DISASSEMBLING THIIIIIINGS!
Posted 13 years agoOh yeah. Messging round with disassembling a laptop.
Not this one, I'm not smart enough to risk taking apart the laptop that I use on a daily basis, no, I'm taking apart a laptop that is from 2005. AAAAAAAANCIENT!
Well, I might be able to salvage a few parts from it, maybe make an Eldritch Abomination of technology. Or just a disaster, that works too. Well, it would make sense to make a disaster, it's dead anyway.
Looking back, I have no idea how the hell I managed to live with that thing. It ran Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (TH06) at 30fps, when it was meant to run at 60fps. And that was when I wasn't running anything else at the same time.
Speaking of computers, hopefully I'll be able to snag one of the laptops or hard drives from my to-be-old school, seeing as they're getting a new system, come summer. Well, it'd be useful, I wouldn't have to constantly lend my laptop to my parents if I do.
Well, that's my update. God, I haven't done an update like this in ages.

Well, that was a weird-ass dream
Posted 13 years agoIt was sort of vague and chopped-up, but I'll recall what I could remember.
Well, it was a charity event of some sort. It was probably roughly around 3:30pm, from the fact that there were a large amount of school kids milling around town (Make a note of that). Looking ahead, I see probably about 30-40 fursuiters running this charity event, a few familiar faces including

Posted 13 years agoI spent ages trying to find the sticky notes gadget for my computer, because I figured it would be sensible to note down these courses I was looking at for future reference. Got a little niffed because I couldn't find it.
Then my mother piped up, said would I like to use actual sticky notes?
OHGOD, SOOOOOO INTENSE~

You take the pencil, grip it firmly aaaaand write.
Then you grab the paper (Ohgosh, you can separate it into many little thin sheets, dangerous~!) and pull~!
Then I juuuuust stick it somewhere on my desk.
Knowing me, with how many notes I'm going to be making of sites and such, I'm probably going to end up with the borders of my desk covered in sticky notes. :3

Went for my college interview today.
Long story short, was told that I was overqualified for the level 2 course, and underqualified for the level 3 course due to my seemingly severe lack of variation in my portfolio.
Out of mean-ness, I'm probably not going to respond to them now until they can apologise for sending my depression into a horrendous low (shit excuse, I know) and I go and find a new course.
My own fault, I guess.

Posted 14 years agoBe a smart shopper, go onto websites that sell shortdated food and such. You can stock up on tons of the stuff for a fraction of the price you'd pay in a store. I know this all too well, seeing as my mother does. She managed to get just under £70+ (RRP) worth of foods, add on the delivery charges... Overall, she paid just £25.
£70 worth of foods for just £18. I think there's a good bulk deal happening here, somewhere...
She says she'll do a one of these bulk shops every month. It seems like an extremely sensible idea, putting it honestly.

Anyway, I thinks I'm going to need some good luck, considering that I've got an exam tomorrow, and another one on the coming Tuesday... Maths and Physics respectively. Pleasant. =.=

On other completely unrelated news, my mother noticed that I am getting a little bit of a belly, now. Although I will admit, yes, I was crossing my arms at the time, and I do often seemingly puff my belly out to have something to rest on (slightly), but that's not the point. ^^

Haven't done any of the work that was given to me over the christmas break. So, doing it now. Seriously, why the hell would they stress us out further than is already necessary? Exams coming up in January~!

A Very Merry Christmas [RANT!]
Posted 14 years agoOkay, slight rant upcoming. I'd like you to hear me out, but don't like? Don't read. Simple as.
Well, good thing and bad thing about my parents. Both the parents are very much for the whole family Christmas kind of thing, and I can respect that. I go along with it. I love it.
The one moment I want say, an hour to myself, I go upstairs, 5 minutes later, my stepdad calls me away from my room, claims I've got no respect (for the family Christmas thing, that we should all be together), brings me back downstairs. Because of that, I'm a bit less happy than if I would have had that hour to myself just to catch up with people, be social, find out what people are gloating about having got, gloat about what I got, grin contently at how stuffed I was, and THEN come back downstairs and get back to normal.
Shortly after having taken me back downstairs away from my room, he goes to the study and cuts me clean off from any form of connecting with just about anyone whatsoever, and disconnects the router. Frankly, he's so much of a technophobe, I'm honestly surprised he can even do that. He only uses the laptop once every 3-4 days, and even then only for around 2-3 hours at a time.
I hardly ever phone/text anyone, largely because I'm so much of a cheapskate that I have to be extremely sparing with my PAYG money. Stupid student budget.
Well, that's a rant over and done with. Just thought I'd get that out. Hope everyone had a very Merry christmas. ^^
