (they're all CP) should straight up burn. However, as said above, the old ruleset worked fine. The 1000 year old vampire that looks like a child should most certainly not be lewded. However, what about drawing species on-model that barely change their appearance (like Eevee, one of the most popular Pokesonas of all time)? Guess we'll just die too.
* These updates really should have been looked over thoroughly and made absolutely MONOLITHIC before being announced to the public. All the lack of proper clarification and insertion of subjectivity has done is create stress and anxiety for your community, as well as create discourse between two camps to the point it's cannibalizing itself.
* Did you seriously think making a policy update that would throw your site's users into a panic was a good idea when you don't have enough mod staff to even have a hope of keeping up with the tickets, the site is a buggy mess and tends to go down pretty frequently compared to other sites of its kind, and when people have been asking for things for years, y'know, LIKE A BLACKLIST?
* Genuinely, what the actual fuck were you guys thinking? "Mental maturity doesn't matter" (nice job creating a loophole where an adult character that's mentally a child that literally cannot consent can be drawn) and "Minors involved in non-sexualized interests like transformation and vore are allowed" (vore, especially when using that term, is primarily a FETISH, massive yikes). I think most people with more than two braincells to rub together can see the fucking issue here.
The only way this whole situation can be even remotely salvaged, far as I can tell, is by walking back on this policy update in it's entirety (but keep the thing about teen pregnancy being banned), remove the clause about minors being involved in vore (because as much as you try to say otherwise, it's still a fetish, especially when you use that term for it), and if you ever try to introduce something like it again, you have to fucking clarify EVERYTHING so there's no room for abuse! And even then, a good chunk of your users probably aren't going to trust you anymore. I obviously can't speak for everyone, but a vast majority of the messages I've seen have been frustrated with you guys.
I'm sorry if I'm being overly harsh here or if my thoughts are getting jumbled up, especially since I know some of the mods don't have as much of a say in the policy updates and are forced to put up with the community's frustrations like glorified PR. It's just so simultaneously frustrating, exhausting and infuriating to seemingly have your livelihood put at risk for almost a week (since, while slow, FurAffinity is where I've gotten the majority of my commissions), with uncertainty of what actually constitutes breaking the rules because subjectivity is being thrown in (which is something you really don't want to do with potentially alleging someone drew cub/CP), and have have it seem like nobody in charge is listening to the main thing that's being argued aside from canned responses.

* You cannot have any subjectivity in your rules, especially when the potential result is being labelled as having drawn CP and potentially having your livelihood ruined if FurAffinity is where you do most of your commission work. Subjective opinion should not be involved in a ruling.
* The general idea of this rule is good, loli/shota/cub (they're all CP) should straight up burn. However, as said above, the old ruleset worked fine. The 1000 year old vampire that looks like a child should most certainly not be lewded. However, what about drawing species on-model that barely change their appearance (like Eevee, one of the most popular Pokesonas of all time)? Guess we'll just die too.
* These updates really should have been looked over thoroughly and made absolutely MONOLITHIC before being announced to the public. All the lack of proper clarification and insertion of subjectivity has done is create stress and anxiety for your community, as well as create discourse between two camps to the point it's cannibalizing itself.

I've had a lot of thoughts about this, and I just sorta need to get it all off my chest right now before I explode. Just skip to the bottom if you want to avoid the vent rant and just want to get to my socials.
They have the right idea: loli, shota, cub (and whatever else they want to rebrand to, doesn't make a difference, it's still CP) have no place here.
HOWEVER
The execution is god-awful. So what if you draw on-model Pokemon, Digimon, shortstacks, kobolds, halflings, or just about any other character that's under 5', or to be more specific to what they're focusing on for this policy update, feral on-model Pokémon that aren't final-stage (like, y'know, Eevee)?

Like, the overall vagueness of all of it fucking invites people to just yeet art they don't like. Hell, when someone submitted a ticket asking about some of their gallery, they said that Yoshis "from an anatomical standpoint, they would be removed". FUCKING. YOSHIS. Just, please fuck all the way off.
And what happened when someone asked for clarification in the FurAffinity Discord (because the forums were killed off ages ago)? Given vague answers, told to submit a trouble ticket, and timed out for a week.
And given how inconsistent I've heard the mod team can be, this just opens the door for inconsistent rulings. Multiple mods could approve an art, while another could condemn it, and whoopsy fucking daisy, because this one guy thinks your on-model non-final stage Pokémon looks too cutesy to be an adult, so this is obviously a child! Get banned for drawing CP even though it's an adult and you've clarified it's an adult!

Thought I'd make a journal basically explaining that I'm a bit fed up with PayPal's throwing the ban hammer around, so I intend to find an alternative. No idea if they'll hit me with one of those bans, but I'd much prefer having something prepared just in case.
If you guys have any alternatives that you personally use for commissions (either paying or receiving), I'm all ears!

Anyway, for all intents and purposes, the migration onto this account is complete. Though favs may pop up from my old account as my phone is still linked to it.
