so, I've been thinking about what I'm doing with my art and what direction I want to go with it.
and I realized that I'm mostly drawing only commissions for the last year (at least i invest in it most of my time).
the reason is obvious, it's my only source of income. but i want to do more fanart and original content! and i will, but i can still use some help.
I'm thinking about taking my patreon more seriously. for now, it's just early access because i was a mess lately and too busy with work.
i want it to help me support myself so i have at least some income besides commissions.
i have a couple of ideas about what i can put there now:
✦ .psd files and high-res pics
✦ wips (maybe with comments and breakdowns)
✦ time-lapses
✦ commission discount
✦ exclusive yches (thinking about keeping yches only for patrons)
✦ artwork requests for higher tiers
✦ exclusive raffles (once in two or three months maybe?)
✦ my experimental artworks (and commissions based on them)
what i want to add there, but it requires some audience:

today is april 25, and it’s exactly one year since we left russia never to come back (hopefully)
I want to tell you about how this year was for us!
honestly, I have lots of complicated feelings about it. I think I’ll start with the tough part.
it was and still is a very exhausting experience.
since billy and I are both autistic, we like comfort, stability and routine. and this year was (and still is) very much lack those things. and there seems to be no improvement in the near future, haha.
we lived in two countries and moved seven times in one year.
I had a room with a window in it for like two weeks.
salary from my job was cut in half last autumn, and I quit it completely this january.
we are still managing to stabilize our income, me doing art is the only source of income for our family. This month, in particular, is very scary because of the money situation.
we exhausted all our savings and need to refill this part of the budget to be able to move to Canada when the time comes.
our visa application has still not even been looked at. we applied to it in september.
we are burned out and tired, we don’t have our home, there is every day more and more absolutely insane news about the situation in our country of origin, we are very worried about our friends and relatives there, and we don't have resources to go to therapy and recharge.
but we are doing the best we can.
On the bright side, this year changed our lives for the best in many ways!
we found a lot of new friends around the world, and we reconnected with some old friends.
People always amazed me, but this year showed me how beautiful and kind they can be.
I want to be part of the community once again.
and furry community feels like home now.
it motivates me to improve my art and improve my social skills! it gave me hope that I can earn money not just by quietly drawing soulless banners for some business people who don’t even care about who is drawing them. even tho my business is not doing its best right now, I’m sure I’ll be there! with help from billy and from all your support (I have more than 1000 followers here!! wtf!!!), there is no chance I won’t be able to achieve my goals.
even if it’s hard now, I don’t want to go back to all this corporate bullshit, I was there too long anyways. I want to talk to real people who share their worldviews with me and who are passionate about what they create.
so, what’s next?
for now, billy and I are working on the way to give my art process a little bit more structure and promote my art better (I’m well at making art, but bad at making content!! need to fix it asap)
we are working on the discord server. I’m planning to start my twich/picarto channel soon! I’m designing a live2d avatar out of my fursona. Hopefully, we are gonna have lots of fun on streams!
(discord spoiler: I scrambled all my old social media for my old art, and billy is now structuring my art archive! hope it’s gonna be interesting for you to look at my art journey 😮💨)
In my free time, I’m working on improving my anatomy and colour knowledge. and I’m working hard to show you guys my animated projects! I’m so slow at drawing, trying to fix this problem starting with basics.

I have been thinking about creating a discord server for a long time now. but all the preparations are kinda really time-consuming for one person, so I want to ask: is anybody interested? maybe it would be more comfortable for someone to follow me and communicate with me in such a format 🤔
I'm thinking about channels for chatting, shitposting, my drawing archive, channels for patreon supporters etc.
also, I really want to do streams; maybe someone is interested in chilling with me while I’m drawing?
please let me know! looks like it's a big project, for me and I don't want this energy to be wasted (at least for now)
